"Sure, there's something inherently cheesy about a harbor cruise but this one offers incredible views of Hong Kong's skyline (cocktails in hand) and is surprisingly worth it. You can reserve online; the boat is also available for special event private charters."

24 Best Things to Do in Hong Kong

"Aqualuna’s Symphony of Lights Cruise, which coincides with the city’s multimedia laser and lights show, is a perfect way to unwind before dinner or after a long day of touring. The experience is all about enjoying a glass of complimentary wine or a cocktail while admiring the neon-lit skyscrapers. From this vantage point, it feels as if you’re being hugged by Victoria Harbour on all sides. Get your camera ready—as soon as the Symphony of Lights show begins, most guests are busy taking photos." - Kate Springer

The best attraction I had in tsim sha tsui! Definitely worth the money. Comes with a free drink like wine, beer, soft drinks etc. about an hour ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the night lights. Customer service on board or before boarding is great too.

We had the most wonderful evening on the Aqua Luna boat in Hong Kong, and it made my wife’s birthday truly special. We went for the sunset cruise, and the timing could not have been better – watching the city slowly light up while the sky turned golden and pink was an unforgettable experience. The boat itself is beautiful and iconic, with its traditional red sails that add so much character to the Hong Kong skyline. The atmosphere on board was both relaxing and romantic, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We enjoyed a glass of wine while taking in the breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour, the skyline, and the mountains in the distance. It felt like the perfect balance of calm, celebration, and a touch of magic. For anyone visiting Hong Kong, the Aqua Luna sunset cruise is an absolute must-do. It’s a unique way to experience the beauty of the city from the water, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to enjoy a peaceful evening. We will always remember this night as one of the highlights of our trip.

Great company to go Out with, be sure to prebook! Really likes our boat and the white wine served on board. The light show is short but worth booking. Boat for. I liked our spot on the top deck starboard.

Aqualuna, one of Hong Kong's most iconic attractions, offers a stunning harbor cruise experience aboard a traditional Chinese junk boat. Departing from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier No. 1, it provides breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline, especially during the evening "Symphony of Lights" show. The boat’s authentic red sails and luxurious seating create a relaxing yet memorable ambiance. You can enjoy drinks and light snacks while soaking in the panoramic scenery. Cruises run throughout the day and evening, with ticket prices starting at around HKD 200, making it a perfect blend of culture, relaxation, and sightseeing.

Highly recommend this experience. You get to mince about Victoria Harbour on a pirate ship with wine and dim sum whilst tourists take photos of you from the harbour front. The late afternoon is perfect for pre sunset drinks.

Between the glowing sails and the city lights, Hong Kong reveals its soul, a dance of heritage and modernity upon the waters of Victoria Harbour.

Nice to experience being aboard that very eye catching wooden boat with red sails on on the harbor. The afternoon sailing is still great if not the high demand sunset and symphony times.

The Aqualuna Ferry tour was a great experience. I booked this on Klook for discounted rates. Although the weather wasn’t great on our scheduled ferry ride, it did not disappoint. The pier is not hard to find and there were staff guiding tourists. For people who are not joining the tours, the pier is also a good spot to take pictures of the harbour.

Yelp
When I think of Hong Kong, I see a junk boat with red sails and the city buildings in the background. I'd argue that it's one of the most iconic pictures of Hong Kong and I was excited to see Aqua Luna offering various types of cruises in the junk boat. We originally bought our tickets online but because of a typhoon, all cruises were cancelled. Luckily, we had the option for a refund or reschedule and we chose refund for flexibility...just in case we couldn't make the reschedule. We managed to find time later but I wasn't able to finalize the purchase before sales closed on the website. I was able to call them and they told me to just show up at the pick-up location and pay in person. Credit card accepted! Every night at 8PM, the city puts up a light show with music. You can watch that on either side of the harbor but being in the waters sounded like a unique viewpoint and you can switch sides whenever you want. The Symphony of Lights cruise has two pickup spots, one at Tsim Sha Tsui Pier 1 (7:30PM) and the other at Central Pier 9 (7:45PM). If you want the best seats, go to the Tsim Sha Tsui Pier 1 pickup and head upstairs. You'll want the seats on the right side of the boat. The cruise itself was pretty fantastic. The city lights reflect on the water and it makes for a great picture. It was a August summer night, right after a typhoon, and the weather/temperature was way more manageable. However, the light show was really anti-climatic. The picture on Aqua Luna's website makes it look so grand but what we saw was just some flashing lights, some sparse lasers. It's like they spread out the special effects across the buildings too much. But that's not Aqua Luna's problem, they're just providing a means and they did a great job at that! Each ticket also gets you a drink!

Yelp
What an incredible experience! We did the dim sum cruise on this ship and it was one of our highlights of our Hong Kong trip. The boat was very new and clean. It wasn't too full so every group pretty much had their own section in the boat and it was very comfortable. The staff was so attentive and I felt so special being waited on so frequently. The Dim sum was to perfectly arranged in a huge decorative boat. The Dim Sum quality was also incredible with such an amazing variety. I was initially worried that it wouldn't be enough for two people but we were actually stuffed afterwards. The boat ride was about 90 mins total. The only criticism that I had was they served the dim sum right away when we were going upstream against the wind so it was mega mega windy. I wish they sailed slower or went super fast to the end then sailed back with the wind where they can then serve the dim sum without any wind. I can see that being a problem though if people don't have enough time to eat or if the dim sum gets cold waiting too long. Either way the boat was amazing, the cruise and location was great, dim sum quality was 10/10 and service was great. Highly recommend the Dim Sum Cruise.

Yelp
The idea of riding on a refurbished Chinese Junk boat in Hong Kong Harbor sounds romantic. And indeed it is; especially with a drink in hand, a gentle breeze blowing, eastern music surrounding, and a loved one to share the moment with. I recommend to board on TST side as that is the first pick up spot, and arrive early to choose desired seats. My kids asked me, "Don't you want to go upstairs where they have cushioned recliners?" I replied, " No, I want see the sites and feel the breeze up close. But you are welcome to go upstairs if you preferred." It was a great experience to be on this beautiful boat to view the harbor with the changing skylight from dusk to night. Magnificent.

Yelp
The Aqua Luna Victoria Harbour Tour was a highlight of a recent visit to Hong Kong. If the weather is nice, it is definitely worth your time and money to grab a seat on this red sail ship. With ports in Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Wanchai, and Hung Hom, it's possible to embark nearly anywhere in the harbor. Tickets can be bought in advance, which I would encourage if you want to do the evening harbor cruise, as I am told that it sells out quickly. On the day that I cruised, I could not have ordered up better weather. Even in the midst of the afternoon it was warm with a refreshing breeze on the harbor, and there was no sign of haze or humidity. The skyline of Hong Kong was a silhouette in a perfect azure sky, and the water was still and calm in the harbor. I boarded in Central, and the pier was easy to find from the MTR station -- particularly notable since it was my first day in HK! Since I hadn't paid in advance, I made sure to have enough cash on hand for my ticket. At the pier, the ship pulled up and I was greeted by several welcoming sailors; the staff was so friendly and courteous throughout the whole tour. Once aboard, I chose a seat on the upper deck, which allowed me to recline and admire a view of the harbor. Between the lull of the gentle waves, the refreshing breeze, and the relaxing lounge music that was playing, I could have taken a nap -- some passengers did! Drinks can be purchased on board for a reasonable price, and they are often included in the evening tours. This is one activity that I would recommend without hesitation to anyone while in Hong Kong!

Yelp
Out of all activities that i did, this is the best one... Anyone who visit hk must go on the aqua luna. They have several time, please rsvp for the one for the famous nightly light show called symphony of light.. It starts 8 pm daily. While ya on board you will able to see the light show, it's so beautiful... A must see. The tix include a complimentary drink.. Have wine, beers, juice, and soda.. I got myself an orange juice. Remember to take lots of pix.. This deserves 10 stars

Yelp
This is a really worthwhile activity to do whilst you're in HK. Their 'antique' Chinese Junk boat picks you up either from Central pier or from the Tsim Sha Tsui pier in Kowloon for a 45 minute trip round Victoria Harbour at night. During the day they also stop at Wan Chai and Hung Hom. Their circular route means you get dropped off back at the same place you boarded. You're helped aboard the refurbished 70-odd year old boat by the staff, and can either sit on the enclosed upper deck on sofas or on the lower open air deck (I'd suggest the latter for much better views) and listen to chilled music whilst you sail along. A glass of beer, wine or juice is included with the fare for you to enjoy as you take in the spectacular sights of both HK Island and Kowloon's skylines, with the boat's three crimson sails fluttering above you. The sails are purely decorative though, as the barge is actually motorised, but if you drown out the sound you can definitely pretend you're a pirate ;)

Yelp
While I haven't actually been on the boat. I always take the opportunity to take a few photos if I see the boat as it portrays the traditional Hong Kong against the backdrop of the modern buildings. Oh and I'm giving this 5 stars because the pirate that this boat is named after shares the same family/clan name as me. =P

Yelp
The Aqua Luna is a hand-crafted vessel property of the Aqua Restaurant Group, which has other cool bars and restaurants in town. It sails around Victoria Harbour doing 45-minutes harbour cruises day and night. We picked it for cruising the harbour because of its beauty, because it is allegedly the last remaining of these traditional junks and because there was a free drink (wine) included in the price. Since we wanted to see the famous Symphony of Lights from the water, we thought this was a good way to do it, in a nice traditional ship and sipping a glass of wine. The wine was pretty bad (so -1 star), but the experience was nice, we booked online for the Symphony of Lights cruise sailing at 7.30 pm from Tsim Sha Tsui's pier 1 (then picks up other people at Central, pier 9, at 7.45 pm, right in time for the lights show). If you are interested in sailing with the Aqua Luna, and especially for the Symphony of lights sailing, you must book online through their website, they take reservations up to 10 days in advance but they get booked up quickly. And if you want to be among the first ones to pick the best seats, arrive at least 40 minutes before the sailing time. For us it was the best way to fully appreciate the Symphony of Lights show, that way we got to see the lights on both sides of the harbour, the ship is beautiful but it is certainly more expensive than any other ways to sail the Harbour and watch the lights show.
