Sueños Tulum

We had a wonderfully relaxing Christmas at Sueños. The rooms are comfortable. They had a crib and mosquito net for our <2 year old son, and offered him beach toys to play with. It’s clear that the family that runs Sueños and all their staff take deep pride in offering top notch service and caring for the environment. The property itself is gorgeous, intimate, and full of trees and soft sand. The staff rake the beaches and separate trash and organics. They have truly thought about every detail. They also helped us with restaurant reservations, arranged a tour of Sian Ka’an Biosphere with a great private tour company, and gave us helpful tips for touring Tulum. Highly recommend staying at Sueños. We hope to return!

Giovanna and her family maintain the property very well. It’s super clean. They’re super friendly and very helpful for any recommendations I need. As a solo female traveler, Giovanna made sure to call taxis for me that she trusts. That made me feel safe riding the taxis alone. She also helped me with ordering my amazon delivery and checked in on me when I was feeling sick. Teo the waiter is also super friendly! The private beach is beautiful! And given it’s a smaller hotel the beach is never crowded and you get to have your own lounging space on the beach. Highly recommend! I’d definitely return when I go back to Tulum 🙌

It’s a fantastic stay. Family running hotel, with love in each detail. Design of the hotel is fantastic and rooms are perfect (if you are couple - master suite is recommended strongly). If you want to rest and relax this is a place you have to choose. Only 15-20 minutes walking by beach to night dancing clubs in the centre of zone. Restaurant at the hotel is very good also and only for people who stay at the hotel and pricing is very reasonable for Tulum. Not like beach clubs hotels where people can buy tickets and use facilities. Suppose it was the best hotel for our 3weeks trip in Mexico. Great shop is nearby (1 minute walk) - you can buy what you want (cold beer, wine, cheese, jamon, even coffee). Great!

Suenos was a dream come true. Stunning location, amazing food, and perfect for a winter getaway. They thought of everything (no need to bring a beach bag!) and we left the resort, but wouldn’t need to. The setting was A+, the rooms (read beds) were so comfortable, and I’ll be dreaming of the food and drinks for years to come. The complimentary breakfast doesn’t get any better. I highly recommend the yoga and massage, both wonderful. Lastly, the staff was standout. Every individual made our stay welcoming and delightful. Thank you Suenos! I hope to see you again 💕.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The hospitality was elite, and the property itself feels like a hidden gem—spacious, secure, and incredibly quiet. It’s rare to find such tranquility while being steps away from everything the Tulum beach area has to offer. I would highly recommend this to individuals, couples, and families alike who are looking for a silent, serene retreat amidst the local energy.

If you are looking for restorative peace, you’ve found it. I came to Tulum looking for healing- spent a few days at a retreat center in the jungle and then was looking for an oasis near the ocean. I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in Tulum over the years but 𝕊𝕦𝕖𝕟̃𝕠𝕤 will now have my heart. Caring staff, beautiful, comfortable rooms, a safe, private feeling beach… it felt like a luxury family environment. Grateful for every sunset there. Close enough to the action and shopping if you want that, far enough to get peaceful sleep if your vibing that way

We had the best time at Suenos, this is the most special hotel we have ever stayed at. You can move around barefoot and the hotel grounds are just magical like a Mayan jungle sanctuary. The beach is the most wonderful we have ever seen, with white sand, turquoise shallow warm water and the prettiest fish. The beach was so private and calm, the nicest part we’ve seen left and right. The breakfast especially and all food and drinks were delicious. We loved everyone working here and the super cute dogs, it truly felt like staying with friends. It was great for the kids, we were able to borrow sand toys and all food requests were made possible. The location is perfect, with their own parking area and a supermarket right across the street and amazing restaurants to the left and right in walking distance. I recommend renting a car to visit the ruins and cenotes. Thank you for a week in paradise!

What a special place! Staying at Sueños was the absolute highlight of our trip. I’ll note that we had also booked a few nights at La Zebra to mix things up and we immediately regretted not just staying put (Zebra had nice rooms, but felt a lot more crowded, slick, and impersonal). The property feels like a magical secret jungle garden, the staff are lovely (and they were wonderful with our 3 and 5 year old kiddos), and the beach somehow felt very private, despite being flanked by all the other hotels. The included breakfast was delicious and generous, and I loved that the front desk area had extra sun screen to use, kids beach toys to borrow, and drinking water available. Our ground floor beach suite was super clean and cute, with a very private feeling front patio area (despite being right by the pool - actually very convenient). We also didn’t wear shoes the whole time there and I could feel my blood pressure drop every time I walked through the property. I’m not necessarily sold on Tulum but I really want to go back with our family, just to stay at Sueños.

Suenos has much to offer in that it is situated quite strategically in Tulum....far enough away from louder clubbing venues but sufficiently close to the restaurant scene. It is on the beach, and you get a small complimentary breakfast each morning. There a couple (mostly friendly) dogs on the property, in addition to a couple birds that frequent the dining tables. As for the humans, the staff is happy to cater to any requests and willing to help with general topics that come up during your stay. You can also use complimentary sunscreen at the check-in area. The only reason I'd knock it a star is that I think the staff could be more helpful when it comes to very basic questions about Tulum. For example, getting around the city via taxi requires some negotiation and predetermined knowledge about the way taxi drivers rip off tourists. There is also a colectivo available. However, when we inquired about this, the staff claimed ignorance and did not give us this information (kickbacks are common in Tulum...be ready to protect yourself against scams).

This resort was amazing! All of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The service for food and drinks was always quick and everything tasted amazing. I stayed here in November and would definitely stay here again on future trips to Tulum. The beach and lounge chairs/cabanas were perfect as well!!

Suenos Tulum is a tranquil, magical, oasis in Tulum beach. Once you enter the gate, you instantly relax. The staff, the property, the food, the service, the yoga, the beach cabanas, and the entire experience far exceeded expectations. I'm so happy we chose this amazing hotel for our vacation. You will not be disappointed. Ps Cecilio is spectacular!
