I went by a few weeks ago to check out the new location. Person behind the counter was berating a customer. I’ve seen this behavior from her several times in the past, and I’m just over it. Overhear he’d ordered and paid for a book several weeks ago and they can’t get it due to distribution issues. And that she wouldn’t give him his money back! That’s when I left empty handed. Won’t be back.
Maybe it’s time to save face and just accept defeat after two bailouts. I’ve been to a few small bookshops in nearby cities and they seem to be doing just fine. So clearly it’s not an industry issue, it’s an ownership issue.
