Best Sushi Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Seating is minimal (four two-tops plus an eating bar) at this tiny sushi shop, where the service is quick and friendly. Everything is designed to be self-serve, from ordering on a tablet to picking up your own beverages and utensils. Customers forego the amenities for high-quality sushi, which is popular as a takeout item. Family-size platters are available as well as nigiri, hand rolls, bowls, and an adorable sushi cake, which requires 24-hour notice." - Nikki Buchanan

Google
In the mood for sushi and decided to try Sushi Friend and couldn't have made a better choice. Small dine in area and self order kiosk for ordering. Staff also asked if I had any questions while ordering, super friendly! Ordered the seaweed salad, sashimi combo, Toromigo Roll, and Ube Cheesecake. Everything was amazing! Sashimi was fresh and roll had great flavors. Ube cheesecake was really good and look forward to coming back to try Ube crème brûlée. Highly recommend!

This little gem of a place is legit. We went for the first time over the weekend. We were not really sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Do yourself a favor and look at the menu online before you get there, once you enter place your order at a kiosk. If you’re not familiar with all the bowls, rolls, sashimi, and Nigiri, it can be kind of confusing. Once you place your order go to the dining room and wait for your name to be called or they may bring it out to you. There are utensils, napkins, chopsticks, a water dispenser for your water. They also have a selection of Japanese beer sake, green tea, and a cooler which after you pay for it, you just help yourself. Everything is self Service but the sushi and sashimi is so fresh and delicious. The young man who I presumed is the owner is very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They have an app you can order from for pick up orders. Highly recommend the Toromigo roll it was sooo good! There is parking in the back of the building as the parking in the front is limited. Can’t wait to go back! 😋

Google
My 1st time here it was a 45 min drive for me but it was definitely worth it best and freshest toro ive had in a long time everything was very good and i would highly recommend

Google
THE BEST sushi in phoenix! I always recommend Sushi Friend to any of my friends or family and anyone visiting phoenix. We love to order to-go from their app, probably twice a month, or more! Their efficient, friendly service and atmosphere in the restaurant can’t be beat. Of course the fish is the best and the options for sushi rolls and bowls are amazing. A MUST HAVE!

Google
This was hands down the BEST sushi we’ve ever had! I could make everything gluten free, the people were extremely helpful and friendly, we did get a seat inside and the sushi… omg just to die for! Can’t wait to go back

Google
Easily one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been too, I mean this is the best in all of America. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, the chefs are passionate about their job. I am a frequent visitor and always have an incredible meal here. I truly can not say any more positive things about this place 1000/10. If you appreciate elevated cuisine and fresh sushi. Then this is the place for you. Thank you sushi friend for brining such a treat to Arizona!!!

Google
This is best sushi I've had since Kaisen. No hot food, no weird gimmicks. It's walk up to the counter, place your order, and wait patiently. Parking is a little wonky. Don't block the driveways. Atmosphere is awesome. There's some noise baffles that are interesting to look at. I did note that the back wall and bathroom area bounce sound out into the dining. Regardless. This is worth a trip

Google
This place keeps popping up on my radar, but I hadn't had the chance to get in. Well, today was the day. We got 3 rolls and some sashimi. All was very good. I actually really appreciate the no frills approach of the restaurant. I like a spot that just does what you came there for. Produce spectacular food. I don't need to eat it off of art with someone asking me every couple of minutes if I need something. There is a place and time for that, but it's very refreshing to eat at a place that feels like you are stopping by your relative's house to drop something off and you get hooked up with something tasty but you don't have to sit around and chit chat all day. Real laid back and to the point.

Yelp
Best sushi ever I LOVE this place, so yum. But, there are always limitations...specifically TAKING AWAY THE TUNA SERRANO ROLL. Please bring it back than you!!!

Taylor W.

Yelp
i love this place! best sushi in phx. so fresh so yum! but please for the love of god bring back the tuna serrano roll. i need it.

Yelp
I do not say this lightly. This is hands down the best sushi in AZ and my personal favorite spot. The staff are all amazing and super helpful, a small hole in the wall neighborhood vibe. Incredibly fresh for being in the desert and they offer REAL wasabi! Which is a massive bonus for me. We got the specialty combo with the seared scallops and fire dragon roll. Both were perfection, incredible balance and blend of flavor, no need for additional sauce or anything extra. The scallops were seared perfectly and you could taste the quality of the ingredients. They really know their stuff here. Their unagi roll is hands down my favorite basic roll they offer. The only drawback is once you finish you just have to get more! Very casual seating, free water you can get yourself and they also have drink options available, no wait staff, but if they are not crazy they run the food out to you. Get there early because they have a ton of options that are not available all day due to demand. They do not load their rolls up on rice, everything is perfectly balanced and you can taste every ingredient in your rolls. Don't sleep on sushi friend if you are a sushi fan.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this place after hearing so many good things. We used their app to order before heading over. When we arrived, our order was ready! Such a seamless process and the food was packaged so nicely! The toro box (although a little pricey) was so good! The seared salmon was tasty. The sushislope didn't do it for me. The spicy yellowtail & tuna rolls were solid. Star of the show was the ube cheesecake. I should've ordered my own! Not the best sushi we've had but will we be back? Probably.

Yelp
2 years ago, they were one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Phoenix. I went back there last weekend and I was so disappointed. Miso soup was served in a paper cup. It was not even half full. No seaweed no tofu inside .... It taste like waterdown powder mixed miso soup. Picture 1 was from two years ago. Around $50. Picture 2 from last week. $90

Yelp
Lots of buzz over a hot new sushi spot on Central Avenue in Phoenix. Sushi Friend has a new approach to sushi. A small and very tight restaurant located in N. Central Phoenix. Ordering is limited to a kiosk and photos on a computer screen. One orders and waits for the sushi to go or plastic trays filled with sushi to enjoy in a limited seating area. 8 out of 10 orders here are take-out. The take-out business volume is impressive. We ordered three rolls. Fire Dragon Roll with unagi, crab mix, cucumber, spicey tuna and unagi sauce ( spicey, fresh, little bite and decent flavor). AZ roll with spicey crab mix. cucumber, takwan, and scallions (spicey, flavor packed and again very fresh). Sushi Slope Roll with spicey bigey tuna, jicama, salmon, avacado and furikake (again spicey, good crisp bite, nicely melded taste). Service is relatively quick, good flavor, unique combinations with very fresh rolls. The goal here is good food with large platters or combo plates and monster take-out service. It did not meet my expectations with regard to a sit-down relaxing service. It purposely is a grab and go establishment with good quality food. Sushi Friend is pushing the envelope on take out sushi with huge volume, yet good fresh sushi. Unfortunately, it is not in my wheel-house for a night out of dining. If you are hosting a large dinner party or get-together, order a tasty tray of sushi from Sushi Friend rather than a high dollar grocery store. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
The best takeout sushi I've gotten in the Valley! I ordered the 4 Specialty Roll Platter for 65$ and chose the Seared Salmon Roll, Scallop Dyno Roll, Fire Dragon Roll, Sushislope Roll. I'd rank the Scallop roll as best, Salmon 2nd, Fire 3rd, and Sushislope 4th. Every roll definitely gets you a complete bite of good quality protein and filling combination. You have to get the 30$ Sashimi bowl that comes with 11 pieces of sashimi and your choice of rice or salad bowl underneath. Great sushi without the fishy smell, great flavor combos, and friendly staff that keep the flow going during any hour of service.

Yelp
I usually try to avoid take out sushi, but have heard great things about Sushi Friend and gave it a shot. It certainly did not disappoint and was exceptional for take out. All the rolls had great flavor combinations and the fish was great texture and flavor. The layout of the restaurant was neat, you see the sushi chefs behind the order/pickup counter as soon as you walk in and there is seating in a room to the side. The staff was extremely friendly and offered a very well designed to-go bag for our order. Will definitely be coming back and very excited to try dining in!

Yelp
Sushi Friend on top. Their sushi quality is always great as is the service. My fave is the seared salmon roll and really any of the sashimi. I recently came back here for the first time since the pandemic and was surprised to see an entire dining room now with plenty of seats. Made an online order 20 min ahead and it was ready in 15!

Yelp
I'm a sushi snob and not because I know anything about fish but because I refuse to eat fish that smells like a lake? Usually it needs to be an $$$$ restaurant for me to eat fish.. but it's got good reviews and a lot of stars..I told my husband if it's not good we are stopping by Mickey d's. First of all - service is amazing. I was able to order my rolls my way. The food is delicious - I ate both of my rolls to my surprise. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
ASU visit Tradition- Go to Sushi Friend! We're back in town for ASU move-in, and of course, we had to revisit this amazing spot. Once again, the boss was on top of everything so friendly, helpful, professional, and clearly dedicated to keeping things running smoothly. His crew of six was hard at work, putting out roll after roll with care and precision. This has officially become our sushi place every time we visit from NYC/CT. Flashback 5 Months Ago: Admittedly, I almost didn't give this place a chance. We're from NYC, and I was hesitant to try raw fish in the desert I mean, how fresh could it be? From the outside, it looked more like a bodega than a sushi restaurant, and the yellow paint didn't exactly scream "hidden gem." But I decided to check it out anyway while my family waited in the car and I'm SO glad I did. Inside, it's clean and a bit industrial, with two sections: a dining room and a self-serve ordering area using iPads. The system is efficient, and what really stood out was the owner personally checking in with customers at the iPads, offering suggestions, helping with the ordering process, and making everyone feel at ease. His attentiveness makes a big difference and shows how much he cares about the customer experience. And the sushi? Absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The staff was warm and welcoming then, just as they are now. Whether you're local or just visiting ASU, this place is a gem, and we'll be back every time we're in town! By the way, the cloudy Sake is dessert in a glass! Try it. We had take-out so we skipped, not next time, and I'm making the owner have a few shots with us.

Yelp
Had the four specialty roll for $65 plus an extra roll and sashimi special. Price was reasonable for sushi, but not as much of a bargain as I was expecting. My favorites were the seared salmon roll and the Kiro roll. The rolls here have a lot of acidic components and definitely a big sonoran flavor theme. It was all served pretty quickly and the staff are friendly here. There is a lot of seating and it wasn't too busy when we went. It's convenient ordering at the tablet and getting it served to your table, especially if you want sushi and aren't looking to sit for too long. Restaurant was clean and well-kept.

Yelp
We went big and went home and honestly felt like it's just okay. Maybe it was the high expectations being rated as the best and the long wait, which is fine if the food had lived up to the hype. Definitely solid quality and good ratios of rice to fish but if it's going to be the best then I would need to see more attention going into the ingredients like they do in Japan where rice, soy sauce, and wasabi are the star and high quality fish is a given

Yelp
The best in the valley and that is NO SURPRISE! The owner Kevin has had quite the journey, serving his fan favorite sushi at a business cafe and now expanding to this hot spot! I'm so lucky to have met and tried his food before, my husband and I couldn't wait to visit at his location, and Kevin should be so proud of what he's accomplished ! Sushi friend, it's in the name, feel good place with feel great sushi! The flavors are incredible, the sushi is fresh and the service is amazing. We were checked on so many times and they were so grateful for us to come in! - We went with Toro box (duh) - pretty much melts in your mouth! - Fire Dragon & Aguachile Roll - both were perfection! However the aguachile roll, one of the best rolls we've ever had! What a fun spin on sushi with Mexican flavors! The jicama was also just a nice texture add and treat! - we were surprised by a friend to try the ube cheesecake and I will gladly say - best cheesecake and ube dish I've ever had! I literally want to order a whole one to have every week! It was amazing! Go to your fav new local spot - sushi friend!

Yelp
So far the best sushi spot I have eaten in Phoenix. I tried two rolls and both were great. The fish felt and tasted fresh. Easy to park and there are a couple tables inside for dining in.

Yelp
all hits, no misses. luckily came by around 5pm when it wasn't busy yet. the staff was really nice and helpful knowing it was our first time here. got 4 rolls (fire dragon, seared salmon, kiro and scallop dyno) and all of them were super tasty. I couldn't pick a favorite. We upgraded to the "real wasabi" and it was worth it. super fresh. R&B throwbacks were playing. it was a vibe. My cousin also ordered us a bottle of sake, japanese soda, and some sashimi which was good too. I left very full :)

Yelp
Sushi friend is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in Phoenix right now. Everything tastes so delicious. It's extremely fresh and they have some really fun flavors and combinations and they're constantly adding some new stuff. It's definitely a go to spot for me. I will say I've never dined in. I always take it to go and it's always promptly ready and on time and exactly what I ordered.

Yelp
Delicious and quick service! A lot bigger on the inside than expected, from the outside it looks small and quaint. Very cute vibes and love the yellow throughout. The staff are very kind and helpful and suggested some rolls based on our interests. You order on a tablet and then they bring your food to your table. Two of us split 2 rolls and it was the perfect amount. We did the combo special roll and it was about $35. We ordered the Seared Salmon Roll and Scallop Dyno Roll, both were so good I couldn't pick a favorite! Great little place for some sushi!
google avatar

Yelp
Good value. Limited menu with fresh fish & fresh wasabi available. The owner is engaged & very nice. Also, the ube cheesecake was waaay yummy. Very casual atmosphere.

Yelp
Truly authentic and delicious sushi. When you walk in you order online (in the restaurant) and wait for them to make the sushi fresh. Lots of seating in a clean and friendly space. The miso soup is ridiculously good! My sushi was absolutely amazing.
google avatar

Kenya W.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. I still do so I am hoping I maybe ordered the wrong thing. I got the seared salmon roll, Kiro roll and tuna Serrano. The portions were great but I would have liked more flavor. The only distinct flavor was lemon or something acidic and a bit with the seared salmon but otherwise not so much. I will happily return to try again because I hear nothing but great things and the service was great!

Marley T.

Yelp
Amazing sushi! Service and staff were very fast, friendly, and generous. Great experience I would highly recommend!

Yelp
We enjoyed two specialty sushi platters to take home . The family started ordering sushi from the owner during Covid that he made out of his home . Both platters were filled with unique well " crafted " unique combinations i would highly recommend . My son who loves sushi wife ordered him a sushi birthday cake , unique & enjoyable ( earlier date ) which must be ordered 24 hours in advance . ( another time) There were 4/5 chefs on Friday at 5 pm preparing the food in the open kitchen. Adjacent was a large dinning area . Highly recommended, high quality , satisfying ,clean & healthy . Learned after dinner Sushi Friend is a top sushi spot on Yelp in Phoenix . The north central avenue area seemed becoming more upscale. ( note no parking issues at all 5pm Friday afternoon 2-2025 )

Yelp
Diana Bowl $26 Tuna, Hawaiian poke sauce, spring and sweet onions, avocado, crispy onions, crab mix, and more. Got it no spicy. The portion of fish is super generous. It's also well seasoned and everything from yuzu onions to the crispy onions are all seasoned well and each bite is pretty texturally sound. My only qualm is there is a bit too much rice for the amount of toppings they give so we had a bit leftover. It just seemed like a waste and I think the bowl would benefit from less rice. Also, the cucumber salad is just pickled cucumbers (I think) and they were a nice palate cleanser between each bite. The 'pickle' is pretty mild. Kiro Roll $17 Australian yellowtail, cilantro, ponzu This roll was surprisingly very fresh. The notes of ponzu add a nice citrus kick that was unexpectedly delicious. The filling was a large hunk of yellowtail. I also appreciate the rice holding each roll together is a pretty fine and thin layer. Overall, 8.5/10. I think the bowls are definitely worth it. Plus, service is great too! Would definitely recommend! There's a parking lot in the back but it's a bit of a doozy. There's no lines so some cars parked vertical while others horizontal. As long as you're not in the way it seems like parking is a free for all. Please check out @leafynoms on instagram for more foodie reviews~

Yelp
10/10 will be back again! Loved our platter of sushi we got. Stopped by for lunch, easy to order, staff was super nice and found a seat no problem!

Yelp
If you came here from tik tok to cross reference, yes it is that good and you should 100% get some!!! The fish quality was great and the rolls were so flavorful. The couple platters we pre-ordered for pick up were amazing and up to par, love it!!!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
Hands down the best sushi in AZ. Love the story of how this place came to be. They always treat their customers with kindness and the food is just phenomenal.
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard about Sushi Friend making it onto a top sushi list on Yelp, so I was excited to finally try it! I ordered online for pickup on my way home from work, and the process was super smooth--my order was ready and packed up as soon as I arrived, making for a quick and easy experience. The sushi itself was incredibly fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the rice was--something that's often overlooked but makes a big difference. I got the Toro, and while my first impression made me question it, the flavor ended up being amazing. Overall, great quality sushi and a seamless pickup process. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Tucked in a cute neighborhood. It's a great place for a quick stop if you're looking for high quality sushi. You order at the kiosk and they bring it to your table. There is plenty of seating. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and helped us making recommendations. Especially for me being pregnant, but craving sushi the Cali bowl def satisfied my craving. 10/10

Yelp
Had a very long day and decided to treat myself to sushi friend. Ive heard so many amazing things about this place and wanted to check it out. The fish is really good quality! I placed the order for pick up and it was ready to go really quickly. It was easy to find parking in the front and the person who handed me my order was really nice. There's some seating options inside so I think ill dine in next time. Also want to try the Ube desserts next time as well. But would definitely come back for the good quality fish!
google avatar

Shaye W.

Yelp
Sushi Friend is one of the best sushi spots in AZ! We ordered 2 platters to-go: 4 Specialty Rolls platter and Basic Rolls platter (8 rolls of your choice). The quality of the sushi was great! I was really surprised by how fresh the fish was. My favorite rolls were the Sushislope roll, Rainbow roll, and Salmon Avocado roll. The parking is limited in the front, but there should also be a small lot behind the restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu!

Yelp
Any person I can call a Sushi Friend is a good friend indeed! Met with said sushi friend for lunch. I got here a little after opening and nearly all of the limited front parking spots were taken but there is parking in the back as well. The shop is pretty small and has a well organized tablet ordering system. It was easy to find what we wanted and to pay. While one half of the shop is devoted to making your meal and ordering area, the other half has a fair amount of seating for the space they have. I had the sashimi bowl. It didn't take too long to make and it looked absolutely incredible. It was served in a paper bowl and had a selection of what looked like snapper, salmon and tuna sashimi with a generous dollop of wasabi, pickled ginger, avocado, surumi, shredded daikon and tamago. You have your choice of rice, salad or halfsies for your bottom layer. I opted for the half rice half salad combo. The rice was warm, rice vinegar infused, and perfectly cooked. The sashimi was very fresh as were all the other ingredients. I saw that they offer real wasabi too! Very cool. I will have to try it with one of my meals one day. I was very intrigued by the sushi cake they offer here. Might have to get one for my next trip around the sun celebration ;)

Yelp
Freshest sushi and amazing service! The music always slaps. Restaurant a little small but it's worth it.
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
Very good sushi. Everything was fresh tasting. The cucumber salad amazing! Great service. Minimal decor. Focus on self service.
google avatar

Eva A.

Yelp
HOLY MOLEY, this place is amazing. Easily #1 casual sushi spot in Arizona. Might even beat out all the expensive fine dining places as well. The toro box was literally to die for, I haven't stopped thinking about it since I left. Will 100% sure be back!!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place forever and it did not disappoint. Decided to splurge and split a toro box with my friend along with a spicy yellowtail hand roll and scallop hand roll. The toro box came with 4 sashimi pieces, 4 nigiri, 6 maki, ginger, and fresh wasabi. The hand rolls were good, but the toro won it all - it was so fresh you couldn't believe you were in the desert. You can't miss the yellow building and there is a small dining room area, but we had decided to get it for take out (placing your order online is recommended). Definitely would come back!

Yelp
Sushi friend is not so friendly. Sushi 4/5 Service 1/5 Price 3/5 order a platter seems to be the better deal. Went a hour before close place was pretty busy. They do close early in my opinion 7 is early. You order at a iPad so look at the menu before because there is not a lot of room in the entrance so a line will form fast. Very small location you can see the guys making the food. No service was not friendly seemed very bro vibe they need some female energy in there for front of house yo great people answer questions. Any questions I had they ( which were can't I get some chop sticks because they were out at the self service counter) seemed bothered to answer. Everything is very non customer service friendly so what am I tipping for ? I got no human service. This place use to be take out only and they seem to still run that way. The sit down area is small but gets the job done. They need someone to help clean tables. The price doesn't match the vibe. Ok to the food. The sushi was fresh, great quality. DO NOT get the miso soup. It was served in a paper cup and just had broth nothing else in it not even green onions. Very bland. When they brought out food no smile not explanation of anything just gave us the food and left. Seaweed salad was dry not sure how you make a dry seaweed salad but they did. Cucumber salad was good. For the price a little customer service goes a long way. I would suggest getting it to go. Sushi was good not the best ever but good.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this sushi spot and it did not disappoint. Asked for recommendations and went with the two: Aguachile roll and Wagyu Nigiri plus we added the Sunnyslope roll. Both recommendations were fantastic!!!! Fish was fresh. Some people may say it's pricey but I do not mind paying for good seafood or sushi.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Lot of personality. We ordered the yuzu roll, the serrano tuna, the unagi roll, and seared salmon roll and let me say, this is worth the drive and worth the money. Top two sushi i have had in the valley and top five sushi i have had in the US. Ambiance is chill. Quick service with a quality menu
google avatar

Joy T.

Yelp
Don't sleep on a sushi spot in Sunnyslope! I will drive a distance for fantastic sushi & this is it. Spicy crab roll to go. Not decorated like your typical sushi house but modernly cute and casual, whether dining in or take out. Order at a kiosk, watch & wait till they call your order or bring to your table. It's not going out of your way if you know you will be happily satisfied. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Leslie P.

Yelp
Food 9/10 Service 12/10 Ambiance 8/10 Super chill spot. Super fresh fish, they could expand their menu a bit more. Super friendly service. A bit pricey for the place/ambiance, but the quality of the fish is worth it.

Yelp
It's all love from us! My wife and I just got back and are absolutely stuffed full. It was SO delicious we couldn't contain ourselves and nommed our salmon rolls in around 5 mins! Apologies if we looked odd. Our visit was spur-of-the-moment; nearly missed it on our drive-up Central from Northern. It's a little tucked-away - parking at the front and more round the back. Lovely clean entrance, chefs working hard, big bright self-serve screen with many delicious of nom to select (we had the salmon roll and the SpIcY salmon roll) and a Mexican cola, and a bunch of people in the eat-in section in the next room talking, laughing and enjoying their food! The service was SO quick, I sincerely thought we had someone else's order! Serioualy, every single ingredient was mouth-wateringly fresh, the wasabi was sabi-licious and the thinly sliced ginger could've been a drink for all I knew. Impressively top work. Glad we got to visit. Thank you for the hospitality and deliciousness.
google avatar

Francheska J.

Yelp
amazing sushi for a good price! the 4 special roll platter was $65 and we placed an order for pick-up 2 hours in advance. the fish quality is spectacular and the rolls were the perfect ratio of every ingredient! we especially loved the spicy yellowtail roll. i would definitely come back, for a special occasion. ended up being ~$80 with fees and tip, so not the cheapest, but you get what you are paying for. we were stuffed after the 4 rolls and i don't think i could have eaten more than that... was definitely struggling on the last couple of pieces. the location is uptown, which is kind of nice, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown phoenix, and so much parking in the back. i had no idea there was a seating area, but i will definitely be coming back to try it out! loved this place, definitely lives up to the expectations.

Yelp
I love Sushi Friend! Their rolls are so tasty, and their sashimi is so fresh; we love to use them for catering our parties. We ordered several platters for my cousin's baby shower, and we plan to use them again.

Yelp
Soooo a few of my friends had told me about this place and I took awhile to give it a try. The perfect reason for a visit came up a few days ago and my friend and I decided to go. Parking is fine in the back lots of room in the gravel parking lot. Upon entering we were greeted nicely from the staff in the kitchen area with instructions on how to use the iPad for ordering, etc. They have a great lineup of sushi and sides as well as drinks. We got a few beers ordered some sushi and sides of miso soup and seaweed salad. The room next to kitchen area has like eight tables and we grabbed one by the window. The space is nice and chill. The sushi was awesome! In fact it all was perfect.

Yelp
A completely different sushi experience! It's fun & fast paced. The inside is quite tiny but functional. When you first walk in you will be happily greeted by the sushi chefs. As you keep walking in, steer right straight up to the 2 ordering kiosks where you will decide what to order & drink then pay. We sat at the bar area which was quite entertaining watching all the magic being performed by the sushi chefs. There's a lot of pick up orders going on as well so there's a ton of traffic in this tiny establishment. With this is mind, you know your sushi will be fresh! After paying & seating yourself, you'll get your drinks from the fridge, utensils & napkins. When our order was up, we dug right in! The quality of the sushi was top notch!! Although it didn't look like there was a lot of food, we were full with our order. I loved how clean, efficient & happy this place is-the quality of the food makes it extra! 10/10

Yelp
Went here for lunch with my husband and in-laws and had an amazing time. I've had Sushi Friend on my list for some time and finally knocked it out. The food was incredible and absolutely delicious. Everything in here is sleek and modern. The staff was SO kind. Definitely a cute spot worth visiting and putting in our rotation. Can't wait to be back.

Yelp
Okay, I had no clue that I hadn't reviewed Sushi Friend yet! We stumbled upon this little place a few years back when they didn't have any tables yet, so we sat at the bar and were served by the single chef (and owner?) who seemed to be primarily running an amazing takeout business for the surrounding neighborhood. We returned a few months ago, and now Sushi Friend has a little more in-store presence with a few small tables. I have no doubt they could fill a full restaurant if they wanted to expand! The sushi is always fresh, service is friendly, and I love following their Instagram and salivating over the fancy sushi they make for events and parties. My 11 month old future Yelper is a huge sushi fan, so I expect we'll be ordering her a sushi cake from Sushi Friend once it's socially acceptable!
