Went to a kid's birthday party that All American Softy was supposed to serve at, and even though the host has confirmed with this vendor just before the event, they never showed up. The host called All American Softy to see what is going on, and got a variety of different stories, like there was too much traffic, or their tire blew out, etc. Last I heard the host was arguing with the vendor over getting a refund for the deposit, which sounds like a ludicrous thing to need to do. After looking at other recent reviews, it seems like others have similar stories. I wonder if this is even a legitimate business anymore, or if they stopped the service a long time ago and are still collecting money for orders.

We had an event with All American Softy booked out for over a week. I called the day of to confirm with the owner and he gives a ton of different reasons on why they’re not gonna be able to make it. He mentions cancer, can’t find our booking, gotta try to find one of his guys. Mind you, he has our deposit and our exact booking info. When talking to other soft serve companies, they said to stay away from All American Softy because they’re likely gonna flake out and turns out all of them were right. I tried to get our deposit back and the guy said he can’t refund our credit card but he’ll send us out a check. I advise folks do not book with this company cause they’re not gonna show up. Now I’ve got an entire community of kids upset because of this guy. Thanks All American Softy.

I came across this ice cream truck at Lake Balboa and it was the highlight of my day. The vanilla/chocolate swirl hit the absolute spot. Hope to see All American Softy back at the lake in the future!

Awesome! So easy to work with and the kids (and adults) loved the ice cream! The floats are great too! Definitely a big hit at the party. We used them during a drive by party for our 16 year old (during COVID). The truck was very clean and the server used gloves - everything went great.

We had the pleasure of using all American softy for my wife’s 50th birthday party. We are former New Yorkers and have always been big fans of NY style soft serve a la Mr. Softy. Have not found anything like it here in LA until all American softy. They were wonderful to work with, the price really cannot be beat, and my guests had the most fantastic time standing in a line like we were little kids waiting to get our delicious treats. The guys even made sure to have something non-dairy for one of my guests who is lactose intolerant. Can’t recommend it more highly! Give them a call today! It’ll turn a party into a happening. ETA used again for my sons 10th bday, same great service! LOVE them.

They ducked calls from the students and were very rude about the whole situation. When the Class Council Staff Advisor contacted them, they claimed to have filed bankruptcy to avoid providing the money we were owed from the fundraiser. Unethical and Bad Business Practices.... Scamming High School students is not a good look for a business!

This ice cream truck occasionally comes around our neighborhood in Simi Valley and everyone loves it! It’s definitely a nicer ice cream truck than what your standard neighborhood ice cream man has. They have a really great selection of items and the man who runs it is so nice!! Thank you, All American Softy for putting a smile on our faces during these hard times :-)

I hired All American Softy for a work event. They came out with multiple trucks to accomodate our large group. They were organized, professional and fun! Very pleased with their selection and customer service. Will use them again for future events!

They showed up on time, everyone which was over 100 people all loved the service and the ice cream quality. All American softy catered a large event and was perfect! If you enjoy ice cream and need to serve many people, this is the best option in the area, hands down!

We hired All American Softy for our client's retirement party, which had over 100 guests. All American Softy took great care of all our guests. Mike was easy to communicate with and arrived on time. Great ice cream course you can't go without a pretzel or a hotdog it's in the morning grab yourself a cuppa coffee trucks always on time always comes by the guy that serves it. You gotta catch him fast.

We hired All American Softy for 3 parties now. My kids love the ice cream , there are a ton of options and it's truly a dream come true for Lil ones ( adults too lol) . My daughter turned 4 this week and was so thrilled when an ice cream truck pulled into our driveway. There were pretzels, hot dogs , nachos , ice cream floats . It's really a special treat and the gentleman who worked the truck was so sweet and played with the kids. Really an exciting event for a party.

We recently had an All American Softy truck at our end of school celebration and it was a huge hit! Most of the kids went back for seconds and everyone had a fantastic time!!! We will absolutely have them back again!

This truck was at Balboa park today! So glad it was there because the soft serve ice cream was a perfect touch to our stroll in the park. We simply got chocolate and swirl- it was milky and delicious reminded us of when we were kids! Guy (didn't get a name) running the truck was cool and provided excellent customer service! He mentioned he does events so we don't know when he'll be back. Overall, yum!!!

we reserved a truck for our 4th of July family party. he arrived on time and everyone was surprised and excited to get soft serve cones with toppings and slushies. I recommend using them for your event.

My 29 year old son unexpectedly passed away and we spent a month planning the perfect celebration of life for him on June 19, 2021. We had all of his favorite things - sports memorabilia, an ice cream truck and the Habit Burger truck ready to go. On June 16, 2021 the ice cream vendor we hired notified us that they had to cancel because of mechanical issues. We were panicked and this added to our grief. We contacted Mike and he had us booked in less than 30 minutes to fill that spot! During this process, our collective heads were in a fog and we had some difficulty with processing the down payment but once again, Mike worked with us and ultimately refunded us an overpayment. Phil was the ice cream man who worked our event and he was amazing! Everyone loved him-he was kind, friendly and funny. He truly made the party. Service, food and communication were excellent. Thank you Mike and Phil for helping us through a tough day.

TERRIBLE!!!!! This has got to be the WORST business owner and human in general. Aside from the fact that we did not get what we had ordered, he tried charging me MORE than what my balance was. He also sent me NUMEROUS (maybe 5) THREATS saying he will come to my house and "get what he is owed". Here are some of his famous quotes to me: 1. "You're calling me a bully all I'm trying to do is get f***ing paid a fraction of what the f*** you owe me. I'm from New York. I do not give a f*** I will come there and steal your barbeque." He verbally told me over the phone he has done this before. 2. "You must be a Biden supporter" 3. "We will see how much you pay when I come there and take whatever I want. I will take five times more than you owe just for making me come there." 4. "And besides that you just gave me a bad review, so makes me wanna come to your house even more ..." 5. He lists my address. "Will be a pleasure when I come visit that place." 6. "Once an a**hole always an a**hole. Have a Great A$$ Day!!!!" Here is what I had ordered for a party: - 4 Ice Cream flavors - Sundaes - Root Beer Floats - Sundaes - All toppings, cones, bowls, etc. were supposed to be Here is what we got: - MELTED Ice Cream - LATE Service - 2 Flavors - Root Beer Floats No shaved ice, No sundaes, no toppings, no cones, no cups. They brought ice cream cup TOPS that they put the ice cream in to serve. Given all of this, he decides to continue to threaten me and want to get paid for his crap service and illegal business practices.

We had 2 trucks come out to service our office building campus. We had over 200 people come through to get a treat and the employees were fast, kind, and overall great! We would definitely book them again for future events. Not to mention the ice cream was delicious

Great ice cream! Amazing customer service! And day of event, we had Eddie to serve the ice creams! LOVE EDDIE!!! He was very pleasant and kind and friendly. This is the second time we have used this ice cream truck for our private parties and really enjoy this company! Hands down do it! For my 38th birthday, we did the limited package for 1 hour, 50 people, and it was a hit and reasonable cost overall.

The ice cream had absolutely no flavor to it. It had a weird consistency to it as well. The person serving the ice cream did not wear gloves or use a paper when holding the cones. He would use a rag to wipe something and then touch the cones. As he handed the items to the customers, you could see the dirt on his hands and under his fingernails. I don't even want to think how dirty the truck must be on the inside. After taking one bite and realizing the ice cream was terrible and realizing how dirty his hands were, we threw everything in the trash. I feel bad for the people who paid for him to be at their event. It was a waste of money.

Ice cream was good, and the staff was very friendly. I didn't have cash on me, and their card machine was down so she was only taking wireless payments. She gave me the wrong phone number to be able to send a wireless payment the first time, and only corrected it after I had sent payment. The payment went through then she still had me pay to the other number, so I lost $23 to them. I tried to get the money back that was sent to the wrong number (the first number I was given), but I got no response and they still accepted the payment. Just be careful with how you pay, make sure you have cash.

This is such good ice cream, It seems to me it's like the "only good pizza is in New York" Well the best ice cream is the ice cream truck soft serve. There is nothing else like it and All American Softy rocked our party. Ty.

I had a party for 50 people including a few children with taco truck and fruit cart. The hit of the party was the ice cream truck. Kids and adults loved all the choices and were delighted with the flavor and variety The crew running the truck were very accommodating and delightful to work with. Highly recommend them.

They were the hit of the movie night I hosted!!!! Treats were delicious and it's all everyone could talk about. Some of my guest returned to the truck 2 to 3 times, with some many yummy options it was hard just to have one! And thank you some much to Eddie for being so friendly and preparing all the treat for my guest!

All American Softy is a terrific ice cream truck that has begun serving our small community of Acton. Keith is super-friendly and serves great treats. Recently we ask him to come to a community event on very short notice and he showed up to serve our residents during our gathering. Our town is very excited to have Keith and his truck now serving our area on a regular basis. We highly recommend using All American Softy at your next event!

Eddie - driving around Sunland/Tujunga is awesome. We live close to a corner and we often miss the ice cream man because they're either turning onto the main road by the time we run out, or they've passed us right when entering our block. We messaged the number on the side of the truck and the gentleman who answered was able to get a hold of Eddie driving in our area to come back again. Their snacks and goodies are always fresh and yummy. Prices are good - and above all they've, more than once, gone above and beyond to come back to us when we run out to get their attention. I hired All American Softy for my kids 16th birthday party. I am very happy I did. Everything from the initial booking online through the party went very well. The day prior, Mike called to confirm the details. On the day of, Eddie texted a few hours before to confirm. He arrived 15 minutes early to ensure everything was ready for our guests. The ice cream and food products were really good. This is top quality soft serve. They had all of the items as promised and plenty of everything. Eddie was very personable and accommodated all requests. We had about 25 guests and everyone was very satisfied and spoke highly of the service and quality. I look forward to using them again. Hired All American Softy for my daughter's birthday party and it was a HIT!! The soft serve ice cream, root beer floats and sundaes were absolutely delicious! The rates were super reasonable for an hour rental. And all of our guests couldn't have enjoyed it more. Oscar helped us out serving for the day and he was so kind, communicative day of and just all around awesome. It was such a fun and delicious party idea, I think we'll absolutely be inviting the ice cream truck back to our home for future events.

Great experience having All American Softy visit our film set. They were professional, showed up on time, and served great ice cream. We're especially appreciative of their extremely fast turnaround. We started looking for a sweet treat for set around 10 AM, as temps soared into the 90°s , and All American Softy was on location by 4 PM. We called them up and they said they'd come out the same day. Super impressive... And our location was outside of Los Angeles! The crew, client and agency loved the ice cream selection. I personally loved the fact that they promptly sent an invoice (WITH a w9...and I didn't even ask for one! Can you believe it?! Accountants everywhere just swooned a little) for my accounting department just one business day later. All around great company and great service. Will definitely bring them out again.

We have hired All American Softy for our company picnic for the last two years and have received fabulous service! Always there early and ready to set up right on time. The ice cream is totally delicious and they provide generous portions. The guys working the truck are fun and interactive with the customers. Great addition to any event!!

The "ice cream guy" was a familiar face to many. The Softy truck was at a school event and came highly recommended. The man inside the truck was super friendly and very accommodating. I had a vanilla cone the first time and went back for seconds ordering a vanilla shake. It was that good. This was easily one of the most popular ice cream trucks at the event. Highly recommended if you ever come across it.

We hired All American Softy last year for my daughters 5th birthday and everyone had a blast! Their unlimited menu is worth the price... Warning: your kids will crash from all the sugar so be prepared! Lol it's a ton of fun to have an ice cream truck at your birthday!

Not only was everything super delicious, but our guests had the best time and really loved the ice cream. The guy who worked at our party (didn't catch his name) was great too. He showed up early and was very accommodating to our guests. Overall, it was a massive success! My daughter absolutely loved her ice cream party and will always remember this special birthday. One star because he answered his phone. Blew off a children's event that had been scheduled weeks ago. What a rude way to treat young children. If you are planning an event you might want to rethink it.

This is the second time I have used All American Softy. The first time was for a park get together of middle schoolers. It went so well and the kids loved it. This time we were having an outdoor promotion with the In N Out Truck. We needed an easy dessert for the kids and parents alike. It was the perfect accompaniment to In N Out. Watching the kids and parents enjoy an ice cream treat and celebrate the end of the middle school years. We did two hours as we anticipated 100 guests. It was just about spot on. The operator of the truck was very kind and worked swiftly to serve all our guests. Definitely will continue to use them as it was a hit with the kids and adults.

I don't usually write reviews, but I cannot recommend All American Softy enough. We have had them twice in less than a yr for both my daughters birthdays. This past time we had the full menu and everyone loved it. They couldnt get enough of all the options. They are professional and on time. And serve lots of things quickly. Very reasonably priced for all that they offer. They made my daughter's 10th birthday special considering the current regulations. I will definitely keep using them again. I had All American Softy cater my wedding, and as pleased as my guests were with their ice cream, All American Softy has horrendous customer service. I really should have done my research better before hiring and paying them! I hired a kiosk (think ice cream cart) for 2 hours, $495, 100 servings (anything over 100 servings is extra). According to my confirmation page, I thought I was getting the full menu, which includes things like banana splits, ice cream sundaes, shakes, malts, and other such goodies. As it turns out, the kiosk only has a limited menu, which is just sundaes (don't think sundaes, think scoops of ice cream in cups/cones) and root beer floats. This was a bit of a misunderstanding, though my confirmation does say full menu. If kiosks don't come with full menus, don't put it on the confirmation. There was some confusion about payment at the wedding. I was told by the owner Mike beforehand that I would be invoiced after I got back from my honeymoon. At the end of the 2 hours, one of the employees came up to me and asked for payment now, $600 in cash. This was both odd and fishy, and was cleared up with a phone call from Mike. On the day of my wedding there were only 3 flavors of ice cream: vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I was told that there would be 8 flavors of ice cream provided at the kiosk. When I asked Mike about this, he told me the following: "Sorry but that day was very warm out and the drive is longer then we cover but we did it anyway at no extra charge. The driver had to go out and buy all new ice cream for your party because it melted on the ride there. I did not make a profit on your party and I am sorry but your guest were more then happy." This struck me very oddly, because how could a California ice cream caterer not know how to transport ice cream on a hot day? Granted, Palm Desert is very hot. Also Mike never told me that my location was outside of any range, and having all of the ice cream melt is on the company, not on the customer. I asked for a refund to reflect not having the full option of 8 different flavors, but the most Mike could come up with was "I will give you a 15% discount the next time you book thank you". I believe in supporting local business, but I really just should of paid a little bit more and gone with Ben & Jerry's.

To start off these guys have done a good job at past events. But we had their services today 10/4/20. And the Chunky Guy named Phillip had NO concern for food Saftey. The guy was handling food barehanded and EVEN COUGHED on his hand and proceeded to serve the children at our party while adding toppings with bare hands not even a utensil to separate his dirty ass hands from food. Pretty gross! When he was confronted he seemed almost offended that he was being asked to do his job properly! And for 500.00 bucks this guy had the audacity to complain about making TIPS! The food and ice cream was great. But the service was far below average. this gentleman was sarcastic and rude to kids.
