Firstly, the food is genuinely delicious. Who knew broccoli could taste this good? I usually go for the mixed lunch box where you build your own. I really like that it isn’t self-service, so the general public can’t get their grubby hands on everything. You simply ask for extra bits from the healthy, well-thought-out salad and carb options.
The protein choices are excellent too. There’s fish, and an outstanding chicken schnitzel with fennel seeds mixed into the crispy breadcrumb coating.
It isn’t cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Quality ingredients, proper service, and let’s be realistic about the location. This is Marylebone, a premium area, so don’t moan about the price.
Finally, the mince pies. Hands down the best in London. St John comes close, but these are deeply packed with filling and the pastry is beautifully short. Hot or cold, they’re perfect with a hot drink. The photo doesn’t do them justice.
