Lou made the vist great. What a great place! From the moment you walk in, you will feel welcomed and appreciated for bringing your business. The food order came out fast and had lots of flavor. Lou was our server and her attentiveness towards us was top notch customer service. Definitely coming back and would highly recommend it.

Jen, our waitress, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything came out just right. First time and the food was good. The portions are good to make you full. The chicken fried steak was good, it has a tin layer of meat; it needs to be a bit thicker and lightly breaded. The hasbrown and the suny side up egs are okay. The french tost was yummy so did the biscuit and gravy. I will definitely come back and trydifferent food plates. The restaurant is a good size, but was a bit hot for me; the air conditioner dos not circulates good enough In some areas.

Warm, cozy family business. Big full portions of simple foods. Big breakfasts, (grits, eggs, turkey sausage, chicken fried steaks, big ole biscuits, etc). Delicious 😋 Walking distance to our hotel, the Lux.

We are in Arlington for couple getaway weekend and found this place on Google. Read the reviews, and 93% were really good. So we took a chance. When we pulled up, it was PACKED. When I tell you this place was beyond our expectations. The wait was short, we were seating within 5-7 minutes. Our waitress LOU was AWESOME. From the moment we were seated, she took our order, and BAM!, within minutes ( it seemed like it) our food came out hot n fresh. LOU was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. From beginning to end, the Pioneer Restaurant was a 10/10.

The Pioneer Breakfast combo was delicious!! We ordered crispy hashbrowns and they were the best! The over medium egg was cooked to perfection. Sausage, a good size. Coffee is great. The cooks in the back really know how to throw down.

It felt like having a classic American breakfast with fried chicken steak and an omelet — such a new experience for me! The very kind server made it a truly pleasant day. 😉

Loved this place. It's a good ole mom and pop place. I love eating at these places when we're out of town. The outside doesn't look like much but inside is pretty good. They have American dishes as well as some Mexican dishes. The migas was perfect with a side of beans and tortillas. Yum! The French toast was perfectly browned and the syrup was warm. If we're ever in Dallas again we will be back.

Great service. Great food. It's like an old family diner. Very good place It's in an industrial area about 2 miles from the entertainment district at AT&T stadium and Glove Life Field

Friendly service. A cozy atmosphere. Good food that came out fast and was delicious. We had eggs, waffles, pancakes, sausage and bacon, and left full. They brought melted butter for the waffles, which is a nice touch. Spreading whipped butter on a waffle is hard. Pouring liquid gold on a waffle is easy. If you're staying in the area and want a good breakfast spot, congratulations; you have found it.

Good breakfast spot. Warm and welcoming staff. Humble ambiance. Food was good, straight forward fare. I can't recall what they called my breakfast special, but it included everything I wanted. Reasonably priced.

We came today to bring some of our friends that were in town here. We were an 8+ table. Went to ask for PLASTIC spoons for 2 1 year olds and they told me it would be 25 cents each. When I said I was eating here and just needed them for the children, the manager just gave me the dumbest look and turned away. SUPER unprofessional and our ticket was over $80, you would expect that they could just give me two spoons.

Passing through Arlington and stopped in for breakfast. This appears to be a nice family run restaurant. We loved it! The service was excellent. The food was delicious. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

Wife and I stopped here for brunch and it was very busy inside, but we were seated right away. Our waitress came right over to offer assistance and to take our drink orders. Of brunch I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon and it was a really reasonable price. The meal arrived less then five minutes later. The French toasted tasted really good and the baked on was very crispy, but the eggs were very runny so I didn't eat them. It was definitely worth the visit.

While visiting Six Flags, we found this old school restaurant nearby. It's the kind of place where you see pies in the display case as you walk in and you can buy a box of Junior Mints when you pay your check. We had omelettes and eggs with biscuits and gravy on the side. The omelettes were three eggs and loaded with ingredients. They were slightly overdone but the flavor was great. Biscuits were scratch-made and dense with a mild sausage gravy. If you want a stick-to-your-ribs type of meal, this is the place to go. Friendly service as well. Recommended.

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The food and service is outstanding. It is a cozy place with good food. I would recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant. You definitely would not be disappointed. This is a restaurant that is the true meaning of Texas hospitality.

One of the best local diners, in the Arlington area. Me and my folks started going 2 or 3 times a month, and we've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. The employees are always friendly and provide excellent service. Highly recommend going there on weekends, for breakfast!

You could tell this was a good ole home fashioned place from all the cars in the parking lot on a Sunday morning. Tried because of all the great Yelp reviews. This place is fantastic. We were seated right away. Waitress was at our table immediately for our drink order. Then we ordered and our food was out very quickly. Eggs, over medium, were perfect, grits were good, French toast was very good, thick pieces. Husband liked the biscuits, but they're very filling!!! You need to try the over 21 lemon cookies at the check out register--OMG they are soooo good!!! They need to sell these to some of the big hotels in the area, they're that good. Would highly recommend and next time we're in GP, we'll be stopping by

So. We decided to visit again just based off all of the other options around. Creatures of habit. The service was great. She was very attentive 100% of the time. The food was not as fresh this go round. My husbands chicken sandwich was dry. Asked for mushrooms and got maybe 4 slices. The feeling of the restaurant was HOT. The AC was not working. I saw a new fee added to our check for those who don't use cash. Bummer. If you are going to charge a fee to use a debit card, bring free fee ATM inside for your patrons to use. Here's what we had today in the pics below. We will be back. They were getting ready to close in a few hours. The service was worth the hiccups. I will bring cash.

We came here for a late lunch around 1:30... was surprised this place is only open until 2:30pm. We were seated right away but menus took awhile to arrive... Our waitress came over asking for our drink order before we even got our menu. Our 3 kiddos each ordered a soft drink (which we assumed would be included with their kids meal... we were wrong). My husband and I each got a club sandwich with fries ($9.25) and our kids got pancakes and bacon ($5.25) and chicken tenders and fries ($5.25). The shocking part is that the 4 sodas ordered came to a whopping $10 ($2.50 EACH!) In addition, if you're paying with a card, you will be paying the $1.67 transaction fee as well. Our server was friendly as well as the cashier. All in all, we all cleared our plates.

While visiting the at&t stadium, looking for a breakfast spot pioneer did not disappoint. Some of the best pancakes I've had. They give you large poportions as well. Check this place out!!

We adore local diners and on our few and far days off together we always try to find one for breakfast. Pioneer has now knocked the rest off to take our number one spot! Big dining area, a menu full of different breakfast choices and really really good prices. Hubs got a chicken fried steak breakfast, added a side order of sausage, piled it altogether and said it was incredible. For the first time in as long as I can remember he couldn't finish his whole meal and had to take his biscuits home to enjoy! I had migas and they were so good. Waitstaff was great, checked on us multiple times and we never had to wait for a drink refill.

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. they charge extra if you use a credit card, so that's why i'm not giving it the full 4 stars, but they do have delicious food that's cheap. i don't know what it is about me, but i love diner food. I was heading to Arlington and made a stop here. I got lucky for parking, as it was very crowded. When i walked in, most of the tables were full. We ended up getting Country Fried Steak and an omelette and both entrees were filling and tasty. we also got grits and hashbrowns and toast and it was a nice addition to breakfast. (you get to pick between grits or hashbrowns and toast or biscuits) Out of the two, i really enjoyed the Country Fried Steak, which also comes with a bowl of gravy, so you can control how much you want on it. Even though it was busy, service was quick and prompt. There were times we needed to wait for our waitress to come around for water/coffee refill, but completely understandable on how busy it was. You pay up at the front, so better to leave cash tips on the table for the waitress/waiter.... or hand it to him/her. They also have pie, which i ordered a slice of lemon meringue to go, and it was damn delicious.

Amazing breakfast and service! First local place I ate at in Dallas/Arlington area. The interior of this place definitely give country kitchen vibes.

We met some friends visiting from California for breakfast. This was our first time to eat here. I ordered a #1. The eggs were perfect. The hash browns were crispy. The sausage was very tasty and the coffee was good and plentiful. The four states was because of the biscuits. I am a biscuit and gravy man. The biscuits I was served this were not traditional. They were more like rolls and tasted like it. The restrooms were clean but the floors were wet in both of them. The service was everything you could hope for and the older lady that took care of did just that. I can recommend this restaurant for breakfast or lunch. They close at 2:30!!

My son and I came here during a recent trip to Arlington based on all the positive reviews. I'm genuinely questioning all of those after our experience. We went for breakfast and ordered omelette which were practically inedible. The eggs were somehow very overcooked while the cheese inside wasn't fully melted. The ingredients all tasted like they were very poor quality also. The waitress was also very disinterested in serving us and mostly stood near a table of older ladies who appeared to be her friends talking. This was probably the worst restaurant I've ever been to. We left after choking down a couple bites of our food.

When you think "Breakfast Diner", this is the place that should always come to mind. The place was definitely full of happy customers/regulars when we arrived at 9am on a Friday. The waitress was fantastic and the place was the perfect patina of great, old school food. The biscuits and gravy were spot on. Biscuit scored a 10/10 being fluffy, tasty and light. The gravy got a 8/10. Brilliant for a Texas style gravy but not an old school version. I also went with the fried egg sandwich in a moment of weakness. That thing was exceptional. Really enjoyed it and bet it could hold its own for any breakfast sandwich.

My wife and I both had eggs and pancakes and bacon and coffee and everything was very good. The weight staff is A+. The place is very clean. And has lots of customers with lots of smile on their faces. This is a great place.

Wow I have been wanting to come to this place for awhile, kind of stayed away because of the location and how far it is from me but I was in the area and this place rocks! The interior is kind of out dated and I noticed the ceiling covers are all dirty but this place has really good customer service, our waitress was very nice and checked up on us multiple times, has a genuine attitude on deriving us. The food tasted good and our order came out to our specs! Wow I will be coming back for more in the future.

Visited Pioneer Restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. PR has been here for decades and with good reason. Food, service, price and setting are top notch. My friend had the two egg breakfast with bacon, hash browns, biscuits and gravy. I had the #5 Sampler with two eggs, hash browns, one sausage patty, two biscuits and gravy, and a generous slice of ham. We both had coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection and the biscuits appear to be made in house. The gravy was thick and delicious. While I enjoyed everything and would probably order each part on it's own, next time I'll get a smaller combo. The #5 is just a lot of food. The interior is clean, attractive, and well maintained. Service was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Would I come back? Definitely if I'm in the neighborhood.

I am a huge fan of diners and read the reviews prior to visiting. I was not disappointed! We were seated quickly and waited on within a few minutes. The service was great and the amount of food for the cost made it a tremendous value!

There is no other diner that can compare to the Pioneer. Daily lunch specials, breakfast anytime you want. The food is fresh. The best thing about this diner is they will cater to the needs of what you like and dislike. Changes or tweaks to the menu will not change how they present their food. Customer service is absolutely the best. The wait staff is on point. They hustle and make sure they take care of their customers. It's by far the best diner in the Fort Worth Arlington area.

The employees are super nice! Every time I go here I am treated nicely. ALWAYS! If you want coffee, they keep your cup full. The service is FANTASTIC!! I've only gone here for breakfast. It's the best! You get a lot of food for a little bit of money. It's worth every penny. Now in days everything is so expensive and you don't get much food, but not here. The food is cooked the way you want it and it's delicious. There is a lot of food on the menu to choose from. They haven't downsized like most restaurants have. The restaurant it self is feels like a small town diner. It's big inside, but feels like a small, hometown diner. Every time I'm in the city, I make sure I come here for breakfast several times. It's a must!

Food and ambiance were wonderful. A hybrid of cafe vibe/ with some modern twist! I really like the black ceilings. Service was top notch. I'm just not sure I'll ever come back because the prices were very high for what we got. It was great, but I don't think the prices justify what I got.

We were in town for the Cotton Bowl and needed a good breakfast. Saw this place close to our hotel and decided to try it. Really good breakfast. Eggs done perfectly and pancakes were delicious. So if you're in the area please go. You won't be disappointed.

Oh my word. Everything about this place is amazing. The service is top notch too as they all truly care about their patrons! Don't forget to order the biscuits and gravy which are to die for! Oh and their French toast is also quite delicious and not heavy at all!

Absolutely loved the pioneer restaurant. It felt like a family environment and the food was delicious. We were seated quickly and if we did need to change our order our waitress who was the best Tiffany was so quick to change the order and bring us whatever we need downside was I assume the manager She was white with purple hair and she was extremely rude to my five year-old son who was playing with the "restaurant toys" she took them out of his hand! (My son saw a little girl playing with some toys at the bar and asked if he could go join her to play, of course as a mom I said yes.) Thankfully our waitress Tiffany was so kind and sweet and improvised and brought him some paper and color pen to draw. Man I tell you, people just have no care for others...

This place is off the beaten path, more in an industrial area than the entertainment district. That didn't stop people from finding it. The parking lot was pretty full when we got there at roughly 9:30 on a Thursday morning. We thought we might have to wait but when we got inside we were seated right away. It's a lot bigger inside than we thought and there were still empty tables. We ordered breakfast but we could see some others ordering lunch. The menu was pretty extensive and there were daily specials. The prices were very reasonable. Our waitress was very good. She was efficient and got everything right. The food came out quickly, was hot and the portions were big. We were on a 22 day trip and this was the best breakfast we had all trip. The atmosphere is a basic diner. It is in an older building that could use some updating, but if you're simply looking for great food at a good price, it's worth a visit.

100% recommend this place the service was attentive and super friendly making recommendations on what to eat. TRY THE PANCAKES!! Super yummy. Will come again!!

Good food. My concern is that the front door of entry isn't Handicap accessible. I have a sister with cerebral palsy, and she uses a walker. The door entry isn't Handicap accessible (NOT WIDE ENOUGH) and does not have an automatic button option for those with physical impairments to enter without assistance. Two people cannot fit in the door entry at the same time. The host wasn't vilgiant enough to see we needed assistance. A guest ( a young boy who was 10 yrs old) helped us by holding the 2nd door to entry, while I held the first door to allow my sister to enter the restaurant. Smh. I asked to speak to the manager, and the front cashier informed me it's an old building and the door has not been fixed yet. Observing by the parking lot full of customers and the dining room full of people, it seems a Handicap accessible door should be a worthy investment. More importantly, it is not enough for the restaurant to have Handicap parking spots without having a Handicap accessible restaurant with accommodating doors for the public. A public complaint will ensue on this establishment for not having Handicap doorways.

It's like walking in to Grandmas Kitchen ! Pancakes are fluffy and buttery. Everything smells delicious and everyone is helping. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is relaxed and rustic

Our family went to Pioneer Restaurant for the first time - chosen based upon Yelp reviews. The service was PHENOMENAL!!!! The hostess and waitress (Alliyah) were thoughtful, prompt, resourceful, creative, polite, and had great personalities with huge and frequent smiles. We found the food to be average in quality - nothing really special. BUT THEIR BISCUITS....YUM!!!!!

Nice little quiet spot depending on the time that you. You can tell that a lot of their business comes from their regular customers, you know the kind that meets in small groups and drinks coffee for hours. And They have a lot of regular customers. It was my first time dining at this restaurant and I definitely plan on coming back again . I just so happened to be in the area and needed to kill time before an appointment and I'm glad I came across this place. The food was fresh and came out super fast. You get plenty of food for a decent amount.

Everything was amazing would definitely recommend to anyone and EVERYONE waiter was a really cool and nice lady grate service great experience favorite breakfast restaurant. We were on vacation and we went to ihop the day before and by the time we got our drinks at ihop we were done with our food at pioneer restaurant would absolutely recommend And btw they offer a discount if you pay with cash so keep that in mind
