I would have to say if you're an amarillo use discretion. There's an unspoken rule in texas, where you're not supposed to park in a neighborhood, even if you have car lag and you've been traveling for hours.Because somebody will get angry and call the cops on you.I had somebody pull a machete out on me and amarillo, because I was parked on a main street.Doing deliveries which is wrong, by the way, I should be able to complete my deliveries. My car engine was overheating, and I had to stop for a moment. And a person wielding a machete told me i'm not supposed to be parked there.I was not parked outside of his house.I was parked on the side streets near an alleyway, so I would have to say that if you're gonna stay at a park or you're going to visit a park, or you're going to go anywhere in amarillo, it would be best to probably have a glock on you.Or some kind of weapon that can knock people out, because amarillo is a very sketchy place to live and this is coming from a guy that lived in albuquerque for over twenty years of his life.I'm not sure about the amarillo police. They seemed really nice when I seen them. But as far as the people are concerned in the residential neighborhoods, I would definitely watch out.Especially near parks

It was on my path to a new found journey. I'm still here, as the locust do their chatting in the trees. It's a nice time to be here, it's not hot and quiet.

They had 2 nice pickleball courts, each fenced in, and looked new, with no cracks in the playing surface. The tennis courts had faint pickleball lines in chalk, so would be serviceable but not ideal if both pickleball courts are full.

Yelp
This large park is 12 square city blocks so it's quite large. The main features are a a dozen tennis or pickle ball courts, half each on the southwest and southeast corners of the park. There is a splash pad (closed for the season) and a large playground. For me, the main thing I appreciated was the walking path that goes partially through the park. There is street parking on the west side. I'm not sure where else you can park. [Review 16190 overall - 366 in Texas - 1696 of 2021.]

Yelp
This is a great little park! Not so little really ... playground, gazebo, pickleball/tennis, splash pad, sidewalks -- & adjacent to both Amarillo College & a lovely neighborhood -- great place for road-trippers to walk! Right off I-40, too! Enjoy, we sure did!
