Huntington Ramen & Sushi

This was a wonderful dining experience! Me and my friend already loved to order takeout from here, but it got even better when we dined in. There is a regular menu and a fully vegan menu, and the vegan options are delicious! Their vegan ramen broth is smooth and savory with many flavors to enjoy. We got the best ice cream I've ever had, which was cold, silky and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting and comfortable booths. One of the best parts was the service. Our waiter, Thang, was friendly and quick with great service. Over all, I would love to come back soon!

This is my go-to Sushi place! As a vegetarian, simply love their vegan sushi options. Definitely recommend it! Can't wait to go back soon!

Came here for lunch while we were searching for a sushi place and this had good reviews. The restaurant is in a little strip mall with plenty of parking. We were seated right away and we could see that it's quite small. Each table had a button to call the server which we thought was good if we needed anything. Although it took a bit for them to come after pressing it. We ordered the black ramen, rainbow roll, and sashimi bento. They also had a 50% off deal on 2nd item (ramen or roll). Food was pretty good. The family enjoyed it. A nice touch was the complimentary ice cream at the end. It's a good restaurant and we would probably come back if around this way again.

We joined our vegan friends for a meal here, and it was refreshing to see such a robust selection of plant-based options. The miso soup, while simple, was a comforting start. The veggie egg rolls were a tasty prelude to the star of the show: the Golden Philly roll. That roll was truly exceptional—a must-try! For anyone with a vegan diet, or simply anyone looking for delicious and diverse choices, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

This is my FAVORITE ramen spot in OC! The flavor of everything is impeccable and feels so authentic, not bland or simple at all! The broth is filled with flavor while not being too overwhelming either. Their eggs are also always perfect and jammy and their meat is so tender and also seasoned very well, not just plain sliced meat! The service is great, good timing with bringing food out and checking in while also allowing you to enjoy your food without feeling rushed. Complimentary ice cream is given at the end of your meal as well! Super sweet The ambiance is very comfortable and cozy inside. There isn't a whole lot of seating so chances are you might have to be on the waitlist for a little but it's very worth it!

I've only been here a couple of times and this last visit was a nice one. It was a last minute decision to go for dinner because the little one wanted noodles. Very cute place. Parking can be a bit difficult because it can get pretty busy with the other businesses in the strip mall. I ordered the eel bowl and was very pleasantly surprised with it. The eel was melt in your mouth good almost like butter! I don't always order eel unless it's nigiri so I was in heaven with this bowl. My only regret was ordering a salmon roll and eating it before my eel bowl came out because I was too full to eat more than a few bites. The booths inside are nice because it felt very private. The wait staff are attentive and if you need anything there is a button to push that will notify them to you. No complaints here! We will be back to try more.

10/10 Food; I got what was recommended and chef's menu, I don't regret anything the flavor was phenomenal and for some reason I've become addicted to whatever they put on these rolls. 10/10 Service; We were taken care of by this sweet lady who was so so accommodating and overall providing us with a fun night out. 10/10 Ambiance; the place was super cozy but we did get a small seating space, but everything still makes up for it. P.S. I always have to order fresh wasabi when I eat sashimi!

First off, Tahn(?) and Naomi made the experience a very memorable one. We let them know it was our first time to see what they would suggest and they decided to give us garlic ponzu nigiri as as a welcome dish! How awesome is that? It was just me and my wife, though the place felt a bit small as we were put in the front corner. The staff had to scoot a bit past us but I'd say it was an intimate setting, haha. Larger groups can have the booth, which has curtains that can roll down to serve as a privacy screen. We ordered the fried chicken, egg rolls, salmon sashimi and GB salmon roll. To keep it short, there were absolutely no weak links in our order. I would order all of them again! They also gave us complimentary ice cream as a follow up to our meal. Awesome food with awesome staff. Will come back again!

We visited here for ramen around 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening. We got seated quickly, and the server brought us waters. She encouraged us to order before the party of seven on the other side of the restaurant. This was really courteous of her, so I appreciated her thoughtfulness. We both got the tonkotsu black ramen ($14.99) and split a crunch roll ($11.99). After our meal, we got a complementary small scoop of vanilla ice cream. The crunch roll tasted delicious, and we had enough to share. I unfortunately didn't enjoy the tonkotsu black ramen. The black garlic oil overpowered the broth and made it taste a little too bitter. However, I enjoyed the noodles, sliced egg, and pork slices. The noodles had a nice texture. I noticed that the pork slices were a little sweet. Overall, the ramen still tasted too bitter for me. I would've wanted the black garlic oil as a more subtle add-on to the tonkotsu broth. While I appreciated the service, the ramen gave me mixed feelings about the restaurant. If I visit again, I'd want to try either the shoyu chicken ramen or their other rice dishes. The rolls are also a good appetizer. The restaurant is also cozy if you want to visit by yourself or with a group of people.

I'm vegan & the vegan menu is outstanding! The seating area is a bit small; which explains the long wait. I feel like the ~25 min wait was well worth it! HOT & FRESH. I was so full before I finished the ramen. I received a free spicy tuna hand roll (which I took home) due to the wait. So yummy! I loveeee the price point! They also gave me a small sample of the vegan green tea ice cream to make up for the long wait as well. The server was hyping up the taste & texture; she was right! The servers (the names escape me unfortunately) were very sweet. They have a repeat customer on their hands. I will be bringing my both my vegan & non-vegan friends in the near future!

Biased, vegetarian review: They have a vegetarian menu, and it's lengthy. And delicious. Ramen- delicious. Curry- equally good. Rolls- yup, you guessed it. Delicious. The wait was pretty long, and the place is small. 6ppl is probably the max, and on a Saturday at 6pm, the wait was about 40min. for a party of 4. Well worth it, though. Parking is easy. Service is great.

I really appreciate that they have a vegan menu, and the vegan menu is long! It isn't one or two vegan options, like you might find at other places (that's if you are lucky that they have at least one vegan option). This was my second time coming to Huntington Ramen. It wasn't that busy when we arrived. People did start to come in around dinner time, and the ambiance became busier. I come here because of the vegan menu. I love the vegan options available! Here's what I ordered and my review for the vegan items. Vegan Tan Tan 10/10 I ordered this last time and felt like there wasn't enough toppings. This time I did extra everything to make sure it was filling lol I added extra tofu, extra noodle, extra vegan ground meat, added mushrooms, added broccoli, added sprouts, added vegan chicken. With extras and additional toppings, this was amazing!!! It was so flavorful and satisfying. Next time, I will only order this. Vegan Tiger roll and Vegan Caterpillar roll 7/10 These were alright. I think I like the Tiger roll a little more? They tasted bland though. The sushi with some texture is probably better. I would order the Vegan crunch rolls again, maybe. Or just avoid these altogether and just still with the vegan ramen. Vegan Bao 10/10 These were really good! They came out steaming hot. They were huge also lol I liked the bao bun. It was very good. The vegan meat inside was good too. The vegan meat, had a sausage flavor almost? Kind of funny lol It wasn't bad though. Overall, very good ramen! The vegan Tan Tan is my new favorite. My husband loved the meat ramen options.

We ordered the Alex and the Greedy hand rolls (yes, not sure how they came up with these interesting names...Lol!) and chicken teriyaki bento. We did not have to wait long before the food came, freshly made and very delicious, and just the right temperature and portion size for the price. The service was friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Just out of curiosity, we asked about the vegan "chicken" and we were informed that it was soy bean based. They do have a vegan menu as well as a menu for furry, 4-legged buddies. To accommodate dogs, they have outside seating. We went in for lunch, and the interior felt cool and cozy, with subdued lighting that makes you relaxed. Loved the 70s music that was playing (can you hear the theme of Hawaii Five-O?) Note that the outside temp was 92+ degrees this late in October. My only not-so-positive impression is the restaurant front. It is opaque black tinted glass and, if it were not for the outdoor signage and the A-sign, one would miss this gem. They could use some nice Japanese motif branding to make it more inviting. Will come back here again to try some of their other menu items.

Tried the Tonkatsu Black. The ramen was good and broth was great, however the char siu was very tough and did not taste good. The sushi was just ok. I got the Ragin Cajun roll. It tasted very plain. Also, the slices of fish were very thin with slight rubbery texture. I also ordered two hand rolls. The Crispy chicken and Greedy hand roll. The crispy chicken was filled with fried tempura batter crumbs and a couple of small pieces of chicken. Would NOT order again. The Greedy roll was better. I also tried the pork bowl with rice as an addition to the ramen, and it was not good at all. Some of the pork pieces were tough and it had a thick gooey teriyaki sauce on it. Was a little disappointed as I thought this place got great reviews and was looking forward to having a delicious bowl of ramen soup on this unusually cold and rainy day!

Came here via friend recommendation, and was not disappointed! I've visited several times, and the service has been consistently friendly and attentive. The restaurant's interior has a classic Japanese-style design and clean. Every time I've gone, there's been no wait and we were seated immediately, though I've heard it can get busy during rush hours. I usually order the Poke Bowl or the Tonkotsu Black. The poke bowl is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, and the tonkotsu broth is rich and delicious. I also appreciate that they have a vegan menu, which is actually pretty extensive! While I'm not vegan, several of my friends are, and they've told me their dishes were delicious. This place is a great place to go if you're in the area and you're looking for a spot that offers consistently great food, warm service, and an inviting atmosphere.

Not only was the place empty on this Sunday afternoon, but their staff was entirely disconnected on service. I don't understand how a full kitchen and a seeming full service staff could provide such a terrible welcome. We'd already been waiting 5 minutes, and then after being greeted about 3 times by various staff members, were then advised we missed the yelp tablet for check oin, which then had a 1-14 minute seating window which is funny because the seating average was well below for today. Interestingly enough, they took my name off the waitlist real quick once I showed my displeasure with the way things were addressed. The place lacked any sort of awareness, and they were more worried about the AC than engaging with the only guests there waiting. I'm sure the food tastes great because the kitchen looked packed. Seems the reason there's no one to provide service in the front of house doesn't want to leave the back. Never coming back here. Would put zero if I could.

Huntington Ramen & Sushi has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Fullerton! I've been here more than five times now, and it never disappoints. This visit I ordered the Tonkatsu Black Ramen and the G.B. Salmon Roll. The ramen is phenomenal with rich, flavorful broth layered with black garlic oil, tender pork, soft-boiled egg, fresh green onion, corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms, sesame seed, and a touch of fried onion on top. Every spoonful has depth and balance. A comforting flavor yet bold taste at the same time. The G.B. Salmon Roll is another standout. Inside: crab, avocado, and cucumber for a refreshing base. Outside: fresh salmon draped with garlic butter and a sprinkle of crispy fried onion. It's indulgent but never overwhelming, with a great mix of textures and flavors that keep you going back for another bite. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient on every visit, and the vibe is warm and inviting whether you're grabbing a quick meal or settling in with friends. They also play a lot of 80's Japanese City Pop! After multiple visits, I can confidently say this is one of the best ramen and sushi spots around. If you're in Fullerton, Huntington Ramen & Sushi is a must!

Went on a Thursday night, wasn't busy. The interior is homey and nice, they warn you that it's a little cold inside some of the booths and it was, but it was tolerable. Service was quick and nice! Was craving curry, so that's what I ordered. The chicken itself was SO crispy, I loved it. Curry was good too. However the ratio was a little off. By the time I had finished the curry, I had a huge chunk of rice leftover -- not a big deal though! Would come back :)

After ordering takeout many times me and my friend decided to dine in. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very well put together, with intimate seating and soft lighting. The food was absolutely delicious, they have a full vegan menu which me and my friend love and order from. Their vegan ramen is rich and their noodles are delicious. We got a small scoop of their green tea vegan ice cream at the end and it was smooth and creamy. Our server, Thang, was very quick and friendly, and made sure to check in often. Overall I would recommend this place for the calm atmosphere and the delicious food.

I think I might have just eaten the best takoyaki in the world here! It is the second time I'm here, and it's just as good, if not better then. The takoyaki is perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly soft and flavorful on the inside. I can see the ingredients were fresh and the sauce was perfect, an appropriate level of weight, not too heavy and not too light. The staff here are great as well as they were very generous on the house with us with sushi and then ice cream after. It was a nice touch that made it more special. The food is great for a long-standing reputation, It has consistently delivered high-quality and hasn't disappointed me yet. It may be desired for a quicker bite or a long-leisure/takeout meal, you can leave here satisfied, every time. I'm definitely coming back over and over again. If you have yet to have been here yet, do yourself a favor and try a takoyaki! you must! Look forward to the next visit!

Omg, SO GOOD. I love coming here with my best friend as they have great options of meat and vegan foods! Almost anything with meat can be had vegan. I personally prefer their vegan sushi, specifically the spicy tiger. We love their appetizers and the lil ice creams they give out after your meal too! The drinks are yummy, the service is usually amazing. All in all, I love this place and I will 100% continue to be a returning customer

I love that they have a lot vegan selection. I've had the vegan ecstasy multiple times and it's delicious. However today I found a caterpillar in my ramen. It made me wonder how well the veggies are being washed. Giving 3 stars because of all the other times I've had a good experience but would honestly like a refund because finding a caterpillar in food is gross.

Be patient it is completely worth the wait! They are tiny, but mighty. The staff is so kind and always checking on you. Never had to press the button once. And the food...OMG. The menus are pages long. Shout out for all their vegan options. If you are vegan you will feel seen and loved. My first option was sold out (I will be back to try it) and went with a different ramen option which was DELICIOUS. And their green tea IPA was surprisingly good. (side note: I am not a green tea or matcha fan) At the end we were surprised with a complementary scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. I heard and saw people throughly enjoying their fried chicken. Seriously almost asked my neighbor for a bite lol. So if you're hungry and want a little bit of everything (except ramen) go for the bento box. I'm still thinking about it.

Place is very causal and perfect for a date or get together with friends and family. I only saw smaller tables so very similar to authentic japanese style restaurants. Love that they have a service button, my favorite part of Japanese service! Food- out of this world!!! Live that they have a full vegan menu but also regular menu for folks who want the real thing. Very accommodating to all food preferences of eaters! My husband loved the eel bowl! I have the tempura sushi and it was the best vegan roll I've ever had! Will be back! This place is too good!

Small strip mall with plenty of parking. Fast friendly service from beginning to end. Small, clean restaurant. The food is amazing. My hubby and I went for the first time on a Thursday night and went back on Saturday with our kids. It was that good. We tried the spider roll, the crunch Roll, the poke bowl, the tofu salad, the teriyaki chicken, the black tongkotsu ramen, and the crunchy dumplings. Everything was fresh and delicious. And the prices were incredible. They also have a large vegan menu for those that need it. Customers for life here.

Decent alternative to Kensho. I like that they have a huge variety of options for vegan sushi/ramen, but it's hard to choose what to get because they seem pretty similar. The volcano tempura had good texture/flavor, but the vegan crunch was underwhelming. There is a call button on each table, but the servers are not responsive to them and were probably in the process of being trained. They do have a lunch special (buy one roll get one 50% off) and offer complimentary ice cream.

Super professional and sweet servers, the place was really cozy, food was really yummy, they were really attentive on guests and also gave us free salmon just because they noticed that we liked salmon a lot, 100/10 experience I highly recommend!

Our server Emma was so sweet, attentive, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the food/menu I could not recommend this place enough. She made our experience lovely and memorable. We got the vegan crunch and the spicy crunch rolls. Their vegan menu is large with plenty of options, tons of yummy appetizers like spicy edamame and crispy rice. First time coming here- it was amazing! Food was tasteful and didn't take long to come out. Our server was awesome! There was a mix up with one of the rolls and she compd it for our table and gave us the option to choose a new roll as a replacement. We also got free gyoza and ice cream at the end! Pretty cheap place too but great quality. It is a small place and tables are a little close together but still a great place to eat.

My friend and I came here for dinner and ordered some crunchy rolls and garlic edamame. Very yummy and satisfying. We were also raving about how the complimentary ice cream was soo good, and our server was kind enough to give us two free pints of their matcha and cookies & cream! This was our first visit to Huntington Ramen & Sushi despite everyone talking so highly of this place. And we discovered that the suggestions were all for good reason. Everything was delicious and the service from Elyse was exceptional. We came in on a Saturday afternoon, it seemed fairly slow inside, but the pick up orders seemed to be fairly consistent. It wasn't loud even though there were some nice classic songs playing, and I appreciate the level it was kept at. Loud enough to hear it, but it wasn't overwhelming. We ordered the Melting Shrimp Ramen Bowl, the Salmon Lovers Roll, and 2 (BOGO) Crunch Rolls on Soy Paper. Everything was delicious and filling. The only downside was that the drinks (sodas) are canned and not fountain. Overall, it was a great place with delicious food.

We went on a Friday & there was about a 20-30 min wait. We were able to check out the menu while we waited outside. It was our 1st time there, so we didn't know what to expect, but we gave it a try because reviews/ ratings were good & menu items also looked/ sounded good. Upon entering the dining area, I felt like this is what it might feel like in Japan - it was close quarters! The good thing is they utilize space wisely: they have these short, decorative privacy "curtains" for the booths & the utensils (chopsticks, soy sauce, straws) are "floating" off the table & out of the way. There's a small button to press when you're ready to order & when you need service. How efficient! Staff were super friendly & quick to assist. On to the food! The cutlet bento box was bigger than expected! The chicken katsu was slightly pink in the thicker center areas, so we set those aside to reheat & eat at home. The katsu sauce & gyoza/ egg roll sauce were just ok; my boy gave them a try, but wasn't a fan. The box also came with miso soup, which was full of tofu & seaweed. We also ordered the soft shell & the Greedy hand rolls - both were delicious! We ordered the Queen's Salmon & GB Yellowtail; I didn't get pics of these because we devoured them too quickly! They may not be getting a 5 from me this time, but we'll give them another try. Oh, if you pay cash, they take off 5%!

I've been here twice now and both times were great! The food is really good and the service is always on point. I've had the pork spicy miso soup and the melting shrimp soup, both are super flavorful. Their sushi rolls and baked mussels are also really tasty. Everything comes out fast and the staff is super friendly. Definitely one of my go-to spots now!

We went to Huntington Ramen & Sushi recently and were impressed by the variety of the menu and the service from the wait staff. Since we are vegetarians, we were excited to see so many sushi and ramen options for us to choose from. We ordered the vegan spicy miso, and 3 different vegan sushi rolls. We found the wait staff to be attentive and the service to be excellent (they gave us a sample vegan roll to try and two small servings of green tea ice cream at the end of our meal). We will be returning again soon!

I was recommended this place by a vegetarian friend and WOW. If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is a MUST TRY. I had a vegan friend visiting from Baltimore, and when we sat down we were offered either the regular or the vegan menu (we went with vegan ). We tried the inari appetizer and three rolls - fried avocado, spicy tuna, and unagi. I am a meat eater and sushi lover, but I'm always impressed when a restaurant can make vegan sushi taste delicious and not be super expensive. My vegan friend who never gets to enjoy sushi absolutely loved it! The inside of the rolls and inari seemed to have a savory soy based imitation crab. And we were scratching our heads as to what the spicy tuna was made of (the waiter said it was tomato)! We were served vegan green tea to finish, which was so nice! I'm bringing every single vegetarian friend I know here in the future!

Interior is small and has a lot of private booths. Pretty easy to grab a seat on Saturday morning at opening. Got the tonkotsu black and baked salmon roll. 4/5. Ramen was solid. Nothing too amazing, but everything in it tasted delicious. However, the highlight of this dish is their chashu. It's soo tasty/sweet/ and soft. 3/5 salmon roll was tasty. I liked that they included fried garlic on top. I ordered this expecting baked mayo on it like how most other places do baked salmon-- they also have baked mussels, so I assumed it would be similar. There sadly wasn't so that aspect was slightly disappointing. Regardless. Great restaurant, would love to come back

Listen up, people. This is my family's SPOT. 9 times out of 10, you'll find us in the back, munching on sushi, or you'll hear my dad practically yelling across the room. We LOVE Huntington Ramen and to be honest, this review should've been made like 5 years ago. Chef Kohei is super sweet, and the entire staff always makes us feel right at home. We've become regulars because of how welcoming everyone is and, of course, how fresh the fish is. The owner, who's from Japan, brings an authentic, high-quality menu to the restaurant that keeps us coming back. Now, let's talk about our favorites: For starters, we can't go without the garlic edamame and takoyaki. DIVINE. My dad is all about the soft shell crab, and the agedashi tofu is a must-try. When we're feeling fancy, we always get the garlic bluefin tataki. As for the bigger dishes, if you're into rolls, our go-tos are the Mr. Craving, Spider Roll, Divine Lava, and Tiger Roll. We always get a bunch of nigiri, too. The fish-to-rice ratio is spot on, and the quality is top-notch. Our usual order includes yellowtail, salmon, unagi, uni, bluefin, chu toro, and sometimes yellowtail belly and salmon belly. My mom's a big fan of the Real Tan Tan ramen, but every now and then the chef makes mazemen, which is a creamy, flavorful dream with delicious pork. We always finish up with a scoop of their ice cream, which is honestly the best way to cap the meal. 100000/10 recommend. I'd love to gatekeep this place, but let's be real--most people don't know what good sushi is, so let me put you on!!!

I've been here a few times and they have exceeded my expectations each time. I ordered the Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and it was amazing. It had just the right amount of spice and the saffron on top added that perfect amount of flavor to the dish. I personally hate corn in my ramen so I did take that out but there wasn't too much so it was fine. The service was amazing and our food came out quickly. I also like how private each table seems as well. Love this place!

Must have Vegetarian Sushi! They have options for vegan and vegetarian sushi and matcha dessert is really nice

The sushi here is always good! They have garlic butter rolls, which we never had before. But come on, garlic butter is good on anything. We also enjoyed the bento box. Place is very small so not large party friendly. We ordered Togo and it was fast and accurate.

It's a nice little spot. Love the little vibe of place once you enter. The ramen itself wasn't that bad tonkotsu red is the best. Sushi was also pretty bomb. The few times I was there the waitresses were always kind. One even got me and my cousin to laugh. Love the fact that you get complimentary ice cream once you're finished. Def one of my fav spots. ALSO VEGAN FRIENDLY.

Special 2pcs Fatty Tuna 10/10! the vegan crispy dumpling and vegan chicken curry is always a staple when dining in for me, but will be looking forward to trying more of their sashimi plates

This was one of my favorite spots for vegan Ramen until it shut down a couple years ago, so I was really happy to learn that they had reopened. I ordered the real tan tan (non-vegan) Ramen, which was just as good as I had remembered. However, I ordered a salmon two piece sushi, and I was slightly underwhelmed with it. I came here with the small group of friends, and we did not wait very long to be seated around dinner time. They also have a small lot, but be aware that this gets pretty crowded around meal times and do not park near the 7-Eleven or else you will get towed.
