I visited recently and ordered the fish and chips. Unfortunately, the quality of the main course was disappointing; I would rate the fish at 5/10 and the chips at a low 3/10. However, my friends were much happier with their meals, specifically noting the generous portion size of the chicken salad and praising the steak burger. The beer selection was quite limited. On a highly positive note, our server was truly excellent—her service and demeanor were outstanding. The price was fair, and the restaurant was clean. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were good, the disappointing quality of my dish means I probably wouldn't return.

Meeting friends in the quad cities we landed on Front Street as the meeting spot. Parking was tough. The place was super busy when we arrived but we were able to get a couple spots at the bar. Service was slow but that was okay. Over the course of an hour or two we had their beers, a soup and some appetizers, all good. Definitely worth four stars.

Great service and extensive bar menu. This is the 1st bar/brewery I've been to that has hush puppies on the menu! For brews, I suggest the Cherry Blonde, Hefeweizen or the IPA. I had the breaded pork tenderloin. II highly suggest it if you love tenderloins.

Lots of beer on tap, disappointed there was only one true IPA. Bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely a spot for regulars. Fish tacos were mostly good - I liked the toppings but the fish itself was chewy and bland. Next time I wanna try the in-and-out copycat burger.

I got the Classic BLT, it was very good. Though the bacon was a little hard to bite into with the sandwich 😬. The atmosphere wasn't pretty calm and there we're a lot of people. The bathrooms are also very nice

Atmosphere was very laid back pub feeling. Several tvs above bar. Nice sit at bar. Lots of people but not real loud due to high ceiling. Our server was quick to greet us after sitting down. Great knowledge of locals beer on tap and gave great recommendations. We ordered grilled tenderloin and a burger. Our sides were coleslaw. The coleslaw was rich and creamy just like our server told us. The burger was cooked perfect to my request with crispy bacon and a light sauce. The grilled Tenderloin was cooked perfect. Front Street Pub & Eatery was a quality stop with carefully prepared food and great service.

The wait times are sometimes long - you might not be in and out in under an hour for a lunch break, and especially if you order to-go.... I highly recommend looking at menu online before you visit, and ordering as soon as your waitress brings the menu/waters if eating in-person.... if ordering to-go, whatever time they tell you, add on 15 minutes. BUT! The food is amazing and Consistently hot and fresh and delicious. Worth the wait! I absolutely recommend. I've had the buttermilk fried chicken sammy with side salad (look at the fresh greens and real cheese, omg!), the blackened chicken salad as a wrap, French fries, and the cheese curds. It's my fave chicken wrap around, sorry Barrel h.😜! The ranch and honey mustard are made in-house. Also, I think they changed their menu, as I tried to oder the Hawaiian burger and they don't have it anymore... so here are photos of the updated menu!

Front Street Pub & Eatery: Refuge from Davenport's Sunday Night Apocalypse. Picture this, held hostage at my father-in-law’s barbeque that started three hours late, we barely escaped in search of actual dinner. But this is Davenport, IA, where Sunday night dining apparently stops at 8pm like some puritanical curfew. I'm diabetic, increasingly cranky, and rapidly losing faith in humanity as each restaurant Google promises me turns out closed or about to close. Then, shining through the dark night and screaming Honda Civics prowling the streets, Front Street Pub & Eatery emerges as our beacon of hope, just a short walk from the hotel. We braved empty streets and eerie pedestrian walkways to find ourselves as the sole patrons stepping into the warm sanctuary of Front Street. I wondered briefly if everyone else in Davenport knew something we didn't, like maybe Walton Goggins issued a city-wide warning, but we pressed on. The servers were attentive, friendly, and assured us they weren't closing yet, despite the post-apocalyptic quiet of a Sunday evening. We settled in with cold beers. I chose the Goldilocks Golden Ale, smooth, drinkable, and diabetic-friendly enough that I risked (successfully) a second. It easily surpassed my usual "no-options-left Miller Lite" beer choices. My wife chose the Cherry Bomb Blonde with an ambitious plate of nachos, which looked spectacular and tasted even better. I went with the blackened chicken salad, it was packed generously with fresh veggies, perfect for my blood sugar and tasted excellent. The portion sizes were good, and everything tasted great and the chicken was hot, so I had no complaints. Atmosphere-wise, it’s tough to judge a place when you’re literally its only clientele, but it seemed cozy, clean, and welcoming. It reminded me a bit of my favorite dive bar, Flapjacks in Berwyn, minus the grunge, which pleased my wife immensely but left me sadly nostalgic. Interestingly, Front Street Pub offers a Pork Nacho Challenge consisting of a five-pound gauntlet thrown down to brave eaters aiming for immortalization upon the Champions Wall plus a T-shirt. Part of me expected Walton Goggins to stroll in, sit down across from us, tip his hat, and whisper with a smirk, "Think you're ready, friend? Few are." Honestly, this pub saved our night from becoming a diabetic nightmare and existential crisis combo. I'd gladly return, preferably with time to sample more beers, while my wife braves the nacho challenge provided Walton gives the nod. Highly recommended, especially if you find yourself wandering Davenport at night, questioning your life choices and praying something edible remains open after the clock strikes eight.

Food was quick and delicious. Lunch was easy. Beers were great. Service from Juanita was all you could ask for.

Normally this is my go-to downtown spot. My favorite meal is always the blackened steak salad. However they changed the steak. Instead of a plump, delicious cut of meat, it was topped with thinly sliced meat that resembles gyro meat. For the price of the salad it wasn't the cut of meat I was expecting. It was honestly gross to look at and it completely ruined the salad for me. Also I sub out the dressing for ranch, which is normally amazing - I could literally just eat that as a side. Tonight it was made incorrectly and resembled tartar sauce. It's was also not the best tasting. I was super disappointed and I hope the changes to the menu shift back to the quality I loved and expected from here. On an extremely positive note, my server was the sweetest and amazing at her job. I would come back just to see her.

One of the only places that was open during lunch on Sundays in Davenport. Seating was quick, but it took a while for the food to arrive. Overall, the service was good. Burgers were very tasty. Great white staff.

Tough to get to right now with all of the construction. They have a large shaded patio in the back and plenty of inside seating. River views in the front of the restaurant, once the construction barricades are gone. Nevaeh said she was new to the brewery, but was so professional and friendly. She did a great job taking care of us! I had the Rueben and really enjoyed it. Lots of flavor and well balanced. The tots were too salty for me, but that could have just been the cook that night. Hubby had the Gouda burger and thought it was well done. The glazed carrots he ordered for his side were a little too heavy with brown sugar. More sugar than carrot. The Cherry Bomb Blonde beer was a win though.

We were seated quickly and the food was very quick. We ordered the chicken wings for an appetizer and they were great. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes and it was disappointing. The chicken had no seasoning and the garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic and no flavor.

Went at an odd hour (3-4) and was seated quick. Waitress was super nice and attentive. We got some drinks that were yummy (beer, a gin cocktail, and the blue balls). We got poutine fries as an appetizer - I am not a big poutine fan but these were delicious and the fries were salty and crunchy. We all got burgers which were nice. The Mexican smash burger was the best, the other two lacked a little flavor in the patties. Portions were good. My burger came with a side of tater tots which were actually so good and crunchy.

Front Street Pub & Eatery is a great pub that offers a variety of options from beer, food, and a full bar. They have plenty of seating from bar side, to booths, and tables. They additionally have plenty of parking in the lot directly across from the main entrance. Most recently we visited for the BOGO lunch offer included in the photos and were overall pleased. I had the fish and chips and it was great. The fish had a grata crunch, and fries were good too. It was served with lemon wedges and tartar sauce and I order some buffalo sauce to go with it. The buffalo sauce was a nice add but it's an up charge. We also had tater tots as an appetizer and they are by far one of my top tater tots. My partner ordered the Cajun Alfredo, but subsistent blackened salmon for the chicken. That's also an up charge. He enjoyed the meal but said it wasn't really a Cajun Alfredo, more like a Cajun brown butter sauce but nonetheless very good. He did not the andouille sausage wasn't very good at all it took that out of his meal. For drinks, we had the Mahalo which is a pineapple radler beer and one of my tops beers from them. We will definitely be back and take advantage of that lunch time special and recommend them. PS they have daily specials and offer a military discount.

Had a wonderful lunch today. Black & bleu cheese burger and baked Mac n chz, sooooooo yummy and Tori was a fantastic bartender, very attentive and nice, service was quick and the company was great! Good job y'all def will be back! :D

My boyfriend and I were in town for a couple of weeks dog-sitting for some friends in Bettendorf. I had a craving for burgers and, of course, I checked Yelp. I was hopeful because this is highly rated. When we arrived, the front door was locked. Another couple, apparently also from out of town, who arrived at the same time as us thought this place was open. We ended up cutting through the patio and then entering through the side door. My boyfriend had to tell one of the workers, "Hey, your front door is locked... Are you open?" We were seated immediately, but it took a while before they figured out who was going to serve us. There was only one big table of people and the place was empty. So I guess they Rock, Paper, Scissors and someone finally took our order. The order was simple, or so I thought... I ordered a classic cheeseburger and my boyfriend had one of their special burgers. MEDIUM, please! We both like the meat to be pink when you slice it. When we got our food, mine was so rock hard and well done. My boyfriend's was well done, but not overcooked like mine. He told our server, who was nice enough to ask if I wanted it replaced. I was too hungry and didn't want it to go to waste. Yes, I'm like that. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Maybe it was an off day? We had the poutine which was good. It could probably do with a little less salt and then it would be perfect. Room for improvement is my verdict. Your staff needs to figure out their assignments before any customers show up. Who is running the show? Please retrain whoever it is who doesn't know how to cook a simple burger. When I asked my boyfriend for his thoughts, he replied, "I wouldn't jump over someone to get into that place." Yikes.

My wife got her usual blackened chicken salad and a Weiz guy beer (Hefeweizen). I got something different this time, a breaded tenderloin and loaded tots with Cherry Bomb Blonde beer. Gave it five stars, good beer and good. But honestly I think I preferred the food last time I came, which was pork nachos and the tomato burger.

We only get here when we visit Davenport for Palmer's Homecoming. Food and beer is great, service is always good and the atmosphere is on point.

I could have sworn I wrote a review for this brewery but I guess not and it was deemed to be a part of my lost series in which I thought a destroyed phone had the brewery and beer experience unrecoverable but thanks to finding physical notes of the experience the details have been salvaged. Steve and I met a friend of ours here which proves to be a good location for catching up of this sort. At least the day we went as it was relatively quiet and not too loud. The food here was alright. Typical pub fare but no complaints either in that regard. For the beer I had a fruit beer called the Cherry Ale. It was a light bodied beer that was lightly hopped. Cherries are then brought into the mix. I ordered as it seemed unique but proved to be a touch too sweet for me. I liked the cherry and tart aspect ok but the beer unfortunately didn't win me over and I liked the food a bit more. Nice atmosphere and location. This brewery also has another location in town which is apparently more of a taproom.

The food was just awful. The waiter got mad over me not tipping them! The ambiance was very loud which made my father really worked up and mad. They really need to get better waiters!

Front Street is located in an adorable older building downtown, overlooking the river. Despite parking being very limited, my friend and I were seated quickly on a busy Saturday night and got to enjoy the patio atmosphere (would highly recommend the patio, whether permitting!). While being busy with a very large party, service was great and very attentive. We started with the poutine appetizer. It was good, but I'm not sure it really blew me away. I would try a different app next time. Next came the side salad - which the kitchen brought out by mistake, but I happily enjoyed. It was very fresh and had a great blend of lettuce. Finally, for my entree, I chose to order the blackened chicken salad as a wrap. I like that they offer this option! I was very impressed with the amount of protein in the wrap - they were not skimpy with the chicken and it made for a perfect, filling meal. The menu doesn't say so, but the wrap came with tortilla chips and salsa. Overall, this was a solid stop for casual food. Would definitely recommend as a low-key option for meals downtown.

Crappy beer, brewery stuck 30 years in the past with the quality and styles. The food was a very basic menu and it wasn't executed very well. I wouldn't come back.

It's a decent place for food more known for their craft beers. Enjoy the atmosphere but overall nothing memorable.

Came here when my cousins and I visited town for the first time. Found the spot through Yelp after reading other people's reviews and looking at photos. I'm glad I followed people's recommendations to check this place out. The food and beer were great. We had their soup(I believe it was cheddar), nachos, burger & fries. We got seated right away. The servers were polite. It's a completely different vibe than what I'm used to in San Diego, CA but it's not a problem. I enjoyed my visit.

Food challenge Victory #9 Saturday 6/29/24 Rolled in today and stumbled upon this gem. Smaller interior with a quaint patio out back. Unfortunately had some heavy construction outside. And found a 5lb nacho Challenge promoted on their menu. Obviously, I had to try it. I asked if I could attempt it, and was told it was no problem. Food to a long time to come out, which was one of the only issues, and this only stood out because the place was pretty empty at 4:15 in the afternoon, and I imagine most of the ingredients for nachos are ready to put together. No hoopla, which I prefer, just REALLY good nachos. Consist of 1lb if nacho chips, 2lbs of pulled pork jalapeños, pico, nacho cheese, sour cream and roasted corn. It all came together perfectly in my opinion. I got 30 minutes to completed and receive the meal free, spot on their tiny wall of victory and and challenge t-shirt. I wasn't informed of a rules (usually pretty straight forward) though. Luckily, I was able to conquer the nachos, along side my boys, who split a regular order to "race" me in 22:19. Staff was very accommodating, good music, but gonna have to wait on a shirt to mailed to me. Would love to stop back when going through town and see my picture next to the pros Randy Santel and KatinaEatsKilos.

Came to Davenport specifically to try the oldest running craft brewery in IA. The food was good, the beers were very good. The server felt a bit new, as in a bit overwhelmed. But still a good stop on my brewpub trail!

Excellent salad to start. Their blue cheese dressing had real chunks of blue cheese. We also had a BLT and it was outstanding the bacon with some of the best bacon I've ever had and I used to be the product manager for one of the largest producers of bacon in the country. We split a cheeseburger too and it was excellent. The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the french fries, which were kind of boring. Also had a Mahalo beer and it was delicious especially on a hot day.

Great service. I got the blackened chicken salad and the chicken was done perfectly. Awesome salad. My husband got the in and out smash burger and coleslaw. Said the burger tasted great and the coleslaw was one of the best. He had the cherry beer which he really liked

Fa-bu-lous! great beers, food and service. seriously this could be our new favorite place for a halfway stop to our daughters house in Illinois. Way better than the typical bar food. Delicious! thanks to server and local, Glory, for great service and info about the area. Will definitely be back.

We came here on 4th of July it was pretty packed, but thankfully we were able to snag a table in time! They have really great food and beer. I tried the guacamole and bacon burger and it was so mouthwatering!! I also really enjoyed the Pineapple Radler, great for those who prefer a sweeter taste. This pub also sits in a great spot, right near the river and the Skybridge. It was very easy to walk from while hopping over to the park for an event going on.

Typical brew pub...mediocre food, okay craft beer. Being a big fan of IPAs, was a little disappointed to see only 2 on tap, though both were good. Ordered a blackened steak salad for dinner. Mediocre at best. Steak was tough, not cooked to medium as requested, no semblance of blackened. The blue cheese dressing was thin, but the honey mustard was outstanding. Had a nice zing to it, like horseradish. That, combined with the blue cheese on the steak made an excellent topping. Server was super friendly, but not very attentive. Glad I came, but would not come again.

Front Street Pub has a prime location (right on the river), an appealing atmosphere, and tasty food. It's a good choice for a bite to eat. While in town with some friends for the blues fest we grabbed lunch here, both for sustenance and to escape the rain. Luckily we beat the rush because this place filled up to the brim by the time we left! We had a table off to the side of the bar, a great spot that skirted a lot of the traffic. Our waitress was friendly and eager to serve. After ordering a round of beers we took a few extra minutes perusing the menu because they have a varied selection that is very appealing. I ended up having the chicken wings (called "crispy" but didn't really live up to their name) and the Cheddar Ale Soup (which was tasty!). My friends split a burger and a side salad and enjoyed their fare as well. Front Street Pub didn't exactly blow us away with their offering but they didn't turn us away (by some major issue) either. They do what you'd expect of a pub and leave you with a full belly and not-so-empty wallet. I enjoyed my visit and would return in the future.

I had 3 fighters come in from out of town and I recommended this place. They came in on this past Saturday (03/08) and stood there for TWENTY MINUTES without even so much as a hello. After being BLATANTLY ignored, we finally just left due to the ABHORRENT treatment and found somewhere where we'd be acknowledged and treated with respect. At what point people, let alone professional athletes who fight for our city get treated in such a manner. I will NEVER come back or suggest this establishment again.

Don't recommend, food was dry, the "loaded fries" were just fries with cheese (barely), dry bacon bits (store bought), and green onion. Our burgers were dry and flavorless with hard buns. Not to mention it took over 45 mins just to be disappointed.

Fantastic service and the Mac n cheese is an absolute must!! I went there for the Mac n cheese burrito because I saw it in another review. Although they no longer have this item, I was very pleased with the baked Mac n cheese. The Louisiana burger was good too. It has fried tomatoes and caramel ones onions on it. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone. The music is awesome, a little classic rock and a little Motown. Fun, clean, wonderful service and great food.

Service was horrible. One of the worst restaurant experiences in my life not only did they mess up our order. They didn't even give me my fries. I had to tell them about the extra sides we got and then not only that, but the people who came in like 30 minutes after us got their food before us. Mind you it was a party of 2 just like us.

We went on Friday 6/26. I know things are busy in Davenport this weekend due to the race and other events but when we arrived this place was not on any kind of wait and I would not call it busy. The host was obviously annoyed to do her job and was the sort of "friendly" that you can see right through. Our service was ridiculously slow. From the time we ordered dinner until it arrived at our table (of 4 people) it was over 75-80 minutes, and then the food was not hot. Our server never offered if we wanted another beer or to refill our waters. When we went to pay we gave our server cash and she brought back 2 larger bills, clearly not understanding that if she wanted a tip she would want to provide us with smaller bills. In attempting to have some of this broken into smaller change, the host (who was the only staff member who even paid attention to me) was snarky and said she's "only a host and doesn't have access to the drawer" rather than letting us know she'd get our server, or truly ANY not completely terrible response. Train your people. It seems that there was not really anyone "in charge" and it was just a free for all with the staff.

We always enjoy eating here when we're in the downtown area. Good service. I always enjoy the blonde cherry beer!

I stopped in on a Wednesday night with a coworker. We were told 45 minute wait. I went next door for a beer to kill time. We were summoned back about 15 minutes later. Totally fine with the shorter wait, but what if I had gone somewhere less convenient? The beer brought out was pretty warm. I prefer cold beer. The second one was the same temperature. The pretzel appetizer was enormous and came with two choices. A nacho cheese or brown mustard. I liked both sauces. The pretzel itself was a bit odd. The fish tacos were unremarkable. They were perfectly edible but nothing would make me go back for them. The wait staff did a fine job.

10 years ago, the beer sucked. Now it's improving. 5 years ago, the food was better. Now it's declining. Service is exactly hit or miss. Like 50/50 half the time. Interior dining is always cozy & clean. Exterior patio/alley and bathrooms are always gross. Had two bad experiences in a row recently, but I'll reserve permanent judgment because of past love. Congrats on being exactly average. The next move is yours. Please choose wisely.

I'm not in Davenport often but I stopped in after jury selection at the federal courthouse. It wasn't busy and the bartender was doing double duty as the waitress. Nonetheless, she managed to keep everything moving. I was greeted immediately and told to sit anywhere I want. My booth was clean and I quickly filled it with a beer flight sample. I was impressed with both the range and quality of selections. I had a chicken sandwich and fries, all cooked perfectly, arriving quickly. I'm looking forward to returning to try more menu options.

Had my rehearsal dinner here last weekend and the service was impeccable, the food was great, beer selection was awesome, I only took away one star because two of my family members ordered the fish and chips and said it was really bad But steer clear of the fish and chips, and you should be good to go! Thank you for accommodating us and giving us a place to celebrate!

Great pub food and top notch beer. Friendly and attentive staff and yummy chow. I went with the deluxe burger with guac and bacon. Dear lord thank you for not making it that microwave garbage. Great flight of beers and an awesome waitress. Where to stop on a cross country road trip!

Amazing food, great service. It can be a little pricey but it tastes high dollar. When we went I was in the mood for a good burger and it was probably the best burger l've ever had. My boyfriend got their Reuben and he said the same thing. Not too crazy about their BBQ sauce (I use for fries), but everything else l've had is awesome! He also got the flight and loved each beer for its unique qualities.

My husband, Mother in law went for lunch ! Was great food ! Unfortunately our fries were cold and it took our server awhile to get back to us to give us the sides we ordered. As for the burgers, delicious!

My niece and I went there for lunch. Sat at table for 20 minutes. Two waitresses walked pass us several times but would not even make eye contact. Place was NOT crowded. We got up and walked out. No one said a word to us. Will never go back!

Came here for the first time with my coworkers. Anyways, we ordered a flight of beers, Wickedest Burger (1/2lb. burger, bacon, fried onions, and shredded pork- slightly dry, but delicious), Smoked Gouda Steak Burger (friend ordered no bacon, but got it anyways, overall thought it was pretty flavorful), Front Street Poutine (fries buried in gravy, bacon, and smoked gouda cheese- pretty soggy and messy, but delicious), Greek Mussels (huge bowl of slightly overcooked mussels in this delicious sauce that comes with crostini), chicken wings (nothing special), and fried cheese curds (nothing special). They have a variety of alcohol and a lot to choose from. Overall, this little pub is not too shabby. I love the vibe and I was curious why they had some Hawaii related items here like leis, drinks named with Hawaiian words, etc, but our waitress didn't know either. There's a parking lot across the street and off to the side of this building. The staff here are all fast and very friendly. Our waitress, Olivia, provided great customer service regardless if our food took a while to come out.

"Is this Florida?" "No...it's Iowa!" I am a huge fan of mahi mahi and can't say I've ever seen it on a menu at a restaurant in the area where I live (Chicagoland). I don't go to seafood restaurants but you'd think someone would have it. Nope. But Front Street does! And it made my day. My son and I both went with the aforementioned and absolutely loved it. Served with rice and asparagus sides..we were in dining heaven. I also enjoyed the two craft beers I has a glass of: Bucktown Stout and Mahalo Pineapple Raddler. I'm still kicking myself for leaving without a growler of each in hand. The Stout had the right level of silty and the Mahalo would be the perfect craft for a warm summer day. Heck, it was delicious when it was 50 degree's! They have a pretty extensive beer and food menu offering plenty of options. They also offer a good number of guest beers, but I would highly recommend trying the crafts that Front Street makes instead. Cheers!
