Port of Seattle’s West Seattle lookout pairs a quiet shoreline walk with a 45‑foot observation tower for downtown and shipyard views. Local coverage notes the pier remains closed for replacement, but the park and tower are open.

Came here to see the seaparade. Super nice and short walk to a beautiful park with a grassy area to sit. There is beach access as well. Ended up just having a little picnic. Very sunny but there is shade as well. You can drive all the way to the park area and just walk to the end of the lookout or you can park farther away and enjoy the walk to the park. It's like a 10 minute walk.

The drive in feels a bit industrial and iffy, but don't let that stop you—it has plenty of parking spaces and there are restrooms available (though I wouldn’t call them clean, they're usable in a pinch). This is a great spot for a walk or picnic with the Seattle skyline as your backdrop. If you're looking for the perfect photo of the city, this is the spot! A short stroll up to the turnaround point rewards you with a sweeping view. The trail itself is pleasant, with some flowers at the start and benches along the way where you can sit and enjoy the ocean, watch the cargo ships pass by, and just relax. Overall, it’s a nice, underrated park with great skyline views if you don’t mind the industrial surroundings on the way in.

The park is located between the port and the shoreline. It is dog friendly. The meadow with flowers is so pretty. If you go up the stairs and cross the bridge, you'll get to a beach. Walk a little further and you'll see a viewpoint.

It’s a neat space on the west side to take in views of the city. Part of the pier is closed for safety. There’s some water access to fish, and signs are posted about which are safe to eat. Easy to reach by transit, I took the 21 from Belltown to West Seattle, then the 773 takes you north in their shuttle buses.

I love this park! I love that it was a Industrial wasteland that had attention placed into it to it, and through much hard work and funding, was returned back to the people as a place to relax or exercise and enjoy nature

Swam, clean beach walking paths around. Pavement to skate paths with dogs on leashes. Good rocks to sit on.

I love how JBP is tucked away out of immediate notice as you drive towards Alki. Since it's less visited, the bathrooms are generally in good condition. It's SUPER quiet here. You can walk up steps or use a ramp. You can climb up to a tall pier to view the city and look at the water. Many people fish from here. I've taken my paddleboard out from here- it's peaceful. It's not great for kids, or a showy place to take out of town guests. But if you just want some quiet thinking time alone, this is thr place for you.

I absolutely love Jack Block Park! It's peaceful and not crowded. The restrooms are surprisingly really clean and dont stink. It’s perfect for walking your dog, enjoying city views, or having a relaxing picnic. My personal favorite activity is reading here. Highly recommend for a chill day with friends or family. Love this hidden gem! 💗
