I came here with my girlfriend on Halloween. We experienced great service and delicious food! We got the baked goat cheese appetizer. Having never had goat cheese before, I didn't know what to expect. It was tangy, creamy, and the fried pita chips were amazing. For my entree, I got the Figit-About-It pizza. The fig spread was a welcome departure from traditional marinara sauce. It also had goat cheese which paired perfectly with the mozzarella, prosciutto, and sautéed onions. I'm a sucker for cannoli, so if course we ordered that for dessert. They were huge and very delicious! We had a great evening here! I'd definitely recommend giving them a visit, and we'll be back!

Anthonino's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants on The Hill. The toasted ravioli is the very best! I ordered the Ricotta pizza on their original crust...my fave!!! Our waiter, Mr Shue (Cory) was great. No complaints whatsoever.

We always like to find a spot that @guyfieri has gone to on @Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives when taking family trips. The Scarato brothers opened their restaurant in 2003 and come from an Italian and Greek parents. The items on their menu are family recipes and is prepared by hand with locally sourced ingredients. We ordered the Toasted Raviolis for an appetizer. These were absolutely delicious. The raviolis were well flavored and fried to perfection. The marinara sauce was a flavor bomb. My wife does not like red sauce and kept wanting more. We were even using the complimentary bread to dip in it. For dinner the kids shared an Alfredo pasta. The Alfredo sauce isn’t your Olive Garden Alfredo, this is what I can only imagine it tastes like in Italy. I ordered the Chicken Marsala which came with a side of your choice and I chose Alfredo. The chicken was a nice sized cutlet and loaded with Marsala sauce. The sauce was well flavored and not heavy at all. My wife had the House Salad and added 4 shrimp to it. The salad is romaine lettuce, red onion, cherry tomatoes, pepperoncini, Kalamata olives, fet, cucumber and served with a creamy Greek dressing. I do not care for salads, but this salad was so good. The Greek dressing tasted like a mix of Ceasar dressing, Italian dressing and honey mustard. I promise, you will get all those flavors and they work together. They have been recognized for this dressing and once you try it, you can tell why. The shrimp were huge and cooked beautifully. I’m not sure what they do to them, but honestly they were one of the best tasting shrimp we ever had. This is a fantastic restaurant. On a Thursday evening, there was a wait. You can tell how popular this place is, and for good reason. I wish that we lived closer so that we could have these great flavors again and again. We had such a great experience at Anthonino’s Taverna! We ordered the fried ravioli, the goat cheese marinara with pita chips, and the bolognese — and everything was delicious! All of the dishes came out quickly and were full of flavor, but our absolute favorite was the bolognese — so rich and perfectly seasoned. The service was wonderful, and the restaurant itself is super cute and cozy. Definitely a spot we’ll be returning to!

Google
A great place on the hill for a delicious lunch! The house salad, the chicken marsala, and the lasagna were very tasty! We also had the tiramisu, wow!!! We took a pizza home to try later, it did not disappoint! The waitress was the best, she had been working there since they opened and had great stories about the place! We will be back!!!

Just visited on a whim because I was in the area and wanted some fettuccine Alfredo. It was so creamy and delicious. Had an espresso martini and cheesecake as well, this espresso martini was one of the best I’ve tried in stl! Hit all the notes appropriately and it was nice and creamy in the beginning. Service was nice. Heck, might have to come back! Idk how busy they get, but I went around 5 pm on a Friday and was seated instantly.

Google
Andres did an Incredible Job with his Service! He didn't hover, but made sure we had All we needed. The Restaurant has Phenomenal Italian/Sicilian food. And that's coming from a Sicilian/Italian! Wish you guys were in Houston, Tx!!! All homemade entrees and it was obvious!

Google
Lives up to the hype!!! Toasted Ravioli and house made mozzarella sticks were excellent!! Pizza was very good as well, maybe a little too oily for me. Wait staff did an incredible job. Parking is tough with only street parking in a neighborhood.

Yelp
One of the best lunches ever! The toasted raviolis were absolutely amazing. And the steak pasta special was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and portioned. The service is very friendly and the establishment adorable. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to across the country. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
First, our server was great. Sweet, knowledgeable and celebratory (as it was a birthday)! The space itself was busy, we had a 7 PM reservation and got sat about 7:20 so not too long of a wait. It's a pretty casual vibe, don't have to be too dressed up but you for sure can! Now the food: They can fry some good stuff. Ravioli and Mozzarella sticks were great. Cheese bread was okay, could've been a little crunchier for me. I ordered the garlic , chicken, spinach pizza. Delicious! I will say it was a tad soggy in spots but the reheat was on point! Good flavor. My love has the Carbonara, first time having it and it was great. They make their own pasta and you can tell it's made with consistency.

Yelp
WOW. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Came in at about 8:30, 2 adults 5 kids. Total chaos. Our server Bailee, was so patient, helpful and pleasant our entire time. I ended up ordering the lasagna. WOW. PIPING hot (actually burned myself on the dish it came in, lol), so flavorful and tasty. Pasta cooked to perfection. I wish it had more meat, but delicious nonetheless. My friend ordered pasta con broccoli and said her dish was also delish. My daughters had meatball pasta, a cheese pita pizza and shrimp Alfredo. All dishes were devoured. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK, I can't wait to try a pizza!!!!

Yelp
Anthonino's Taverna is my go to Italian restaurant lately. I have learned that no matter what day of the week or what time, you should definitely get a reservation! When my mom is in town last time, we went for a dinner date and while waiting for our table, sat at the bar to enjoy a cocktail. The bartender was helpful and talked with my mom about some of the drinks that she might like to try. He ended up creating a fizzy cocktail for her that she really enjoyed as it was not too strong and not too sweet. I can't remember what it was, but it was refreshing which is all that matters. For dinner, we usually start with an appetizer and then choose a pasta dish with seafood (the clams and scallops are always a great pick). The salads are refreshing and just the right size and the bread they bring out is usually warm and tasty. The butter, on the other hand, is usually too cold to spread. Service has always been fantastic and the food has been tasty each and every time we visit. We don't always order dessert, but if we do, it's usually the cannoli to share. If you don't want to order the traditional Italian dishes, they also offer a few Greek dishes so this place is a win-win if you are looking for something with both options. They have a small sidewalk patio during the warmer patio months and can be a lot of fun. They also allow dogs outside with patio seating, so this is another dog friendly choice when I want to bring my little guy along for a date.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots on The Hill, Anthonino's never disappoints. Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. Had the house salad which was super fresh but a little bit heavy on the dressing. The pasta con broccoli and carbonara were fantastic and full of flavor. Thoroughly enjoyed our calabrese pizza. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're craving Greek or Italian!

Yelp
The service was good. The food was ok. I'm from the west coast so food is much fresher where I live. We got the baked goat cheese and lasagna. The goat cheese was ok, very basic but I do love goat cheese. The lasagna was not to my liking but only because it was overpoweringly sausage. The noodles were good. In all fairness it was probably the best food we had while in St. Louis but imo that's not saying much.
google avatar

Allyson M.

Yelp
The pizza here was so good. I enjoyed it very much. The toasted ravioli that the area said we had to try, was not that great. It was literally a piece of ground patty inside a ravioli. No cheese or sauce or filling just a mini piece of meat. But the pizza awesome!! The service was great we went to pickup. The inside looked nice and plenty of seating.

Yelp
Excellent way to start my trip eating in St. Louis Missouri today. Pizza was stellar lots of flavor crispy thin crust. Toasted raviolis great appetizer to start off with your meal. Espresso martini wise choice to help you with jet lag. Local beers on draft are not to be missed here. Free parking beside the restaurant. Don't forget to check out the local Italian grocery stores nearby here.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant stopped by for dinner with my team and they didn't dissapoint! The food and service were amazing. I have to say this was as close as authentic Italian food as I have had. Get the lasagna you wont regret it!!

Yelp
When in St Louis the Hill is a must for every and any thing Italian. We stopped for lunch and the place was hopping. Our server Dimetri was amazing. He reviewed the menu with us and made suggestions. We decided on the roasted garlic pizza which was outstanding. Creamy garlicky and a fantastic cheese pull. The chicken and spinach were the perfect compliment to the pie. Lots of interior seating and some outdoor as well. Finding parking is the biggest challenge but worth the effort
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious eats in an updated but also old-school vibes restaurant. We got the cheese garlic bread (to die!) and the special - thin crust Margherita pizza. I want to try the regular pizza and pasta - we saw quite a few lasagnas go out! Great spot I recommend & can't wait to return to!

Yelp
Anthonino's is my favorite spot on the hill. It's my go to when people are in from out of town or even when I'm just wanting a great Italian meal! Their pizzas, pastas, and apps are all amazing! My go to dishes are Baked Goat Cheese, Toasted Ravioli, Pasta Pomodoro, Italian Salad, and any of their pizzas.

Yelp
Our server was amazing; food and drinks came fairly quickly. Everything we ordered was under seasoned. The meat inside the ravioli, the pasta sauces, the meatballs. There was no depth of flavor. I can tell the ingredients are fresh but something was missing from everything....

Yelp
This local Italian restaurant is such a solid, family-friendly spot. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it's one of those places where you actually feel comfortable bringing the whole crew. The food is consistently and the squid ink pasta might be my favorite thing on the menu. Generous portions, authentic flavors, and a spot that just makes you feel at home every time you visit.

Yelp
We ordered to-go curbside and were pleasantly impressed with Anthonino's food. Their curb side service was excellent too, they texted me as soon as I pulled up and brought my order out right to my car. The toasted ravs were everything you could want from t-ravs and the pizza was also really nice, except next time I'd probably opt for cheese vs. the four meat which is what I had. Also, the pasta was awesome. It was simple, but comparable to dishes I've had in Italy. Overall, would be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Anthonino's never disappoints! We came on a Friday evening and grabbed a spot on the patio. I started with the Lucia's Spritz, which was light and refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered the caprese and the baked goat cheese--if you're a goat cheese fan, this is a must-try. It's baked in marinara sauce and paired with fried pita chips. They also bring out complimentary bread with oil, which is always a nice touch. For entrees we split a pepperoni pizza and the chicken parmesan sandwich. The pizza was excellent--perfectly done and full of flavor. The chicken parm sandwich, on the other hand, fell a little flat for me and probably isn't something I'd order again. Overall, another great experience with fantastic service and tasty food.

Yelp
Anthonino's is easily my favorite restaurant in St Louis. It's one of those restaurants you will comfortable dressing nice or on your way to a ballgame. We have always had wonderful service. They bring complimentary bread and oil to the table. The seasoned oil is delicious and the bread We always get the goat cheese appetizer. It comes with toasted pita. I have included pictures of our different dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant- the Italian is amazing but so is the Greek!

Yelp
One thing that I learned from my trip to St. Louis is that it has a very big Italian restaurant presence. Most of those restaurants are located on The Hill which is a neighborhood. Anthonino's Taverna was my last meal while in town and I wound up saving the best for last. I had dinner there on a Thursday night and arrived without a reservation but only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. This restaurant has a lot of inside seating along with outside seating too. Add a full bar and this restaurant gets loud. Don't expect a quiet romantic kind of dinner experience here. I ordered the Tutti Mare entree for $19 and added a house salad for another $7. The complimentary bread and olive oil basket arrived shortly after. It was very good bread and so I had to remember to not eat too much of it. Then the salad arrived with romaine, red bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, pepperoncini, olives, cucumber and feta cheese with Greek dressing. It was a very good tasting salad made with fresh ingredients. Shortly after that the main dish appeared. The clams, squid, shrimp and mussels bathed in olive oil garlic butter sauce over spaghetti pasta that is house made. There was plenty of seafood in this meal and for $19 it was a steal. The olive oil with garlic butter sauce was delicious but the star of the show was the pasta. Absolutely perfect! I went to Rome and Florence last year and the pasta quality was by far the best I've ever had. This pasta was the best pasta that I have had since then. Perfectly cooked and the taste was legit. It turned this meal from a 4 score to a 5. Even though I was stuffed after this meal, I think I could have eaten another bowl of just the pasta. It was that good. Bree was my server and did a fine job. Anthonino's is an excellent restaurant with a lively atmosphere. I understand why it is so popular and will remember this meal and that pasta for a while.

Yelp
We finally made it back to Anthonino's & we loved every minute of it! We went on a Tuesday around 2:00pm. We took an Uber from downtown & were able to get dropped off right out front. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. There was about a 15 minute wait for a table (it was one of the first warm weather days so everyone was out for lunch that day). So we put our names down & grabbed a seat at the bar. We both ordered a drink & by the time we took our first sip our table was ready. We were able to sit in Christina's section & she took the best care of us. We started with fresh mozzarella sticks & toasted ravioli. The last time we were here the toasted ravioli was my favorite thing I had.... However the fresh mozz sticks took the No.1 spot this trip. They were perfectly crispy on the outside & had the perfect cheese pull. We also wanted to try something new so we ordered the Gyro pizza. It was SO good. The gyro meat was perfectly spiced & tender. All the toppings complimented each other. I told my boyfriend I could have stayed there all day. It's such a cozy vibe with incredible & friendly service. Before we left I popped into the ladies restroom which had 2 stalls & was very clean. If you get the chance to visit this place, GO! You won't regret it.

Yelp
I love absolutely everything about this restaurant! The food is amazing and the service is great. My family went here for my birthday and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress Stephanie stepped in and made my birthday even better.

Jeanette ..

Yelp
This review is only on their takeaway toasted ravs ... First, they are crazy expensive! Second, the marinara that comes with them tastes like cheap tomato paste right out of a can! Third, the ravs themselves are not worthy of the Anthonino's name. They are soooo good in restaurant but these were awful. And unfortunately, I bought two packages of them. Don't waste your money on these.

Yelp
Good visit. Open later than others so I visited after a delayed flight. Staff were friendly. Bread and oil delicious! I had the kale Caesar which was very good, and the beef tortellini. The vibe was relaxed and more casual. Tiramisu was good.

Yelp
Located in the hill neighborhood in St. Louis, this little gem is serving up some great dishes. We stopped in here to carb up before a 5K race and sat at the bar. The bartender, Bryce, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our food came out quickly, and it was delicious! Please see the pictures for descriptions
google avatar

Kara B.

Yelp
The lasagna was top notch! They use sausage in pretty much everything so hopefully you like sausage! I loved the sausage in the lasagna but I'm not used to spicy sausage in meatballs... Caesar salad was good but I didn't get to finish it because they brought my entree out a few mins after the salad. Place was clean and spacious. I hate being crammed! Service was fantastic and we got good portions! Great authentic place to visit on The Hill!

Yelp
Wanted to try a new spot with some outdoor seating and Anthoninos did not disappoint! The outdoor tables are just on the side of the building/ near the side walk but were sufficient for us to get to enjoy some nice weather! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and so helpful with picking our pizza!

Yelp
Had a nice dinner at this restaurant on a very cold snowy evening in February. They have no parking lot, but free street parking was available. Of the food items we tried, we all enjoyed the toasted ravioli. The Alfredo pasta with broccoli and the pasta with grilled salmon were pretty good, but not necessary life-changing. The lasagna, served in its own metal dish, looked the most impressive of our choices. And the beef braciole was described to us as "chewy", but the sauce was praised. The ambiance is dim and romantic and would be suitable for a business meeting or a special occasion. On a side note that was in no way the fault of the restaurant, one of the members of our party fell on the curb and sustained serious injuries. When another member of the party went in to call 911, the owner of the restaurant came out and stayed in the bitter cold with us until the ambulance arrived. He even was able to borrow a couple of blankets from another restaurant patron. So it's nice to know that the restaurant is run by kind people.

Yelp
Each visit has been top notch. The food is delicious - you MUST get the toasted ravs! My entire family is happy here - seafood pasta is sublime, gyros are sizable and satisfying, and cannolis end the meal on the right note. I've been impressed each time with the service - wait staff is friendly (but not overbearing), and cook times are quick. A great casual atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. I only wish you could make reservations for parties of 7+ on the website. Otherwise - perfection!

Yelp
Came by on a Wednesday night for dinner, and it was just a mediocre meal. I guess I had higher expectations before coming here and the food was just okay. Took us about 20-25 minutes to get seated, and I was surprised by how large the restaurant was. From outside, it doesn't look so big. Our servers were friendly and food came out very fast. The bread they served was excellent. My clam pasta though was too salty and was nothing special. It was about $16 pre tax and I felt overpriced for the portion and the taste. Only street parking available but finding parking was not too bad. I'd imagine weekends might be a nightmare.

Yelp
Was recommended to try St. Louis Pizza by the locals however I have to warn you this spot is not known for St. Louis Pizza or food. We waited over an hour but it was well worth the wait! Put down your phone number and then they text you when the table is ready. Ordered: *Calamari- had a great crispy texture. Not that many tentacles. Which is a win in my books! They have two different sauces to dip in. *Toasted ravioli- this is my first time trying ravioli and I have to say this was really amazing not overly saucy because you get to dip as you please. And it was filled with meat. How a nice crisp to the bite. *Kids small Pasta marinara with short noodles-my kids love this dish it was really good. *Prince Edward Island mussels - wish this was a little bit warmer but it tastes excellent. Flavorful. *4 meat hand toss pizza- fully loaded with pepperoni and cheese. Tasted great comes in only a 14 inch size. Overall, Clean environment. A bit of an old school vibes. Casual attire is fine. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food comes out super fast. Would I come back? Oh heck yes I would! My family of 4 were super happy campers! Definitely recommend this gem to all of my fellow Yelp Foodies! Tips: *Street parking *Indoor seating only *They have a bar area *Credit card accepted *Kids menu available *Restroom available for customers *They do catering and private events as well. *They sell their marinara sauce in a jar. *Corkage fee *Parties of 10+ 20% gratuity fee added to bill. *$2 dessert fee pp added if you bring in outside dessert.

Yelp
Fantastic Italian restaurant in the Hill. Service was on point and the food was fantastic. Cool old school Italian music to boot.

Yelp
It was my first time in Missouri and a local highly recommended this restaurant. What was ordered: Soup of the day: barley soup, fried ravioli, caprese, salad The barley soup was good. I ordered the bowl size and I thought it was a decent portion for the price. I think it's a bit on the saltier side, but I definitely am on a more low sodium diet. The fried ravioli is great for sharing. I would recommend this to share with friends or family. It comes with a marinara sauce. The caprese has a delicious burrata cheese served with it. Simple but definitely tasty if you like tomatoes. And finally the salad. I got the smaller size which I found to be enough personally. It was about the same size as my bowl of soup. I think it was a little on the saltier side as well due to the pickled vegetables in it. But it was fresh and tasted fine. I saw many other choices as well around my table and the pizza and lasagna looked the best. Next time I think I will attempt to try those. Overall I think I probably chose the wrong items to try, but everything else looked very good. The staff were also really great. It was such a popular place, we wasted for about 45 minutes. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Anthonino's is a go to for my family. We had a reservation, so we were seated quickly. Reservations are encouraged cause they are usually busy. The baked goat cheese with the toasted pita bread is one of my favorite appetizers, we also did the mussels and toasted raviolis since we had a big group, All delicious. The tutti made with the pink sauce is my go to pasta but they changed the noodle and it was a much thinner noodle than normal which sadly was not as good. Not sure if this is a permanent change or just something they did in a pinch. We ended the night with martinis, I had the chocolate and loved the shaved chocolate topping. My boyfriend has the espresso martini and he was a fan. We also had the Tiramisu, one of my favs on the hill.

Yelp
I was excited to eat here. The menu looked to be a mix of Italian and Greek and I love both cuisines. We had made reservations for 6:15pm on a Wed evening, but arrived around 5:30pm and there was plenty of open seating. We requested a booth and found the atmosphere to be excellent. The booths have high walls which make them seem really private. The service here throughout the evening was friendly and excellent. Between my wife and myself we ordered the Saganaki, Greek Salad, Caesar Salad with Gyro meat, Chicken Parm with a side of Bolognese pasta. The warm bread and warm olive oil was fantastic and the best part of the meal. The saganaki was "grilled" and tasted nothing like the fried versions I've had other places. I liked the crushed croutons on the Caesar Salad and was excited about getting Gyro meat as a protein addition, however, the meat was dry and the overall dish was just "meh". I tried my wife's Chicken Parm and it was also a bit dry and I didn't care for the sweetness of the sauce. Had the same problem with the Bolognese sauce on her side pasta. My wife said her Greek Salad was one of the best she's ever had.

Yelp
As a Sicilian who lives to eat and doesn't eat to live I'm QUITE picky on my Hill favorites. Anthonino's rolls in my top 3. For one, I love the Greek/Italian crossover having grown up around the famous Olympia Kebob House family. For starters, their decor is spruced up having been redone. It's rustic reminiscent of an Italy based stone restaurant inhabited for generations but kept up nicely. The service is always on point and attentive. I personally cherish this hotspot because they have homemade pasta. I've enjoyed the pizza but hard to side step from fresh pasta. The traditional Greek dishes are all on point but I'd say my personal favorite side dish is the stl CLASSIC t-ravs. A must visit. Thanks for the many years of family gatherings where everyone talks at once, cozy date nights, and belly laughter with friends. Cheers.

Yelp
Delicious dinner spot!!!!! We started with espresso martinis which were a 7/10, they were a bit watered down & the server said they were pre-mixed. It took a minute for our server to bring out bread, but when he did it was very good!! Came with olive oil and butter to put on top We ordered 2 pizzas for 6 of us and had plenty of leftovers because the pizzas were large. I loved the veggie pizza, we added feta and it was so good!!! Don't knock broccoli on a pizza until you try it! The kale caesar was also phenomenal. The dressing was not fishy at all & it was covered in parmesan cheese and bread crumbs - yum!!! We went to celebrate my friend's birthday & they even brought out a little cannoli for her with a candle. Can't wait to go back for more pizza and try a pasta next time!!!

Yelp
The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauces were incredibly rich and flavorful! Authentic, homemade taste in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. An absolute gem for Italian food lovers. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went in for lunch on a Friday while travelling through. What a fantastic find. It's a big restaurant - lots of seating. Parking in the street is free and was plentiful at lunchtime. Service was spot on. Filled water glasses, came back and checked up - well done! Wife is gluten free and they catered to her every wish with a gluten free menu. She had the stuffed grape leaves - best she has ever had. I tasted - wonderful herby flavor. I had bolognese. Nice sauce - could have been meatier - but the pasta was exceptional. They put a burrata like cheese on top that put the dish over the top. I loved it.

Yelp
Finally made it back to the Hill for some great Italian food and visited Anthonio's Taverna. Lots of recommendations from both the Yelp Army and friends praising Anthonio's lunch and dinner options. We visited on a late Saturday afternoon and was surprised Anthonio's was very busy before the dinner rush. We waited a few minutes to be seated in a booth but table seating was open. Our server was quick to provide some recommendations and well as take our drink order. We've been new to order appetizers more and went with the fried artichoke hearts. Several lightly fried artichoke hearts served with lemon and a light sauce. Was very good and definitely worth ordering again. Anthonio's has an extensive menu of delicious dishes to include pasta, pizza and classic Italian cuisine. We went with the Carbonara with grilled sausage and chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were delicious, seasoned perfectly and generous portions. Restaurant had a very intimate decor for intimate meals or a special dinner with guests. I highly recommend calling ahead if you're interested in visiting with a large party. Service was very attentive always keeping drinks filled, and tables were serviced quickly. Anthonio's Taverna was an excellent experience and highly recommend. Definitely coming back in the near future.

Yelp
A lunch hangout let to me trying out the meatball pasta here. It was great and boy is that a monster sandwich, the fries were crispy and the service was good. I'd say it's the bread for me that really does the trick. Whoever makes these deserve a raise! Great food spot as usual

Yelp
Was traveling for work and this restaurant was close to the hotel, had good reviews, and so we decided to give it a try. We didn't have a reservation but they got us a table in less than 30 minutes which was a definite plus. We got served quickly as well and the food was good and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Our mission to try toasted ravioli led us to Anthonino's, where we also thought that we were getting St. Louis-style pizza, but it actually turned out to be just pizza. In whichever case, we had a great experience here, mostly due to the fact that we ended up chatting for a while with these two very nice local women while we were all waiting for our respective tables. We learned a lot about the city from them! BTW you can get drinks at the bar while you wait; they had a nice version of an aperol spritz and there's a lager collaboration with Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. We had already picked out our dishes while we were waiting and started with the crispy artichokes, toasted ravioli, and kale caesar salad. Everything was pretty good! We especially appreciated the artichokes because they were the bottoms, so even if they were not fresh (which they probably weren't), it was a nice switch from the hearts. They were cooked well and came with an interesting lemony sauce. The ravioli were...definitely different! It's kind of like eating a dry meat-filled cracker, so they've definitely got a crisp to them. We really did not enjoy the red sauce they were served with because it was quite metallic-tasting. The kale caesar was OK but it had too many breadcrumbs and too much dressing. As we get to the pizza portion of the evening, we no have to mention our waiter, whose ultimate goal seemed to be to engage our table as little as possible. After "the Sicilian" pizza came out and he graced us with a "how is everything?", we mentioned that the pizza was really greasy (because it was), and he started soliloquizing how it was really "salt water" from the pepperoni and not oil (which it empirically was), that they learned about during their training, etc., etc. Lolzzzz! Well, never hear that one before. No matter, it was still really good. Bottom line, this was the typical "Hill" St. Louis experience that we were looking for, and it delivered. Four stars, but really wondering what our thoughts would be had we not met those wonderful folks before the meal who put us in such good spirits. It's true what they say about Midwesteners!

Yelp
A very cute restaurant. We came on a Tuesday night and it was busy. I was told that i had to try the toasted ravioli and it was good. I took a chance with my entree and I enjoyed that as well. Very nice for date night or dinner with friends

Yelp
We walked in at 5:30pm on a Friday and promptly got seated by friendly staff. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was a little loud but we were seated towards the bar area and I imagine the dining area would be quieter. The food...oh the food is very good. This place has the best lasagna I have had on The Hill. The toasted rav are worth getting once, but they aren't anything to rave over. The Volpi Sausage pasta is just ok. I tried the last bit of it when my wife was finished and it was nothing I could t make better at home, which lead to the 4 stars. If I went back again, I would be trying a pizza, as I saw many get served that looked fantastic!

Yelp
We had not been to Anthonino's since 2020, I'm so happy we gave it another shot because this experience was lovely. I waited until the last minute to make a reservation and surprisingly got in at a reasonable time on a Friday night. We were sat right away in a booth near the bar, everything was notably very clean. It seemed updated since we'd last been in, I loved all the local memorabilia on the walls. Our waiter, Andres, was absolutely fabulous; super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient with drink and food delivery to the table. We had a well rounded meal with help from his recommendations - wine, salad, complementary bread, 2 entrees and dessert to-go. We will absolutely be back again sooner than our last period of time. Thank you mostly to Andres for a great experience.

Yelp
Anthonino's is always my go-to for the Hill. The food is delicious and prices are very reasonable compared to some of the others in the area. I've never had a bad dish here and they are very accommodating with my food allergies. Definitely recommend reservations as it can be hard to even get a spot at the bar. Don't miss out on this gem!!

Yelp
Anthonino's is one of the few local places to get good Pizza on Monday's, but it is good any day of the week! This time we went around 4 in the afternoon. In the evenings there is often a 2 hour wait. Parking is on tbe street and can sometimes be difficult to find a spot. My husband had the House Salad & I had the Italian salad and we liked both of them. I had the Prosciutto Pizza & my husband had the Garlic Chicken pizza. We've tried many of their Specialty pizzas, and these are our favorites.

Yelp
We met some friends here before a Cardinals game. Had never been before. We had mussels for the appetizer. They were good. The entrees were better. The pesto Alfredo was fantastic. The primavera was also great. We were seated promptly to our reservation time. The server and staff were friendly and service oriented. It wasn't super busy but things moved quickly and food was great. I'd love to go back and try the pizza. Restaurant is clean and eating area was fairly quiet given the large size.

Yelp
Ambiance is nicer on inside than outside. Fried ravioli is really tasty, the marinara dipping gravy is the bomb, the bread is warm and soft Italian loaf. No charge for it.

Yelp
Anthonino's is a great place to. Great food and superior service. Best raviolis in 314 that are not overcooked and the filling is sufficient to enjoy. Kale Caesar was really unique with a generous anchovies portion. Beef pasta special was outstanding with highly tender beef, mushrooms and tomatoes. Highly recommended. Chicken Parmigiana was outstanding as was the chicken parmigiana sandwich. The sandwich even was big enough for an extra meal. Highly recommend ANTHONINOS on the hill.
