Antonio's Pizza & Italian Ristorante

This place is inconsistent. They have the potential to be really good. Sometimes the vanilla canoli has chocolate chips, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the pizza is cooked to perfection, sometimes it's really under done. I ordered for delivery and this will be the last time I'm ordering from here. I got the fried calamari (for $13.50 plus tax) and it came with a total of 7 pieces of calamari on a very old, unnecessarily giant salad that I never asked for. Every piece was so soggy, I had to cook what little I had in my air fryer. I also ordered a large pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and black olives. I got a very old pepperoni pizza with uncooked mushrooms and black olives on it. Don't waste your money ordering from here. They obviously don't care about their customers.

Got home pizza was still dough. The crust was the only thing that was not mushy. Could not eat it even after reheating. Highly disappointed

Was easy to order the pizza looks good. I ordered calamari they charge you $17 for an order of calamari and they give you 17 little pieces of calamari. I won’t order from here again it’s a rip off.

The WORST Italian food ever tasted. - Sicilian pizza-very sweet sauce, dough also didn’t fully rise. - penne allá vodka- didn’t taste as it supposed to. Also sweet to taste and pasta cooked too long as it was very soft - Caesar salad with grilled chicken- grilled chicken is comparable to dried chicken dog treats. Croutons are poor quality. This is a poor quality “ Italian” restaurant.

Excellent food!!! The portions were large and very fresh. Very reasonable prices. Large selection. Much better than Olive Garden. Quite family style place. It could use some renovations but who cares once you eat the food👍👍👍👍👍 even the leftovers were great the following night 😊😊😊😊😊

The food is delicious! We've dined in and ordered takeout. One small issue was that the take-out order was short a couple of things, and the portion was smaller than dining in. But it was still really good and eating in is better anyway. The service is good and the atmosphere is fun. We had the baked ziti and lasagna.

They had to work on my order through a (unknown to me) power blip that messed their tickets up. Food was great too. Excellent service, great food. Hard to go wrong.

First time hearing or even eating here was about a week ago, within that week I’ve been back, lol, below is the chicken cheese Philly steak Calzone fully loaded with onions, bell peppers, mozzarella cheese, chicken,and this is family size it was definitely delicious, I also tried two orders of there wings garlic Parmesan and plain naked, the wings were good, and nice in size the prices are fair, and there is a wide food selection, from subs, pizza, wings, salads, desserts and small entree’s. I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff was polite and friendly, and the food is really good and worth the taste.

this place is amazing. I hear people complain about delivery problems but eating in the restaurant is where it's at, the food is fantastic. I have never eaten food so good. i love the silence and the silent noise of the silent people that come in including the noise of their machines and stuff. makes me feel right at home. I am going to try and come back as much as possible I love it here

I payed extra for a lot of toppings and the toppings were scarce. I paid $37.00 for a pizza. I asked that it be cooked light and it was not. First time here and I was not impressed.

I ordered through their app and it estimated 25-35 mins and it ended up over 1.5 hours. The food was actually cold and I told them to come pick it up and they had the nerve to tell me that I needed to bring it back to get a refund. I am not looking for a refund. I own a restaurant myself and I am only looking for what I ordered. Their app still shows my food hasn't even been delivered? Strange.

This review is based primarily on their food and delivery. I haven't had a chance to dine in their establishment. Because I work from home, I've found it increasingly more convenient to order food for delivery. In this case, I began using the Slice app and remembered Antonio's when my mom and I ordered take out from them. I've tried numerous items from Antonio's - Meat Lover's pizza, Deluxe pizza, mild wings, Italian Grande hoagie, roast beef hoagie, chicken cutlet hoagie, mushroom cheesesteak, lamb gyro, chicken gyro, pizza fries and garlic knots; all of them have been tasty and filling. Their delivery drivers are fast and courteous. Normally, when I order via the Slice app, I select a delivery time (usually noon) and they almost always arrive just before that. There have been times where I chose the ASAP delivery time, and they're responded quickly (usually in 15-30 mins) with no issues. Antonio's is a fine gem that I'd recommend to anyone. Their food is good, the customer service is outstanding - excellent overall. Thank you! JV

used to love this place. But be careful. My order was cancelled, which, ok, don't know what their day is like, but a different restaurant was named when support called me and said nothing about Antonio's.

When visiting for lunch the staff was very attentive. The pizza was made as traditional New York pizza should be (Former Nyer) Antonio's has great ambiance and brings back the NY Pizza to the 757.. I will always go here for my pizza cravings as the menu is packed full of choices

We have ordered pizza and Wings from here twice now on the slice app. Antonio's has the best pizza AND wings hands down in the Hampton Roads area. My husband and I are from Western Ny, home to good wings and pizza all around. This is not Buffalo style pizza it's more Ny style but it is spot on, sooo good. and if you like boss sauce, their mango habanero wing sauce is about as close to boss sauce as you can get. The wings are nice and meaty and fried to perfection.

Great pizza! The Stromboli is my favorite! The shrimp pasta is good too, I do add a bit of seasoning on my end, but other than that is good!

3.5 stars. Average priced menu, we've mostly done pizza and garlic knots. NY style pizza is pretty good, though the 18" pizzas are really 15" pizzas with 3" crust; prefer a tad more sauce to improve crust/sauce/cheese/topping ratio. Ingredients were seemingly fresh. Texture/overall bake is excellent. Slices are fresh yet sturdy enough to be folded and not droop. Use slice app to order; items are always ready at time of pickup. Plenty of parking in shared shopping center lot.

The best pizza i had in a very long time came to visit my boyfriend from Georgia, The Bianca pizza is an A+ awesome pizza omg the best pizza i will say better or about the same of new York pizzas

This was a wonderful quick dinner spot after our trip down! We went in to order to go and the staff were friendly. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, Vegetarian Stromboli, Mozzarella Sticks and Greek Salad. We sat at one of the tables to wait for everything to be ready and only waited 15 minutes. The inside feels like a really hometown/nostalgic atmosphere. Being on a Monday, there were a few people in and out but not many. The chef even took the extra touch to make the Stromboli in the shape of a fish. Everything was very good and we had nice leftovers for the next day! We will definitely be coming back!

Today my husband and I agreed to order some food from Antonio's Italian Ristorante in Norfolk Virginia. The grubhub driver who gave us our food was both polite and timely in giving us our food. Some of the delicious food we ordered were the garlic knots, the chicken parmesan pasta, an Italian platter that included stuffed shells, manicotti, stuffed ravioli. An additional plus was the food was a reasonable cost for the amount of food we received (obviously there are some leftovers for tomorrow).

We ordered Alfredo and it wasn't good at all. Very bland. can't speak on the pizza though

We're always on the lookout for a good neighborhood Italian place and I am a sucker for caprese salad, so if it's on the menu, we're going to check it out. We'd been here before it was Antonio's and it's not far from the house so we gave it a shot on a recent Saturday night. Surprisingly, there were only 2 other tables seated when we got there. I think this is more a takeout and delivery place. First impressions are everything and we didn't get the best one here. We walked in and despite several people behind the counter in the kitchen (including our eventual server who was taking with another) we weren't greeted until a line cook noticed us and told us to sit anywhere. Service with a smile, this was not. We got a nice helping of attitude, though. For example, when I ordered the caprese salad, she asked what kind of dressing I wanted? Um ok, I asked what they had. She listed them off - no balsamic. I asked if they had balsamic vinegar (obviously on her nerves at this point) to which she replied "nope. Just red vinegar." It was even better when Hubby ordered a Caesar salad and she asked what kind of dressing he wanted. Thinking she had misheard him, he said, "I'm so sorry, I meant a Caesar salad." To which she testily replied, "um, I got that. What kind of dressing?" Alrighty then. The salads were weird. Definitely not a traditional caprese or Caesar, but the ingredients were fresh. The other food was standard Italian - stuffed shells were tasty, Hubby's Italian combo was plentiful and the sauces were good. The kid got spaghetti with meat sauce on the side. The meat sauce was really good. It was nice to see that they don't use the same sauce for everything. Of course we ordered a small pizza (because how else can you judge the food at a small Italian place like this?) and it was cooked well with a nice sweet sauce and a decent amount of cheese. All in all, good food at a decent price. We'll eat it again, but next time we'll order take out. Oh yeah, our server? She turned sickly sweet and solicitous halfway through the meal when she noticed me taking pics of the food. Guessing she's heard of Yelp?

Rating 3.5 , Ordered delivery of the philly smboli & bacon cheese fries. The food arrived quickly and was still warm when I got it through contactless delivery. The philly Stromboli was to include steak, peppers, onions,mushrooms & cheese. There wasn't much of anything other than cheese, but it did taste good. The cheese fries were not what we expected. They used mozzarella cheese instead of cheese sauce, so once the cheese melted everything stuck together. We ended up throwing those away. Because this is a pizza place I would try again since I didn't get what they are popular for.

Not good pizza. Crappy crust, not enough cheese. The.crust was almost a third of the pizza. Failure. That's a basic for a pizza restaurant. Just make a decent pizza. You failed. Crust has little to no flavor, crust was huge. Sauce, a little on the sweet side. The most important thing is the crust...just bad. No flavor whatsoever. Boooooo. And perhaps put some cheese on your pizzas.,.If you're making a tomato pie, your sauce better taste better than tap water... Cannot recommend.

This is my 2nd review last time they'll get my money again and the only reason they get 1 star is because I can't pick 0 stars. I order the same thing each time. They screwed up my order gave me something completely different. Somehow it didn't matter what I said when I ordered. Because they're little piece of paper said I ordered what I got. But they were really sorry and would offer me 10% off my next purchase. They wouldn't make me a new order. So I guess they give you what they want!!! Check your order before you leave.

Pasta was over done and mush. Chicken parm was okay, tomato sauce was okay, but white clam sauce tasted like a weird combination of olive oil and cumin. Garlic bread was soggy.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! First time customer. Ordered the Hawaiian, 16". Pizza was made with chopped ham, small shriveled pineapple bits, no bacon in sight, and half the pizza had hardly any cheese. With tax and and $1 tip, that came to $19. I don't care where you are from, NY, WA, CA, FL, AL, this was a sub-standard, no love in food making, type of pie. I requested a refund, which was meet with management asking to make me another. I kindly refused, telling my him my reasoning on quality. As I left he said "maybe you like $5 pizza at Pizza Hut".... Very professional.

negative 10....... I was robbed by a few kids in young's terrace while working late Friday night ... because I had to call my accounts in stolen it left me with no access to funds til Monday ... ( no problem) broke into the piggy bank that had gold $1 coins . ordered $23 of food and the manager refused to take the coins . the cashier was nice enough to acknowledge the value of the coins and offered to use his money in exchange for mine .. which were both made in the United States by the way . I WILL NOT BE RETURNING ! I think it's a shame how they decided that my money was NOT GOOD ENOUGH

I ordered my first pizza from Antonio's using Uber eats-the Bianca Deluxe and a cannoli. Added it to my favorites. I guess it depends on what you like. Their pizza is not greasy. I love that. It is filling. 2 slices is enough so I'm not scarfing down a whole pizza in one sitting. Fresh ingredients and proportional distribution. Delicious crust. The cannoli was delicious, not overly sweet, perfect distribution of filling.

I ordered pizza and a steak & cheese sub. Excellent food and delivered in a timely manner.

We ordered for delivery after a long day and were severely disappointed. The chicken parm was frozen breaded patties. That is not chicken parm. The shrimp Alfredo was $20 but the shrimp was super small. The bake ziti was a poor excuse of ziti and I am sure the chicken Alfredo was probably frozen cooked chicken. Very poor quality food. And it had no flavor! How does pasta have no flavor. My 8 yr old said mom I need salt this taste like nothing. If you are not going to use quality products to make your food, don't offer it in the menu. I got a full refund, because that food was worth $20 at best not $100. They should be ashamed.

The food from this place was excellent, stellar, stupendous. I was looking for a new place to try / order food from the other day and Antonio's came to mind because it's fairly close to where I live. When I looked at the business page I saw that I can conveniently order my food straight from the app, it was like a sign from above that was telling me "EAT HERE". Lol Looking around the menu it was a little pricey; however, I was hungry, and I wasn't in the mood to have any chain food delivered. The menu was pretty extensive though. Pizza, pastas, calzones, strombolis, gyros, even baklava and cheesecake. I was impressed. I finally decided on the deluxe stromboli and a side of pizza fries, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The portions were huge (they better have been for what I paid) lol. I had enough food for lunch and dinner. There was a generous amount of perfectly seasoned meat and gooey mozzarella nside the stomboli; it wasn't mostly bread, which I've expierenced at other Italian restaurants. Oh, and the marinara dipping sauce had an interesting sweet kick to it which pretty tasty. The pizza fries also had a generous amount of mozzarella and marinara. The taste actually resembled that of eggplant parmesan, I definitely recommend them as a side dish. The delivery driver was also pretty nice. All in all Antonio's aimed to please with their extensive menu and flavorful food. More people should know about this place and I can't wait to order from here again.

I came here because of a grubhub deal, and I was glad I did... because I would not have wanted to pay full price. We ordered a 16 inch Gourmet Margherita pizza, and I have to say it was one of the least flavorful pizzas I've ever had. It had broccoli on it, which was strange to me, but it is on the menu so I can't complain about what I know I ordered. But when I took a bite of the pizza- I tasted almost nothing (except the strong smell of broccoli). The cheese was extremely bland, the crust had no flavor (even though it was cooked well), and I ended up stopping after 1 slice. Was so disappointed. It really seemed like someone forgot to add the seasoning, the garlic, or something! So, when I finally decided to heat up a leftover slice, I added some garlic salt and it really pepped up a lot. When I ordered, it was pretty simple and no mistakes were made. The staff was friendly enough when I walked in, but as I did I noticed there was no other customers there (around 5-6pm), which is always a little unsettling to me. Anyway, I'm just glad I had the coupon deal. And even though it was barely worth the 7$ I paid for it, I'm starting to wonder if I just got a bad pizza based on the previous reviews... Ah, I'm not sticking around to find out, either way.

This place is really good! The pizza tastes great and the Stromboli's are terrific! The Stromboli's are a bit greasy but definitely worth it if you're in the mood. The pizza crust can sometimes have a lot of flour along the sides of the crust but overall really awesome. I only wish they were a bit cheaper than some of the other pizza places. But otherwise, a good choice.

Yummmmm! Delivered on time. Food was screaming hot still! Delish chicken fettuccine. Huge portion! Came with salad and garlic bread. Enough for at least a couple of people. Glad I tried it! I will order again! And delivery guy was very nice.

the restaurant itself looked like a run down chucky cheese, it looked very unpleasant. the food was gross, i got the baked ziti which was just over cooked ziti pasta with pasta sauce no way baked with anything else that baked ziti is supposed to be and reheated pizza (degiorno's or little Caesar's is way better). it seems like they made the food earlier in the day and reheated it once the food is ordered.

We've given this chance a few of tries since we like 3 mins away. Yesterday I got upset because we ordered fried calamari and it was spoiled. I only tried one and threw out the rest. The calamari was extremely fishy, meaning that I wasn't fresh. Good fresh calamari shouldn't have that smell... it is disappointing that a small business would jeopardize its customers getting sick in order to be cheap...

The food was fine, probably not great since it took about 2 hours to be delivered. We ordered at 12:04pm, the food was supposed to arrive by 1. 1:15, still no food, so I called in. The person who answered the phone was very nice, and called the driver, who said he was less than 5 minutes away. 40 minutes later, still not there. I called back, she called him and he said he was walking up to the house. I sat out front waiting for him with her on the phone, but he was nowhere to be found. A few minutes later, around 2, he saunters over with the food. No hello, no apologies for being an hour late- he even seemed annoyed that he had to be there. Ugh. When we finally opened up the containers, the food was pretty cold because it had obviously been sitting for so long. Not sure if the food is better for dine-in, but I won't be ordering from them again.

I've ordered from Antonio's for delivery through grub hub and my two favorite staples for my cheat day meals are he buffalo chicken tenders with blue cheese sauce on the side and the 12inch roast beef sub sans the onions. I thoroughly love both items and have ordered them more tunes than I care to admit.

Ordered a classic Stromboli and meat Stromboli through Slice. The order was delivered in a timely manner and nice and hot. I thought they had delivered a pizza, called, they contacted driver but ,no, the order was correct. So much for not wearing my glasses and they were very nice about it even though I was wrong. The food, delicious. We ate the classic that night. Stuffed full of perfectly cooked ingredients that were very flavorful. The marinara for dipping also had a really good flavor. The next day we air fried the second Stromboli and it was just as stuffed and delicious. We moved to Norfolk about a year ago and have been trying the Italian restaurants but now I think we have a winner. The pictures posted by other diners will have us ordering a more diverse menu. The meat sauce looks like this NY/NJ grandma's. Thanks Antonio's for two stellar meals.

Delicious!!!!! This is the hubby and my new favorite pizza place. We literally live behind it and I'm shocked it took us 6 months to try it. We ordered the large pizza with pepperoni and garlic. The flavors melted away in our mouths. We just couldn't get enough of it. The interior blew me away since the exterior made it look like it would be a small place but I think that's because of the Chinese restaurant next to it. There's lots of seating and a couple arcade games. The staff is super friendly as well. The only downfall I see is that it's a bit pricy. I wish the prices would drop a bit.

Have yet to find a better NY/NJ style pizza in the area. Always thin, well done pizza.

I went to this spot to grab some lunch since I was in the area. I figured I couldn't go wrong with an Italian sub so I ordered that with onion rings. The cashier was nice and helpful. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant at the time and my food didn't take long to make. It was okay at best. I was looking for more of a grinder style as I asked for it to be toasted.

I guess I should take a ride down Little Creek Rd more often because I found a new pizza place today. I wouldn't call them totally new as Antonio's has been open around 8 or 9 months based on the reviews, however it's new to me as this location used to be a Sal's Pizza previously. We walked in around 4pm which is a bit late for lunch, however it's a little early for dinner. What do you call that? Linner? Dunch? I dunno, but I was starving and far as I was concerned you could call breakfast. There were 4 pizza sizes on the menu, small 12", medium 14", large 16" and extra large "18. We decided to go with the 16" meat lovers pie. As we were the only customers in the joint because of the time of day we unrestricted service from the staff. Drinks stayed full and the pizza appeared on our table in no time at all. The meat lovers here includes the following toppings. Pepperoni, Sausage, Ham & Meatballs (sliced). It was an excellent pie, fresh dough, quality meat toppings and cheese blend with a very healthy proportion of toppings. On a personal note I thought the pie was a skosh under cooked due to the amount of toppings. However it wasn't a deal breaker at all just a personal preference. All said the price came out to $22 with drinks. Not bad at all. They also have the full Italian menu available as well whether you want a more Bianca style pie, Cheese Steaks, Hoagies, Pasta, Calzones, Stromboli's, Lunch Specials, etc. I also grabbed a carry out menu which had some coupons in it which will be good for the next visit or carry out.

A slow decline from 5 stars to no stars. (I had to pick one star to write this review) the woman on the phone wouldn't change my order. She said she couldn't bc the manager wasn't there... Um wtf? She is the one who typed it incorrectly. She fought with me about the size I ordered. I ordered a large per the menu I am looking at. Which, is a 12" pizza. Not my flipping fault it doesn't say small. She just kept saying I can't change your order. Omfg. I'm so annoyed! Totally rude!

Friday pizza night for the kids now that school has started has become a ritual. We try to circle our choices but we keep coming back here. I love being able to order from the Yelp app and choose to pay the driver in cash, comes in handy when you're splitting the bill. You're given a delivery time frame and so far they have always met it! XL pepperoni easily feeds 3 hungry boys amd the L deluxe makes us adults happy. NEW YORK STYLE BABY! Ordered a Greek but received a side. Quick phone call and the manager quickly had another one delivered to us. No issues at all and was amazingly nice! Fridays can be hectic so we understood the mix up and were glad to have it so easily fixed. My only issue is the olives aren't pitted. Not fun to find out and a pain to eat having to spit out the pits. PLEASE GET PITTED OLIVES!! Truly has become our regular pizza place, they are always so consistent on what they deliver. Perfectly baked, all the toppings stay on, and nice and hot on delivery. Looking forward to Friday and no cooking!

I'm giving them 5 stars not only for the food, but for the SERVICE! :) I always order them through GrubHub because that's where I first ordered them through. I literally just got my food and am writing this review before I've even eaten, so you know I was impressed cause I'm super hungry. So I order and within a minute they call just to confirm & verify my order. I can't think of any other online delivery that has done that for me, consistently!!! They do it every time. I asked if they could make my stuffed shells with meat sauce in the comments and they told me on the phone yes, for an additional charge, so because I ordered dessert too I bypassed the extras. She notified me they were out of tiramisu and listed the other options - I really had my heart set on tiramisu so I declined the offer and she assured me the cost would be refunded. It was refunded within minutes. Delivery was fast, so I don't know why people complain that they aren't. Grubhub estimated like a 1 1/2 hour wait and it got to me within 40 minutes. Any delivery place is going to be slammed with dinner orders after 5pm, so it's best to order early in general. Heather, the delivery driver, was amazing - she always is. The most cheerful attitude EVER. I love her. The food - stuffed shells, with meat sauceee! They were so kind to make it that way without the extra charge. Things like that will keep a local business successful, and reviews like this flowing in. It also came with a pretty large "side" salad and a huge piece of garlic bread - fresh garlic bread at that. In all honesty though, I prefer the stuffed shells from another place in VA Beach, same quantity and presentation, but the sauce at the other place is stellar, but I wanted to give Antonio's a shot - good, but I'll probably stick to the pizza! Overall, another happy order from Antonio's!

I'm upset , cause I was really wanting a Hawaiian pizza with the peppers . I used DoorDash , so you know it was even more expensive, didn't know they delivered ! But I do now , anyways y'all this pizza was not it . Called the store & they had amazing customer service , & I can't wait to finally eat the pizza . Overall I would give them a second chance but for now I'm going to cry until the new gets here

Great Greek Salad- Lots of Feta! I got Senior- size Spaghetti, a 2-Liter Pepsi, and love the no-contact delivery...

Got the family value meal and between 4 adults and 3 kids, we crushed it. Only a couple slices left. Soo good. Will definitely be coming back!

Lasagna is pretty good and the pizza is all good. Of the places near here this is the one to go to. Nothing special just good food.

Very dissatisfied with my order.. I ordered a meat ziti but came with no meat but the iceing on the cake was the salad that came with it... It looked sick to the point it was disrespectful... Wish I could share the pictures but I can't figure how to upload them. P.s My garlic bread looked like it got wacked by the Italian mafia before they put it in my bag... Sadly it was the best part of the meal..

The food was really good! The portions are insane for the price which is fantastic. My husband and I ordered 2 strombolis, a Caesar salad, and fries and it was enough to feed 5 people. The delivery did take a little longer than they estimated but thats to be expected on a Friday night. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were random pineapples on my Stromboli. I looked back at my order and didn't add them so picking them out was a pain. But other than that everything was great! Will order again!

pizza was as bad as a 711. called them and told them that. it had no sauce no grease no crust bending over. it was awful. one bite and threw it away. awful.

Our favorite pizza delivery restaurant. We tried restaurant after restaurant when we moved here but couldn't find a good, New York style crust with a robust sauce and great selection of toppings. We finally found what we were looking for with Antonio's. Antonio's is now our go-to pizza restaurant. We hope to try their other menu items as soon as we stop craving the pizza!
