The 14 Best Restaurants In Cabo San Lucas & San Jose Del Cabo - Cabo - The Infatuation

"In case you forget you’re in paradise, Monalisa’s view of the Sea of Cortez will jolt you back to that reality. This is a popular spot for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, and any other day that requires sunset backdrops. But it’s not just a trap for photos—the Mediterranean menu is stacked with octopus and scallops that were only swimming very recently, a wide selection of vegetarian options, and a fantastic truffle fettuccine." - nili blanck

"Sunset Monalisa is one of the most romantic restaurants in the world. Its views of Cabo San Lucas Bay and the arch at Land’s End are spectacular any time of day but particularly at sunset, when the sky turns vibrant shades of red, yellow, and purple. Love is definitely in the air here: Servers report at least one engagement per week, and it’s a favorite wedding venue. The multitiered cliffside restaurant features a Taittinger Terrace Oyster and Champagne Bar, as well as an exceptional Mediterranean menu from chef Paolo della Corte, who trained in Michelin-starred kitchens. Navigate the à la carte options independently or opt for the prix fixe or tasting menus."

Sunset Monalisa truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most unforgettable dining experiences in Cabo. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was magical — the view overlooking the ocean at sunset is absolutely breathtaking, like a movie scene. It’s one of those places where you can’t help but pause and just take in the moment. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive. Our server made us feel genuinely welcomed and checked in at all the right times without being intrusive. You can tell the team here takes pride in creating a special experience for every guest. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Every dish felt refined but not pretentious, and the pacing of the meal was perfect — enough time to enjoy the view and the ambience without ever feeling rushed. If you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want a memorable night out, Sunset Monalisa is absolutely worth it. The combination of the view, the atmosphere, the service, and the food makes it one of the best dining destinations in Cabo. Highly recommended.

This place offers stunning view of the Pacific Ocean along with the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. The arch is a bit far out but definitely visible when the weather condition is good. We made reservation with the premium seating and received a table right next to the edge without any other table between us and the view. It was truly amazing. The service was good too as one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food is more subjective. I think the food was fine, not bad nor amazing but fine. We had the 3 course tasting menu with another 6 course tasting menu. Most of the dishes were fine but the grilled octopus was disappointing. It was rather bland without much of char taste. Overall I think it is still worth a visit for the view.

The atmosphere is quite incredible. We saw a beautiful sunset while we sat at our table. A live band was playing and it fit the mood. I give the 5 stars to service and ambiance. I gave 4 stars due to my husband who had ordered the 6 course meal. The octopus was overcooked which made it very very tough and the last course was a filet, but maybe not the best cut. The waiter was very understanding and rectified the problem with a substantial discount. My meal was superb. I had a three-course meal oysters, sea bass, and a chocolate mouse with hazelnuts. It was excellent!! We will come back and would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Unfortunately, you are very much paying for the view with this restaurant- which is incredible for sure. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, with gorgeous live music and a beautiful tiered balcony overlooking the ocean and arch. Doesn’t get much better than that. But the food has much to be desired- we did the 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. The first couple of courses were ok- although they served the ceviche on a bed of salt (for presentation purposes), but is not practical for eating purposes as multiple of us dropped our bite into the salt, which ended in a very salty bite of ceviche. The fish dish, truffle fettuccini and dessert were very good. The steak, octopus and lobster were all incredibly tough and overcooked, and most of us could barely finish them. I will say the portions are quite large for a tasting menu, so will give points for that. The wine pairing was also mediocre, with none of the wines really pairing all that well. We would have preferred to just get a couple of bottles among the 6 of us, but the bottles were incredibly over priced for the quality of wine. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place unless you want an overpriced meal in a very beautiful location.

This restaurant has one of the best views in Cabo Sa Lucas. Many courses to choose from. It has a large cocktail and wine list. Food was fantastic. Food choices are somewhat limited to course selection. You must prepay for a good table and the sunset time. I recommend booking five to six weeks ahead of time.

This restaurant blew us away! The views are absolutely stunning – you’re treated to a breathtaking panoramic view. With the sunset, it just elevates the entire dining experience. The food is simply exquisite. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and presented beautifully. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. Would have loved to try every item on the menu! The set menu/ degustation menu was perfect. What truly made the night unforgettable was the service. The staff (I think we had Oliver that evening) were warm, attentive, and professional. They made sure we felt taken care of the entire time, and even went the extra mile to accommodate our dietary preferences. Definitely a must in Cabo. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience. We cant wait to come back!

Service was 10/10 Everyone was great and made sure our experience was excellent. Atmosphere and the views were 10/10 Just WOW🔥 No words, it is a must to visit here, once Food was 6/10 For the amount of money you pay*, it is average. To be clear, the food is fine, but not for what they charge. Overall - If you are in Cabo - You should visit here!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Experience – A Must-Visit! This place exceeded every expectation truly one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, with a perfect balance of casual charm and refined elegance. The sunset views were absolutely phenomenal ,the kind that stop you in your tracks and make you appreciate the moment. Watching the sky turn into a canvas of gold, pink, and deep orange while enjoying a beautifully crafted meal felt surreal. If you’re a sunset lover, this is the spot. Time your visit right, and you’ll be treated to a natural spectacle that’s worth the trip on its own. But it wasn't just the view, the food was exceptional. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. From starters to dessert, it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in both the quality and creativity of the menu. You can taste the passion behind each plate. And then there’s the service, absolutely top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, striking that perfect balance of being present without ever feeling intrusive. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and ensured everything about our visit ran smoothly. In short, this place delivers the full package: stunning views, exquisite food, and outstanding service. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself to a memorable evening, don’t think twice, you won’t be disappointed.
