I found this place from an online search for caldo (mexican soup) because I was feeling under the weather. This place prides itself on caldo de pollo, so I wanted to give it a try. The building itself is fairly unassuming - when I walked in the atmosphere was incredibly authentic. There were beautiful colorful paintings and decorations along the walls.
I called in the order to go because I didnt want to get anyone sick, and the lady who answered my call was the one to check me out at the register when my food was ready. Fast and kindly service.
When I got home, I opened up the soup and started to eat. The stock was really good, and there were big chunks of chicken. This is where I was disappointed- there was no chayote, carrot, corn, zucchini or potato. ONLY chicken, rice, three slices of avocado, onions and cilantro. It was quite empty as far as the usual caldo that I'm accustomed to. It still tasted good, but I thought that it needed a little more sustenance instead of being just mostly broth. Granted I didn't order any other item, so I can only review based on the soup - if I order more, I'll update the review. But for now, I unfortunately won't be ordering the soup again.
