I didn’t realise that Turks Head Wapping, known as a French bistro for dinner, also has a boulangerie on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
They don’t offer a huge variety, but everything is incredibly fresh. Last weekend I had a plain croissant and a chocolate croissant, and they were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had — buttery, flaky and tasting just like proper French croissants.
For under £6, the quality is outstanding. In high-end supermarkets like Waitrose or Marks & Spencer, you’d pay similar prices for something frozen and pre-baked. These were clearly freshly made and far superior.
The space itself is beautiful, and after enjoying the boulangerie so much, I’m really looking forward to coming back for dinner. Highly recommended
