Great food! We came here for my grandma's birthday breakfast and it was delicious! She was able to make a reservation for the 5 of us which I was really surprised by, but very thankful for. I got the french toast, so good and lots of food! It was 3 thick slices of bread so I definitely didn't eat it all. All of the portions were very big and reasonably priced. For as long as this place has been here, I'm shocked this was my first time. The service we received was also great! Really quick and very nice. I loved every element of our breakfast here and would love to come back and try their other options. There were quite a few things I was torn between!

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent from start to finish. Special thanks to the hostess for her warm attitude. The portions were generous and easily enough for more than two people. The overall atmosphere was lively and full of that classic busy American restaurant vibe. Highly recommend!

Google
My first time there. The waitstaff was excellent and the German pancake with strawberries and cream was a religious experience. Outstanding food.

Google
Service was great and staff was very friendly. Food was mediocre, not terrible. Please stop using styrofoam for to go containers and most of all for to go coffee. It's bad enough for the environment but to put hot coffee in it will break it down and then we get to drink it. I walked out and tossed mine in the trash 😬

1st off we decided to come to this place due to the fact that Ms kim had amazing responses to the reviews that needed to be addressed. My wife and I read all the reviews and responses for about 3hrs across the street from the pancake house laughing and enjoying the responses. When we decided to come we had Brian as our server he was amazing friendly and most of all helpful. He answered all of our questions and concerns. We ordered banana pancakes and French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Drinks were oj, milk and water. The food was definitely the hype that was given through many of Kim's responses we were pleased with every bite and even took bites of each other's plate. My wife says "10 out of 10. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND". we will definitely be back hopefully we can meet ms kim. The manager Alexis was amazing and friendly although you can see she works and can multi task. We spoke with her before we left and the entire time we sat there all staff that was there showed a good customer service side even if they didn't serve you. THANK YOU MS KIM FOR ALL THE RESPONSES WHICH HELPED US TO BECOME RETURNING LOYAL CUSTOMERS. 💯🥰💙🙏🏼

Google
Always excellent. Make a reservation for no to very short wait time or go early and get your day started with a great staff and delicious food. Delicious whipped cream and strawberries when in season. Edit Aug 28- excellent service and breakfast. I brought my own Maple butter to try and it was delicious. Edit Nov 3. Wonderful bacon waffle with an order of 1 egg. Quiet morning and fast service.

Yelp
So after our last visit in April I decided to give this place another try. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance! Jeremy was our waiter today and we stopped by for my birthday weekend. My Strawberry pancakes were on point! The cream was freshly made, when ykyk if you had it here before. My son asked to come back as well, as it is his favorite pancake spot as well and he is 10 so that tells a lot about a place like this. I am a pancake lover and I am in love with their thick, fluffy cakes. Breakfast done right!!

Yelp
Great ambiance and amazing staff! Food was delicious! The 4 egg omelette was huge and pancakes were delicious! They have a smaller senior's option for those with a smaller appetite. Only down side were the eggs. Asked for over-medium to ensure whites are cooked and they came with raw runny whites. Yech!! Waitress did return with eggs cooked correctly! Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Yo! How was this my first time here! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I loved loved loved their german potatoes!! They were cooked perfectly! Our host was very funny and awesome! What I could not believe is that our food came out 5 minutes after we ordered! I was in shock. The food came out so fast but it all tasted so great! It really is worth leaving the strip to find better places to eat...especially for breakfast!

Yelp
It's a great place to go for a hearty breakfast. The pancakes are huge, but in my opinion, it wasn't as fluffy as I wanted. I also had a side of bacon along with the pancake. It was four pieces and they were crispy burnt. My coffee was amazing. It was a nice rich dark roast. It was served in a cute cup that they do sell at the counter for $25. Overall, this place was nice, service was awesome and the food was good.

Yelp
The best German Pancake I've ever had was actually during a trip to Seattle years ago and I've been lowkey chasing that flavor ever since. I'm glad I decided to give The Original Pancake House a try because this one brought back all the delicious memories! It came out fresh, puffed up and golden with perfectly crispy edges and a soft, custardy center. Absolute perfection. They serve it with lemon wedges, powdered sugar and whipped butter on the side so you can customize it just how you like. The service was warm and friendly-- no long wait and everyone was super attentive without being overbearing. The vibe of the place is cozy and classic-- feels like a legit breakfast spot where you can chill and enjoy your meal without all the chaos. If you're in Vegas and craving a solid breakfast-- especially a German Pancake that lives up to the hype, this place is it. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
First time here. Went with some friends. Was 11 of us. Was seated right away by the friendly staff. From start to finish the service was great. Brian was our server. He took all our orders without writing anything down and got every order correct with 0 issues. I had the ham omelette with cheese and 3 pancakes and everything was so good. The table had so many different items and everyone ate everything. Tons of parking and was very clean inside. Looks forward to trying the French Toast next time.

Yelp
Good ambience, service was awesome and fast. Western and Denver omelette came out hot and fresh. Came at a good time on an early Sunday morning well before the rush, so it was nice and quiet. We were able to take our time and enjoy our food. Cashier was friendly upon checkout. The only thing that needs improvement is the service while leaving. The manager on duty was rude not only to her employees but to myself. I turned around after paying and she almost knocked me over while rudely talking/coaching her front staff. Very inappropriate for a manager should be done away from front of house or in a lower tone. I said 3 times have a good day before walking out the door was not acknowledged and when I said it the final time she said oh yeah you too. She was wearing black leggings ,light maybe tan sweater dark hair, larger lips. This manager definitely needs some retraining on customer service and training on how to talk and speak to their employees appropriately. I will return hoping to get the same server and good tasting food. But my star level is at 4 because of the poor management to customers and employees.

One of the best pancakes in town and i really appreciate the service very professional and old school vibe

Yelp
We love this place! Lines can get a little long on weekends but on weekdays you can usually walk right in. Don't sleep on the apple pancake. It is so worth the weight and the calories haha.

Yelp
Undeniably a chain, with 1953 origins in Portland OR and the famous Walker Bros location in Wilmette IL, Las Vegas' The Original Pancake House has been owned and operated by Kim and Stephan Freudenberger since 1995. Created by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, over 120 Restaurans from coast-to-coast making their name with high-quality Butter, pure Whipping Cream and grade AA eggs, it is from 7am until 2pm that guests can usually expect a brief wait to be seated amidst homey confines featuring smiling service. Not just Pancakes, the cost of Eggs recently raising prices for baked Omelettes and plates like "The Traditional" served with Potatoes and Meat, Coffee is freely-refillable and pretty basic for $4.99 while additional beverages include Coke products and freshly squeezed Orange or Grapefruit Juice. A Beard Award winning concept, Vegas' only location since a store on Charleston burned down in 2012, fans of The Original Pancake House will assuredly recognize both a German Pancake and the smaller Dutch Baby offered with DIY Glaze and a generous rise surrounding the Souffle center. Opting to also share Bacon, a fluffy Buttermilk Short Stack and crispy Potato Pancakes cooked like a "Smash Burger" online reservations circumvented a wait thus allowing plenty of time to enjoy the signature "Apple Pancake," a piping hot pile of thinly sliced Granny Smiths teaming with Cinnamon and Sugar atop a buttery golden base proving as much "Pie" as Pancake.

Yelp
This place was amazing! I went here over the weekend with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised! We were able to walk right in and sit down immediately on a Saturday morning. Our server, Edgar, was amazing. He was so prompt and attentive. Our food only took about 5-7 minutes to come out- it was so quick! I was seriously impressed. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the corn beef hash (which is homemade) and a side of strawberry pancakes. The pancakes were probably the best I've ever had- light, Fluffy, and flavorful, but also not too sweet. The only negative is that the coffee was burnt, so that was kind of a bummer. Can't wait to go back and try more pancakes off their menu.

Yelp
Food is simply amazing. Best iced coffee I have ever had. Best German Pancake ever. Amazing waitress. I give it 5/5. Enjoy.

Yelp
My husband and I ate brunch at The Original Pancake House on Saturday. It was our first time there. There was a small wait when we checked in at the podium. It wasn't a long wait before we were seated in a booth. My husband ordered a diet soda and I asked for coffee with creamer. Upon perusing their wide variety of meals on the menu; I chose a banana crepe with a side of scrambled eggs and my husband ordered two fried eggs, bacon and white toast. We enjoyed our breakfast. It was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy. My crepe was sweet and filling. I recommend dining here if you are looking for a good breakfast or lunch place. It's worth trying and we will return in the future.

Yelp
This place isn't really for me. Customer service was just fine. The gentleman that served us did a fine job. So I cannot say anything negative on that end. However, the food is lackluster. My mom loves this place because she loves a Dutch baby. I, however, don't care for pancakes in the least and ordered a BLT. I'd imagine, like any other BLT I've ever ordered anywhere in the city, it would come with at least mayo on it. Nope. DRY. Nothing. The fries had no seasoning but were fresh and hot so I will give them that. To me, since I live on the other side of town, this isn't a place I'd go out of my way to eat it. There's so many better breakfast spots in town. EDIT: Kim, with your attitude the way you respond to people you will continue to alienate people from your business. I've read your other responses. Take the feedback. Not to mention I'm NOT a senior. And I don't care how they order their BLTs. I simply stated this place wasn't for me. And truth be told your attitude for customer service is something to be said for. No wonder this place wasn't jammed packed like so many other great breakfast places in town. Management attitude tells it all. I'll be sure to continue to tell people to skip this place! And downgrade you to a 1 star for your snarky reply. Let me add this isn't my mother's favorite restaurant either. She just enjoys your crappy Dutch babies EDIT 2: Kim continues to show her a$$ to be the jerk she is and not taking constructive criticism. What a poor excuse for an owner. To treat anyone who has something to say about improving their experience you brush them off. You've done it to countless people. Your business is a bully and you can't be too successful considering you were NOT packed at PEAK breakfast hours. What a joke the way you respond to people. I should report your business for absolute harassment. Take the constructive criticism like I said Kim. Or you'll continue to run your business in the ground. Continue to show people how horrible you are as an owner by the way you respond. People do read these and will see how you've treated anyone with a grip. Have the day you deserve

Yelp
My Favorite place for Breakfast!!!!! Excellent service ALWAYS. Super friendly and efficient. Amazing food. My favorite is the Dutch baby German pancake and the crepes, and eggs Benedict! They're apparently celebrating 30 years in business, and going strong. My server today was "Diego", and I loved him. Please stay open for another 30 years. Love you guys!

Yelp
Had to try a new place for breakfast and stumbled upon OPH. First, my husband and I are not pancake fans but knew they would have other options that would satisfy us. Second, and yes, they did. We were seated immediately and our drink orders taken quickly. The service was good, not great as we had to ask for refills but in all fairness, our server's area became quite busy as we waited for our food. Husband ordered the corned beef hash with potato pancakes. After one bite, he says, "oh, we'll be back." The portion was very generous. I ordered the spinach omelet which I have never had one baked before. It was delicious. The spinach was fresh, and the omelet was nice and fluffy. After seeing the various pancakes that were offered and served, I may . . . have to give them a try on our next visit. Even for not being a pancake fan, they looked fantastic. My only annoyance? A slight charge for using a credit card. There is a cash price and a credit card price. Who carries cash anymore? While we ordered two breakfasts, coffee and an iced tea, this was not a cheap meal. This is a sign of our times. Happy holidays to the staff at OPH and thank you for a delicious meal.

Yelp
We've been eating here for years breakfast every Sunday with my husband and granddaughter the service is always great no problem. But this Sunday the waiter was so long and he was just passing by us not saying anything it took him a long time to take our order. He took orders to other tables that came after us. Our order came one by one and lastly our omelette was like rubbery and we have to take our orders home it's was taking so long to get it fix. Our waiter name is Diego. Not a happy customer
google avatar

Rudy M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for quite some time, well today I did and let me tell you I was not disappointed at all. first of all, Kim was gracious enough to give me a booth seat, which I really appreciate, especially knowing how busy Sunday mornings can be. And my server Mary was excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me with the menu choices. I love the ambience very clean very elegant with comfortable seating. So I decided to order a cherry crêpes which were absolutely amazing!!!!, a side of scrambled eggs and a side of German hashbrowns which were both delicious! The coffee was fresh , hot and very good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was phenomenal!! I will definitely be revisiting this establishment soon!!!

Yelp
We went here for breakfast on Saturday morning. They open at 7am and we arrived right around 7:30am. We were greeted and seated promptly. Brian our server was friendly and took our order right away. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options but I knew pretty much right away that I wanted to try their famous Apple Pancake. I also ordered a side of two eggs scrambled and coffee. Everything inside is clean, albeit a bit dated on decor but no complaints. The restroom was clean and well stocked with soap and paper towels too. The menu says to allow 18 minutes for Apple Pancakes but our order arrived much sooner than that, presumably because we arrived before it got busy. The pancake is massive, dense, and delicious. It has a cinnamon sugar glaze on top and is very rich. It felt more like a dessert than breakfast but I knew what I ordered. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the coffee was great too. I ate as much as I could and still took half of the pancake home. I'll certainly be back since they had several other breakfast options I would like to try. I would absolutely recommend giving this location a try.

Vincent M.

Yelp
First time trying the Original Pancake House and we are sold! This will be our breakfast go to spot because they were quick, the menu is simple yet offers a variety of options, and the staff was so kind. They even correct my order with no problem at all. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes but got regular pancakes. I would've been happy with the regular ones after trying them because they were SO good already but after the manager insisted I tried the chocolate chip pancakes I'm glad I did because they were EVEN better! I was very happy to have tried this place we will be back!

Yelp
HORRIBLE experience here over breakfast one morning. It was so deplorable that we will never visit here again! Firstly, the female server forgot to put my son's order in first, after i specifically asked her to do so. My toddler was starving after his soccer game. We wanted him to enjoy breakfast, while my hubby & I take our time to read the menu. Our server apologized & alleged that the kitchen would put a rush on the kids banana pancake order. Secondly, I ordered one of the most common breakfast items for myself, which was apple cinnamon waffle. When the waffle came out, it was underdone with disgusting watery apple cinnamon "sauce" sloppily thrown all over the waffle. The diced apples were undercooked as well. Immensely disappointed to say the least! The waffle was so gross that I sent it back. The server insisted on remaking it, to which I declined & decided to consume some of my son's pancake (it was a huge portion for a kids item). Talk about "when it rains, it pours" situation! One of the pancakes was NOT cooked through, the wet batter was very conspicuous! My husband & I told the manager, who apologized & asked the kitchen to remake it. I AGAIN tried to decline, but they insisted.. At this point, I completely lost my appetite, so did my husband. My hubby walked up to the cashier & wanted to pay for the adjusted check, in which the server forgot to take off one of the items. While my husband was waiting for them to fix the check, the kitchen manager was there & was defensive by saying that the waffle wasn't undercooked. REALLY??!!! How dare she try to argue with a customer & tried to be deceitful!

Yelp
What were the chances of having my same waitress?! Marisa, you were great as usual and congratulations on your bundle of joy! The food was amazing as always! I scarfed it down so fast that I forgot to take a picture. The ambiance was nice and chill. Thanks for being great!

Yelp
Just love this place. Their German baby pancake is worth the 60 mile drive i take to get here

Fausto G.

Yelp
Really amazing service. They accommodated my large party with no hesitation and gave us a great experience. Best way to end my Vegas trip. Thank you to Jeremy our waiter and the owner Kim. Highly recommend the bacon omelette with their homemade salsa! 10/10

Jovy S.

Yelp
So I am being nice because the original pancake house has a positive place in my heart for breakfast, but the fact that they added a to go fee does not make any sense. But today I got the Dutch baby because I was craving something crispy and Gooey at the same time I did add whip, cream and syrup just in case I want to switch up the flavors because my usual, go to choice is the 49ers pancake. The younger hostess in the front was amazing She gave great customer service! The diner itself is just how I imagine it gave it a homey vibe, classic! First bite was amazing. The only con I have with it. It needs to be eaten fresh. They also forgot the powdered sugar and lemon but it's alright, otherwise amazing specialty pancake. Just note it is more on the egg custard side. For anyone who wants a classic breakfast, check it out

China C.

Yelp
Staff is so personable as is the owner Kim!!! I grew up on this restaurant in Chicago and it's just like home. This will definitely be on my favorite breakfast spots.#DutchBaby let's gooooooo !!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Family friendly breakfast spot and spacious. Went here before church and after reading reviews, thought we had to try too and it was on the way. The Dutch baby pancake was our fave, you have to try it! The rest of our entrees was ok. Service was excellent.

Yelp
I always enjoy The Original Pancake House. Their food is very creative and the portions are generous. You can take your remainders home and enjoy them for breakfast the next day too I had the Spinach Omelette. I love that they bake the omelette. It was moist and tasty. I am usually a big fan of their pancakes (which is what I always look forward to) yet on this visit the pancakes were not thin and tasty like I like them they were thick and dry. The service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and quick to remove plates so that we did not have empty plates or trash on the table after we had eaten and our coffee cups were never empty. The restaurant was very clean, bright and welcoming . The restroom was clean and in good repair. I would recommend this restaurant.

Deadra T.

Yelp
Great great place for breakfast! The food was good, the service was great, the ambience filled with the aroma of pancakes and syrup. We had the buttermilk pancakes and eggs over medium with sausage and bacon and the German hashbrowns. Julie was our server and she was the best! She was able to anticipate and comply with our needs without us even having to ask. You don't find service like this much anymore, rare and few, so we appreciated it. Friendly, sweet and memorable experience. We will definitely be back when in Vegas. Outside of the strip but worth it! Good prices, good food and great service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wow, I feel very yucky after having visited here today. I've been coming here nearly my entire adult life. How long's this place been here? 20+ years? Well that's how long I've been coming. The potato pancakes are my favorite and you can't find them anywhere else like here. So I brought my mom today for lunch. I also have a service animal (dog). His name is Chaga. We sit down and the waitress asks if he's a service animal. I say yes and she says ok he can't be on the booth. Ok, he's not, but noted. Then 5 min later, the owner comes from the back and says, oh he slipped by. I said, no the waitress asked us about him. The owner said, I don't care. (Just ready to fight.) Is he a service animal? Yes, he's a psychiatric service animal. Emotional support? No. What's his job? Tactile touch for grounding. Well emotional support animals aren't allowed here. He's a psychiatric SERVICE animal. Ok, we'll make sure he stays under control! And then turns away disgruntled. (There are times when I experience extreme anxiety. It's 100% within my lawful right to have a psychiatric service animal for grounding me in those moments.) Very cold, no hi. No welcome. Just plain rude and with energy like, oooh I just hope he gives me the wrong answer so I can kick them out. And a clear pre-conceived notion that I'm probably lying. Looking back, the energy from our waitress felt like she was sick of the owner's bologna too. Cause right when we sat down, we were like she seems in a bad mood. But who wouldn't be under tyranny? So we order and our food comes. Maybe about 2 minutes in to taking our first bites the owner comes out of the back and says if you can't keep your dog under control you have to leave! I was legit shocked, like excuse me, what are you talking about? She says, he needs to be under the table at all times!! I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOU ON CAMERA THIS WHOLE TIME. Ok, let me explain what was really happening. Chaga was within a 1.5 foot radius next to our booth the entire time. He maybe repositioned once or twice in between lying down, and at one point he was maybe laying 1.5 feet away from our booth with the leash a little taught. Not blocking the walkway but a little out, nothing crazy. Then he put his front paws on the booth while his back paws were still on the ground and I started giving him a back scratch. (He's a short lil 12 pound dachshund poodle mix.) I was kind of doing this on autopilot as I was talking, not thinking much of it because he was being good. That's when the owner came out and scolded me because his front paws were on the booth. She was watching me like a hawk on camera I guess, just waiting for me to make a wrong move. How unsettling. (I feel bad for her employees, imagine how she must watch them on camera.) She said, he can't be begging and has to be under the table at all times!! And then proceeded to kick us out, causing a huge scene in front of the whole restaurant. Wasting a whole table of food and screwing her waitress out of a tip. In reality, Chaga wasn't begging at all, he just had his front paws up as I was scratching his back and he was sitting *next* to our table, not *under* the table. And he was actually sitting under the table between my feet maybe half the time. He wasn't disrupting any other customers and he didn't make a peep. The owner just seemed psycho and totally unreasonable about it. A great shame, she'll probably be able to ride out her downfall a little longer because she owns a breakfast institution and can afford to be rude to customers. But we'll see how long it lasts. It really makes me sad because I didn't even get to eat one bite of my darn potato pancakes!! Ughhh. Legit the meanest restaurant owner I've ever met. Edit: Zero integrity from this owner. She is lying through her teeth. Refused all requests to control him? NO ONE SAID ONE THING to me about him the entire time I was seated. NOT ONCE. Except the waitress and owner initially asking about him being a service animal. Honest to God's truth. Saying he was begging at other tables - complete lie! Sniffing other tables food? That doesn't even sound possible. I hope her employees are reading this so they know how phony she is. Like I said, the worst was he was maybe lying 1.5 feet away from the table with the leash a little taught. And then I walked back in and recorded a 1.5 min video completely by myself, didn't say one word to anyone else and then left. I've now included that video as proof. Tell me if I was screaming and making a scene. Just because I've been coming for 20+ years doesn't mean I have to be a regular and the waitstaff knows me. I only come when I have cravings for potato pancakes, which happened to be today. POST RECEIPTS OR IT NEVER HAPPENED. I would love for you to post the surveillance tape you were watching. Let the people decide! If I'm wrong, I'm willing to admit it - are you?

Mr. Handsel he is charismatic professional and a delight to have as our server. Excellent service always makes the food taste that much better! Thank you Handsel you are a star

Yelp
Came here to try the Dutch pancake but once I saw how MASSIVE it was ( could literally be split between 4 plus people) I opted for a traditional breakfast. As I viewed the menu I could understand why this place was so popular for breakfast. Their breakfast dishes (eggs, bacon, pancakes, optional hash browns and toast) come with 4-6 pieces of bacon. This is unheard of as most breakfast establishments barely give you 2 pieces of bacon. Also they are only open from 7A-2P EVERYDAY. Service was friendly, timely and very welcoming. The breakfast was good, I especially enjoyed the pancakes they were soft, fluffy and just nostalgic. Ambiance is your typical early morning risers and coffee drinkers. Ha!

Yelp
UPDATE: After today's experience I will NEVER be back here. I was a huge fan of OPH and was loyal for so many years, but the way even the manager addressed my issue today tells me that they don't appreciate a loyal patron. My issue is on principal and due to all of my past dining experiences. I always order the Swedish Pancakes. It comes with butter, lingonberries, and syrup. I always ask for them to bring extra lingonberries because it doesn't come with enough and never an issue. Server brings more with my Swedish Pancakes. I have to repeat - I always ask for extra lingonberries. Also, again, this is the only dish I ever eat here. Today, no exception. I order the same. As a party of two, we both ordered the Swedish Pancakes with extra lingonberries. We ate our food and when the check came, I was taken aback that there was a charge for 2 x Lingonberries at $5.49/ea and a total of $10.98! I have never been charged for extra lingonberries and nor did my server mention there is an extra charge for it. I wasn't expecting a charge because a) I have never been charged for it and b) server never mentioned. So, I decided to discuss with the cashiers who just shrugged their shoulders. However, a manager in a white tee shirt overheard me and inquired. I recounted the situation again citing that I had never been charged for extra lingonberries before. She said they ALWAYS charge for it. But, I let her know that no server ever in all these years has ever charged and whether it was policy or not, if I have never been charged for it before then as a customer I am under the impression that it has no extra charge. Again, the server today never mentioned the extra charge which would have given me the option to proceed or decline. The manager seemingly wanted to challenge my prior visits to ask if I knew who my servers were. No, I don't know their names but I described at last the last two servers I had. I can even likely find the receipts that did not have a charge and to prove I did have extra lingonberries (not charged) that day, just look at my Yelp for the approximate visit date and in that picture is the extra lingonberries. The manager proceeds to mention it's a fireable offense for any employee. Fine, be it as it may, I was just stating that the impression provided by every single prior visit with this identical scenario did not have a charge assessed. This wasn't a $3 extra charge, I was charged a total of $10.98 extra - almost an entree amount. I also do not see a side of lingonberries on the menu so again, having no server prior charge me and not seeing it on the menu, I am under the impression it is provided. The manager makes no concession on the bill - not even so much as taking it off one time but that I do know for the future that there is a charge. For all the reasons above - OPH from a customer service standpoint will never have my business again. Goodbye forever. To all future customers - you better ask for your own sake if there's a charge for anything you might ask for because it's clearly not disclosed and they don't care that they didn't tell you either! MY REPLY to the manager's response: I have no issue paying for something that is disclosed. This is my point. I'm fine if all OPH's have a charge for it, but I'm just saying that your own staff in all my past visits did not follow your policy which is why when I have asked for it in the past - it was never a mention of a charge. The first server to charge me today never mentioned or disclosed this upcharge. A good server would inform that one can add more but it will be extra or you can sub an item for an extra cost. Full disclosure is what I'm asking for. It is not listed on the menu so as a customer if it is not disclosed by the server, I would not know. This is my point. My policy is to patron businesses that are transparent with their customers.

Yelp
Avoid this place like the plague I've lived in Vegas for over 30 years used to be a great joint no longer is it came here for my husband's birthday. He wanted a Dutch apple pancake hostess had major attitude when I asked if we could be moved to a different booth, not by the kitchen instead of her telling a bus or to clean a table that I requested she proceeded to let us wait. 15 minutes and seat several other people in the meantime it took our server 10 minutes to come over remind you. There was no business in there. The restaurant was 2/3 empty. Finally, the waiter came over took our order. I specifically asked for the pancakes to be brought over halfway through my meal my husband even specified that in the meantime, it was freezing in the restaurant we requested the air conditioning be turned down three times Finally, I asked to see a manager. This lady comes over doesn't introduce herself makes a bunch of excuses and then proceeds to look me up and down in a nasty way and give me a dirty look as she walks away. My feet were Indian style on the booth because I was so cold. You then asked for the owner. I guess this was the owner's daughter. He was the most pompous rudest person you could ever imagine took no ownership and then proceeded to tell me I shouldn't have had my feet on the booth mind you I did not have dirty shoes. I actually took my shoes off and sat Indian style. My feet were clean and when I said it was only due to the fact that it was freezing in his restaurant. Do not go to this place. Their service is terrible and so is their food. Worst pancakes I've ever had. The reason why the staff is so bad is that the owner is an arrogant and rude person clearly in the wrong business go to dupars or blueberry Hill if you want great pancakes and great service. Please also look on TripAdvisor as the owners have been rude, abrasive and yelling at previous customers so this is not an isolated incident. The problem isn't the restaurant itself. It's the owners who are running it with their arrogant and rude attitude. No wonder why the joint was 2/3 empty on a Friday at noon.

Yelp
Good service but a bit too crowded for my tastes. The pancakes were amazing and a great value. Bacon was slightly overcooked but that's on me. The next day I had the basic breakfast of eggs, german hash browns and sausage. Fine meal but pancakes is why you come here

Yelp
I was SO EXCITED to find an Original Pancake House in Vegas - the first one I'd found since I lived in Chicago. Always a favorite because the food and service was always exceptional. This location was no exception to the very high bar set in my memory. I had my (thank goodness it was still on the menu) Eggs Michael which is basically a Benedict with sausage and mushroom sherry sauce served with the most delicious potato pancakes. I ordered soft poached eggs and they came out harder than I wanted, but Jeremy took care of it immediately, had the eggs prepared perfectly and brought more sauce. They were perfect. I cleaned my plate. M ordered the classic apple pancake with a side of crispy bacon which he said was the best bacon he ever had. The pancake? Delicious. I didn't get a picture to begin with but grabbed a little bit in our to-go container. The coffee was very good. The fresh squeezed grapefruit juice was heavenly. The service was perfect. Loved everything about this foodie stop!! Thank you!!!

Yelp
It's been years since I've been here but we were craving pancakes and if the business name has "pancakes" in the name, you'd think the pancakes would be bomb af. They weren't. They came out lukewarm and my butter didn't melt when I placed it on them. It was 1250 when we entered and they close at 2. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it but our pancakes seemed old, possibly reheated. We also ordered a burger, which was fine- seemed to be cooked fresh and instead of a pickle a thick-sliced cucumber is served. The waiter was nice enough and the restaurant appeared clean. Would I be back? NO. I'd rather go to any other pancake place for buttermilk pancakes than here.

Yelp
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Stephan and Kim Freudenberger, owners of The Original Pancake House in Las Vegas are amazing! Today was special as it is Christmas! Yes, they are open pretty much everyday of the year! Kim always greets customers at the door with a smile. If you can catch Stephan he also stops by the tables and speaks to customers. What a great story he told our table today about Christmas and his sister. Loved it! It's what Christmas is all about. Thank you for sharing your story. Ok, the food was incredible! Had my first egg white vegetarian omelette, suggested by the wonder and beautiful Julie. WOW! Huge and delicious. Never saw one like this. Not your "regular omelette." Had to take half home! Swedish Pancakes so light and delicious served with lingonberry and sour cream. Pancakes always fluffy and who doesn't like pancakes! Spinach egg white omelette also a winner! And you can't go wrong with their hot coffee! Service impeccable! A surprise, met Santa and his Elf assistant. Mrs. Santa worked the other side of the restaurant. It was a huge hit for all the customers and the candy canes were multi-colored. What a festive time at The Original Pancake House on Christmas Day. Thank you Freudenbergers and wishing you a great Christmas too! Definitely highly recommended!

Yelp
First time at the original pancake house and it didn't disappoint at all, everything was delicious, the different types of pancakes made it super special. So good, plenty amount of food and new things to try. Service was really good and was always there to explain if we needed to know anything about the different dishes, the restaurant looks neat and very organized with well divided sections and plenty of room. In general was very good, will definitely come back

Yelp
This is one of my grandfather's favorite breakfast spots but I was disappointed. I ordered a waffle with eggs over hard. My egg was still running loose a little, so I just ate around it and I did not complain. The tipping point for me that made me not to ever visit this restaurant again was the waitress. She was acting a little weird and was not very kind especially towards the end. She was acting as if we were an inconvenience. The restaurant was clean but I do not think I would visit again any time soon.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for breakfast a couple weeks ago and enjoyed our food a lot. The restaurant is usually packed on the weekend mornings, but they have a lot of tables so the wait is never too long. My husband ordered a bacon omelette which is cooked in butter. It was big, fluffy, and tasty. It comes with choice of pancakes or toast. My husband ordered the buckwheat pancakes which are gluten friendly. I asked the server if they had any other gluten friendly options and she suggested French toast made with their gluten free bread. Yum! I'm so glad I went with her suggestion as it was delicious. I also ordered a side of hash browns (home fries) which were tasty as well. They have fresh squeezed orange juice they make daily. Always a great experience at OPH!

Yelp
Back again for more pancakes. Showed up about 5 minutes before my reservation and we were seated right away. Julie was our server and she was amazing! We really liked her. She had an amazing attitude. I tried out the western omelette today and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
Found out this was one of thee old original Las Vegas classic pancake spots so we just had to check it out and boyyyy does this place not disappoint!!! Our server was very attentive, informative, quick and straight to the point! Wish I remembered her name but she was awesome! We got typical Belgian waffle, the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and just had to try one of their signature pancake dish-- The German pancake!! Cooked to perfection they were so delicious! Our server also brought out more lemons, strawberries as well as powdered sugar to add as toppings to our liking-- very generous! Will most definitely come back! Wish I knew about this nostalgic restaurant sooner; would've been writing this review years back lol

Yelp
Well my brother had sent me a link to watch about the Original Pancake House and I watched it and new right then and there we'd have to go and eat there since I've never eaten there. The atmosphere was nice, not too loud, not too quiet, just perfect!! Kim, the owner was amazing!! She came over to our table and explained the menu since it was our first time eating there. We asked about certain things on the menu and she gave us options, which was outstanding!!! And she was very charismatic, very enthusiastic, and had a very bubbly personality. We instantly fell in love with her. Then our waiter, Alfredo, came over and took our drink orders and after he brought that, took our order. He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything as well as Kim the owner did for us. Just an incredible staff that is there at T.O.P.H. We both had the Eggs Benedict with three potato pancakes, which was so delicious and was to die for oh my gosh!! We also ordered a a plate of French crêpes to share, which was oh my gosh DELICCCCIOUS!! My brother likes drinking coffee in the mornings with his breakfast. I like drinking orange juice and since the orange juice is freshly squeezed, we both had each a glass and of course he had his cup of coffee. Afterwards we chatted a bit with Kim and I even shared with her the link that my brother shared with me about the food critics that gave The Original Pancake House 5 stars . We had an amazing time and enjoyed eating all the delicious food. We will be back again for this amazing breakfast. Definitely a 5 star restaurant and as well as 5 stars to Alfredo, he is definitely an asset to the company and to the staff, and to Kim the owner, 5 stars . An amazing restaurant if you really want great breakfast.
