We've been planning my birthday dinner for a hot minute. We're both foodies, so it's a big deal. Lol.
The atmosphere was incredible! I took pictures everywhere.
Our server was Dustin. He was sweet and funny. And the poor man had too many tables, so service was thorough, but slow. Not his fault!
The bread. It was a basic wheat loaf, done to perfection. It was crusty, and unctuous. Gordon Ramsay always says that if you're doing something basic, it must be done to perfection. Nailed it. Much respect.
The entrees. The escargot was amazing. The sauce. I'd eat it with a spoon! The steamed muscles... I'm from the Oregon coast, so I'm spoiled. They were adequate.
My husband got the red potato bacon soup. It was bland and tasteless. He didn't eat it, it was a waste of stomach real estate. Major fail, and we're annoyed that we paid for it. Please don't serve this anymore. Ewww.
My husband got the veal cutlet. I'm not into that, so I'm not going to comment.
But I got the seared Mahi. Dude. If I only could eat one thing for the rest of my life, I'd choose this. The char created so much flavor, the middle was rare, and perfect. I'd literally bathe in this. I loved the pumpkin puree, I'm pretty sure it had nutmeg in it, chefs kiss! My potatoes were raw. Uncooked. Literally No One likes undercooked potatoes, but I was enamored with the rest of my dish.
We ordered the chocolate grand mariner cake, they brought it with a candle, and it was delicious!
Over all, it was big hits, and some misses that someone tasting things could've helped.
