Outstanding performances! Love the theatre! Old school charm and elegance. Very clean. The ushers are very kind and helpful. There is a small bar. Bathrooms clean! My husband just recently became members and can't wait till the next show!!!

Ginny B.

Google
Went to see Dancing Queens this weekend, what an amazing show my daughter and I loved it, also the ushers were very nice and helpful, super accommodating, had the best time

Matt A.

Google
Amazing, beautiful venue. Went to see Jesus Christ Superstar there. Absolutely beautiful theater and the show was amazing. Beer was a little pricey, but not insane. This venue is definitely worth a trip to if there is a show you want to see there. I will be going to see A chorus line there next.

Ronald B.

Google
My wife and I had a date to see The Nutcracker and was quite pleasantly surprised and impressed- this being our 1st time going. We had a great time- all the ushers and employees were pleasant and friendly! Also, our seats and view were amazing. We will be going more often! Thank you palace for a wonderful experience!

Stephen P.

Google
The "Bodyguard" far exceeded our expectations. The cast was amazingly talented from the dance to the acting and especially the voices on the characters. I only gave it five stars because I couldn't give it. 10. What a great experience!! The staff and volunteers at the show are always so friendly and appreciative to have our business. I actually became a member to this non-profit organization!

Shaye D.

Google
The Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester is excellent. It is historic, beautifully maintained, and always feels special when you walk in. I have seen a few comedy shows here before and always enjoyed them, but this past week I took my family to The Bodyguard musical. None of us are musical fans, yet the show was genuinely great. The sound was perfect, the performers were talented, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The Palace is a true Manchester treasure and worth visiting for any show.

Google
Beautiful theater that’s historic and charming! Kept up with so well and wonderful, Broadway worthy shows there! Emma Favorite does an exceptional job with lighting and incredible detail with the stage sets! We will go back again and again!

Google
This place is so quaint and amazing. We've seen plays here, Recycled Percussion and each time we come we are impressed. I don't think there is a bad seat in the whole place. Parking isn't too bad because there is a garage right across the street and street parking if you can get it. It's right near some incredible restaurants too.

Yelp
Came on a warm Thursday night to see A Chorus Line. It was a really good show. Our favorite show of all time! We had front row seats.

Yelp
Best place for an awesome date night out! Something about live theater that makes the evening special! Shows are outstanding and staff is the most helpful and professional. Nice venue north of Boston.

Yelp
Excellent performances, find a show you think you'll like and we have loved them all. The Christmas show this year was great! Live orchestra, the dancing, actors- all good! All seats are close as it is a smaller venue, the service has been top shelf. Today older but nicely kept up. Beverage availability at intermission. Comfortable seats.

Andrea D.

Yelp
I've always loved the Palace Theatre but this past year I've had the worst experience with the box office and especially the management. Buying tickets was a horrible experience. I called first and was told if I came in I would save the service fee, so we took the 30 minute drive into Manchester to then find out that we would still be charged an extra $5 a ticket. We mentioned to use our AARP discount and the woman helping us did not apply the discount, which I discovered when I got home. and when picking our seats she was rather rude in her conversation with us, just not pleasant at all. later I found out she was the manager. I called to see if we could get our AARP discount applied and she said no she could not do it after and was not at all pleasant or helpful on the phone. This interaction leaves me with such a negative view of the Palace now. so sad.

Yelp
I went here NYE to watch Recycled Percussion. What a great event as well as a great environment. The place is quite small (which is nice) so there there really isn't a bad seat in the building. I've been several times recently and each time the employees have been nothing less than perfect. Parking can be a little difficult at times but well worth the time spent. Keep on doing what you do!

Yelp
Every time I come here I am so incredibly impressed with the shows they put on. The shows here are fantastic! Incredible performances with amazing actors. You can really tell that everyone involved wants to do the best job possible. I have sat in the first floor and top floors of this theater and the are no issues with view or sound either way. The people who work the door and guide you to your seats are always incredibly kind and helpful. I am always happy to see a performance here.

Yelp
Saw A Christmas Carol Was wonderful ! A fun and festive experience Comfortable seating All around great entertainment Bar service and selection fine.

Yelp
Went here recently to check out a recycled percussion show. Parking is not very convenient, so be prepared to bundle up for a brisk walk if you catch a shell here in the winter. I had never been here before, so the layout was a little bit confusing. Especially, where it was packed due to it being a sold out show. I eventually figured it out, and the staff was very helpful in locating my orchestra section seat. The ambience of the theater is quite charming, and I enjoyed the show. I would just say to get there a little bit early if you have never been there before, and allow yourself time to acclimate. The visual and sound was good, and I would recommend seeing a show here.

Yelp
We went to show last night & had an issue with our tickets. They made it right, even though they didn't have to. Show was a blast. Only issue was the seats where small for my wide-bidy. But all the old theaters are. Made for average size humans from a century ago!
google avatar

Bea T.

Yelp
Came here to see Madama Butterfly. Great performance for a small theater. The theater itself houses a lot of performances but they did a really good job and they even had a nice door lady dressed up. It is an old theater and not overly gaudi one either. They also have a side room where they would hold the actors reception. Very nice community theater.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been two the Palace Theater to see Recycled Percussion and to see a theater production of Cabaret, and both have been amazing experiences. The staff at the Palace Theater are incredibly welcoming and nice. They seek to make your experience the best it can be and are willing to help in any way possible, even when there is a rush of people. The seating at the Palace Theater is some of the best. It reminds me of a theater that would be in NYC, as the seating is set at an incline, so there is really no bad seat in the venue. There are drinks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic, that you can purchase at the venue, which comes in a plastic cup that you can keep, but beware, they are expensive! Overall, the Palace Theater is a great venue to see a show. I look forward to coming back and seeing more!
google avatar

Robert Z.

Yelp
This theatre is beautifully refurbished, with friendly helpful staff. It truly is like stepping back in time. The performances are by far the best around, outside of Boston!
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Went to the Rex recently, beautiful theater. Unfortunately, when I asked for a device for the hearing impaired, I was told they do not have any! Really? Brand new facility??? Really inconsiderate!

Anne-Marie B.

Yelp
I have seen countless shows here - never been disappointed. During COVID they didn't close down and fire everyone - they repainted and spruced up the place. It is now more radiant and beautiful than ever. The shows are exceptional. My favorite so far "Mama Mia". It was Broadway class - the music, the dancing, the singing, the acting. The venue is small enough that there are no bad seats. If you become a member, there are backstage tours and invitations to watch rehearsals. My experience has certainly been a stellar one! Peter Ramsey (CEO) and his staff continue to run a top-shelf theater!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Christmas Carole 2016 This show is fantastic from the performers to the costumes, stage lights, music and props. We've gone to this play every year for five years and it continues to get better every year. They are continually changing it a bit, and some dancers/singers are new, but a few repeat performers always shine through every year! We eave the theatre feeling blessed that we were able to go to such a professional performance, equal in talent to NYC Broadway! 2017, 2108, 2019....every show gets better than the last! The cast is professional, costumes are beautiful, and it's very witty. LOVE the musical performances and interactive characters running down the isles!
google avatar

Jessica E.

Yelp
Great seating, layout and service! Prices were not as badly over priced as other theaters! Watched "Cabaret" here on Friday night with my sister, awesome show!!!!

Yelp
I'm not sure If there's ever been a review of this theatre from a non-patrons perspective but here goes: I've been acting in New York for the last several years and performing here has been by far the most healthy and professional experience I've had in God knows how long. This staff (including cast, crew, band, ensemble, ushers, all) has made this experience by far one of the most memorable productions I've ever had the luxury to be a part of. I am incredibly proud of the work we put on stage and the respect, kindness and professionalism I saw consistently off stage. I truly can't stress enough how well I was treated as a guest artists and I can think of no theatre more worthy of patronage. It's been an honor.

Yelp
Downtown Manchester. Near everything. Good sight lines and acoustics. Nicely maintained. Talented performers.
google avatar

Kiki C.

Yelp
I love this spot! This venue is charming with reasonably priced tickets and drinks. We've seen a play as well as music-both outstanding seats. Great place for a fun time!

Yelp
Bought tickets for my brother-in-law & I to see Jim Messina & Poco last Wednesday & thoroughly enjoyed the show. The staff was very helpful & attentive. The only issue I had is being a large guy, the seats are a bit tight for my liking, but wont keep me from coming back.

Yelp
Show was good but the rest of the experience, not so much. We arrived around 1130 for a 12pm show. We check in and the usher walked us down to our seats. We had been sitting for quite a while, the show was about to start and a different usher comes back up asking for our tickets. No problem, show him the tickets and he walks away. The show starts and here's the usher again, demanding to see our tickets. Not once, twice, but THREE times he interrupted the performance to see tickets he had already seen. Come to find out, the theatre double sold our seats, way to go! Fast forward to intermission. My husband and son go to buy nutcracker ornaments because my son is obsessed with nutcrackers. They come back with two wrapped up ornaments and open them to show me and one of the arms is broken. My husband was going to go back up but the show was starting again. As we were leaving we approached the sales table and opened it up to show her only to find out that now they were both broken. The woman apologized and said there was nothing she could do but they're easily repaired with some glue. SERIOUSLY?! We would return for a show because they are cheap enough but definitely wouldn't buy another souvenir.

Yelp
I loved the Palace. Went to see Cold As Ice - Foreigner tribute show on May 13th 2017 and it was great! The acoustics in this place rocks! And not only that but there is not a bad seat in the house! Great views from everywhere. I would definitely suggest seeing a show here and can't wait to go again!
google avatar

Yelp
Don't generally write reviews. Loved the kids summer series Peter Pan. Great show for kiddos and how can you beat 9$. The cast were awesome! Go!

Yelp
Manchester's own little historic theater. Cute and quaint. Shows monthly Broadway plays/musicals, sometimes has special events like comics and fancy galas and when Giuliani was in town he had some dinnerparty there. Student Rush one hour before showtime. $10/ticket with student ID. Only for tickets to their Broadway shows. I've seen Grease and Miss Saigon so far. Four stars for SUPER CHEAP theater tickets. Minus one only because I've been to realdeal NYC Broadway shows for Miss Saigon, etcetc.. and these can't truly compare. BUT they are still entertaining and something different to do on a Friday/Saturday night.

Yelp
My wife and I have seen several musicals and one opera at the Palace. It is a great size for enjoying both staging and sound, and the seats are comfortable, even for me at 6'2". Parking has always been easy, there are good restaurant choices within 4-5 blocks and and if you book early you can get an excellent box seat for privacy and a great view of the stage. The construction and decoration has been restored to provide old-theater charm, so much better than monster arenas.

Luis L.

Yelp
We have been to the theater a few times now and have enjoyed the quaint environment. The staff is wonderful and you can tell their commitment to the performing arts. My wife and I just went to see Grease last night and found this adaptation to be thoroughly enjoyable. There were too many great songs to mention here but Sandy (Alyx Levesque) has great range and delivered on some difficult pieces. Danny (Jesse Corbin) impressed with his acting, dancing and singing. At the end of the day Rizzo (Katie Ann Harvey) was outstanding, her rendition of "These are the worst things I could do" was top of the line and her sassy portrayal was dead on with what we have come to expect. Thank you Palace Theater and the cast of Grease for a great evening of theater. We both left with smiles on our faces.

Yelp
Saw Grease Today March 10, 18. Very Good show. Very talented cast. They sounded great!

Yelp
This is my favorite local theatre. A beautiful old live theatre. There's not a bad seat in the house. I have seen many different events here and all have been amazing. Prices are the best for tickets and drinks and we don't have to pay Boston prices for Broadway-type shows. Everyone needs to check them out!

Priscilla L.

Yelp
Recently went to the Piano Men show. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We thought it was going to be a quiet evening of piano music but instead it was a high energy show! Quality piano playing, singing and dancers for a visual impact in the show. Nice job Palace Theater! We are lucky to have you here in Manchester.

Yelp
So happy I came here. I saw two performances over the holidays and was very pleased. The palace theater attracts great shows and the performers are wonderful. This is an old theater but well maintained. I would suggest floor seats. They are more comfortable than the balcony. Although you have a good view from anywhere, you do need to look down if you sit in the balcony and the seat price isn't much cheaper. Looking forward to going back for more shows.
google avatar

Darren F.

Yelp
A hundred year old theater in the center of downtown Manchester has a rotating schedule of musicals, comedians, theater, bands and other shows year round. All the seats in the house are great and the shows are affordable.
google avatar

Esteban M.

Yelp
I love the Palace Theater! The only thing from me keeping me from giving it a 5/5 is the seats. The seats are something that need to be updated. My wife and I aren't even big people, we're just tall, and we find the seats to be extremely uncomfortable. This is the only flaw and complain we have :)
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
Great small venue. Saw Rent there and the tickets were inexpensive but the show was excellent. It is a far cheaper and closer alternative to Tremont street in Boston and the quality of cast is very nearly the same. Good acoustics and the staff is very friendly.
google avatar

Gabriel P.

Yelp
I subscribe to the Huntington Rep Theater in Boston and visit Broadway on occasion. I've attended Palace Theater performances for the past 3 years and they just keep getting better. While it's not quite Broadway, it compares with any Boston theater company. Outstanding quality and variety. Doesn't get better than this in NH.

Mykle L.

Tribute to Beatles- thanx to a very generous man name bob sold us tickets for 10 bucks for a sold out show that was charging 60...had a great time felt like a real beatles concert not that i would know since i was born yet lol Grease - sadly to say first time watching it (saw bits and pieces of the movie) watched it after this show...cuz it was good had good songs... Miss Saigon- was ok lol and Michael Moore Sicko - Very interesting movie

Yelp
Moved up from NYC to Manchester and I love Broadway shows so I had to check out the Palace. It did not disappoint. High quality production musicals, nice theater, comfortable seats, amazing prices. A must see when you are in Manchester. I will be coming here often!
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Venue is great, but the musicals are unoriginal. If I see a show, I want to see the director's interpretation of the show, not the director's impersonation of someone else's show. The Opera on the other hand is fantastic. Live opera is hard to come by, it may not be the Met, but it is a live, professional performance.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Quaint theater in downtown Manchester. Great seats. Small size puts you really close to the stage regardless of where you sit
google avatar

Abby T.

Yelp
I recently went to see les miserables with a few of my friends and We couldn't stay through the entire play because it smelled so horrid where we were sitting.

Beth M.

Yelp
On 06/30/18 saw Another Tequila Sunrise-Eagles tribute band at the Theatre; awesome show! The Palace has great acoustics, not a bad seat in the house and ticket prices very reasonable. Why go to Boston - this is a great place to see a show.

Alysha C.

Yelp
I can find no reason to dislike this theatre. I love the theatre and would see a new play every day if I could. I've seen several here and I am very impressed. I wasn't sure how the performances would be in such a small place but honestly, they've blown me away every time. Small but has that old theatre charm. You can see everything no matter where you are sitting. Great performances, great staff, great prices, I love it here!
google avatar

Carrol R.

Yelp
How can you go wrong ? Ticket prices are low, the live theater is awesome and it has recently been refurbished. We saw 2 shows here this year and plan on seeing many more. We saw the Buddy Holly story in October then we saw A Christmas Carol in December. Both were wonderful ! Our seats were great, I believe there aren't any bad seats there, being a small venue. I have not sat in the balcony though. Love this place...Go, you won't be dissappointed.
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
I love the size of this venue... so much better than a concert at the Verizon or Garden... parking is street but the city is safe enough. I wish they had MORE music and comedy.
google avatar

Karla M.

Yelp
I Take my daughter every summer for the kids theatre. She loves it. They do such a great job.

Douglas T.

Yelp
I have seen multiple shows t this theatre previously saw Wizard of Oz which was one of the best productions I have ever seen. The current production of Flash Dance is probably the worst production I have seen at the Palace Theater. Most any high school could do a better job. The direction is spotty if you don't have a previous knowledge of the story you won't have any idea what is going on. The singing is tinny sounds like someone is trying to pierce your ear drums and the actress that played Gloria should not sing at all. The sound tech should find another profession he could have toned it down but obviously doesn't have a clue. I would not recommend this product my worst enemy. On top of it all I had a group of moronic friends of the cast member sitting directly behind me and they hooted and screamed during the whole production I asked them to stop and they told me where to go the ushers or floor captain or house manager should have stopped them but this is the Palace Theatre and they don't do the jobs they are supposed to do. This is n extremely armature venue stay way

Jason V.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the show! Theater, however was very cramped. My shins were in the seat in front of me and it just wasn't comfortable. I suppose I could get over it and just enjoy the show. If you are over 6' you might think again about seeing a long show here however.

Kristy H.

Yelp
I was shocked when they made us purchase a full-price ticket for our newborn when we showed up with him!! They said it was "Fire Code" that everyone needed a ticket. Ok, I can possibly see that, but to charge full-price? That's absurd! It wasn't like he was taking up a seat! He slept in my arms the whole time. Makes me think twice about giving them my business.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
4.5 stars-I have been on numerous occasions and it has always been a worthwhile experience. Just recently, we went to Recycled Percussion (who by the way puts on a phenomenal show), and had a fantastic time. Parking is easy and free at night-the garage we use is directly across the street. The ushers are a class act, and have always treated us like the most welcome guests. Tickets are extremely reasonable, and even if you sit all the way in the back right hand corner of the balcony, you will still have a great view. Definitely put yourself on their email list to keep up to date on coming shows, and maybe even win tickets! Even though the seats are small and a bit on the crowded side, the theatre has such an old-world feel to it that it would be a shame if they ever decided to modernize it (...other than the restrooms-I wouldn't mind an upgrade there). If you have not been to the Palace, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a wonderful night out: many, many good restaurants are within walking distance, and there is a bar inside for men dragged by their wives to see Xanadu. Parents of young children, please note there is a children's summer series of plays that your young kids will just love. The plays are interactive, and your child can meet the cast afterwards. Interesting info from the website-the theatre will be turning 100 years old next year, and in its prime housed big name acts such as Bob Hope, Harry Houdini, and the Marx Brothers. It is so nice to have this type of venue available this close by and not deal with the headaches and price tag of driving to a big city.

Heather R.

Yelp
The Palace Theatre brings incredible talent and entertainment to NH. It is a must see for the Manchester area. I have enjoyed so many productions there and love how they pull in talent from NY as well as locally. Amazing!
