Far West End’s farmer-owned, producers-only market keeps things grocery-focused on Saturdays year-round. Cited by local guides and supported by Henrico Master Gardeners clinics, it’s a practical spot to stock the pantry with Virginia-grown goods.

Such a lovely market! I ended up with bags full of fresh goodies. They had a great mix of seasonal fruits 🍓, crisp veggies 🥦, fresh bread 🥖, homemade treats 🍪, drinks like kombucha, and even beautiful flowers 🌸. Definitely a spot worth coming back to! 🥰

I love going here on Saturday mornings. There is usually a good crowd supporting local growers and vendors. I've tried a lot of items that local entrepreneurs are trying to build.

I happened to drive by Salt & Pepper Farm on my way home from work. I did a little sleuthing and found this farmers market. What a fantastic find! I love Corazón Cakes. Since I'm gluten, dairy and soy free, I wasn't expecting to find much in the way of prepared items. Her cakes are delicious. We're making an effort to support small businesses and this is the perfect way to do it. If you like baked items, need GF breads, cake slices, non GF bed items, fruits, vegetables, jams, you should definitely pay them a visit.

What an AMAZING farmers market!!! You will love it! So many different vendors and all are so skilled and friendly... especially Salt and Pepper Farm, Meat Wagon BBQ and Larry's High Kick pimento cheese!

This is a great farmer's market with lots of fresh produce, fresh baked goods, a food truck, and some hand crafted items. The locally grown raspberries, strawberries and blueberries were amazing. It's a nice sized market- not too overwhelming but not too small. I will definitely be back next week.

Nice Small Market with major emphasis on small/not heavy foot traffic. Plenty of variety considering the size.

Yelp
This market is fine if you are okay with one vendor for meats, one vendor for veg, etc. This is not the large South of the James market (now in Bryan Park) or a county wide market like some nearby, it is the size of a neighborhood yard sale. You don't walk in and out saying "is that it?" but you don't need to plan to be there longer than 10 minutes either. Friendly vendors, good parking. 3 stars for being exactly what it purports to be.

Yelp
It's small, but gets the job done. My husband and I stopped her on a whim on a Saturday. I was able to purchase a number of different veggies to bring home and enjoy. Be sure to walk through before you commit because some of the booths carry the same veggies but also offer more variety. I bought blackberries, tomatoes, lemon cucumbers (they are shaped like lemons!), onions and some beans. Prices are slightly higher than the grocery store but I like the idea of helping local farmers.

Yelp
It's a feeling of excitement and joy when there's a farmers market and it's NOT the SOJ (which I love and will always have a special place in my hear) and I can get there in 8 mins instead of 30 mins... It's located in a small shopping center off of Gayton road but it's kinda far from alot of well known establishments. As far as i know, they're only there on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm I believe and it's in the gravel/grass area of in front of Ollies. There's about 20 or so vendors here so about possibly 1/3 of the size of SOJ? The location isnt as exciting but I was excited non the less. They had one beef stand, a seafood stand (assortment of fish/crabs), some little arts/crafts tents, a few tents that specialized in womens accessories, and bath items and of course your typical agri berry farm tents for fruits and veggies. Me and my mom were able to leave with a huge cantaloupe, some mushrooms and something for my bae. As far as food options go, they only had the real country sausage tent here, which has VERY good sausage and biscuits. Very friendly vendors and ample parking. I expect to make a few more visits before the summer is over.

Yelp
Not a big event, but they have good number of vendors with quality products. Plus, it is only 10 easy minutes from my house.

Yelp
Small venue with excellent bakery products, vegetable stands, sausages on buns ,and on some weekends, Mr. Leonard's Knife Sharpening. Enjoyed seeing the variety of pickles and beef truck. The soap vendor spent her time at the pickle vendor's tent telling us what she thought we should purchase from him....not good. Would have enjoyed spending time our selves talking with the pickle vendor. Need to work on this! Maybe next season the management staff could train vendors not to take over other vendor's sales!
