⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Bella’s is a true Chula Vista classic! I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember, and it never disappoints. The pizza, pasta, salad, and beer are all consistently great, and the atmosphere is perfect for families and groups. My kids absolutely love the arcade, and we’ve hosted several birthday parties and end-of-season baseball celebrations here. We always have an amazing time—great food, friendly staff, and a fun environment for everyone. Excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming vibe—La Bella’s is a local favorite and a staple of the Chula Vista community!

Update **** I returned to the pizzeria for a second visit, and it did not disappoint! The person who assisted me at the register was named Tim. He was a true gentleman and very respectful. I mentioned that during my last visit, the mushroom pizza had only one topping and the mushrooms were sparsely spread. This time, I requested extra mushrooms, and Tim took note of my preference. When my pizza arrived, it was loaded with mushrooms, just the way I wanted! It tasted fantastic.****** I ordered takeout from this pizzeria for the first time. The place had a charming vintage vibe. I asked for one topping—mushrooms—and my order was ready pretty quickly. I’m very picky when it comes to red sauce, but this one did not disappoint. It tasted freshly made with ripe tomatoes and was perfectly seasoned. I was expecting a more generous amount of mushrooms, especially since it was the only topping I requested, but they were scattered a bit sparsely. The crust was super thin, just how I like it, but a bit too soft, which made it hard to pick up a slice and take a proper bite. Overall, I really enjoyed the pizza and will definitely return to try another mushroom pizza—this time with extra mushrooms. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

An SD institution in every sense. My family's been eating here regularly for 4 generations starting w/ my grandparents, then on to my mom and uncles, followed by my brother and I, and now through to my teenage son. THE single best Italian place I've ever found. And that's after extended stays in 22 diffrent states. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic service, and fair prices. Hundreds of visits over +30 years and not even ONE bad experience. If that isn't 5 stars then what is?

My kids and I had a great time. Most of the staff is really nice and helpful. The girl with the super curly hair and baby hairs was very nice. The bald guy with the glasses was super sweet and returned my sons phone Negative side half of the staff ignores you even if you are standing at the register right in front of them. A quick just a moment to acknowledgement that someone will be right with me and I would’ve been good. What really ticked me off was when my kids and I were cashing out the tickets. A woman helping me stopped mid transaction to go help the good looking guy who was already being helped by the sweet girl with bunny ears. Mind you bunny ears didn’t ask for help. I got help from someone else but when the girl that was helping me smiled at me I was like not cool. Luckily the gentleman helping my kids gave extra lollipops to my kids which kinda calmed me down. But this happens a lot when I come. Yall have some really nice people and the manager was nice. I’m sure you don’t remember me but I had an old school street fighter shirt on 😉

What can I say about La Bella Pizza that people don't already know. La Bella's has been a staple for families for decades. I do not think this is the best pizza in town but this pizza definitely will bring back childhood memories. The cafe side is fun as well if you have little ones. I would love to give this location a perfect score however it is located in downtown Chula Vista and parking can be a pain in the butt

Come for the atmosphere not their pizza. Costumer service is great. Service above and beyond. To owner: the work pizza. Going pepperoni then cheese just not my style. Other than that your staff was very friendly and very profetional. Your restaurant was very clean and great location

We have purchased so many pizzas from this place. We moved and were excited to get our fav pizza again recently. I don’t know what kind of pizza fraud is happening here but there is no need to harass someone picking up $100+ worth of pizza by requiring a photo id and card of the person who ordered. (They had the confirmation receipt and knew all the info when interrogated.) Add in attitude by the staff and owner? and we have purchased our last pie from you. Perhaps you should hire a pizza investigator to make sure that whoever ordered has knowledge of who is picking up and…it is not that serious. PS your staff seem miserable.

First time there. Was in town for a birthday celebration in a private dining room. Our waiter was great and gracious about all the separate checks! This place has an old town feel to it and has been there for many years. The food is amazing, and the food portions are huge. You will definitely be full and have plenty of leftovers! Got the appetizer platter, several Caesar salads- they were delicious! And of course pizza. We got the Veggie pizza with added jalapeños. Reasonable prices, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend! Looking forward to going back.

We were staying at El Primero--a short walk away. We happened upon La Bella Pizza. First impression saw a restaurant with warm, quirky, old-school ambiance. Multiple rooms, nooks, and crannies to make it a one-of-a-kind experience. We were seated, and immediately afterward a party of 18 was seated across from us. We immediately said, "Uh-oh, looks like this is going to be a disaster." We ordered our meal, and then our friendly waiter went and took the party of 18's order--they weren't easy, as they wanted multiple separate checks, etc, etc. Our order came out, hot, fresh, and timely--a pleasant surprise to the 3 of us. The meatballs were very good, with the sauce being exceptional! Our pizza was great with big, fresh, tasty toppings, and again, amazing sauce. Our waiter Andy was as good as could be! He managed the huge party as well as the other 7 tables in the room as effortlessly, as you'll ever see. It was so refreshing to observe this kind of exceptional service! Wow, what a surprisingly nice, fun night at La Bella Pizza. I can't recommend it enough!

We were going elsewhere but they were closed since it was Monday. We wandered down 3rd St and saw La Bella. The place is bigger than we thought, but since we had Cako, we sat on the front patio. The young girls were friendly and I guess, since we were eating outside, I paid first and one of them brought it all out. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, interesting that the pepperonis were under the cheese. The pizza was delicious! I ordered a meatball sub to share and this was really good too! It was pleasant outside and they had can soda. The only think I didn't like was that we felt like we were a to go order and not customers. No one checked on us, but then again, we already paid so I guess no reason to. So it's more like 3.5, but I rounded up.

We ordered catering from this location and would absolutely recommend to anyone! The portions were amazing, the food was delicious, and the service from the store manager was great. I have a nut allergy and the store manager reassured me there are no nuts in the kitchen! We ordered the penne with extra marinara sauce, Alfredo with chicken, Alfredo with no meat, an antipasto salad, Caesar salad, and the DELICIOUS sourdough garlic bread. I ate every food item safely which was amazing because we were celebrating my graduation. The food was a hit at the party and we will definitely be ordering again for any upcoming catering needs.

Damn their original chicken wings are lit. Very different. This place is old school vibe, love it. Also love the big beers; down home kind of local place.

Good quality pizza every time and the crust type is crispy/crunchy freshly baked for those crust lovers out there. We've come out here for family dinner on Sundays and enjoy it every time. Always a busy spot here but they come out with the food within reasonable time. There is always kids in the arcade game area and great way to keep the kids busy but they also have pool tables for the adult kids. Haha! Great selection of beers/drinks.

This was one of the most unpleasant pizzas I've ever had. The vegetables had a very strange, dirty smell -- almost like unwashed hands or something sour mixed into the food. It didn't taste fresh at all, and the overall flavor was extremely off-putting. I could barely eat one slice. I usually enjoy pizzas from many places, but this one was honestly inedible. I'm very disappointed and won't be ordering again. Please improve the freshness and cleanliness of your ingredients

I don't spend nearly as much time in South Bay as I used to, but when I was trying to think of a family-friendly place to get some decent pizza in a lively atmosphere, La Bella's popped into my mind. I find it comforting that it hasn't changed in the years since I last visited. My son tried manicotti for the first time and said it's now his second favorite pasta after my homemade stuffed shells. I also love the original buffalo wings because they're fried crispy and come with the buffalo sauce on the side so they don't get soggy. Our servers were friendly and fast as usual. This continues to be a great place to enjoy good food and company while supporting a longstanding business in the community.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. We placed an order to go but decided to walk over and eat there (since we live close by). We arrived and said we wanted to dine in, we were going to add more items and have some drinks; the person at the counter said that was not allowed " if you ordered to go, you have to take it to go you cant eat here". We thought she was joking but she wasn't, she called the manager over and the guy came and said "it's to go , I'm not going to platter it for you and you can't eat out of boxes in our table". They were rude, they should have people with no customer service skills as a manager nor at the counter. The lady was chewing food and talking and had a horrible attitude. The manager's attitude was worse. we paid our food and left! we have been here many many times and never experienced such bad service!

****This review is for their take out counter on the street side**** Looking for a late dinner option, we decided to stop by La Bella and order some food. It has an old school Italian restaurant vibe. We got a large pizza, large side of cheesy bread, and a small Caesar salad. Ordering was easy at the counter and our food was ready within 15 minutes. The portions were big which helped to justify the price point (large specialty pizza was $35, large side of cheesy bread was $9.50, and small side of Caesar salad was $8.50). The food was hot and fresh. The pizza was thick and held the toppings well which we liked. We were definitely full after our meal and even had leftovers for the next day. Would stop by for another pizza fix!

This is a late review. I visited La bella's Pizza and ordered wings and a large Papa Special pizza. I was enjoying it until I suddenly felt something tickle my throat - it was a hair! By far one of the grossest experiences I've had. I nearly threw everything up. I wouldn't recommend the pizza at all. Although they did comp me for the pizza, the experience was really bad and disgusting. When I asked who had long hair, they mentioned the dough is made separately daily, so they didn't know who it could have been. This could have been avoided if whoever handles the dough wore proper hair protection. I haven't visited since and won't return after this incident. One star all around. The service was bad. The food tasted good, but it was not handled properly. The wings were extra burnt, had no texture, and their hot sauce wasn't to my liking either. Definitely a two-star experience.

It's a really big place with two buildings to it. One is a restaurant and the other is an arcade. Both places have seating areas to them. The arcade is a decent size for a pizza place. It's got Mario kart, so there is that. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Definitely gets crowded there and many parties going on. I got the Margherita pizza. It was meh at best. They used half slices of tomato and the cheese would just keep coming off. The crust got soggy pretty quick. And it wasn't that good. The sauce was all right tho. And the search continues for the best slice...

Nice family oriented resto, has a small gaming area with arcades and pool tables. It was my son's bday abd took him and his friends out. It was our first time ordering the platter alfredo and it didn't disappoint. It was delish and price was reasonable. The margerita pizza and meat pizza was super good and fresh! Portion was large! Service was friendly but took awhilw to come iut maybe because there was a big party on the other side.

I had the Chicken Parmesan + 3 of the Mama's Cannolis. The food was hot, ready to go 25 minutes after ordering a takeout, and absolutely worth the $27 I spent total on my order. I was in town for the weekend on a short mini vacation and was dying to try local restaurants. The restaurant is very busy, as it functions as a pizzeria + bar + arcade hall. The staff were friendly and quick! 10/10 would recommend for some delicious pizza!

I gave it to Stars only because my husband had a good time and he was happy. I called three times, only to have it ring until I got disconnected. I was trying to make a reservation. I made a reservation online for my husband's birthday. It was supposed to be a surprise. He did not know anything about it because we planned at the same day. I was very specific in the notes section under the reservation not to ruin the surprise when we come in, that we wanted to sit at a table for two and to just grab two menus, even though the reservation was for eight. There was a very skinny, young and short hostess with dark hair who had a bad attitude. She immediately almost ruined the surprise by saying, "it's a reservation for 8" then started to argue with me in front of him when I said no. He also wanted to be in the quiet restaurant section, not the loud area. She scoffed and seemed to have a problem with that. I tried to steer the conversation in a different direction so my husband wouldn't suspect anything. It was too late though. We sat at a table for 6, and I went back to the front to get more menus after the kids finally showed up. The same hostess at the front who had already ruined surprise kept bitching at me about it. She approached me, not the other way around. Even though it's boiling with anger I was still smiling at her well she continued to dismiss everything with a bad attitude. I mainly writing this review because she was ruining the fun. She complained that she couldn't see the notes and only the managers could see the notes. She complained that I needed to call to make a reservation even though I had already explained to her twice that I had called but the phone didn't go through. And when I explained to her for the third time, she then brushed it off, "oh, well the phones weren't working." I did not go up there to argue with her. She needs a lesson in customer service; we will not be back! I can handle a person making a mistake but what I can't tolerate is someone who goes up to the customer to try and deflect responsibility. Dinner was about $170.00 with the tip. This was a big deal for us, because I only work 6 hours. The waiter was great but that hostess needs to go!

Went in yesterday to celebrate a friends birthday at the bar in the back . Johnny was our bartender! He was fantastic ... always checked on us to make sure we needed anything. Great experience! Thank you Johnny . ....

Had a great server tonite!! Andy was the best I mean he was great! It's was good tonite to have some fresh salad & tasty Wings & Pizza And not cook tonite so we ordered and pick up it was still hot when it got home. I love the wings here and it's has pool tables on the other side is newer with the same food too There's a arcade there too which fun for everyone And there's tv for sports too

La belle, what can I say.. you can never go wrong with La Belle pizza.. Service is always wonderful...The food is always delicious and yummy,as for the pizza the best in town.. You can never go wrong ...Be ready for leftovers...

to go review -- classic large pepperoni and small salad are guaranteed to hit the spot during the weekday. friday nights and weekend can get very busy in this area. be sure to call ahead and find parking out back of the business area. la bellas continues to be the go to for pizza and everything in between for chula vista .. many of us have grown up coming here and continue to support the business no matter where we live in san diego.

This place is surprisingly good. It's pretty big and fun for the kids. The food is okay, a little overpriced. Staff is not too friendly, manager looked very upset. Our server was also not very friendly. The whole place smells really bad, like sweaty kids but I guess is expected ?

La Bella's has a special place in my heart. This place is a jewel in Chula Vista and is a source of good food and great times. It's a great family place as they have a side of the restaurant dedicated to an arcade and pool tables. The service is always great, all of the servers are friendly and welcoming.

Horrible service. Took them 2 hours to figure out that I didnt get my food. I called them 3 times and all they kept saying was" food is on the way, it'll take 45 minutes" called them back for a refund or a remake pizza and the kitchen is closed. I had to put a star but it's a really not there like my pizza and wings

I do not give 5 stars easy. When I tell you our service was amazing... man thats even an understatement. My fam and I ate good and for the taste and amount of food we got ... with the smiles all around!?! Yeah special thanks to you Amanda. :)

Ordered pasta and pizza, and all I can say is the food is not worth the hype I heard about. Pasta I got wasn't Al Dante, it was over cooked with barely any sauce or seasoning at all. Pizza we got had no season or flavor too, for a place that is supposed to be great at pizza...... all I can say is, I'm better of buying one at Costco. Definitely not recommended

Went there this past Friday, large group. Fantastic service, absolutely great! Pizza is ok not the best not the worst. However, I ordered the chicken parmesan, come on guys! That was not real chicken! Some type of processed white meat, although a large piece, IT'S NOT REAL chicken, which gave it a horrible taste.

This pizza is just average. Not bad, not good. I had a medium size pizza- pepperoni, olives, onions and bell peppers for a whopping $23. Very mediocre, pricey. The lady at the front desk that handed me the pizza was nice and demonstrated good customer service. I don't think I'll be coming back. I think the place may be relying heavily on the location, history, and that the sell beer, pizza is just not good, not bad

Wow so delivery took 2 hours instead of 30-40 minutes & the manager Mike frank didn't feel we deserve a good discount! He offered a $10 dollars off our the next order! You have to do better than that come on! We are your customers, we literally live down the street. Very disappointed. "My cashier made a mistake!" That's not good customer service! FYI We ordered the meat lovers & added mushrooms you can tell they forgot and they toss them on top, after it was cooked! Come on La Bella's what's going on!

My granddaughter was gonna have her 5th birthday party at the cafe side of this establishment which is a Chula Vista landmark. Our server and host was very helpful and put in our orders for beverages and all the various pizzas and appetizers and salads. We had some regular cheese pizzas for the youngsters and papas favorite for the adults along with wings potato skins and Caesar salads and antipasto it all came out promptly and at the appropriate temperatures. The kids got cards for the video games and they all were hopped up on ice cream cake and having a good time. I would have given 5 stars but I was shocked to see the pool tables can't be used unless you purchase the balls for $16 an hour. I understand they gotta make money but that just seemed exorbitant for guests that are hosting a party so I just got a roll of quarters and played the walking dead pinball machine but that's a small thing as everyone enjoyed celebrating my babies 5th birthday a solid four out of five

Great family friendly restaurant. Small arcade for kids to play which we enjoyed since our kids were little. We went on a weekday around 5pm and it was not busy. Small crowd started to show about around 6pm. Price for food was reasonable and the portions were good.

Been going to La Bella Pizza Garden in Chula Vista for many years and always order the Papás Favorite pizza and Lasagna both are always great. This time, we tried something different. I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo pasta with broccoli and give it a 3 out of 5. I had to order extra sauce and it lacked flavor. I had to doctor it up by adding more seasoning, garlic, butter and Parmesan cheese. I wouldn't order this pasta again however, my husband ordered The Bada Bing pastrami, turkey , and melted cheese sandwich. I took several bites because this sandwich was so DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend trying this sandwich.

I liked that they have a front dog friendly patio seating area, as we were in from out of town and traveling with our two pups and meeting some family here. They do not stay on top of cleaning the patio dining area, not sure if that was just an occurrence when we were there or a regular thing. The place is popular, and we have eaten here before. The food is okay, I can't go beyond that. We ordered a couple of pizza's, some wings and a Caesar salad to share. We got exactly the number of paper plates of the people in our party (5) no more than that even though they are the very thin flimsy kind. The young lady at the counter was not very friendly and seemed put out by any of our asks, including our ask if we could have our salad first and extra napkins. The kids enjoyed playing the games inside after eating, and clearly folks like coming here. For us it was an okay experience.

My husband loves La Bellas to deliver. Tonight he ordered a pizza for him. They said they will deliver in 1 hour. After 1 hour and 30 min. I told him to call. Oh.. we will be there in 30 min. For sure they forgot the order. Okay, but, the driver showed up and forgot the pizza. I'm sure he'll keep ordering from them. Do better La Bellas

Red trolleys is one of my favorite beers ever. Was delicious. Food was great and service was excellent

Very old school Italian restaurant aka little run down . We ordered a pizza which kind of reminded me of high quality frozen pizza at first crust was a little overcooked . Which is weird cause I've had pizza from here before and it was a lot better . First time dinning in . I did really enjoy the burbon wings . Cannolis were very good . Prices were decent service was good.

Good pizza is hard to find in Southern California. I really enjoy La Bella's pizza. So good and always enough to take home for leftovers in the morning! Yummy

Today changed my mind about this restaurant. I went to school with one of the family members and she was not very friendly. The food I didn't like previously, and they hired nothing but park rats. Once in a while someone we knew who was cool would work here. Today the pizza was good for the first time out of 6 times I have had it. Pepperoni pizza was not soggy this time or too thin or greasy. I'm glad I was able to participate in this event because it changed my mind of the establishment. Everyone was very friendly.

Great for parties as they have plenty of tables and space. They also have great party combos that are affordable. They also have a game room and pool tables if you are into eating and playing. A little too loud for me but everyone seems to like the ambiance. The food is great specially the pizzas and we always come back for more

Had a soccer team party here. I have been here many times over the years, so didn't think to look at reviews. They charge a $100 booking fee that didn't go towards our party, but for what???Our hostess was supposed to be Margarite, but I saw her maybe 2-3 times in a four hr. period. They put us in an upstairs room that was so run down the cushions were not attached to the chairs. The place felt dirty. Not to mention, these people kept walking through MY party to get to another party. Like wth??? My coach was speaking and these three people interrupted him to walk through to the other side. The food was ok, but salad was soggy like it had been sitting in dressing all day. Drinks were watered down and flat. Definitely don't drink the water!! Overall, Definitely look elsewhere. Not the same place that I remember. Sad, because we have a lot of great memories here.

Keep in mind this place has a 3.3 rating on yelp, which isn't very good. The food just isn't the greatest. Depending who you get the service could be good to poor.

SERVICE WAS AWFUL! We checked the website to see at what time they close on Sunday and it says 10PM. We drove 40 minutes to get there - arrived at 9:20 and the woman at the desk said we could no longer dine in - that they stopped serving "  five " minutes ago. I asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude and said NO. WE ARE CLOSED. When we showed him that all platforms say they close at 10PM, his lame excuse was "  I have no control over that. ". SUPER RUDE! We've been coming here since the original owners and their sons ran the place, no sure if the manager is related to them but AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will NOT be returning.

Loraine on the game side was Great!! It was my grandson's first birthday.. last Saturday and She made everything run smooth ***that was very important for me.. And the clean up crew... on there game very attentive very friendly I would definitely recommend La Bella's to my friends and family for events

I love La Bella's but on Friday the 18th, last order of the night I believe. I ordered two pizzas one came out hot and cold in spots the other which I always order was a jalapeño pizza ( every time I order) and a Cadillac. Next morning I was SICK, I ended up with FOOD POISONING for a whole day and night, Not going there for a while

A Chula Vista institution on 3rd Ave. Super spacious with booth seating, a bar, and high tops. There's an arcade for kids in the back plus pool tables. It feels classic, with the original dining room first opening in 1961. It was quite crowded from the Aztecs basketball game, but service remained friendly and the food came out in a reasonable time. We liked the Mexican pizza with refried beans, chicken, and chorizo. The Works pizza was solid. Huge and filling. The chocolate gelato was a yummy way to end our meal. I imagine it's a great place to go with family for nostalgia or if you have children in your party!

Had the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. I did not mind the extra wait and really appreciated the time and effort that went into this sandwich. Service was very attentive and the restaurant is a cool established local spot. Great place to mangia.

STOP putting pepperoni UNDER the cheese!!!!! For YEARS we've always asked for pepperoni only ON TOP and not once has that been followed! We don't want raw pepperoni under the cheese!!!

Combo was good. Pizza only ok Spaghetti was tasteless.good family atmosphere, but help was overworked.
