The best Irish Pub that I have been to! The staff and clients are exceptional and friendly. The first time I was there it was like I have been visiting for years!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants! My family and I have been coming to Rory’s for the past five years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious — from the mouthwatering entrées to the amazing desserts and drinks. And let me tell you, hands down the BEST lamb chops I've ever had! 🤤 We’ll always keep coming back. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and give Rory’s a try. You won’t be disappointed!

We reserved a table for five (2 children and 3 adults) this past Easter Sunday. Mary, who took my reservation, was also our maître d'. She was polite on the phone and in person. Our server was also polite. There was another gentleman on staff who checked on us while we were dining. The food was great (as has been the case on our previous visits). A nice selection of music was playing during our visit. Rory Dolan’s maintains the ambiance of an Irish establishment. We loved our experience.

Google
It was nice, the atmosphere was great and the food was good as well. We started with appetizers. My boyfriend ordered the calamari and I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were really good. The calamari was really good seasoned and the spinach and artichoke was nice and cheesy. Then I ordered the grilled fish with lemon butter sauce asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was delicious, the sauce complimented the dish so well that everything was great. He had fish and chips, it was good he said just a bit greasy for his liking but he said it was still good. Now the dessert. The dessert was top notch to be honest. My apple crumb cake was so good soft and it just melted in your mouth it was one of the best crumb cakes I ever tasted. My boyfriend apple pie he said it was amazing. He loved it and definitely a winner. So overall great and the owner spoke to us and we was really nice and welcoming thank you.

Love this restaurant/bar. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere, especially now with the christmas decorations. The service is great. It's definitely a place to sit and have a cold drink if you're in the area or even take a ride up from wherever you are. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My friends and I met up to have brunch at Rory's Dolan. It was warm welcoming place to be. Our server's name was James and he was so delightful. Wonderful personality, very friendly. we loved this guy. The food was amazing. I had the corn-beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes. I've never tasted cabbage like that before. It was so delicious, it had a nice buttery taste to it. I wanted more. Their serving was more than enough. we all had a little something different to eat. Now, the variety of desserts just blows your mind. I definitely was eating with my eyes. I wanted to sample everything they had on a tray of display. Omg! I had this crumble cake with ice cream and whipped cream and the plate was decorated with a raspberry sauce in a shape of a heart. That was my first time there. But, my friends has been there several times. I tell you they don't disappoint. I recommend this restaurant. They also had private events going on in other rooms. I love that they had bar grill type of thing going on. Also provide valet parking. It's all affordable and reasonable. People were great from the time you come in til the time you leave.

Yelp
As a native from Yonkers this is truly a well known restaurant in the community. IYKYK. I have celebrated my birthday, promotion, and holidays here countless of times. The restaurant offers such a cozy family vibe from the decor to the staff. Rory himself often times walks around saying hi to everyone and it is such a pleasure to see him still all these years! I am not sure about the authenticity of the food but I have yet to have a meal I did not enjoy. For this particular dine in I brought visiting family members to try. I myself had the filet mignon bites with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. You can never go wrong with meat and potatoes! My mom decided on the chicken francese with baked potato. Another classic entree which was perfect and the lemon butter sauce so delicious! My cousins ordered the chicken fajitas. This is another popular entree amongst my family. It is so amazing how this is an Irish restaurant and they do fajitas better than most Mexican restaurants! No shade! It comes in its usual Smokey fashion but the onions, peppers and chicken are not charred! And it comes with a nice sauce that keeps the chicken moist! I washed down my plate with the classic Magners Cider which is my absolute fave. The star of the meal at Rory Dolans is always the dessert! I love how they always come up with new desserts and they bring a demo of each one so you can get a visual! I love brownies so of course got that while my cousins ordered the apple pie. Both are served warm and à la mode and soo decadent and delicious! Couldn't recommend this place more!

Yelp
It gave us "Cheers" vibe. We actually got the privilege of meeting with the owner "Rory Dolan". A wonderful person. The atmosphere was nice the decor was good (few chairs a rickety-age), our waitress was exceptional. Food was great. Great Place for a party.

Yelp
My husband and I had the pleasure of having a delicious lunch today at Rory Dolan's. We were welcomed warmly by James the maitra d', who gave us a tour of the restaruant. Our waiter, Michael was terrtific and made sure we were well taken care of. The atmosphere was very welcoming and decoratd beautifully for the Christmas season. We were happy to meet Rory Dolan who was very courteous and engaging. We live upstate in Dutchess County but plan to definitely return when we visit Yonkers. You will not be disappointed if you have a meal at Rory Dolan's. The establishment is second to none.

Yelp
First time eating here and being in the area. Parking was a tad bit difficult as it is either street parking or getting the lucky with an open spot in their private lot. It was decorated very festive once you walk inside. It was overwhelming but also so pretty with all of the Christmas decorations. We started with mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, they were fried to perfection crisp on the outside and then gooey cheese on the inside. They also brought bread for the table which is also a plus as it had little mini soda breads as well. I ordered the chicken pot pie which was one of the most popular options. The puff pastry on top was huge and delicious when cut up and mixed into the pot pie. The pot pie has carrots, corn, peas, and green beans. I overall would probably never order it again as it was okay and the chicken had an odd taste to it. My boyfriend had ordered a Reuben sandwich which his only complaint was the bread was soggy because it was either not toasted or the sauerkraut and dressing were sitting too long on the bread before being served. The fries with his meal were delicious and rosemary flavored. Our friend ordered chicken fingers and waffle fries which was delicious and a perfect bar food dish. Our server was phenomenal and patient with helping making recommendations and ordering. It does get very crowded after 9pm they shut down the restaurant and the bar opens with a DJ.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, service, ambiance. Rory homself comes around to check on you. Be sure to try the appetizer sampler. Generous portions and delicious.

Yelp
I've always had a great dinner , food is always on point. We always sit at the bar,but yesterday the place was packed, so we sat at a booth. The service was great, ambiance is always , music is good and all the TV'S is a good thing.

Yelp
I had been wanting to check out McLean Ave for literally years, so when I planned to go the other day I googled the best Irish pub on the street, which is how I ended up here. I was really surprised at how huge and nice it was inside; there is a massive bar that wraps around most of the front part of the restaurant. The Christmas decorations were also a really nice and festive touch. My vegan friend joined me, and there was almost nothing on the menu he could eat. He was really okay with just having a liquid lunch, but our bartender, who was so, so nice said that he could get the kitchen to put together a meal for him. My friend said it was good. After, the bartender asked what could be added to the menu to make sure there is at least one good option for vegans, so I felt this was really thoughtful of him. The food I ordered (fish and chips) could have been better (the fish wasn't super fresh, but not terrible), but I was okay with that because I was just really enjoying everything else about this place. There is a pretty large selection of draft beers, and that's what I care about more than food when I go to a pub. The space itself and the service really made this pub worth visiting. I will definitely return sometime!

Yelp
Been coming here for 30 years!!! Haven't been here in a while with my move up the line a little. I'm so happy to report that this Yonkers landmark has not changed one bit! The decor is still as I remember true to Ireland. The service is absolutely perfect with most of it's servers from Ireland. Let's get to the food, Soooo good. Traditional Irish fare like corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, and Shepherd's Pie...YUMMMM ! Along with classics like burgers, nachos, and wings. This place is not just a Restaurant / Pub. It's a transport to Ireland! And a true destination. As we were leaving, my bartender James offered my wife and I a taste of the Irish whiskey from his part of Ireland..it was so smooth and enjoyable. You just don't get service like that these days except for in places like this. Thank you James. If you find yourself in the City of Yonkers, you have to come in for a delicious meal and a PERFECTLY poured Guinness! ENJOY!! BTW, this place has Always supported Yonkers Finest and Bravest!!! Thank you for that.

Yelp
We were in the area and was looking for a quick bite. It was about 10 PM on a Friday night and we decided to stop by atRory Dolan's Restaurant. The kitchen was still open, but we were limited to what we could order, but that's all good. Of course the bar was jamming and and the music selection was off the chain. Totally loved it. So I'd ordered Buffalo chicken fingers and a few Guinness. It'd hit the spot, as a matter of fact, anything will hit the spot when you are hungry. Although this restaurant/pub was packed, I was surprised how quick they were with bringing out our food. They also have outdoor seating which was quite nice. It'll be pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the great weather while either dining or sipping on a few drinks.
google avatar

Johanna G.

Yelp
I wasn't too hungry, so we just went with the shepherd's pie, but wow, it was yummy. The flavors were spot-on, and I would say it was the perfect comfort food. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something warm and satisfying. Will definitely be go back to try more of the menu!

Yelp
One of my All time favorites for an authentic Irish Pub experience in NYC. Food, staff, ambience all amazing, never a dull moment and my god the place is always spotless and shining like a diamond. Locals are always friendly and welcoming, a favorite of the students from Manhattan college so it does get busy when school is out. Cheers

Yelp
We flew in from California this evening and found Rory Dolans was close to our airbnb. I'll have to say this was one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in such a long time. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Very personable and friendly staff, a great menu with comfort foods that you rarely see these days. It was a step back in time to quality customer service that welcomes you as part of the family! Rory the owner came by the tables and chatted it up with everyone. He came and spoke with us, asked all about our trip and where we were form and shared parts of his own life. You don't get this kind of hospitality many places anymore and he sent us off with a few Rory Dolans coffee mugs. A must try when your in New York!

Yelp
What's the craic? Rory Dolan's is and that's a fact! Stopped in a day after St. Paddy's Day and the atmosphere, decor and music were absolutely fierce. The Guinness were spot on and the Dolan Burgers were truly delicious. I highly recommend the Ruben which was hands down fantastic! Finished off with some sherry trifle. Our server Jessica was absolutely delightful, delivering warm and genuine hospitality and could not have been more welcoming. Definitely mark your map and make this a destination if you are in the area

Yelp
Came up across the border from the Bronx a few times in the early 1990's when I worked down there. Man, I'm old. So, 30 years down the line and I came up here again for a luncheon the other day. Guinness draft was on point. Food served at the buffet was top notch. My only minor complaint is the very small parking lot. However, if you drive around the corner, you can find parking on the residential streets. Hope to be back before another 30 years pass......

Yelp
Flat out sucks. Go elsewhere. Food is mediocre and the staff can blow me for all I care. They focus their attention on their phones more than their customers.

Yelp
This place is such an awesome and huge Irish pub, after stopping in for lunch today after work, I had to come on and give a shoutout to such a wonderful spot in Yonkers. The location is prime, very easy to get to, and the pub has been thriving for 25 years, so a big congratulations to the owners and team for this. We got a booth in the front to sit down, and parked nearby with ease, there wasn't too many people there during the day, and they had about 3-5 servers 2 managers and 2 bartenders working at the time. The menu is extensive, and has plenty of choices across the board. Wether you want a Sandwich, an Entree, Some comfort food, a Salad, some apps, they got plenty to choose from. The servers also seem to be authentically Irish, at least one of the managers, the batender, and our server was as well. Which is a nice, nice touch. We split a Cesar which was delicious and well dressed after some tossing, and also split a burger and the chicken sandwich too. Burger was well cooked and the chicken was also pretty tender, it's bar food so you should know the caliber of what you're getting. Also had to get a Guinness, how can you not, it was great. They also have a desert tray they bring over and it has a huge spread of choices, so I had a brownie. Warm, delicious and fresh and my dad had another fruit desert thing, he liked it. This place would be an awesome spot to watch Sports, have a night out with the guys/girls, and enjoy a good old fashioned Irish pub. Cheers to 25 more years!!!

Yelp
This is absolutely the best place in westchester. The people, the ambience, the food, the drinks and your fellow customers. Nice , friendly, kind, inviting. It feels like home. Go now and go often!!

Yelp
This a wonderful, lively Irish pub in an area of Yonkers with many recent Irish immigrants. The interior was huge and brightly lit, with a large bar in the center and TVs hanging all along the bar. Every TV shows a different sport being played. The service is friendly, with the waitresses wearing green and white dresses. The free bread basket that arrived included mini-raisin scones, which were delicious. Along with the bread, there was a separate bowl of individually wrapped packages of unsalted Irish butter. I ordered fish and chips, while the others in my party ordered their own fish and chips and a burger. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The fish, covered in light, crispy batter, was quite good, as were the fries. I also ordered a cup of coffee, which was surprisingly good as well.

Yelp
Rory Dolan's is one of the go to Irish joints on McClean Ave. that everyone thinks about. It's the one that everyone thinks of when heading to the Irish section of Yonkers. The food is delicious, you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Large establishment with plenty of seating for families, friends, and a wrap around bar that you can sit at too. The service is great too.

Wendi B.

Yelp
Dolan's is a lovely traditional Irish pub. It has a fabulous Celtic vibe that comes across most clearly in the hospitality of its staff and owner. Unfortunately, the food here leaves a lot to be desired. The "homemade" turkey and ham with stuffing was nothing more than some type of a turkey loaf that didn't resemble freshly carved turkey breast in the least. The stuffing - while tasty - was less than three tablespoons on my plate, and the one lonely slice of ham was buried at the bottom of some really sad, over-cooked veggies. Oh, well. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Go for the atmosphere and the beer; forget the food.

Yelp
Great spot for great pub grub and a lively crowd An Old school Irish style with a nice menu and good food Highly reccom

Yelp
It's a great place to get a late night bite and watch sports. The food is good and so is the service!
google avatar

Yelp
Went on Cinco De Mayo, thinking there would be a little more festivities going on. But it was just a special menu in addition to their regular menu. We ordered off the Cinco menu. Everything was delicious. We had the chips and Guacamole. Then my friend had the chicken quesadilla and I had the cod tacos. We both had pomegranate margaritas. Everything was good. Rory came around a few times asking if everything was ok!
google avatar

Nikka L.

Yelp
this is legitimately one of the best things i've ever eaten. i went in with fish and chips in mind but saw this haddock with mashed potatoes and mushy peas on the specials menu and had to have it after seeing a gentlemen at the bar eating it. he told me it's the second time he'd been in this week to eat it and i'm so glad i took his advice. it came out piping hot and i was already thinking about the next time i'd be able to come back for another plate just a few bites into this one.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
I was so surprised to see all these positive reviews ! We went and it was awful. Everything from the salad to dessert. I would never return !
google avatar

Yelp
This is another one of our "pilgrimage" spots in Yonkers. We have to come here every time we are in town. McLean Ave. has quite a few Irish places but this is our favorite. Authentic atmosphere, above average food, love the Smithwicks on tap and service is great.
google avatar

Jose C G.

Yelp
I just had the biggest and best Breakfast Burger in my life. Wow, I could hardly take a full bite! Really big and delicious! Staff was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable there. Gotto go again soon. Recommended to all!
google avatar

Kristy R.

Yelp
Super yummy place to check out! We were in the area and decided to go here for alcohol and air conditioning. Large beer list, not too many craft options, but it got the job done. The space is massive and the AC was pumping. Our server was super nice and helpful. Bathrooms are huge and clean. For food I had the fish and chips and they were delicious. Everybody at our table enjoyed their food and drinks. Definitely a place to visit again next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Peter Q.

Yelp
I love it now ,they need consistency with the wings . A pint of Guinness and beer is the best combination

Kendoll C.

Yelp
Visiting the area for the weekend, Rory's is a regular go-to-spot of the friend we were visiting and she was delighted to bring us to have our own experience. The atmosphere was quite delightful-it felt like being back in Ireland, with warm welcomed greetings from staff, some time to chat with the owner (he even gave us Rory's mugs as souvenirs), and Irish music playing from the sound system. It was a nice spot to sit back on the patio & relax. Food: we ordered the Korean cauliflower & a plate of spicy wings. The wings were wonderfully crispy, well breaded, well sauced, with moist juicy insides. But a bit woeful to only get 8 wings for the price and the spicy sauce was a more bbqy than spicy. Though, I was happy to have so many pieces of accompanying carrots & celery. The cauliflower was well seasoned, but overall there was too much breading, giving them a heavy & oily taste-just wasn't my type of snack. The beers were very high priced compared to other bars in the area ($8 for a Guinness pint). Overall, the atmosphere was great, but the meal & drinks didn't hit the spot & were overpriced- I think next visit we would stick to brunch which boasts a more reasonable menu
google avatar

Marc K.

Yelp
I give Rory props for offering a nice social distancing atmosphere. Plenty of seating. Even a lot of bar seating with plastic dividers.for parties of one, two , 3 and 4. Service was great at the tables. Food is your basic Irish pub but the ambience still thrives in covid times. Unfortunately there's always someone who will break with the rules and go maskfree walking to the bathroom. Or someone who had a few drinks and forgets mask protocol even among their own party. Still service was great and the owner manager came By and checked on everyone. Kudos!
google avatar

Michelle Q.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite and get a drink or two and bumped into Rory's. I ordered some calamari and sweet potato fries. The calamari was very crispy and the side of marinara sauce was just perfect. The sweet potato fries had an extra spice added, which added a different taste. (I forgot what the extra spice was). My friend also ordered a bomb Buffalo chicken mac and cheese !! It was so so cheesy and tasteful. I would totally get this next time.
google avatar

Yelp
A must go to in Yonkers is this legendary Irish Pub/Restaurant is the crown jewel of the area. Very nice bar are with music on the weekends, Really good food and nice sized portions. Friendly start and Rory himself if around will say hi. Recommend the Steak sandwich and of course the Fish and Chips.
google avatar

Rashan H.

Yelp
It's just so damn consistent. Not pheasant under a glass, it's better. Well made special and go to comfort foods that are usually a B+ or better. The liver is really good but so is the burger. Ben coming here for decades. It's plain ole good. Bar has a great pour as well. Always return.
google avatar

Martha H.

Yelp
Went and had a great time -- and pleasant chat with the owner. It's not fancy but I highly recommend.

Yelp
We visited Rory yesterday evening for a Friday night dinner for 5. The service and attentiveness were excellent . We were seated right away even though they were very busy . The food was fantastic, our waitress Lisa was very professional, helpful and a pleasure . Attention to detail was everything. The authenticity of their food is superb and we can't wait to be back . Thanks Lisa !

Yelp
Nice spot for family dinner or to watch a game. Rory himself even stopped by the table! The food was very good, and I especially enjoyed the French onion soup. Solid fish and chips - and next time I'd like to try the shepherd's pie, which looked great.
google avatar

Trina S.

Yelp
This is an amazing spot. I was here specifically for my friends' Mother's repass. I have known of the spot for years but had no idea that they this type of spectacular attention to detail. The food was delicious. After the repass several of our friends stayed and went to the front and had drinks and more food. We had a really great server there too. It was a nice way to wind down after a very emotional day. Thinking of doing a get together there in August with my St. John's elementary friends. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Amazing service! I went back in the early spring and wanted to eat outside with my dog. The tables weren't out yet and the waitress brought one out for my dog and I so we could enjoy a nice lunch. Absolutely amazing service and food, great place to go!

Robin D.

Yelp
I've gone here a few times with friends. We always have a good time. The service is excellent. No matter what I order I always get the fries. They're amazing. I do wish there were more options for people who don't eat meat. My pickings are slim! Last time I just had a cheese quesadilla. But we will be back!
google avatar

Steffany E.

Yelp
I been here a few times.. love the place and how it is open until late night... their mini hamburgers as appetizers are to die for... Something that I think they should try is the variety of music

Marcia S.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The server attentive but not overbearing. The space nicely done.

Yelp
Favorite Irish pub in NY. They made another memorable event come true for my family. We had a small family gathering for our son. Service was great and you feel like you're in a perfect place. Food and drinks were excellent as usual. They will never let you down at Rory Dollan's

Yelp
We usually go to The Heritage on McLean Ave. but tonight I wanted to try something else. We had a nice time. It was loud and busy with all TVs going with sports and shows. Food was good. Standard fare. My boys like the hustle and bustle and wait staff is great!! Will be back.
