I enjoyed the seafood more than I ever expected; it was truly stunning. The staff were warm, kind, and always ready to help. The place is small, so it can get tight, and at times guests had to squeeze past my table. Still, the dishes were so wonderful that every moment felt worth it.

I've heard a ton about Henry's and now I know why! Took Mom for a birthday dinner. They were so accommodating to squeeze an additional guest in last minute! The cocktails....wow. my pomegrate martini was top notch. The food was phenomenal. All of it. I had the Caesar salad (salad is included with all meals), broiled seafood platter (the scallops were perfection....the best I have ever eaten) and tiramisu. Get the broiled seafood platter trust me (lobster, clams casino, crab imperial stuffed shrimp, scallops, sole in brown butter with green beans and a baked potato. Holy yum! Just go...but leave a seat for me!

My girlfriend and I visited here for the first time. We loved the atmosphere with its dark woods and narrow style. It was also great to see the chef cooking in an open kitchen next to our table. Our server, Holly, was welcoming, knowledgable, and had perfect timing. My meal began with clams casino. I have had the dish in Chicago, New York City, and several other places, but this was the absolute best I had ever tasted. We enjoyed their fresh dinner rolls and their stellar house salads, complete with in-house prepared croutons. I went on to plate of lump crab that was light and delicious while my girlfriend enjoyed her wonderful chicken dish. And our drinks were stellar. My Hendrick's gin and basal martinis were refreshing while my girlfriend loved her pumpkin martinis. It was like liquid pumpkin pie. We couldn't fit dessert but we took a limoncello ice cream treat to go, which was tangy and refreshing. We cannot wait to return!

Ordered the haddock and loved it, it was so flavorful and reasonably priced. Staff were very attention and friendly as well. The roasted potatoes were one of the best side dishes I’ve ever had as well. I’m giving a 4-star rating because the green bean vegetable dish was bland and flavorless. I would recommending adding some salt or roasting them as well. Would definitely come back.

After what felt like months of trying, I finally scored a last minute reservation at Henry’s Salt of the Sea a small, always-booked spot in Allentown that I’d been eager to check out. I lucked out with an 8 PM table the same day I called. When my wife and I arrived, the place was packed and lively. We waited a few minutes at the door before being seated, and from there, the experience was flawless. Our server was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, extremely attentive without being overbearing. We started with drinks: I went with a chocolate peanut butter Old Fashioned, and my wife had a lemon drop martini. Both were on point. For appetizers, she had the colossal lump crab with warm butter, and I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops with a brandy sauce. Both were phenomenal and plated beautifully. The main courses didn’t disappoint. I went with the swordfish special, and my wife chose the classic surf and turf. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and lived up to the hype, something that’s rare and refreshing these days. To wrap it up, I ordered the house made crème brûlée and a coffee. No complaints there either, just a great ending to an incredible meal. I can confidently say that Henry’s Salt of the Sea was worth the wait, and I’m already looking forward to the next visit.

This place was the BEST experience in foodie shopping and tasting I have EVER had in the Lehigh Valley area!!!!!! The attentive waitresses and staff, along with the passionate chef and their cooking was impeccable!!!!! The portions are all shareable so come with a BIG appetite!!! This place is a little hidden gem amongst the areas many restaurants and cultures that one MUST VISIT!!!!

This establishment seems to be frequented by loyal locals. The ambience gives old school there are paper place mats booths with wooden benches. For the price I would expect white table cloth service. Any who on to the details the hostess was busy and cordial. A seasoned woman not charismatic has her best hosting days behind her. We order a couple of appetizers I will only rate the one we ate trying not to be negative, the mussels in butter sauce were plentiful however the butter sauce was extremely oily. I’m accustomed to a light butter and garlic sauce but we used the sauce to dip our bread which was more suitable. The two entrees in the photos are the seafood platter and the Walleye fish. The seafood platter received a good review by my partner with an inexperienced palette but I did try one of the scallops an it was a little gummy. The walleye entree the fish was soft and moist not over cooked with tomatoes and mushrooms in a creamy butter sauce that was light. It tasted fresh not a lot of herbs or salt. The mash potatoes were good and the vegetables were steamed al dente in their natural state. All in all the food was not bad but I found the quality vs the price $110 for food only, I don’t see the value in returning.

Henry's Salt of the Sea is a French-inspired seafood restaurant located on W Allen St. in Allentown. It's open Monday through Thursday, 4:30 PM - 9 PM, and Friday and Saturday, 4:30 PM - 10 PM. Reservations required. I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since I was last here. It feels so good to be back, everything is just as incredible as I remember. My friends and I started with the bacon wrapped scallops, fried calamari, and escargot and garlic butter. The scallops could have used a few more minutes in the oven, but overall, the appetizers were flavorful and skillfully prepared. For dinner, I ordered the fruits de mer, one of my favorite dishes, and Henry's absolutely knocked it out of the park. The dish features a generous mix of lobster, shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat, all served in a creamy garlic sauce over linguine. My friends had the broiled cold water lobster twin tails and chicken Alfredo. The lobster was sweet, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and served with brown butter. The Alfredo was rich and creamy, with juicy, well cooked chicken. Our server, Jaime, made the evening even better. She was attentive from start to finish. Henry's is hands down one of the best restaurants in the Lehigh Valley.

Yelp
Came in for my birthday and left with a bit of mixed feelings about the place. The restaurant has been in the same location for many many years and it shows. The decor looks like classic Americana restaurant from the 1980s. Booths and old tables that may want a little upgrade at some point but I digress. The service matches the old restaurants that have long been forgotten from the American movies of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Brings some nostalgia. The food is excellent the Colossal Crab cakes, Baked Clams, Scallops. Everything tasted wonderfully I just expect it a little lighter. Although if you are looking for classic American cuisine with classic American dishes this spot in Allentown is for you.

Yelp
First time trying this place. Stopped in on Friday 9/5/25. You'd never believe how good this place is by how it looks on the outside. Reservations are definitely recommended to get in here. It's small but very nice, cozy restaurant serving up some delicious eats. Extremely pleasant staff from the moment you walk inside. There's a "special bar table" but that takes some work to reserve if you'd wish to sit there. We had a party of 6 dining that evening. Got a table in the back but that wasn't an issue at all since you can see the show with all the cooking done right behind the bar area. I was just happy that we were able to snag a reservation to try it. Heard many great things about this place. Very friendly waiter that night. Started off with the clams casino , very delicious! House salad was great, perfect portion. Entree was the "Henry VIII" - which consisted of a petite filet with mashed potatoes, green beans as vegetable and a very big portion of sautéed jumbo lump crab and mushrooms , served with browned butter and bérnaise sauce. We finished off the night with a crème brulee and peanut butter pie. Parking is a bit tricky when you visit since there's no lot available for the restaurant. On street parking only. Check it out , great food , great service , worth the price! Reservations are a must if you'd wish to visit this place.

Yelp
It's always great to Eat here. One thing I must mention and let me know if anyone else has noticed. We've been here many times. They offer Sherbet and ice cream. Im always always asked vanilla, chocolate or Strawberry ice cream and I always answer "no Sherbet?" They always say "No". I always want to reply with "why is it on the menu then?" Am I being unreasonable? Take it off!!!!

Yelp
This corner home restaurant is a gem with terrific seafood. Everything from the service, experience with decore and drinks and especially the food was a delight. A must stop if you're in the area. I had the Fruits De Mer for the first time and it won't be the last, Mmmm GREAT !!!

Yelp
Fantastic seafood restaurant. Perfect for celebrating. I've been here a few times and everything I've tried has been wonderful. The crab mac n cheese appetizer is a must-order. I also recommend the seafood scampi. Definitely make a reservation. I called and let them know it was my boyfriend's birthday and the restaurant staff made it such a special experience for him. We will be coming here for future special occasion dinners.

Yelp
I wish I could give it a negative 5 stars!!! This place was highly recommended since we were out of town and looking for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. I love seafood so we were anticipating an exquisite meal and exceptional customer service. We drove 51 minutes only to be disappointed. We patiently waited to be seated and when the hostess escorted us to an available table, we sat down only to be told by the hostess we had to move because a manager/owner was saving the table for a friend. This should have been discussed prior to taking us to a table to be seated. I have been in customer service for 30 plus years and some things can be overlooked and I try to extend patience, grace and understanding but this was totally unacceptable!!! No apology from anyone, no courtesy cup of water for the inconvenience.........NOTHING!!!!!! But at least we know where NOT to go next time we're in town. I DO NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. Please save your time and your money! Patronize a business that welcomes and respects you the customer (regardless of color) and your money.

Yelp
I finally got to have dinner here! Decision to try it was based on feedback from neighbors and co-workers that gave it 5-star reviews My comparison is based against the Marblehead Chowder House and Youell's Oyster House. I'll offer my final assessment 1st. Bottom line is given the cost of dinner, the small portions, the hassle to park your car, the long line/waiting time to sit (even with a reservation), it's just not worth my trouble. To me the food was very good, not great. I ordered the broiled seafood combo ($49,00), and it felt fresh. The place is very busy, and I felt rushed. The tables are close together, be ready to rub elbows. They let you know someone will be displacing you from your seat, so move it along doggie - lol! Each dish appears to be individually cooked to order, and they do a good job preparing your dinner in the kitchen. The staff is far too busy to be very friendly, but it feels more businesslike. They must be doing things right considering how packed they always seem to be. Maybe it's just not right for me? Marblehead and Youell's have their own peculiarities, but you can't go wrong with the meal at any of these places.

Yelp
Amazing food, top notch service. Can't wait to go back. The only downside is parking options suck balls.

Connie S.

Yelp
Service is out of sight! The food is to die for. I have never had a meal I didn't like at Henry's. Living in the Valley is a bonus, having such an iconic surf and turf restaurant with interesting ambience tucked away on the corner of 1926 W. Allen St. Allentown PA.

Yelp
An absolute classic. It's been 20 years since I last visited Henry's and I swear it's exactly the same. In a great way. The inside looks and feels like home (if that makes sense) old school vibe. The service is amazing. My waitress was wonderful and very charming. The crab cakes were exactly as I remembered. More crab than filling. I hate crab cakes w too much breading. These were perfection. Please don't ever change!!!

Peter J.

Yelp
We have been eating at Henry's for years but in all my life I have never been told to leave after 1 hour 15 minutes because they have more reservation. Not even please just leave by their bus boy. Don't think I will be giving them my business any more. Peter Jones

Yelp
Another great dining experience to celebrate my moms 80th birthday. Food was amazing, service was wonderful, wine was delicious. This place never disappoints

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Best seafood around! We've been here a few times and have never left disappointed. The food is incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly, everything is homemade and portions are the perfect amount. The staff is very friendly & the atmosphere is cozy. Henry's has definitely become one of our favorites.

Yelp
Old school seafood restaurant. You need a reservation, but worth it. Seafood Fra Diavlo is my favorite and the Escargot is awesome and buttery. Been here twice now and everything we've tried has been great!

Yelp
So happy to be back on a date with my husband! Jaime was an exceptional sever. Friendly, very efficient and appreciative of our patronage. The food is full of excellent flavor and the presentation is true perfection. You may want to save room for appetizers and dessert. Key lime pie was one of the features tonight. We will be returning soon!

Yelp
I am not sure what I am missing here but we have been a few times and I am always hoping for a better experience but it always disappoints. We went with a small group for a birthday party and were completely underwhelmed. The service was terrible and our waiter was very short and rude. We got a variety of entrees from fish to steak. The steaks were flavorless and the fish was rubbery and lacked flavor as well. The next day a couple of people in our party were ill. Not sure how this place packs the people in. I am fine paying for a higher priced meal but this place is just not worth it.
google avatar

Paul E.

Yelp
I wish I would have taken pictures but this is not the kind of place you whip out your phone. The scallop daily special was amazing but the Caesar Salad and the homemade ice-cream are hard to forget. So glad we were able to get a table while we were in town. Don pass this place by. You'll be glad you stopped and consider yourself lucky to get a seat.

Yelp
Love it! Best Seafood around! Eaten there many time, highly recommended! Make Reservations

Yelp
Fabulous service and excellent food. 10 from table 10. The drinks were really good too. I tried the Apple old fashion.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
Very good food, nice salad bar. Last experience with the wait staff made us feel a little rushed to be out of there by 9. Not the best ambiance, there have been little to no modernizing done here.

Yelp
Hard to get a seat so make reservations. But the food is great. $$$$ you will not leave hungry.

Yelp
Had a great dinner tonight at Henry's, the ambiance couldn't have been better, reminded me of the super clubs back home in WI. Our server, Ashlie was fabulous, super friendly, she recommended the limoncello dessert so yummy!...I travel a ton for work, one of the foods I love in this area of the state is the lump crab with brown butter,so excited they had it on the menu....it was perfect! We will definitely go back!

Yelp
I can't wait to come back to Henry's Salt of The See. First off, when you walk in the front door, you are taken back to an old school, hole-in-the wall era that is very warm and inviting. I love all the wood on the ceiling and walls. It was so beautiful and cozy. The waitress we had was just wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menue and all the specials for that day. She was very attractive and service was in a timely manner which I totally appreciate. I hade one of the specials for that day, which was trout with a side of steamed vegetables and another side of potatoes. The sides were pretty good but that trout, oh man was it good! Absolutely delicious. I would recommend anybody to visit Henry's Salt of The Sea. Plus their not too bad with the price. About $100 for two people and a few drinks. I will be coming back the Henry's Salt of The Sea.

Melissa C.

Yelp
First time dining here and all I can say is my hubby and I will definitely be back! Love the old school atmosphere. Had a reservation for 7 was sat and greeted by 7:15. Holly was our server and was pleasant and on point. We ordered some appetizers, bacon scallops and cold jumbo lump crab. Excellent and fresh! Dinner was surf and turf. Melted in our mouth, steak was cooked to perfection and the tail was fresh and the brown butter topped it all off! Excellent can't wait to go back!

Sandra L.

Yelp
The food was average, upon entering my party noticed non of the wait staff were smiling, the bar was on the small side could seat maybe 12 clients, the dining room is on the small side, have fun parking, prices were above average for the area. When ordering at the very bottom of the one page in size 6 font stating 90mins limit to eat. Our waitress never said anything and it is not stating on thier website about limiting cliental to 90 mins. I have eaten at places where the waitress will inform the cliental about the limit seating time restrictions. This was my parties first and last time at Henery' Salt of the Sea.

Yelp
Was in Allentown for an event dined at this wonderful location two times while here. The first time sitting at the bar with Frank well he suggested what we needed to order... He was correct on all counts. Food was so good we came back two days later and had a meal at one of the tables. This is a wonderful location, somewhat catchy and small but great cuisine. Highly recommend this when you're in Allentown. I will definitely be back

Yelp
This place had the best seafood we've had in years!! Very fresh, served as simple or as fancy as you please, but excellent quality throughout! Waitstaff very attentive, as well. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
This place was packed and we basically had to sit at bar for what I found to be a hidden gem. This place has been open for 40 yrs and has a huge following. We had the best time and the best food. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem. First off the service was absolutely outstanding. Some of the best service from a waitress I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious The owner cooks and is the sweetest man. This place is seriously so good. From the hand shaken cocktails to the delicious crab. It was truly incredible and we will be returning often!

M K.

Yelp
Amazing food! Best seafood restaurant in the valley. It's a bit of a tight squeeze, small inside, outdated. But who cares because their food is top notch! All the staff is friendly and check on you frequently through the meal. Make sure you make your reservations ahead of time. Well worth the wait!!

Yelp
Reservation highly recommended. Appetizer: - Brown Sugar Bacon Scallop 5/5: bacon is crispy and scallop is not dry... but it's kinda cheating because bacon makes everything better! - Salad: from a salad bar. Blah Main course: - Maryland Lump Crab Cakes (fried) 3/5: My husband loves crab cakes and he gets crab cakes everywhere he goes. He said the crabcakes is bland and needed a lot of sauce - Duck special 2/5: duck meat is dry, the skin is bland and not crispy. The sauce is raspberry based - too sweet. I had to add a lot of salt! - Green bean sides that come with the meal 0/5: Is this canned green beans? For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected a decent fresh veggie instead of canned. The green bean was pale and overcooked. Well, overall the food is very underwhelming. Everything needs seasoning! This is not a fine dining restaurant... I mean which fine dining place put salt on the table? It's like they know the customer would need it. For the price, I expected more... although I must say the place gives you a unique experience. Service was good.

Kerri M.

Yelp
I was on a business trip, so went by myself. I called ahead and they saved me a booth. The food was fabulous and the service phenomenal! What a neighborhood gem!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and experience. Went here before the Creed concert and so glad we found this place!

Yelp
My spouse and I recently enjoyed (immensely) dinner at Henry's. Everything - the service, food, comfy ambiance - was excellent. I'm a seafood lover and got the broiled seafood combo - lobster, scallops, clams, shrimp topped with crab Imperial, sole fillet, accompanied by a salad and garlic parm potatoes, perfectly done green beans that still had some snap. Besides it all being really tasty, this place continues to do brown butter right! No, not melted butter, or blackened butter with grit, but actual smooth and savory browned butter that added the right touch to the meal, enhancing but not overpowering the seafood's delicate flavors. Vegetarians may have to flex or negotiate, because the awesome salad bar is gone (at least right now). My spouse ended up getting a kitchen-made salad not on the menu and they were not grudging about topping it nicely with lots of goodies. We had a really good and friendly server, Rodrigo, who was quick, attentive and creative with suggestions. He knew his specials inside out and sold them well. Will we be back? This wasn't our first meal there, and definitely won't be our last. On a closing note - the prices are very reasonable for the high quality and decent quantity of food you get. If you're used to getting your seafood at, say, Red Lobster, this'll be a step way up worth taking. And unless you're disabled, it's not a huge deal to park on the street. After your big meal, the short walk will do you good.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you walk past and it's definitely a neighborhood staple. Almost everyone there was a local who came there once a week or more. All the bar and wait staff is so friendly. I even ended up making some local friends that helped me with recommendations for my next restaurant. I forgot to take pics of my food. But everything was delicious.

Linda H.

Yelp
Great menu and food. Lobster française was delicious. The shrimp français was great, but the veal it was served with was a bit dry. Excellent salad and sides. Our server (Angelo?) was outstanding. Its long narrow ldining room is quite crowded but once you're seated, it's OK. Will definitely go back again.

Yelp
I didn't enjoy Henry's at all. It was so highly recommended and I went there with my husband to celebrate my 60th birthday and felt like I was in the 1960's. The place is old school, the food the same. I don't understand why anyone would recommend this place - maybe when I get to my 80th birthday, it would work. I will say, the server was lovely and very attentive.

Debbi I.

Yelp
I absolutely love Henry's Salt of the Sea. Never ever a disappointment The food is always fresh and delicious. Prepare just right the ambience is wonderful and relaxing. If I could afford it, I'd be there every night.

Michelle S.

Yelp
Always the best service, Food, presentation and overall experience. This is our go to for all special dinners. We love Holly she is an excellent server. Highly recommend you have reservations and that you experience both their seafood and steaks - as their entire menu is excellent -- best in the Valley!!! And the dinning room is quiet - something that's super important to me -- you don't see many kids running around - a PLUS!

Yelp
Man, oh, man! Did I have my hopes really high for this restaurant, but we were not satisfied. You have to call to make reservations, so be sure to do that. Didn't catch our server's name, older gentleman, shaved head with glasses. He was polite and sped through the specials, holy moly, it was way too fast! We sat at the first table closest to the salad bar and we watched him grab a napkin, remove something from the salad bowls and throw it away. We didn't eat much of our salads after seeing that. We both ordered the special pan seared rainbow trout. This was my first time having rainbow trout, we are from southeast Texas and always have saltwater trout and redfish, both very flaky. The outside of the rainbow trout was crisp and flaky but when we got to the middle of the fish, it was mushy and not hot, wasn't cold, but wasn't hot. Needless to say we didn't eat the majority of our dinner. I ordered a baked potato, do not recommend. Comes out plain, it was small and warm. I asked the server if I could have some butter, cheese and sour cream. He pointed to the table and said to use the butter that he gave us for the bread and brought me some cheese and sour cream from the salad bar. As you can see in my photo the potato was small and not even warm enough to melt the toppings. My fiancé had the mashed potatoes and they were good. Tried the frozen mixed vegetables, they were bland, overcooked and should just remove them all together. Maybe their other food options are better, but our experience was not very well. $86 for two meals and two drinks.

Mari S.

Yelp
Food was absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Service was Amazing! Our server Joyce gave us 1st class service! Ambiance is rustic, it was clean. It was very busy -yet Not bothersome in any type of way. The lighting is perfectly set and the decor was accommodating. Food was priced appropriately, being that it's seafood one should already expect to pay $$. Fortunately for anyone dining here you get your moneys worth! Serving size is abundant. They have a good variety on the menu- from appetizers to entrées and desserts and they also offer evening dinner specials, which were pretty amazing. Food Presentation was aesthetically appealing and the food was top notch. From ingredients to quality A+++ ‍ This is the type of food and service one would receive at a high end restaurant in New York City. No exaggeration. We also had 2 mojitos and they were not cheap on the liquor quality or serving size! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! Not something you would expect to find in Allentown PA. and you won't. Henrys Salt of the Sea is one of a kind around here. This place is a Gem!

Yelp
Amazing food, great service highly recommended. Food was perfect, came out as soon as we were done with appetizers. We got desert to go and it was very good. We will be back.

Yelp
Best seafood restaurant in the valley. Everything is fresh and delicious. I never had a bad meal. I have been coming for 5 years.

Yelp
Unique place. Service was very good and we appreciated not being rushed. Alcohol was fairly priced, so was the food unless it contained Lobester. We had 3 apps, 2 entrees, but nothing we had was notable, way too much butter for our taste. The Waitress took it upon herself to change both of our dishes from how we asked her to tell the kitchen we wanted then. She told us she did as she was serving them to us. That was a first.

Yelp
(This was for a Mother's Day dinner pick up during the time of Covidious. When things return to some state of normal, your experience likely will vary.) I was looking for lobster tails for the old lady for mother's day and a brief scan of the area restaurant scene showed me that just about nowhere was offering that as a choice. For whatever reason I stumbled on Henry's website and saw that they were offering it so I made the call. Set up: I called two days prior to pre-order things and that part went very smooth. The person who answered the phone took the order, my card info and I chose a pick up time with ease. Pick up: Parking is a bit of a challenge in the area as many others have mentioned. The restaurant does not have it's own lot and you're parking on residential streets with the local clientele. (Speaking of the clientele, while waiting for me my wife saw a car pull up fifteen feet in front of where we were parked and two locals came out of their house with several sandwich bags of "stuff" being exchanged very hastily. 5pm Sunday drug deal in broad daylight? Yep.) When I got inside I was behind three other people as they were running about ten minutes behind on their times. No biggie. Also as others have mentioned the inside is very small and especially in these covidly times there was no way to socially distance myself from the guy sitting at the bar waiting, the guy behind the bar answering the phone and getting receipt signatures and two other people standing there waiting although it was fun to watch the well choreographed ballet of the guys in the open kitchen at work. Food: Twin lobster tails - Chicken Francaise - Crab Cakes Let me start with what matters. The old lady loved her lobster and said it was probably the best ever with tons of amazing buttery good flavor. To back it down a bit, the sides for dishes were all the same with green beans and baked potatoes. I don't care for green beans but the others ate them fine although the potatoes very much on the dried out and overdone side. It took a lot of sour cream to make them enjoyable. As an admitted crab cake snob let me say that the attempt from Henry's was ok but it's not great. The two pictures on this Yelp listing do not accurately reflect what was made. The cakes I got were coated in a panko breadcrumb coating that I could have done without. Personally the more you do with crab cakes usually the worse they are. By no means were they bad, but I'm not sure they were good enough to be charging north of $30 for them either. If you're looking for hipster or foodie (whatever that self-absorbed term means) this isn't it. If you want tried, true and no BS old school seafood like grandma and grandpa enjoyed, this is your spot. (3.5 but rounding up to 4)

Yelp
Upon knowing a few days ago that we'll be doing a quick getaway from NYC to Allentown to visit some family, I already started looking up the best restaurants in town and this was clearly a consistent favorite so I knew we had to excuse ourselves for a date night escape from the family. This was last night. Our hotel was a $20 Uber ride going there and $45 ride going back. Yep we spent that much alone on the transportation, that's how much we wanted to try the place. Reservations were easy. We were given a table at 8:30, welcomed warmly, noticed how all the wait staff were strictly in masks and also only allows customers wearing masks, a good sign during this new normal. Kendall was our server and she was friendly and had a great energy. Thanks, Kendall! Placed our drinks ( a glass of Cabernet & Sauvignon Blanc each) and some warm bread with butter were served. So good. We had the fried calamari for starters, which was just okay, it wasn't as crispy and was a little soggy and felt it lacked a bit of salt. Tasted the house salad to try the homemade bleu cheese that everyone's been raving about. Delicious. I got the Broiled Seafood combination which was Lobster, Scallops, Sole Filet, Crab Stuffed Shrimp & Clams Casino with brown butter on the side. I really wanted to love this and I wish I was raving about it but for $40 per order, this felt lacking for me. I'm a seafood person and sadly, nothing stood out to me on this plate. My husband got the Fruits de Mers which is Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops and Crabmeat served in a Creamy Garlic Sauce over Linguine for $40. This was really good and thankfully made up for it, though I really wish I had a better meal, especially because we spent $65 for the Uber ride alone. It was honestly all the reviews that pulled me in. I do realize how the Chef and the staff are working so very hard especially during this time so I give them full credit and still giving 4 stars. Could have been an off night for my broiled seafood plate. Thanks, guys!
