The Haflington

One of the most beautiful bars I've ever been to, immaculate vibes, if you like dark moody, cabinet of curios vibes, you will feel as though you've been transported outside of Hanoi's chaos into a little capsule. The decor is intricate, beautifully curated and designed. The branding is on point, just flicking through the menu of unusual drinks they have to offer is just a visual delight. This bar would give a run for your money in any major city, one of my favourites I've ever visited. (and theres a LONG LIST) There are two floors, the top floor is the one with the dinosaur suspended above the bar, the bottom floor consists of two rooms with moody interiors comfy cosy seating and taxidermy and artwork. Both are great in their own right. The server was able to suggest something to our tastes, and the drinks were perfect. 10/10

The Haflington is easily one of Hanoi’s coolest bars. It may not be on Asia’s Top 50, but it has popped up on a few “best bars” lists, and honestly, it deserves the hype. Finding it was half the adventure. I was slightly confused at first until I spotted staff standing discreetly at the entrance. You actually walk through what looks like a local house, then climb two flights of stairs. Very secret bar energy. Once inside, it’s stunning. The decor feels like a European museum, dark, elegant, and dramatic. The highlight is a massive dinosaur skeleton hanging on the top floor, which I did not expect but absolutely loved. I tried two special Christmas cocktails, both very festive with warm notes like cinnamon and spice. Two drinks was my limit, but I’d definitely come back to explore the regular menu next time. The bartenders speak excellent English, the vibe is calm and classy, and it’s a perfect spot for a solo drink or a quiet night out.

Living up to their reputation of “Asia’s 50 Best Bars”! Delicious and meticulously designed cocktail, excellent friendly staff that makes you feel accompanied, beautifully curated environment. My drink was named “The Christmas Letter”, the layers of flavors and the perfect match with that little piece of chocolate was heavenly. Will go there again when I’m back in Hanoi in a few days time 🥰

Beautiful bar. Well deserving of the high ratings. We came here without reservations, so we got a table on the second floor. Not very comfortable. We waited for a table on the top floor and it was worth the wait. The bar, deco, music… that’s why Haflington is rated one of the top bars.

The Haflington is a must-visit in Hanoi, the perfect bar with a wonderful, warm, and welcoming ambience. The drinks were exceptional, and the staff were very friendly, making you feel comfortable. Their menu is quite elaborate with plenty of options. The place does get full so be sure to make a reservation.

Wonderful bar like a speakeasy Very classy and excellent cocktails Good service a bit long and very professional. They forgot the second cocktail for my husband but made one fast and offered it to us. Highly recommended for a bar experience in Hanoi ! You should book as it is not that big .

Amazing bar for excellent cocktails. The interior looks like a natural history museum. The special cocktails menu had some warm and spicy drinks. The music is great with some gems from 70s funk. Highly recommend!

Spend some lovely late afternoon hours here with 4 drinks each. They definitely know their skills and also the freestyle drinks are perfectly crafted. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable. The prices are high but well worth it.
