Not sure if this is the hotel where Tony sat at the pool and said “So this, too, is Bali, I guess — or it is now. Thank you, Jimmy Buffett, for taking a big dump on the world. Another wagyu slider, my good man. Yes, thank you. By weight, how much human waste is generated by your average person on vacation. Look around you. Do the math. I want a water sample. I’m telling you, the fecal coliform count is going to be interesting. I’m sure there’s a metaphor here. Am I bitter? Am I just old? Do I just have, like, a predisposition of instinctive hatred of young people? Perhaps. Enjoy the moment. The words of Baba Ram Dass: ‘Be here now.’ But I am here now. I’m not actually having sliders. You eat those fucking things.”

We came to Kamandalu for a break from a very hectic few months and it ended up being exactly the reset we needed. The resort itself is stunning and our room was beautiful. Having a private pool made it feel like our own secluded corner of the jungle.||On our first night we had a romantic dinner by the forest edge. The setting was incredible but the food was the real standout. The flavors were so unique and delicious. We both agreed we had never tasted anything quite like it before.||What really stayed with us was the “Body, Mind, and Spirit Journey”. We had both been feeling pretty burnt out so we tried the Shirodhara and Crystal Chakra Balancing. The Shirodhara was a revelation. Having that steady stream of warm oil on your forehead just shuts off the brain in a way I did not think was possible. It completely silenced the mental noise I had been carrying.||The sound healing with the Tibetan bowls during the chakra therapy felt like it cleared out all the residual fatigue. We finished the session with a purification ritual using holy water and rose petals led by the Guru. It did not feel like a standard spa treatment. It felt like a genuine spiritual experience that left us both feeling lighter and actually balanced.||If you are looking for somewhere to truly unplug and find some stillness I cannot recommend this place enough. We left feeling like we could finally breathe again.

We stayed 6 nights in the Presidential Villa and absolutely loved it! The service was absolutely amazing everyone was friendly and always happy to help and accommodate any of our requests The place itself is beautiful and really peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The food was also really good (especially the nasi goreng). Only tiny thing we noticed was that the power outlets could be a bit closer to the beds, but that’s just a small detail. Overall, we had an awesome stay and would totally come back.

My husband & I spent 3 nights & it was our first time. Love everything there! The hospitality of each staff is incredible, they made us feel at home. The resort is well maintained, very clean & neat. I loved the activities catered for many interests. We managed to join the morning yoga classes & loving it. I loved the breakfast, w so many healthy choices like smoothie bowls, healthy juices, etc. The homemade pineapple jam & jamu kunyit are my fav! I managed to have slow living for several days in the resort, w all of my body sensory being awaken. I came home refreshed & reset. Thank you, Kamandalu! Keep it up!

Wonderful spot and excellent service! I just did a Pool Day Pass so I can’t comment on the rooms but the day pass experience was great! Included with the pool pass is a free beer and choice of burger or pizza for food plus a towel. They also gave me a free orange infused shot! There is an outside shower and restroom nearby as well. I loved watching the monkeys swing from tree to tree right from the infinity pool. Beautiful view and friendly staff. 🙂

I stayed with my partner, and our stay was wonderful and very comfortable. The staff and all the service team at Kamandalu were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained, and the food was delicious. The view at Kamandalu made me feel relaxed and free from fatigue.||The shuttle bus was very helpful for traveling to Ubud.

Stayed two nights in Kamandalu. The place itself is perfect for those who’d like to escape the chaos and busy streets. Beautiful hotel with a lot of greenery around. We had booked a garden villa. While the room was very nice, I found it a bit too dark for my liking. As rooms are kind of their own bungalows, not much day light is coming in. Upstairs we had like an open bed where you could lay during the day and enjoy the view, however the whole bed was covered in bird poop by the time we wanted to lay ( not very practical set up in my opinion ) Breakfast was amazing with so many options and coffees, juices, fruits. Egg menu was mind blowing and buffet had many different things for anyone’s tastes. Staff are friendly and nice but sometimes I felt them being a bit pushy with selling a service, especially when it came to spa. I know that spa is great there but so are the prices which I found quite high. When we just checked in after 3pm on a rainy afternoon, we just couldn’t wait to finally rest in but at the reception they told us that they need more time to prepare the room and would like to give us a 10 min massage ( at the lobby btw ) I wanted to just be in the room after such a long travel and not sit to listen how tense I am and that I need to go and get a full massage…this felt a bit awkward. After that, the room was still not ready so we thought okay let’s get some lunch there. After lunch nobody notified us if the room is ready or not so we had to go and investigate ourselves. There are not many activities happening other than that. Infinity pool looked a little bit neglected also. They advertise a lot both pools via booking and socials but I was quite disappointed to see how they look…. Location wise you always either need to have a driver or drive yourself as you’re quite far from the city centre. There are several time slots where they bring you to the centre via shuttle bus but if you want to go at the time that suits you best, of course you need to pay extra ;) Overall it was a nice stay if we don’t go into details but I wouldn’t be back again.
