Where to Stay in Hanoi?

"A sleek, contemporary‑and‑futuristic stay that goes beyond the conventional hotel, this property serves as a testament to Hanoi’s modernity, offering views of the National Convention Center rather than the Old Quarter. There’s still a touch of colonial charm, and the overall polish mirrors chic establishments in cities like Singapore and Shanghai. The spa and fitness centre are exceptionally well‑appointed, featuring a breathtaking indoor pool, while dining ranges from Japanese and Cantonese cuisine to the vibrant Cool Cats Jazz Club. With a lively atmosphere and contemporary‑classic leanings, it’s an excellent choice for couples and honeymooners seeking a romantic getaway, and it also caters strongly to business travellers thanks to its location within business districts, high‑speed internet access, comprehensive business facilities, and luxury amenities that balance relaxation with productivity." - Pruepat 'Maprang' Songtieng

"Gallic Flair at French Grill Although the new JW Marriott Hotel is slightly inconveniently located in a new business district a long way from the centre of Hanoi , it is is worth making the trip there for this fancy restaurant alone. As the name suggests, there's an emphasis on French methods here. However, there's nothing fiddly about the stunning steaks and seafood morsels grilled by the expert chefs."

JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi (Hanoi, Vietnam) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is, among other things, a symbol of the Vietnamese capital’s aspirations as an ultra-modern, cosmopolitan city. It’s a contemporary, even somewhat futuristic structure, overlooking not the Old Quarter but the National Convention Center. And if there are echoes of colonial style in its interiors, they’re faint ones — it’s reminiscent instead of the modern luxury hotels of other East Asian capitals, from Singapore to Shanghai. An expansive spa and fitness center includes a remarkable indoor pool, and among its bars and restaurants are Japanese and Cantonese options." - Tablet Hotels

Amazing hotel!! + Lovely ambience, very lux feel, + large/roomy feel throughout the hotel, grand lobby, huge rooms + Executive lounge is impressive.....huge selection of food at breakfast, high tea and evening hors d'oeuvres, which in reality has large enough selection for passing along as dinner. We are vegetarians of Indian origin and had Indian selections at both breakfast and at dinner in the lounge + Service is amazing. Everyone is always so willing to help and so polite. Hospitality is a culture here......special shout out to Simon (SY) in the lounge. He always has a smile on his face and is very willing to go above and beyond to help. - Location is a bit far from Old town but the hotel runs a complimentary one way shuttle to the town at 9, 1, 6 so that helps a bit. Taxi/Rideshare is super cheap but it does take a bit away. That said if I were to do this again I would stay here as we would never find this quality hotel in the Old town area.

I was so happy to visit Hanoi again after several years. Time has flown by since returning to daily life, so my thank-you note comes a little late — but it’s truly heartfelt. Thanks to the delicious food and warm hospitality, every moment of my stay was filled with happiness.||My sincere thanks to Douglas and Jay for their thoughtful care throughout my stay. At JW Café, Jolie, Duong, and Thu made every morning such a cheerful start to the day, and Lien and Nga at French Grill made dinner absolutely perfect. I was also deeply impressed by Qyuan Anh’s bright smile and warmth during the hotel tour. On my checkout day, Ngoc Anh at the lounge was so kind and attentive too.||Every staff member I met was genuinely lovely, which made this trip extra special for my mom and me.🤍 I already can’t wait to come back again soon!

This property is particularly impressive - large, modern interior and rooms. It features an indoor pool, multiple bars and restaurants, a casino, spa and separate sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms. It was a perfect retreat during the rainy weather. My Titanium Mariott Bonvoy membership was recognised and I was treated to a suite upgrade plus, late checkout and access to the lounge which includes afternoon tea plus drinks service. The only cons in my opinion were: the walk to the rooms located at the end of the hall is long, the food served during afternoon tea and dinner in the lounge is not as good as I’d expect and the location is far from the main tourist attractions but is close to Korea town and business centres.

It is one of the most beautiful, luxurious and iconic property that has hosted scores of World leaders. Besides the Architecture and facilities provided in the property, it has perhaps the most hospitable, efficient and caring staff. |From the time we arrived, we were greeted by Mr Sumit, who was looking after Guest Relations. Sumit was with us like a shadow who looked after our each and every requirement. He has an amazing attitude of dealing with Guests' needs promptly and efficiently. Though he is very young, he is very confident, articulate, is pleasant and has excellent communication skills.|Two things are worth mentioning. Firstly, my Wife is a Vegetarian. Sumit coordinated with the Chefs and ensured that She got the desired food in all her meals. Secondly, one morning my Wife realized that She has lost or dropped her Diamond Solitaire Ring set in Gold. She was not sure whether the Ring was dropped/ lost in our room, in the Hotel that has 450 Rooms and 6 Restaurants or outside the Hotel.|We requested Sumit and Ms Oanh, House Keeping Supervisor to try and look for the Ring. To our utter delight, the Ring was located within an hour. It was found lying intact on the carpeted floor of the Restaurant where we had our Breakfast.|During past 45 years I have travelled to at least 50 Countries and from Gold Coast to Alaska. I have not experienced such level of warmth, hospitality, commitment and eagerness to deliver as I have experienced in this property. It is persons like Sumit and Oanh who leave an imprint on the Guest's mind and make a Hotel property different from others.

A beautiful hotel with excellent service. As Marriott Titanium members, the lounge is easily one of the best in the world. Staff were excellent and food/drink in the lounge were excellent. Our room was lovely too. ||The ride into town can be slow due to traffic but it’s actually nice staying out of the main bit of the city. It’s also much easier for the airport.

We have stayed in Marriotts around the United States and a few outside the US, and this location by far was the very best. They really gave us a master class on how luxury hotel stays should look, feel, and taste. ||Upon arrival, we received the usual greeting upon exiting our vehicle and were escorted to the front desk. There was a seamless handoff to the desk, no wait check-in, followed by an escort to our suite with a tour given by Hiep, our incredible receptionist. The extraordinary service continued throughout our 5-day stay. In fact, we were initially staying there for 3 days, and extended our stay because of our experience. ||The food was amazing. We had drinks and snacks at the JW Cafe and dessert at the JW Patisserie. The executive lounge was superb, and the Wong Chi Ming restaurant was exquisite. There we had to crab, and my wife said it was the best she's ever had. I must also mention my friend, the awesome Viet Ahn, our server, who introduced me to Vietnamese egg coffee. Ahn's personality and service were amazing as well. Overall, after 35 countries, this was by far our best hotel experience ever!

One of the best luxury hotels in Hanoi! The balcony room is perfect for smokers — finally, a place where you can enjoy the view and your bad habits at the same time. The scenery from the room is so good it almost made me forget about my emails. The breakfast buffet? Easily top two of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed at — and I’ve done enough “research” to be considered an expert. I’ll definitely come back if I have time (and appetite).
