The restaurant is housed in a charming old building that is lighted so warmly by Edison lights with warm, rich wooden tones - it’s a joy just walking in. The menu is well crafted and interesting. I was drawn by the promise of farm to table an availability of dishes for gluten sensitive individuals. But I was struck by flavor combinations. I don’t quite understand. I was excited to try the blue cornbread because it’s gluten-free. And it is good, but the combination of flavor flavors is hard to describe and I am smelling a spice that I cannot quite figure out. I’m not a fan of the onion on it. And I think I would lean harder into this as a sweet dish. But I definitely enjoyed it. I ordered the brisket tacos, and I was confused by the presentation. It’s build your own style, but it does not come with any greenery. I asked for cilantro to be brought with it. The meat has a wonderful flavor, but it is serve with a minimal amount of flavorful cilantro Crema. It’s not enough so I had to ask for something more because I struggle with swallowing dry meats. I asked for a barbecue sauce but unfortunately, the house barbecue sauce has a strong vinegar and water base with a light layer of ketchup. It’s not a Texas or St. Louis style that I might be accustomed to. They were good, but my advice get some greenery with it and some kind of sauce to moisten it. I think it would be lovely with a garlic sauce. Or maybe just a jus. I ordered a drink which was seasonal and interesting but I substituted vodka for tequila . It was a coconut cream with cinnamon and falernum, but then it had a strange note of pineapple that just seemed like a cast away in the beverage and me swapping in the vodka may have taken away something important in the flavor mix . I wouldn’t get it again, but I would certainly try some of the other interesting cocktails they offer. I love a good house speciality drink. They didn’t really have much in the way of desserts for the gluten-free set, but you lucky wheat eaters have a bevy of delicious desserts to choose from. There was a crème brûlée lemon flavor I believe. But because of the bizarre flavor combinations we had already experienced, I wasn’t ready to risk it on the crème brûlée. My husband had steak served on what I believe was a potato hash. The presentation is interesting and the flavor was good. The most memorable part about the meal came at the end when our check was delivered in a real Book. The book was interesting with an almanac of predictions from 20 years ago. It was fun to flip through them. Our waitress was a sweetheart, and she was very patient trying to help us with our meals. I really wanted to love his restaurant because it has so much promise, but what I sampled was just confusing. I think I would have more luck if I was to have a burger and fries. But the options were limited for the gluten-free set. And all they had a lovely assortment of fresh ice creams, but it appeared that many of them had wheat in them. I think the chefs did a lovely job in their preparation and presentation, but I think you need to work on your flavor combinations. You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel. One thing about this restaurant , it’s not pretentious. It’s delightfully casual, so come as you are and feel comfortable in whatever you’re wearing. The staff are dressed in baggy jeans and workout clothes, so no one’s judging you here. I love that the food is locally sourced with the names of all the purveyors given. It’s a wonderful idea, and if I’m ever in Wichita, I will come back to enjoy the outdoor portion. I’ll bring y’all my favorite barbecue sauce, which is made locally here in Edmond, Oklahoma gluten-free with no high fructose corn syrup and just the right amount of heat. It would be the perfect pairing with your brisket. I think your cornbread would be good with the barbecue sauce too.

The food here is amazing!! Deja was our waitress and she was an angel. She was so attentive and was so accommodating to our party needing separate checks. She had such a calming presence, gave great recommendations and overall we just had fantastic service from her, and all of the other Public staff who brought us food. I cannot overstate how delicious this food was. My steak special was perfectly cooked and I had to stop myself from licking my plate. The cereal milk was also so tasty! I’ll be coming back the next time I’m in Wichita and recommending this place to anyone else who visits! Highly highly recommend!!

We had our son and daughter in law’s wedding reception at the Public. They wanted a brunch with a mimosa bar. The Public staff went above our expectations to take care and create a special event. Brooke was very responsive through our planning and many questions. By the day of the event I had no worries. They worked with Bagatelle to have the cake delivered and on beautiful display for the event. The buffet brunch was fresh and unique. Our guests were excited by the variety; cardamon whip cream on waffles, fresh fruit with a honey mint dressing, roasted potatoes, bacon, eggs, etc.! I highly recommend the public for special events. The staff was attentive and helpful through the entire reception! I could go on and on!

Google
Pizza was great! Never had one quite like it. The Mayfair salad was pretty standard, but I didn't like the croutons. Felt a bit overpriced for the amount of food, even though it was the lunch special. I'd forgive that, but the bartender was terrible. Literally sat at the bar and couldn't even get a refill. The guy that brought my food and the hostess were really nice though.

Google
Sat at the bar and my bartender had no service skills. I ordered a beer and had to ask for a glass. It was not chilled and she didn't pour it. She had no personality and seemed very unhappy. Dive bars have better service. They give you a paper menu but you have to scan a Qr code to see how the food is prepared (what's on it, what comes with it, etc..). Why even bother with a paper menu then?? Horrible happy hour. Only 2 draft beers on special . No wine or wells. The burger and fries were really good.

Place was great. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed at 630 when we went. Came from out of state and wanted a local thing and this place delivered and was delicious.

Stopped in on a Tuesday night about 8pm for a few beers with my daughter. There was an election party in progress so we sat at the bar. They had a nice beer selection and out server was friendly. Fortunately the candidate was on our team and was winning. :)

Google
We got both the brisket tacos and shrimp tacos, the pizza pizza the mayfair salad for food. All of it, especially the brisket tacos, was insanely good! Their public smash cocktail is as delicious as it is strong.

Yelp
All the meals were fabulous!! Drinks did not disappoint. Live music on the patio was soooo good !!! We will be back!!

Yelp
Somehow ate here two nights in a row and tried two different things and neither was blowing me away in terms of flavor. Soba noodles for salmon were pretty bland. I think if you're out getting a drink and trying the apps those are pretty good such as the cauliflower and cheese curds.

Yelp
Food: 3/5 Just not polished enough for the price. The risotto was undercooked. They have some burger was good but overcooked and nothing special. They have meat and cheese platter was good but overpriced. The salad was del ious but difficult to eat. The lettuce and green beans made each bite a trial by spillage. Service: 4/5 Good, no issues but didn't wow me. Our server was engaging but you shouldn't need to ask us if we want a refill of soda, you should just bring one, especially since we said we would want all the refills the first time. Ambiance: 3/5 Shabby which was intentional and a bit dusty, messy, and overly eclectic in a "not good" way. Trying for something and missing it by a small margin. Again, lacking a certain polish.

Yelp
My meal at Public became a three-hour affair after we moved out onto the outdoor patio for after-dinner drinks. The outdoor space is strewn with twinkle lights surrounding a live band. It was kind of magical, with the lights and music. The glasses of wine helped, too. Public is a great place to visit during the warmer months when you can sit on the patio with a band. Before all of this, though, we had dinner indoors. Public offers pub food, but it's really good pub food. I was with a group, so we ordered a bunch of different appetizers: the pickle plate, spicy cauliflower, blue cornbread, and chef's charcuterie board. The spicy cauliflower was my favorite! I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, because I'm a little cauli-tired, to be honest. There's cauliflower everything everywhere. But this was spicy and savory and sweet. The cornbread -- made with blue corn -- was unusual but very good. It's served in a small skillet with butter and hot honey. Public makes Wichita-style pizza, so I ordered one of those. A personal pizza can serve two people easily, maybe even three. I got the Bassano, which is chicken, burrata, mozzarella and pesto. It was OK, but the crust was a little too bready for my taste. I guess that's what Wichita pizza is like. My pizza was my least favorite thing that I tased; I really loved all of the appetizers. This is the kind of American restaurant that most people will find something to order. They have sliders and pizza and wings and things. I think if I were you, I'd order an appetizer and a drink, and take it outside to the patio to enjoy. They have great appetizers here, and a great outdoor space.

Yelp
I came here for a solo dinner on a Saturday evening. It was pretty busy, but I was seated quickly at the bar. Food: I ordered the mayfair salad and the mushroom baos. The mayfair salad was delicious. The mushroom baos were okay. There was something in the baos that did not feel cohesive, but I wasn't sure what the issue was. Service: Service at the bar was great. I was served by the bartenders, and everyone was great! The food was served promptly as well. TL;DR - Great service at the bar, skip the mushroom baos but get the mayfair salad

Yelp
Wichita Wings and house made blue cheese outstanding!!! Great place chill and great service

Yelp
We sat at the bar, and the service was wonderful. Brian, thank you! He was all over it. I ordered the tri... burger. It was tasty, but not amazing. The fries were avidable. Sorry! They were blah. Weak in flavor and no body. You can do better! The beers were awesome.... nice list.

Yelp
Slow service and the food is not worth the price. We made a reservation for 1pm on Mother's day hoping to enjoy their special menu. We were seated 20 minutes after and then learned they ran out of the special menu items. The hostess got our seating wrong even after clarifying it. Overall not a great experience worth doing again. Staff seemed as miserable as we were too.

Yelp
Hand made from start to finish. From the sauces to the pickles on the smash burger, it's exactly what you hope for with a homemade, local restaurant.

Yelp
Good salad but rest of food was overpriced and mediocre. Brisket tacos horrible. Bad service:

Yelp
We stopped here to celebrate Juneteenth; always wanting to try new-to-us places. I ordered the Pastrami, a version of a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut and swiss cheese. It was extremely tasty and tender! I really enjoyed it; especially the soft roll rather than grilled rye bread was a wonderful delivery. I had the potato salad and this, too, was a surprise in style- pleasantly surprised. Al dente, fresh herbs and onions for crunch. VERY good. My friend had the Cobb Salad and it was a delight to the eyes as well as taste. Loved the decor and the vibe. Hope to come back for music soon. Oops - I forgot the wings! Plenty to share for two, crunchy and delicious. Service was great, too.

Yelp
Enjoyed a late night dinner here while in town and the reviews were on point. The spicy fried chicken (which was gluten free) was excellent. Great flavor and texture. My wife had the brisket tacos which were quite good as well. Only bummer was they were unable to make the curds, which I was looking forward to but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Yelp
Screaming from kitchen management has been heard on mulitiple visits. Not professional at all. Bugs were seen crawling on the floor in our most recent visit. Won't revisit after hearing how horrible they treat staff.

Yelp
I have to be honest that coming from New Orleans; I wasn't expecting much from Wichita, KS... but I was proven wrong really quickly when I visited Public! They're a Farm-To-Table spot that's known for their pizzas but also their specials. The service was spot on, attentive and helpful with suggestions. He had recommended me the pasta special of the day which featured a pesto that was just so good that I finished it wayyyy too quick. So let's go look at the photos.... Of note, I also had their orange creme brûlée! Definitely a spot to check out in Old Town Wichita @phidingthefam

Yelp
Fun place, nice service. Meager meat in the sandwich but tasty. I'd come back for the ambiance and bar service

Kelsey T.

Yelp
We were so disappointed in this visit. We came and wanted to try the bao buns and cheese curds, but unfortunately they were out of both. We then ordered the brisket tacos and salmon with noodles for our mains. The salmon was unseasoned, and the noodles were oddly pasty--my husband couldn't even finish which has literally never done that in a restaurant before. And the brisket tacos. Where to start. It was listed as main entree and the brisket was a single slice of brisket, I wasn't told but there were literally no garnishes aside from some shredded cheese. They didn't have pickled vegetables or salsa. It came with corn tortillas but with only a small amount of meat, it wasn't even appetizing. We are not picky diners and it was the most disappointing meal out we've ever experienced. The waitress was friendly and nice but sooo overpriced for what we got, go somewhere else.

Yelp
trendy bar/restaurant in basement of old downtown Wichita. Salmon Benedict was delicious and service was good.

Yelp
After driving all day, we wandered around Old Town in search of a place to satisfy both a vegetarian and a carnivore and landed here. We both had the Smash Burger - mine was housemade black bean and hubby's was beef. Both were prepared with the same toppings - secret sauce, grilled onions, and American cheese (which I opted out of). The black bean burger had both good taste and texture but dwarfed the bun! The toppings were a little skimpy and could have been more generous. We chose the garlic rosemary fries and while we both definitely tasted the rosemary, neither one of us could detect the garlic. I had a good beer (can't remember the name) and hubby enjoyed his cocktail. Jessica was an attentive server.

Yelp
Wow! My entire family was very pleased during our most recent visit -- great service, great beers, great food, great ambiance. We came while the restaurant was still decorated for the holiday season, and it was very charming and cozy. We all ordered pizzas to share, and every one of them was good. My favorite was the "bar bleu que" with brisket. The pizza crust is some of the best I've had. I also loved that they are accommodating of food allergies and they have options for both gluten free crust and dairy free cheese! Someone in our group has food allergies and it's awesome when they can still eat the same thing as everyone else. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Yelp
Really love this place...a very cool vibe! Service both times was friendly and prompt. The menu changes and I've tried a lot on it. Bao Tacos are my absolute favorite...they're perfect in every way!

Yelp
We got pizzas and ate them in the outside courtyard. It was beautiful. There were flowers and vines hanging. It was so picturesque!! The servers were kind and quick. I really had a lovely time. The checks came in the cutest used books that were written in by previous guests. It was such a wonderful experience. I 100% recommend.

Yelp
Ambiance - real cool, holiday themed Service - not real friendly, felt as if we was bothering them. Short, direct, just not friendly Food - well, they was OUT of many items and it was only 5pm. Salads not fully prepared had to ask for the dressing, bacon, etc.. Presentation was nice, burger was tasteless, tacos meat burnt and little to no cheese offered. Was not impressed at all, salmon was 86 cornbread 86. Drinks - holiday themed and was not bad but stupid priced Overall was disappointing due to their reservations and only get 90 minutes to stay and was clearly rushed, staff is irritated, but the decor was cool. Tried and won't go back.

Yelp
Super cool outdoor area, but the burger was just solid. Service - 4 Food - 4 Vibe - 5

Yelp
We stopped in Wichita on our way to Texas, and wow, we are so glad we did! This place is amazing. It was a cold (and snowy!) Saturday afternoon but they had their outdoor patio covered, with heat lamps. Bonus: they are participating in a holiday decoration event in the area, so they are fully decked out with beautiful Christmas decor. Even though it was cold outside, their heat lamps provided an absolutely perfect cozy atmosphere for my family, including our small dog. (Their patio is dog friendly) Aside from the fabulous ambiance, the food was delicious (with plenty of gluten free options too). Service was also excellent and very accommodating. We are already planning our next visit and look forward to eating there again soon!

Yelp
This is a really nice little gastropub in the basement of the building. Don't let that fool you or discourage you. We came here as a pregame to a party we were attending later. We walked in with a fairly large party and they were super accommodating to give us a large table. We ordered some drinks and appetizers and the service was outstanding and very attentive. One of the drinks they're known for is the lavender lemonatta A bunch of us had those and were super impressed. And there was no skimping in the alcohol on those drinks. We also ordered a charcuterie board which was extremely well put together and satisfied our needs as an appetizer. Excellent cheese choices, meat choices, and accoutrements. It's also next-door to an outdoor bar and entertainment venue and I imagine in the summer it's great to travel back-and-forth between the two. If you're looking for a go to in the Rock Island neighborhood of Wichita, you cannot go wrong here.

Yelp
Beautiful little basement bar with a surprising menu and even a patio! Beer selection is great and my wife says the wine MENU is "not terrible". Never a bad time to go to Public. #NSAYF

Yelp
Food and atmosphere are great. Drinks always good. The outdoor patio area is great for live events

Yelp
This place actually knocked our socks off! We had cheese curds that couldn't be beat. My friend had sliders, and I indulged in Mardi Gras themed king cake! :-) the drinks were amazing, and my friend said that the 1975 was "life-changing" - Would strongly recommend

Yelp
I visited here and wasn't quite sure where the entrance was. Turns out they have 2. I went in the one down some steps just beyond the sidewalk along the east side of the building. I ordered the chefs burger of the day, which had bacon jam and cheddar, grilled onions and date jam. It does not come with lettuce or tomato. For my side, I chose the steamed veggies, which is different than most restaurants since they are farm to table. Its radish, ubi and turnips. Basically a very healthy alternative to their popular fries. The burger patty is a combination of their house smoked brisket and ground beef. Their bun is even baked in house also, a sourdough poppyseed bun. Since yelp has a check in offer on dessert, I ordered one and had the pistachio cheesecake. They also have a chocolate angel food cake and a pumpkin creme brulee. Service was excellent while sitting at the bar on the center of the dining room. Overall, a good experience at one of Wichita most popular restaurants.

Yelp
Stopped here for a late night snack and cocktail. I was so excited to drink a stout called 'Don't Poke the Bear'. We use this saying all the time when we take my son's dog for a walk because she attacks me all the time (in fun) and husband says 'well you are poking the bear'. Inside joke but the name was perfect for me and the beer was tasty. We ended up splitting a margarita pizza which was very good. Two pieces left so about the right size. There were a lot of good items on the menu that I would have liked to try, Brussel sprouts special, buffalo cauliflower, pork or brisket tacos, good foodie options. There is nice patio seating for a warmer day. Our server was also the bartender and she was very helpful in introducing us to the menu. I also liked that we could get dinner options past 9pm. I'm finding so many places close their kitchen at 9pm. Glad we stopped.

Yelp
I was in town for work and my neighbor back home told be I needed to check out Old City while I was in Wichita so I gave it whirl. I went by Yelp ratings so Public seemed to be a good spot. It's a neat setup in the basement with an older setting and older items scattered throughout the place. I started by going through the beer list. It's a decent list with several varieties of both local and larger scale craft. I went with the local stout. It was pretty solid. I started with the pork belly appetizer. It was pretty good. It had good flavor but was a little over cooked. The sweet glaze and purée we good enough to help mask it. I'd say it's worth getting again. I wasn't really hungry so I asked the server what he thought between the hummus, wings and charcuterie plate. I'm not sure why I asked because I knew he was going to say the wings. He said he prefers the buffalo but the Honey BBQ compliments the fact that the wings are smoked before they're fried. I was going to be on an airplane the following day so I thought hot sauce was a bit risky so I went with BBQ. The wings were just okay. They are without a doubt the smallest wings I've ever had. A drum was probably about the size of my thumb. I'm not sure if it was the wings or the sauce but they very smokey. For a Thursday night the atmosphere was pretty solid when I got there around 630. I found out there was a country concert at the arena that started at 7. That explained why the place cleared out. If someone suggested Public I wouldn't say no but I'm not rushing to go back either.

Yelp
Kansas, this restaurant alone redeemed a lot of pre-conceptions I had about you. Like, I would faintly consider moving there ONLY if I was within a 10 mile radius from Public. [end dramatics] This restaurant is BOMB! I love going to restaurants and having flavors that I've never tried before for common dishes. They made a steak filet, pork belly, charcuterie, and salmon taste a way that I've never had them before. The steak filet was crazy tender and it was on top of a medley of potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and raisins. The pork belly was honey-glazed and sat on a butternut squash purée. The charcuterie had this magical cornbread toast thingy that paired deliciously with the meat and cheese. And the salmon cakes went so perfectly with the lemon wedge. I mean.....the chefs here are incredible. And Alton Brown has been there many times so that says a lot! Our server, John, was amazing and we can definitely credit him for such an amazing experience. He gave us great food/drink recommendations and gave us excellent service. The area itself (Brickyard, I think) is next to a lot of other restaurants and bars so you can make many stops in one trip! All in all, I was highly impressed and will definitely be back if I ever catch myself back in Wichita!

Yelp
We stopped in for some water but ended up getting a vietnamese sandwich even though we just hot done eatting thirty minutes prior from eggcetera and we were full but it smelled sooooo good when we walked out of the art store above! It's a nice set up and it was pretty busy but it was super good and they have a bar too! I'd definitely go back! Everything was like $11 or above but not bad or too expensive! I would definitely go back and try more items off the menu! Also I got a coupon for this place hehe so that was cool! Happy Yelping!

Yelp
As we are heading out now I had to hop on to write a review so no one else is mislead by the rave reviews shown on thier website. To begin, we did have a server in training I can't say it was 100% her fault....while she may have been having trouble with knowing "server 101" the bad food trumped anything she could have done. While I won't even bother mentioning all the things that she did...I will say it may have contributed to this fiasco but she can't be all to blame. We order a margarita pizza and a kimchi fried chicken sandwich with fries. The food was awful and cold (so could have been server lack of attention and therefore caused delay in getting to the table or it was all on the kitchen), the pizza was more of a frozen pizza with heavy crust that was cover in garlic salt..so weird. It wasn't yeast crust it was more like a cracker meets a dried breadstick all covered in garlic salt. The Kimchi chicken was a oven baked (NO WAY FRIED) and dried out piece of chicken and looked anemic (look at photo) NOT FRIED and it came with fries that tasted good but were also ICE cold. All I can say is if you've had good food, especially pizza, and know what friend chicken should look like and taste like then this will be a huge disappointment as your expectation will have the bar way too high for this place. It was our first and last and I plan to make sure others are aware and don't make the same mistake...there are many other better options..choose those...AVOID...

Yelp
Great place to eat and have great conversations. We were here for a weekend trip and it was the perfect place for brunch. The service was amazing and our waiters stayed on top of our drinks and checking in on us.

Yelp
We love Public! The menu is full of unique, tasty items and there is a great drink menu. They often have a selection of seasonal beers that are hard to find on tap at local restaurants, too. The ambience is also unique, and the service is always great. This is our go-to birthday spot for all of these reasons. Their gf menu isn't extensive but the servers are always knowledgeable and the kitchen is great about accommodating. (I'm gluten/wheat sensitive, not celiac.)

Yelp
It's a long haul from OKC to Denver. Wichita is what I consider the first leg of the trip. There are lots of food options, and Public sounded great for lunch. Walking up to the restaurant, the street reminded me a little bit of New Orleans. I really liked the feel of the area with the old brick roads. Luckily it was a late lunch, because we were informed that they get super busy for lunch from the downtown crowd. It was about 1:30 and there were just a couple other people there. We sat at the bar which is always our preference. My husband and I split the turkey panini. I'm so glad I chose the potato salad for the side. It was great! It tasted just like deviled eggs. I can definitely see myself being a regular here if I lived in the area. The staff was very friendly, and they have a great beer selection with a lot of local options.

Yelp
Went there on a Friday- had nice live music- great food and drinks! Saturday is a nice place for family or just a night out with friends!

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite spots in town. The Owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and they take amazing care of their customers. Beyond that the drinks and food are top notch and priced fairly. These things paired with the overall ambiance make it a Wichita favorite for many!

Yelp
First time visitor and it won't be the last. A group of us trusted other yelpers and found our way downstairs to the Public space -- and were rewarded for our trip. I ordered the brisket - which was an understated filet of juicy goodness with a subtle layer of BBQ sauce/glaze on the top. It was honestly the most satisfying brisket I've ever had. Accompanying my cast iron-served meat was a small dish of pickled vegetables, including a sliced jalepeno that was surprisingly spicy. The entree didn't come with fries (a possible area for improvement), but I shared a basket with a friend and found them to be incredibly tasty. My dinner-mates had various plates (pulled pork, salad, etc.) and were all satisfied -- although, I didn't get any bites -- so will withhold comments on those dishes. I will be back...

Yelp
Amazing food, had the short rib dinner myself with blue corn tortillas and 2 dressings. The short rib was probably in my top 5 experiences at a restaurant, it was that good. My wife and guests had the fillet, all 3 plates looked fantastic with a sliced potato on there. I tried a piece of my wife's fillet, it was good perfectly and melted in my mouth like butter. The location is a little unusual for a place serving such high end meals. It was like walking into a speakeasy back in the 20s. Decor was somewhat eclectic but it really just added to a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Liked everything about this restaurant! Service was great, food was hot, and the vibe was cool. It doesn't allow for much quiet romance because of the open concept. Had a table that continued to get louder and louder as the drinks were served. Try it; great food!

Yelp
The food is sooo great. Bison burgers and a wedge salad. Simply delicious and full of flavor. Try it ! You will appreciate the atmosphere!

Yelp
The service was great and all the nail artists were very sweet. My artist didn't feel fully confident in the design but she nailed it! I've never had a bad experience at Trende and will definitely be back soon

Yelp
I have visited Public a dozen times over the past year going back and forth between Wichita and San Francisco. I will give it a 3 star, although each visit alternates between 2 and 3 stars, with the occasional 4. Location and decor: 4.5 stars. Old Town is a prime location in Wichita filled with bars and restaurants and music venues. Public is in the basement with brick vaults and pretty casual decor, but it is attractive and cozy. The bar is well stocked and bartenders know how to mix good cocktails. Service: 4.5 stars. The folks are friendly and attentive. Food: 2-3. The menu is tired. Especially when you don't have specials, the menu needs to rotate more often. Since I have been coming here in March of 2016 the menu has not changed. At all. Same choices. Every. Single. Time. How often am I going to have the filet stacked on a bed of greens. Or the pizzas. Or the cauliflower appetizer. Or, or, or. The quality is OK, it's decent food, but a bit on the pricey side for a Wichita, KS. Yet I still come here maybe once a quarter - mostly because it is on OpenTable (note to the vast majority of restaurants in Wichita that are not on OpenTable: if you signed up for it, we would come). Wine list: 1 star: it is non-existent. Need to address.

Yelp
Ok, I found an absolute fave in my hometown. This place is smashing! Amazing food (what I have tried, which admittedly is limited), great signature drinks, terrifically friendly staff and fellow patrons, and world class all-day-long-patio potential. In fact, I spent about 5 hours on it my first leisurely Saturday afternoon here. We came with the hound, after brunch at a supremely mediocre chain restaurant, and it was marvelously relaxed and unbusy on their cool, shady patio. I nibbled enthusiastically on my friends green beans (they're apparently legendary around these parts, and rightly so) and the table's fries. Wow. Didn't try the entrees myself, but these sides are fiiiiiiiiine. We drank and we gabbed and everyone was so friendly and the prices so easy to absorb. It was a great afternoon in a really enjoyable, unique environment that was designed by some extremely creative restaurateurs. I'm not even going to tell you the kooky details because it was so cool to experience it without expectations. Just go. 5 stars all day long. Thanks for cultivating gastropubbery in Wichita!

Yelp
Burger was sooo good! Fries were just ok for me. Drinks were strong and I liked that they were unique! Patio is lovely, and service out there was great! Overall, I wish I'd come here sooner!
