Southern Delights by Michele - 100% Gluten Free Bakery

Since I live in Trent, I don't get to come here often. We live 30 minutes away from her location next to Hobby Lobby. I bought banana bread, cookies, and chicken pot pie the last time I visited (November 5th). The chicken pot pie was the only item that was a little disappointing. After I ate it for dinner, I felt hungry an hour later. If there was more chicken or simply a balanced ratio of chicken to veggies, it would be perfect. Just my opinion, no hate. Michelle, if you're reading this, thank you for talking to me about the problems of having Celiac's. Drastically changing your diet is not easy. By the way, will y'all be open on Thanksgiving Day?

I got a piece of pizza and ended up and sitting down and eating and visiting with the owner. Had a lovely conversation. The pizza was awesome. Will definitely be back. Did not try anything else yet at this point but it all looked awesome.

Everything from ordering to pickup was perfect. We had a special order and vision for our son’s 18th birthday cake… we could not have asked for a better cake! When we arrived to pickup, the sweet girl at the counter was so kind and friendly that we couldn’t say no to also picking up some oat meal cream pies and a slice of honey bun cheesecake. Will definitely be back for more and a slice or two of pizza. Thank you for making our celebration perfect!

Phenomenal! I got a gluten free coconut cake for my daughter and am so impressed by this most flavorful, dense, moist cake. The frosting is amazing too! I can be picky when it comes to frosting especially buttercream because I have had gritty-too sweet and this was just right without the gritty. This was my first time ordering and my daughter has to have gluten free. This is better than Any cake I have had including cake that is not gluten free. Highly recommended!

Southern Delights by Michele is amazing!! She made my birthday cake back in March and now with her storefront I am always looking forward to what’s available everyday!! She does a fantastic job! Her opening this gluten free bakery has made me one happy lady!

Southern Delights by Michele is amazing! I’m not from Abilene but stopped there before Thanksgiving and will be going back soon! So so good and LOVE that it’s a dedicated Gluten Free bakery with lots of delicious Dairy Free treats too!! Plus when I was there I believe the owner helped me and was super sweet even though they were swamped with Thanksgiving orders. Hope they have many many super successful years in Abilene!!! 🥳

We bought a red velvet cake, an oatmeal cream pie, and cinnamon rolls from here. I was hesitant about the taste since I'm not gluten free, but everything was fantastic! We will definitely be getting desserts from here again!

My family and I stopped by here to pick up some treats yesterday. So far I've only eaten the banana nut bread and the oatmeal cream pie, both delicious! I've been missing bread so much and that little loaf really hit the spot. I can't wait to dig into the twilight Brownie! The guy that works there was so nice and patient with us. We took forever deciding what we wanted. I can't wait to go back and try some more of these gluten free goodies! Thank you for providing me with treats that don't cause me pain! 🩷
