Southern Delights by Michele - 100% Gluten Free Bakery

HOLY CRAP!!! best GLUTEN FREE i have ever had!! My husband and i drove from LBK Michelle stayed open late for us, and it blessed us soo much! Her Banana cookie is to DIE FOR literally taste like banana bread in a cookie but 1000x more flavorful wish i would have bought all of them. We got numerous items and not one let us down. Michelle you have definitely perfected gluten free. Keep doing what you’re doing because this is a God send for so many people. Also every time we eat gluten free its dense, dry and crumbly, this is far from it. Do not miss out on this little shop totally worth the drive and-the stop.

I always have to do my own baking since I can't have gluten, and I haven't mastered a solid cinnamon roll dough recipe yet so I'm always on the lookout for a dedicated gf bakery when I'm traveling. I saw this one on my way through Texas and stopped and I am SO glad that I did. The oatmeal cream pies were just as good as the ones I make myself, soft nicely spiced cookies and light fluffy filling. My husband got some pumpkin snickerdoodles and they were soft and chewy and also perfectly spiced. But the cinnamon rolls are the star of the show for me. I got a pan of 6 and they rode the rest of our 9 hour drive home and sat in the fridge overnight, and I warmed one in the microwave this morning and was completely blown away. The dough has the perfect fluffy/chewy texture and the filling is very reminiscent of a Cinnabon, and the frosting was light and tangy and delicious. The woman working was also very friendly and helpful explaining what things were and what holiday specials they had available. Thank you for satisfying my craving for a good cinnamon roll!! We will be stopping in for treats every time we make that particular road trip to visit family. There were a lot of great looking cupcakes and cheesecake and cookies. Next time I will be trying some cheesecake for sure. I hope the shop gets a bigger sign in the future, because it was hard to spot it next to the big sushi place with their massive sign, but we drove slow and finally spotted it.

Discovered this place by chance. My daughter really wanted gingerbread men. She did not like the cookie cutter I tried to buy to make our own so I started reaching out to bakeries. I have never had gluten free anything haha, but decided to give this place a shot. I might also add I don't typically like gingerbread men. These were 10 out of 10. I was slightly shocked haha. It is a little pricey, but so worth it. Honestly it may not be any pricier than any other bakery since this was my first bakery purchase in years haha.

I got a piece of pizza and ended up and sitting down and eating and visiting with the owner. Had a lovely conversation. The pizza was awesome. Will definitely be back. Did not try anything else yet at this point but it all looked awesome.

Southern Delights by Michele is amazing!! She made my birthday cake back in March and now with her storefront I am always looking forward to what’s available everyday!! She does a fantastic job! Her opening this gluten free bakery has made me one happy lady!

Since I live in Trent, I don't get to come here often. We live 30 minutes away from her location next to Hobby Lobby. I bought banana bread, cookies, and chicken pot pie the last time I visited (November 5th). The chicken pot pie was the only item that was a little disappointing. After I ate it for dinner, I felt hungry an hour later. If there was more chicken or simply a balanced ratio of chicken to veggies, it would be perfect. Just my opinion, no hate. Michelle, if you're reading this, thank you for talking to me about the problems of having Celiac's. Drastically changing your diet is not easy.

I love this new location for Southern Delights! And Michele's gluten free food is soooo tasty. I have celiac disease, and I am so grateful for a place where I don't have to worry at all about cross contamination! What a gift to our community!

My family and I stopped by here to pick up some treats yesterday. So far I've only eaten the banana nut bread and the oatmeal cream pie, both delicious! I've been missing bread so much and that little loaf really hit the spot. I can't wait to dig into the twilight Brownie! The guy that works there was so nice and patient with us. We took forever deciding what we wanted. I can't wait to go back and try some more of these gluten free goodies! Thank you for providing me with treats that don't cause me pain! 🩷
