Went for late breakfast, I had the bacon pancakes I think they are called. Really really delicious and the pancakes were not overpowered by the bacon. I had the famous Gilbert House cinnamon roll to go and heated it up later. Next time I will definitely ask for the cream cheese frosting on the side so it doesn't bake. Still delicious and yes there will be a next time. Weather was great and we sat outside where there was not very much road noise at

Google
Super cool little breakfast & brunch restaurant in an old home. The atmosphere is relaxed; the service was friendly and attentive; and the food was very good. The hash browns just might be some of the best we’ve had in a long time; they were tasty and fried crispy.

I just wanted to say, I moved back in Az in 2022 & that’s where I discovered this Gem. I consistently go to The Gilbet House-for breakfast for every celebration and milestones. I come here for breakfast dates, anniversary’s, celebrations & and even on bad days. Point is- this has become one of our go to place for great service, home cooked meals, great coffee & filled with great experiences. Good & bad days they make your day a little more special! If you try this place you WILL NOT regret it, it will turn into one of your GO TO spots. Thank you Gilbet House for the consistent great care and food 🥰🙌

Google
Such a cute little local brunch spot! The atmosphere is cozy and charming, set in what feels like an old home, which makes it extra special. The service was great, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the food was delicious, clearly made with high-quality ingredients. A true local gem. We had a lovely time and will be back!

Google
Nothing special. Food is diner style, had a few special selections that looked tasty and the coffee was great. The breakfast meal was simple, no seasoning, and basic condiments. The blueberry pancakes were soaked in watery blueberry syrup that disintegrated the flat pancakes into mush. Environment was welcoming and quiet on a weekday. Overall impression, plain, simple, uneventful, with good coffee and friendly service.

Google
What a fabulous spot for a cozy, friendly, DELICIOUS breakfast! The outdoor patio is delightful and the staff is amazing. And did I mention the food? Fresh, homemade recipes and huge portions. I can’t wait to come back!

Google
We went here this morning, and the building and atmosphere was quite nice. I had the eggs Benedict with hashbrown and a side of country gravy. The eggs Benedict was really good, but the hashbrown was some what kindve cool. Not cold, but it wasn't cooked all the way. So it was still mushy and cool. The gravy as well, it wasn't warm either. But besides those 2 things the place was alright. Might give this a shot again in the future.

Google
I really want this place to be a destination for us so I will be back to try again. I am probably giving an extra star because I want it to be better than it was. The patio was amazing. Of course weather has big influence over that. Everyone was very nice. Not exceptionally attentive to our table. But very nice when they did come by. Multiple times we found ourselves waiting for service. The menu sounds much better than some of the items we received. The good: eggs, bacon, pancakes, omelet, cinnamon roll, and adult beverages (although too much mint in the brunch punch). They seem good with the basics. The not so good: biscuits and gravy (very peppery?), hash browns (need to be cooked more), buffalo scramble, $3 canned Coke. The menu sounds so good and I considered getting the Green Chili grilled cheese and a Philly to go but after the couple of breakfast disappointments, I decided to wait for another time. In total, $120 for 4 people (2 were kids). So kinda pricey.

Yelp
Still local, value priced, delicious home made food with family flare service. The ambiance is like visiting your grandmas house for breakfast- you can sit right in the living room if you want (at a table). Outdoor patio is popular too. This is my 21st year eating here- glad to see Susan's niece keeping the family business going.

Yelp
This spot has been on my go to list for a while now and we finally made it for brunch! It's such a cute spot and theres shops nearby as well! Parking is tight, so be wary of that. I enjoyed the omelet (hatch chile) and the seasonal pumpkin French toast! the coffee was amazing as well! We plan to order some from the cave creek roasters! And we even pre-ordered skme pie for Thanksgiving! Definitely add to your brunch list! We dined early so the wait wasn't long for us but I did join the yelp waitlist as well. Definitely take those into consideration when you visit!

Yelp
This place is cute but not great for accommodating parties over 4. They do not take reservations on weekends. We came here on Sunday with a group of ten and the wait was an hour. The property is really cute and we spent some time walking around and looking at the shop. Sadly the book store was closed. Once we were sat, we waited and waited. We started looking up the menu on our phones because none were provided and our server hadn't stopped by at all. The hostess walked by and we asked her to please bring us some menus and she seemed pretty embarassed that the server hadn't come by yet. This was pretty much the theme of the experience; very slow service by a waitress who clearly seemed annoyed to be there. Not enough table settings (napkins and silverware). The kicker was when another server helped bring out the food and gave my nephew my food and insisted it was his. When I asked where my food was (everything else had come out) , the waitress motioned to my nephew And said "he took your plate". Whoa whoa whoa! Absolutely Ridiculous. Sad thing is, the good really was good, but the service was bad. We all kind of got a bad taste in our mouths and probably don't be coming back.

Yelp
The breakfast at this restaurant deserves every star. Our whole family loved their dishes, and we'll definitely be back. We started with the cinnamon roll which was warm, gooey, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the French toast, which quickly became the table's favorite, and the Country Fried Steak was fantastic as well. We arrived early in the morning and were seated pretty quickly, which was a great bonus. Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
The Gilbert House is known for their Green chili omelets and cinnamon rolls. My boyfriend and I stopped in when he was visiting as I have been wanting to try as I love green chili and cinnamon rolls. It was a rainy weekend, but they were able to give us a seat inside as I wanted to see the interior. Old style house with tea time decor. Very cute, but quaint so you definitely felt cozy next to other tables. Next visit, I'd probably choose the patio for a little more me space. Our server was super friendly and offered suggestions/answered questions. We didn't catch her name, but the receipt said Allison. Appreciate the great service and even assisting when I spilled the little container of creamer. Always get embarrassed when things like that happen, but she was super understanding and brought over new silverware and napkins. As for the food, I wanted to love it but a few items fell short in our opinion. The cold brew + marshmallow flavoring and cream was my favorite thing of my meal. We ordered the caramel apple cinnamon roll ($7.50) to share to start the meal and we felt the dough was a little tight making it tough (possibly dough overworked and/or not proofed long enough). It could be the batch, so I'd always be willing to try as the center of the roll was delicious. Especially with the fall toppings. For my meal, I ordered the green chili omelet. Some of the elements worked, and others I genuinely questioned. For example, the chunks of cream cheese in the middle seemed strange as they were large resulting in a mouthful of cream cheese with only egg. Additionally, the green chili lacked much flavor or heat. I was disappointed, but must say my boyfriend's blueberry pancakes were fluffy and extremely delicious. We both said we'd return for those. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would return to order different items and get the blueberry pancakes again.

Yelp
This local breakfast/lunch spot always looks so busy with a lot of people standing outside waiting for a table. I finally had breakfast here with a friend on a Saturday morning. They don't take reservations on weekends (unless it's for their special after hours dinners), but they do have a waitlist on Yelp. I didn't check the waitlist until I parked around 9:20am, and I was 11th in line! The wait was not too bad though for two people - 20 minutes later, I got a text that my table was ready. There is limited parking to the north and south of the restaurant, so plan accordingly. Also, the waitlist says the entire party must be present to be seated - not sure if they enforce that or not. They have a Fall menu right now - lots of pumpkin and apple flavors. We shared the Pumpkin Pancakes Shortstack ($9.95) and added a side of Apple Cider Sauce ($1) and Caramel Sauce ($1). We were not told of the additional charges for the sauces. The pancakes had a good amount of pumpkin spice and barely sweet, so it paired nicely with the sugary sauces. The Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll ($7.50) was pretty good and fluffy, though flatter than I expected. On the Breakfast menu, I got the Buffalo Scramble ($15.95). It's rare to see Buffalo on the menu, so I was curious to try. Both the scramble and hash browns lacked flavor, as if they forgot the salt. The hot sauce bottle on the table was much needed. My friend got the 2 Egg Breakfast ($12.50), and she also had to add salt to her dish. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio in cooler temps after it had just rained that morning. Our waitress, Julia, was really personable and attentive. Overall, the experience was pretty good, but I think I would only come back for the sweet menu items.

Yelp
I have a problem. I LOVE breakfast food options...like loooove them! My problem is that I never make time to eat breakfast when the food is fresh and when the really good breakfast places are open. I know....I'm not very bright. But I'm trying to be better!! One of the places I've wanted to try for a very long time is The Gilbert House. Confession: I should have tasted this place a loooong time ago! First things first, the aesthetics of this place are amazingly charming and give you that "I'm getting a homemade meal from grandma's kitchen" feel. Definitely adds to the experience. I was met immediately by Olivia (amazing!) and given a seat quickly. She walked me through the menu and I sooo wanted to try everything she suggested. I went with the Spicy Chorizo Omelet with a side or Corned Beef Hash (I almost got the Apple Pancakes as well.....next time!). While I waited for my selections, the Owner, Caitlin, came out and checked on me, a huge plus in my book! Without her saying it, you could tell how much passion and pride she has in the legacy she is carrying on and genuinely enjoys and appreciates everyone who stops in to experience her food. I love that! The food was amazing, the staff are amazing and the food is amazing (did I say that already?)! On a scale of 1 to 10, if you appreciate good fresh food, love to eat in a uniquely timeless place with character and charm, you need to check this out! I will be back to try the pancakes, and the green chili omelet, the French Toast, and, and, and...! PS, Makenna.....I'm so sorry I shut the door on you! Please forgive me :)

Yelp
We found this place by pure luck one Saturday after swimming lessons. We lucked out with a wait because there wasn't one when we got there, but if we go back, we will definitely wait for the food because it's that good! It is a busy place, a house turned into a restaurant, so very close quarters, but it was fine. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and they all were so kind to my son too!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was totally on point! Lots of happy bellies! But maybe the best part was our server was amazing!!! We came with 4 kids and 3 adults and she took great care of us every step of the way. She engaged with the children with respect and playfulness. 100% would come back here!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to give this Gilbert House Restaurant a try and we are so glad we did. We sat outside in the covered patio area and the weather was very forgiving for once. The food was amazing. Probably one of the best blueberry pancakes we have experienced. We also tried the California Benedict, also yummy and the coffee and Orchard Hug was delicious. The service was great and it made our morning. Thank You Gilbert House Staff! (Let's not forget about the kitchen staff working tirelessly behind the scenes! This is a definite repeat place. If you haven't tried them yet, give it a go!

Yelp
This past weekend, my husband and I were wanting to get some breakfast inside of cooking at home. We've always driven past The Gilbert House, and decided to come by. I don't know what we expected for a Saturday morning, but it was busy! There is plenty of parking throughout the lot and various other buildings and stores. We got our name put in and was told it would be 30 minutes, so we walked around. We came back 20 minutes later, and some time had passed - it seems they had given our table away when they called my husband's name. They were able to get us seated immediately, and offered to get a high chair for my toddler. We had a very nice server - she was very bubbly and sweet. We decided to sit outside, and it was pretty windy out. They had a basket of blankets in the front for anyone who was cold - that was very nice! We opted out since we were already wearing our own sweaters. As for the food - it was good! Sometimes, simplicity is key, and that is what we wanted. -Homemade cinnamon roll -Blueberry pancakes -Green chili omelet -House made corned beef hash I would absolutely recommend the green chili with chorizo. I didn't order with any meat, but I think it would have rounded out the flavors nicely! You must order the cinnamon roll - it was so tender and sweet. It was great with my house coffee. I would love to come here again when the weather warms up. It was charming and I can see why it is so popular!

Yelp
A Hidden Gem in Gilbert - Highly Recommend! We had the pleasure of dining at The Gilbert House for lunch on a Sunday around 12:30, and it was packed--always a great sign! The restaurant itself is an actual charming house, which adds to its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating is a fantastic option when the weather in Arizona is nice, making for a perfect dining experience. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful--so kind, attentive, and helpful, especially since it was my first time there. She made a great recommendation, and I went with the Southwest Organic Chicken Breast Sandwich with fries and a refreshing tea--it was delicious! Others in our group ordered the cheeseburger, green chili omelet, and BLT, and everyone was more than happy with their meals. Even though they close at 2:00, we ended up staying a little past that time, and the staff remained so friendly and accommodating. That kind of service makes a place even more special! If you're looking for a quaint, welcoming spot with great food and service, I highly recommend The Gilbert House. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I love the cozy little houses in this area that are restaurants and businesses. My friend and I had brunch at the Gilbert house and it was a great experience. We walk into an adorable little house with lots of outdoor seating as well. You are greeted by a fantastic hostess, who sits us down immediately. The menu is not very big, but it has lots of yummy interesting meals. I ordered the bison scramble. My friend ordered a 2 egg breakfast. We were both happy with our food Very well made and good portion size. The bison was good, not at all what I had thought it would be not gaming or salty. Next time I'll try to bison burger. The service was really amazing and we ran into so many friendly people in this establishment. Good job Gilbert House. We will return.

Yelp
One of our favorites for breakfast and now for dinner too!! Breakfast has delicious omelettes, house baked muffins and always full coffee. Staff and owner are super friendly. We love supporting local businesses like Gilbert House! And now they're open for dinner. Burgers were delicious!
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
Pleasant and unique place for breakfast! The buffalo omelet was tasty, food was served quickly, and server Julia was friendly. The cinnamon roll was above average with a nice cream cheese icing. The buffalo omelet had buffalo and a bunch of veggies in it. Hash browns were cooked well. Sat on the outside patio in the shade and it was still nice at 9am in the morning in late July. Will go again!
google avatar

Jamie J.

Yelp
I'm hesitant to give this place such a raving review because I don't want it to lose its intimate charm, but I have no other choice! The outdoor seating is perfect when the weather is fitting and the indoor seating is cozy. Each time we go, we tend to make friends with someone sitting near us; just as a small-town business should be. The food is incredibly fresh and today's plate was no different. The chef made their quiche in scramble form since I'm not able to do dairy and the tastes blew me away! Hot chocolate was delicious (yes, even my oat milk version). If you have a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend starting with the homemade cinnamon roll, you will never go wrong. I simply can't say enough positives about this place. Just don't share it with too many people ;-)

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday morning about 10:30. They had customers but not even close to full. It took about 5 minutes before a waitress showed up and brought us water. We were hoping she'd take our order then, but she did not. After about 10 minutes she came and took our order. We ordered a cinnamon roll for the table and asked for it to be delivered first. After waiting another 15 minutes she delivered our food and then the cinnamon roll. I ordered the tuna melt which was not good as it tasted either old or they use an inferior type of tuna. My husband ordered the blueberry pancakes and they were flavorless and small for the price. Our grandson ordered the corn beef hash and the serving did not come close to filling him up. The corn beef was dry and again flavorless. The little house is charming and it is disappointing nothing else was. Needless to say, we will not go back.
google avatar

Darlene A.

Yelp
Special shout out to Caitlyn for accommodating our family's special request for the famous Italian cheesecake. Special same delivery too! She definitely made our trip! So delicious
google avatar

Karen E.

Yelp
Homemade from scratch breakfast and lunch!! ... And Gilbert House after Dark specialty dinners ....I love Italian date night!! They even had their niece playing violin to add to the ambiance .Check their site for dates and information. The restaurant is in a 1928 Sears Catalog Craftsman home. I met the owner Caitlin Erickson and learned that Gilbert House was passed down by her Aunt, Susan Wright, who had owned the restaurant for over 21 years. Real family owned business. Gilbert House prides itself in using the freshest of ingredients And everything is homemade... Like eating at your grandmother's house. The 1928 Sears Catalog Craftsman home is just like your grandmother's home!! Wholesome yummy food!! Treat yourself to this amazing restaurant.....my very favorite!!!

Yelp
We've been wanting to try out this place for a long time, and it definitely lived up to our expectations! Not only was the food fantastic, but all of the little shops are super interesting, like the "literal bookshop" and nearby small wedding venue.
google avatar

Steven J.

Yelp
The Gilbert house was definitely a place we will be going back to. It has a family vibe atmosphere which is always welcoming and Cole their hostess is a very respectful young man who will make your wait very pleasant. The food was amazing and very fresh our server I think her name was Stephanie lets us know about her favorite dishes and they didn't disappoint. It was very packed but I see why it is. If your looking for a breakfast/brunch for the family this is a hidden gem in a small house
google avatar

Ruben V.

Yelp
This place is the definition of the word cost. It's literally a house and the smallest restaurant I've ever been to. I heard the Green Chili Omelet was good and it was.
google avatar

Alison B.

Yelp
Our new favorite discovery in the area! This charming restaurant is part of the original village of Gilbert, surrounded by five other original homesteads. We came for breakfast on the weekend and everything was fabulous. The pancakes are delicious. The coffee was exceptional... and the green chile omelet is the best egg dish I've had in years. The service was friendly and outstanding - felt like everyone here knows each other and they treat all visitors like extended family. It is not only charming, but upbeat. LOVE this place and if there's a wait to get a table - it's worth the wait!
google avatar

Kitana J.

Yelp
I went for my birthday and the vibe is so cute. The food was great. Definitely try the cinnamon roll!

Yelp
Accidentally found this place leaving a meeting the other day. It was a little area that is really nice. Cute has a bunch of little restaurants and businesses right off of Gilbert Road. The place it not very big inside but they have a nice amount of outdoor seating. The staff was really friendly and helpful. it was very peaceful and relaxing. I sat outside And read and had coffee and breakfast. They do not have flavored creams for the coffees, but they do have flavored syrups. The server told me that the pancakes were very popular and very good so that's what I ordered and I was not disappointed at all. They were extremely good and I was very happy with them. This is a place I definitely would recommend the near Gilbert downtown area. I will absolutely will try this place again because they did have a couple of different things on the menu that I would like to try and as I said the atmosphere was very nice. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Parking 5/5 Location 5/5 Return Factor 5/5

Yelp
I recently went to Gilbert House for breakfast with the family. The food was solid and didn't disappoint. The real differentiator was the vibe of the place. The layout was beautiful giving off a feeling of eating at home. The space was comfortable and clean. The structure was felt like a small home (in a great way). The staff were friendly and conversational. They very helpful and attentive. I would gladly dine there again.
google avatar

Jill S.

Yelp
We sat outside and the porch was spacious and dog friendly. We shared a cinnamon roll and all loved it. The kids and I really enjoyed our service and meals.

Yelp
Have been wanting to get to the east side for some time and decided to make a trip to The Gilbert House and I am glad I did. Got there on a Saturday morning about 8:45 and was seated inside by 9. The staff were attentive, the food was good, and the coffee was strong, just what I needed. Ordered the Spicy Chorizo omelette and a banana walnut pancake. The food was delicious and the coffee never stopped. The atmosphere was great. There are several shops in the village and it was nice to see the sense of community, they had a kids yoga class going on under the pavilion. If you get to Gilbert, it's a good place to eat.
google avatar

Krissy H.

Yelp
Great find that we found, small place with indoor and outdoor seating. the food was delicious. Had chicken fried steak. Some of the better chicken fried steak we've had I must say, the cinnamon roll was soft throughout an absolutely delicious.. We will be back

Rita C.

Yelp
Such a cute place. Met my daughter and her boyfriend for breakfast. We had a cinnamon roll for the table which was good. A little too heavy on the icing but decent. My husband said the coffee was just okay. I shared a scramble with my daughter and it was delicious. My husband's eggs benedict dish was again just okay. (Might be because they don't salt their food. My order had meat in it that was already salty so that might have been the difference.) The staff was great and over all I would come back and try lunch.
google avatar

Lexi B.

Yelp
All the food was great the bakery items are what's famous I think- the muffin served with the seasonal quiche was amazing! The service was friendly but kinda slow. Great casual brunch place! Def will go again - kid friendly indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Patti M.

Yelp
My husband and I have been going there for many many years and have never had anything but wonderful meals. Susan is incredible and everyone there is wonderful. I can't say enough kind things about this place.
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
The staff there was extremely friendly! I asked Cole what to order and he recommended me the Tuna Melt which was my first time trying tuna and it was really good. The owner was super friendly and funny. Overall food was good. Food was very filling and I had plenty of food left for dinner and maybe even tomorrow's lunch. The Gilbert house is a very well done restaurant with amazing people and welcoming environment. Would recommend.
google avatar

Mardi D.

Yelp
Breakfast was delish and service amazing. The homey atmosphere was a nice touch. Felt like having breakfast at my grandma's home. Which was always so memorable.

Yelp
Lovely brunch spot in town. After years of wanting to try it out we finally made it. We did come early so there was only a short wait. It is a small space though so I would be prepared to wait at least a bit. Inside and 9utdoor seating available. Nor an overly large menue. Mainly egg dishes and pancakes. They do have an uncharge on eggs right now and non dairy milk. For drinks they have tons of flavor options and a variety of coffees. We had a machine with brown sugar flavoring, chai, and regular coffee. For food we tried french toast, corn hash, eggs and meat, and the gluten free short stack. They did give us bacon when we asked for sausage and service was just okay. Thr food was quite delicous and very impressed with the gluten free short stack.
google avatar

Ray Ray P.

Yelp
Food- not a fan. Got my eggs wrong and my biscuits were drier than the Sahara desert. Pancakes were mediocre. Sausage was microwave. Water was good and tasted purified. Service- awesome!! Ambience- cute but very loud and echoed.
google avatar

Brett L.

Yelp
3 stars because it was a cute place and our waitress was super nice. Pancakes are good , coffee cold and English muffin was more like a coaster. I have no clue what was done to the English muffins but a basic knife wouldn't cut them, and they were stronger than jerky so my teeth couldn't even rip them apart. Literally hard as a chewy rock. Weird . Maybe they were old ? Or got nuked in a microwave, which would be super gross and disappointing because microwaves change the composition of food to literal poison. Don't think we will be back . But our waitress was awesome
google avatar

Zack G.

Yelp
Gilbert House is a cute brunch spot with all the charm of being in someone's home. It is cozy and there are lots of little nooks and corners to sit and eat and have a conversation. I got the steak Benedict and it was delicious. Coffee was overflowing like any standard brunch place. I'm not sure how busy it gets on the weekend but I was here on a weekday and it was pretty quiet.
google avatar

Harley P.

Yelp
Great people great product Very convenient for my house glad to have some options Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend
google avatar

June P.

Yelp
Service, food were great! Ambiance.. well, if the staff would ensure the front door was closed more, the number of flies may be reduced!

Yelp
Brunch in a cute old house with wonderful staff...what more could you ask for?! How about the amazingly yummy food?! I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

SabrinaYvette M.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. Oh boy! First off who puts a cinnamon roll in the microwave?!?! Second bland food Denny's quality 5 star pricing Third the waitresses was not welcoming or wrong attitude to be serving people food. Fourth the place need a good cleaning the walls were dirty and dust on the ceiling and pictures. Will I return. NO

Yelp
Such a great and cozy spot! The food was delightful and the service was warm and kind. My fiancé and I went for brunch and will certainly be back!

Miguel P.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place. It's a small quaint little restaurant with very good service and exceptionally good food. We came in for breakfast and had the buffalo scramble. Absolutely delicious! I can't wait to comeback and try the buffalo burger they have. Might I also add that they make a mean Bloody Mary. The people next to me had the country fried steak and while I didn't try it, it looked so freaking good I may try that next time I come for breakfast.

Catherine L.

Yelp
First visit to this gem of a restaurant. Julia was our server and we could sense the mid-west nice. Food was on point.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Gilbert House - Never Again! I can't post my review without a star, unfortunately there's no option for a negative star so I'll just make one: -0 * What a disaster. We expected a local gem -- instead, we got canned food on plates. Honestly, it's an insult to Gilbert's locals and visitors in a state known for amazing food and strong support for local businesses. When we arrived, we told the lady at the front we had reservations. She asked if we booked online, and when we said yes, her response was, "Oh, we don't actually have that or use it." Seriously? Then why even offer it? The biscuits and gravy looked and tasted like Pillsbury biscuit dough drowned in Pioneer/McCormick packet gravy. The corned beef hash? Awful. Looked like Libby's corned beef dumped on Great Value frozen hash browns. Even the grilled tuna sandwich at the next table looked sad and unappetizing. Nothing coming out of that kitchen showed any real cooking -- just reheated, pre-made junk. $94.87 for four people, and not a single dish worth finishing. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Yelp
Fantastic locally owned eatery. We have been coming here for years. They are expanding their offerings as well. Service was great.

Yelp
This review is based on trying both a cinnamon and a caramel roll. I have yet to try a meal at The Gilbert House. The cinnamon roll was pretty good. It was a bit chewy, but the flavor was nice. What really made it enjoyable was the cream cheese icing. The caramel roll, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. It was hard everywhere, but the very center, and was pretty dry. Unlike the cinnamon roll, the caramel drizzle on top was not great either. I called in a phone order for 3 cinnamon rolls and 2 caramel rolls to take home. When I got home, I only had 2 and 2, the cost, approx $32. The staff was very friendly both on the phone and in person. The place is very quaint and I will probably go back to try a meal. My final thoughts: Don't waste your money on the caramel roll.

Yelp
Always a wait when visit, but was worth it. Breakfast and butter pancake was fresh and delicious, and served faster than you can process what you just ordered. Vibe was chill, great service as well. Highly recommended!
