"With soaking tubs and smart TVs in every room, Hotel Ivy is sleek and sophisticated. In addition to the stylish rooms, the subterranean cocktail bar (Constantine) and coastal Italian restaurant (Monello) are hip destinations in themselves, with renowned local chefs and bartenders from Borough and Parlour at the helm."

Hotel Ivy, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis

"Minneapolis’s frigid winters are famous, so it’s only fitting that this hotel takes icy minimalism to a breathtaking extreme. The cavernous lobby is an elegant study in sharp edges, marble, glass, and winter-white fabrics, which lends it a mid-century modern air. Remarkably, with a little help from the gracious staff, the overall effect is warm and welcoming. The economy of design extends to the 136 spare but comfortable rooms. The marble-clad bathrooms are nearly as large as the bedrooms, and each has a separate soaking tub with city views. Twenty-one handsomely appointed suites are located in the adjacent Ivy Tower, a compact office building built in 1930; this ziggurat-style edifice also houses a top-notch spa, a gym, and a two-story restaurant. It may all be a bit staid for trendy types, but for grown-ups in search of comfort and style, this is the address."

Hotel Ivy, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis (Minneapolis, Minnesota) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Maybe these things go on hundred-year cycles; whatever the reason, it’s safe to say Art Deco is enjoying its moment in the sun. Hotel Ivy, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis takes, as its starting point, the Ivy Tower, a ziggurat-style landmark reminiscent of some of New York’s early skyscrapers. And while this tower is dwarfed by its modern additions, the style of the Hotel Ivy’s interiors takes on its influence, its ultra-cool clean lines livened by pronounced Deco flourishes. Underneath it all, this is a thoroughly luxurious modern hotel, the lodging of choice for visiting sports teams and many other honored guests. And it’s no dull business hotel: the Ivy’s spa makes it something of a leisure destination, and its restaurant and bar are eminently worthy of their setting." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Ivy — A Perfect Downtown Escape Living in Saint Paul, it’s always nice to have a quick getaway to the city without going far. Hotel Ivy is by far one of my favorite places to stay when that happens. The location makes access incredibly easy, and the experience is consistently excellent from start to finish. The rooms are beautifully designed — modern, spacious, and quiet — with the kind of understated luxury that makes you instantly relax. And the spa? Absolutely incredible. It’s one of the best in the Twin Cities, with top-tier service and a calming atmosphere that feels worlds away from daily life. Whether it’s for a spontaneous weekend escape, a night after an event downtown, or just some time to recharge, Hotel Ivy never disappoints.

Alright stay. Visually a beautiful room but needed more lighting (in my opinion 3 table lamps are not adequate) and the walls were INCREDIBLY thin. Did not have a relaxing stay because I heard everyone’s tv, toilets flushing, showers running, doors opening and shutting, and even just normal conversations. Loved the staff, super helpful and amazingly kind. They were what really made me put 3 stars. Also I requested a high floor room and they put me on 7…my room wasn’t even halfway up the building. It was fine and safe but I just don’t think it was worth all the money for a “relaxing staycation” that was not very relaxing. Overall - not worth it if you want to stay in and relax.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ivy! My room was nice the view was nice, room service was nice. But the few hours we spent at the bar was simply amazing! The bartender, this young man was very personable and absolutely AMAZING! He told us about good places to visit while there and a few places in Mexico that were inexpensive and beautiful. He was definitely awesome. Would've gone back, be that was his last night He took another job! Major loss for your hotel. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Nice property in a convenient but quiet area of the city. The lobby of the hotel is a bit cold/antispetic, but the lobby bar, Edera, and its staff warm things right up. All of the staff interactions at the hotel were terrific. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed (with an outstanding mini-bar). Had a minor maintenance issue with mine that was addressed with the hotel. I booked well in advance of my trip and discovered about 10 days before travel that rates were MUCH lower than my reserved price. So I rebooked. I advise double checking.

Cool place to have lunch. Our server was amazing, she remembered all our orders without writing anything down. The entrées were great and desserts were top shelf. My coffee was excellent and we had a great time. Stop by for lunch on a Saturday, for a pleasant experience!

Pro's the staff are very professional and courteous. The rooms are of a pore design. I was in 1809. The bathroom floors are marble leaving your feet cold, the toilet paper left my behind raw. (the tp at the airport was better quality) while watching TV your eyes get caught up looking at the slatted wall next to it. The mini fridge is in the closet leaving it open for the maids to go in everyday so no security. Two days in a row I ordered lattes and croissants, the lattes were only filled less than 3/4 and Luke warm. The Breva restaurant was awful. I ordered the pasta there was hardly any sauce and the noodles were so hard. On my last night of a 6 day stay I was starving so I ordered a child's grilled cheese and Mac and cheese. The grilled cheese was such a cheap cheese like velveeta yuck. There was no cheese in the mac and cheese. So $60.00 for crap. The beds are so uncomfortable. They need new ones, the towels are like sandpaper. So the only thing they have going for them is the staff. Upon check out they had charged me 5 days of valet when I had parked across the street so they took care of it but my receipt did not itemized so I'm still not sure what all the extra money was for. Oh and this is a big one.....their toiletries smell like a man which would be OK if I were in fact one. So I will not be staying here again as it wasn't worth the 3500.00 I spent.

I had such a great experience at Hotel Ivy. First, the front desk service is outstanding - truly top notch. When checking in, they asked us if we were here for a special occasion and upon learning that it was a girls night getaway, they provided us with BOGO app and drink coupons to the 2 restaurants onsite. They also suggested a few dishes to try. When we returned to our room after a show at the Orpheum, we found a bottle of bubbly with a handwritten note on the table!! It was such a kind gesture and so so thoughtful. I’ve never experienced something like that before - usually it’s a birthday or anniversary where this type of stuff happens so we were thrilled the front desk would provide such a gift for friends simply getting together. We had dinner at Breva Bar (on the first floor) and loved the food. One tip - if the Minnesota Orchestra is having an event (close proximity), there will likely be a rush of diners beforehand and service can be tough/limited due to restaurant capacity. We experienced it first hand and had to wait a long time for food. But once the orchestra crowd cleared, it was prompt service. Another tip - do not skip the burrata & apple starter. It was so good we ordered it TWICE. Our room was on a high floor with views of downtown. The real star is though is the bed. I’ve stayed at Marriott properties before (Ivy is part of the Marriott family) but none of them compares to a Hotel Ivy bed. There’s a reason this is a luxury hotel because this is a luxurious bed. Fun fact: Marriott actually sells these beds online and the prices are crazy expensive. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby the next morning. We enjoyed a simple but filling breakfast at the hotel bar before concluding our short 1 night but very memorable stay. So glad I got to experience Hotel Ivy, the beautiful ambiance, and stellar service. If I feel like spoiling myself again for another girls get together, I’m coming back here.

From the moment I arrived at Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis, I was treated like royalty. The hospitality was warm, genuine, and consistent throughout my entire stay. The front desk team — Daniel, Lisette, Shay, and Carlo — made every interaction feel personal and welcoming. Their professionalism and kindness set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional visit.||Dining at Agave Cantina, the hotel’s restaurant, was another highlight. Nia was the first staff member I met there, and she left a lasting impression. Her service during my first (delicious) vegetarian meal and expertly crafted cocktail made me feel instantly at home. The following morning, she welcomed me back for breakfast, and from then on, Carlo, Angle, Shay, Alana, and Kaysee ensured that every breakfast met my specific requests — always with a smile, and never a misstep.||For lunch and dinner, I often relied on the front desk’s recommendations based on where I was in the city and my cravings. I truly appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the local food scene — and how they encouraged me to explore Minneapolis on my own terms rather than pushing only nearby or hotel-based options.||My room was spacious and comfortable, with a fully stocked bar and mini fridge. Bottled water was readily available from the front desk and housekeeping — a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.||Although there isn't a pool, there is a glorious hot tub in the spa. Mind you this is not meant for children. ||Now, let’s talk about the Ivy Spa — it was absolutely enchanting. If you’re staying here, do yourself a favor and book at least one treatment. I ended up having three! Amanda set the tone beautifully during my first service, and the following hydro facial and three-part body treatment were just as luxurious and revitalizing. Truly, this is a spa worth planning a vacation around.||In summary: Hotel Ivy combines world-class service, local charm, and luxurious amenities into a stay I won’t soon forget. I can’t recommend it highly enough — whether you’re here for business, pleasure, or a much-needed escape.
