"If there’s one thing synonymous with Korean cuisine, it’s barbecue, known as bulgogi . In Seoul, dining at a barbecue restaurant is a communal affair. Friends gather around a table and order generous portions of marinated beef or pork, which servers then grill right in front of them. For an elevated experience, visit one of Maple Tree House’s four locations. Each outpost boasts a sleek, contemporary atmosphere and uses only quality cuts of meat. The barbecue-averse can enjoy traditional dishes like noodles, stews, and bibimbap , while first-timers will be relieved to find a friendly bilingual staff who can walk them through the process."

Lively BBQ joint in the middle of Itaewon party street. Walked past it a couple of times and then decided to venture in solo. Was quite busy as it was a weekend night but I put down my local number and got a call within 15 minutes. My server was a cute ajumma who fussed over my order and then forgot my drink order but she had a big smile and made the whole dining experience memorable. I ordered the Jeju black pork and she cooked it to perfection. Enjoyed it with the all various side dishes and a Suntory highball. Would definitely come back with a group to try the more extensive beef options. Loved the vibe, the location and the service.

We had a fantastic experience at Maple Tree House. The decor was modern and stylish, and the staff were genuinely friendly, making us feel very welcome. One thing we really appreciated was that the staff grilled the meat for us at the table—it made the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and the side dishes were especially tasty. Even better, when we asked for refills, they arrived quickly and without hesitation. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from start to finish and will definitely be back. Highly recommended for a great Korean BBQ experience!

My friends that live in Korea recommended and I've visited multiple times. Always delicious top cuts of beef and pork. Tasty Banchan. Amazing service. Foreigner friendly.

Authentic Korean barbecue place. The waitress grilled everything for us. Both pork belly and Galbi beef were cooked to perfection.

Food is great here. Also nice that they grill the meat for you. Service wise as I went early and was the only diner there, got all attention which was a bit too much lol Located at the back of the alley, the smell of the street was kind strong, which maybe also made the overall experience a bit down. I may try another branch of the same restaurant in the future.

Maple Tree House (단풍나무집) sits tucked into one of Itaewon’s more elegant corners, blending traditional Korean BBQ with a polished, international vibe. The address itself—26 Itaewon-ro 27ga-gil—isn’t hard to find, but stepping inside feels like you’ve walked into a more refined kind of grill house. Clean lines, modern lighting, and just the right amount of wood decor make it feel cozy without being cramped. And yes, rumor has it Angelina Jolie once dined here, so there’s definitely a bit of star sparkle in the air. As for the food, we opted for their most popular set menu, and it didn’t disappoint. The staff brings out the meats with care and handles the charcoal grilling right at your table—no smoke in your face, no guesswork with cooking. Every cut we tried was tender, flavorful, and well-marinated, especially the galbi. The banchan were fresh and nicely varied, and the pacing of the meal was smooth, never rushed. It’s not just a meal—it’s more like a curated dinner experience. While some may say it’s a bit on the pricier side, you’re paying for more than food—you’re getting service, ambiance, and presentation. It’s not your late-night BBQ fix, but it’s a strong choice for business dinners, date nights, or travelers wanting Korean BBQ with polish. Overall, a solid experience with just enough celebrity lore to make your dinner story-worthy.

Ordered 1 set won159,000. But don’t trust the set photo. Photo shown 2 pcs A++ beef but only one each beef. 🥩 overall food is good! There are some annoying flies inside restaurants. One lady took care a few tables and overcook led my beef
