But unlike other popular spots in town that just use pork bones, Sazan uses a mix of chicken and pork, resulting in a broth that’s just a little bit lighter, but no less satisfying. "Sazan is primarily a ramen restaurant, but you’d be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn’t also order their “indomitable” chicken wings. The wings are fried and then seasoned with a salty, spicy, and umami-laden curry rub—with the crispy skin reminiscent of a Dorito. "One of our favorite weeknight activities is to sit down with a flight of Japanese whiskeys and a hot bowl of ramen. And when that time comes around, we like to do both of those at Sazan’s bar, in the Crescent shopping center, where the friendly bartenders can walk you through tasting notes (for both the whiskey and the ramen, if you want).
