The 29 Best Restaurants In Lisbon - Lisbon - The Infatuation

"Tasca Pete is a small, cozy spot that feels a bit like going to a friend’s place for dinner. It’s on a hilly cobblestone street connecting the Graça and Penha de França neighborhoods, and is easy to miss—once you find it, knock on the glass doors to be let inside. A huge counter takes up most of the restaurant, where you can sit with a draft beer or a glass of natural wine and order shared plates like blueberry focaccia and potato terrine." - rita geraldes

Incredible focaccia; everything else a bit salty. British owner, super small joint, most likely need advanced resys

tasca pete easily entered my top 3 restaurants in lisbon. i arrived with high expectations, and every single one was exceeded. the staff — joão and gabriel! — were fantastic, attentive, knowledgeable and great at guiding us through the dishes and pairings. the focaccia with smoked butter is much better than i imagined. i could honestly eat a whole plate of it, especially when it comes out warm. the potato with goat cheese, beetroot sauce and pistachios is a standout. perfect texture, unexpected flavours that work beautifully, and a generous portion meant to be shared. no surprise it’s one of their best sellers. the fried chicken is excellent, crispy on the outside and juicy inside not dry at all. i only wished for a bit more sauce. the sea bass with cabbage fully deserves all the praise it gets! perfectly cooked fish, crispy skin, amazing sauce. order extra focaccia to enjoy every drop. the chocolate mousse with olive oil and fleur de sel is impeccable, even for someone without strong nostalgia for this dessert. the wine list is great, and the staff’s recommendations were perfect. i’ll definitely return many times and will recommend tasca pete to anyone visiting lisbon. it’s small and reservations can be tricky, but absolutely worth it.

We really enjoyed this tiny restaurant—great food and a cozy, welcoming vibe. Most of the dishes were delicious, and the standout was definitely the potato terrine—packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. We also ordered a bottle of wine, which was excellent, though a bit pricey. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and would gladly return.

Oh i really loved it here! It’s a very small restaurant and we sat at the bar. We had the bread and sweet chili butter which was insanely good, the potato (defenitly recommend!!), tomato salad, fried chicken and the corvina and to end with: the insanely good chocolate mousse. For me the potato was the best!!! The combination of flavors were so so good

A very small place but an absolutely amazing find. Such a raw pearl in all that culinary Lisbon has to offer. Fine orange wines and surprisingly innovative dishes.

A truly amazing experience, a great range of food and every dish surpassed the last. The staff were knowledgable and attentive. This is my favourite spot in Lisbon without a doubt. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment!

One of my favorite places we dined at in Lisbon. Make a reservation as its only tiny and you dont want to miss out on this food. We sat at a tiny table under the stairs where the neighboring table had to move for me to sit down. I'd love to have sat at the bar but that was only for 2. All the food was great even the bread and I think it was cashew butter ? Loved to potatoe terrier we ended up ordering it again. The chicken was great too. I liked how each dish was served separately too so you got to enjoy each one and didn't have to juggle plates. Definitely try to eat here if you can.

Immediately recommended to all my friends at home, would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon. A small unassuming restaurant with an open kitchen. All the food was packed with flavour and for a similar price to most of the tascas in lisbon. The only reason our average price is a little high is due to our choice of a bottle of fancy natural wine. We will be back to Tasca Pete.

Wonderful meal, our sever - lovely French girl, (I stupidly didn’t get her name) explained all the food so well and made the perfect food and ambience even better. 100% recommend.
