PGA Golf Club at PGA Village

Had a great time. The Dye was challenging but fair. Wide open fairways and plenty of bunkers and waste areas. It’s hard to lose a ball. Played as a nonmember or guest on this day. We went to the bar to eat. And was told we had to leave as this was a member only area. We kindly left and ran into a manager. We told about him about the experience and he said the staff was not wrong but made an exception and escorted us back to the bar. A great example of customer service. Thank you very much we really enjoyed our day.

Played the Wanamaker course on December 31, 2025. The course was difficult but in very good shape. Unfortunately the experience was scarred by the experience with the ranger, Troy. I understand the job of a ranger is difficult, but the way he handled his job is completely unacceptable. As a threesome we teed off at 11:37 and on the first hole noticed our GPS in one of the carts was not operating properly. As he drove by we flagged him down to assist. He looked at it for about a minute while we were on the green. Then drove away yelling “I’m not sure what’s wrong with it”. He did not return with a new cart…. Nothing. We then complained via the messaging system and asked for a new cart. Throughout the front nine we waited on every shot for about 5 minutes. Frustrating but understandable as a threesome. We saw Troy throughout the front 9 and he said the issue was two groups in front of us. As we cleared the 9th green Troy was waiting for us and said “You are behind pace. Do not stop at the turn and go directly to the 10th tee”. We were upset by this but went to the 10th tee skipping the clubhouse only to wait another 8 minutes on the tenth tee for the group in front of us. As a note… this course has VERY limited restrooms, hardly any water, and no beverage cart girl. Troy completely ruined our experience in what was expected to be an awesome round and a highlight of my year.

10/05/2022: We played the Wanamaker course again and it's still very beautiful even after the recent hurricane Ian. It looks like Ian didn't create too much trouble for the course. The greens are fine and run smooth although I would prefer the speed to be a little faster. The newly renovated range is absolutely awesome! The only course that we didn't try is the Ryder course and hope we can play it some time this year. Circa Oct., 2021: It was our first time at the club and we played the Dye course. The conditions, the layouts, the scenery, etc. all deserve a great rating. Range is also a complimentary which is an added bonus. The Dye course is a semi-link style course which give you a combination of varieties like tree lines, long rough, marsh, water, deep bunkers, etc. With all these, the course is actually not that difficult as long as you strategically place your shots. Avoid get into the long roughs because you're unlikely to find your ball or get out of it. Anyway, it's a well-maintained and fun course. It's worth a 1.5 hr. drive since the course is quiet different from other S. FL courses.

The Dye course is absolutely stunning. Tee boxes and fairways like carpet and greens are amazing roll true and fast!!! Bunkers were all perfect! Course conditions were a 10/10. Would recommend to everyone. The food in the clubhouse after was amazing too!! Great Rueben and chicken ceasar wrap!! Highly suggest the entire facility if you haven’t been!!!!

Excellent place to play a few rounds of golf. Great practice facilities and a very accommodating staff. We had the pleasure of playing 2 rounds here today. 1st, we played the Dye course. It was a very nice course and offered a great challenge, which I handled pretty well seeing I have never played this course before. Then we had a nice lunch on site. The lunch menu is not large but it is very delicious. I highly recommend the club sandwich. After lunch, we headed for the Ryder course, which is also a very nice course that is also beautiful and challenging. Again, I was playing well and had a very good round. I also stopped off in the pro shop and checked out the merchandise. Very nice! Again, the staff was very friendly and I was able to find a very nice shirt as a momnto of my visit. Had a wonderful time playing these two beautiful courses. Hope to play the third course next time. It was closed for maintenance this time.

Does it get any better than this? AM Tour Championship this weekend. Played the Dye course. Bring your A game, the greens are tough and a bit small. Great layout with room for error though, (not too much). Fantastic facility, with unlimited balls on the practice range. The clubhouse is beautiful inside and out. If you want to enjoy a great weekend of golf at an A+ facility, this is your destination. Staff is following all social distancing guidelines everywhere throughout the facility. Great staff, great atmosphere, fantastic golf.

This place is awesome, stated a condo nearby walk to the six hole chip and putt with the kids. We were there Saturday and Sunday and both days were super relaxed. Wasn’t overcrowded large driving range 3 - 18 hole courses.

Played two rounds over the weekend. The Dye and Wanamaker. We really enjoyed. The course was in overall good condition. The Wanamaker bunkers needed some TLC. The Dye greens were punched, but rolled pretty good. The staff, practice facility, and look was great. The price is a steal during this time of the year.

The Golf Professional team at PGA Village is outstanding!! One professional in particular is worthy of special mention...Justin Callahan. He is the consummate professional while serving his membership, fellow PGA Professionals and guests alike. He always ensures the golf experience maintains the highests of standards. He continually goes above and beyond to make anyone on property feel welcome. He will take any appropriate action to ensure the PGA experience is protected!! Way to go.....Mr Callahan....a true professional!!

This is an amazing golf club. The courses are immaculate. The practice area is impeccable. Top notch facility. I wish I lived nearby so I could enjoy it more then once a year. A few disturbing things that I noticed....there is no ATM on the entire property. That's weird. They have a pro shop and a bar/restaurant and it's a golf club where people bet. The other item is the wait staff in the restaurant. For some reason when they give us a bill they point out that there is a 20% service charge on the tab but it goes to the facility and they do not get any of it. At the bottom of the menu there is a notation about the 20% service charge for the administration for the food and beverage services and then it states "No additional gratuity is expected or required". We found this odd. We felt strong armed into leaving an additional 20%. We are there for a few days coming in and out every day. If we didn't tip extra we felt we would pay the price with bad service or worse.... Not sure why the menu states one thing and we are told something different by the wait staff. Regardless the property is awesome and the golf is AMAZING!

I am responding to the negative review left by Matt S in reference to the PGA Golf Club. It is evident that Matt had a very intentionally distorted review of what happened that day. No one of our group of three women "hit up on them." In fact, it was my shot they took offense to, and it landed 30-40 yards before the green. I know my limitations, and would never hit up on anyone on the green. These two men were hopping from hole to hole, and the tee time when they began was 40-45+ minutes ahead of ours. How did they end up not only ahead of us, but at different points ahead of other foursomes in our ladies' league? When they began to hold us up, we asked the ranger to speak to them. They should have been asked to leave the golf course at that time, but were not. And, that is when they obviously took offense, and took unnecessary time to complete their round. But, here is the crux of the matter. Instead of driving directly back to the clubhouse after finishing the 18th hole, or driving back to apologize to us for holding us up, they drove back and began to insult us, began to intimidate our group of 3 women, was abusive in their tone and in what they said, stood toe to toe to me, and when it was apparent that the situation could become physical on their part, one of our group began to videotape them. That diffused the situation on their part and they then backed off, but the worst was over by then. It took the staff of the PGA over one full day, but after fully investigating how they hopped from hole to hole, after viewing the videotape, and after interviewing them, they decided that these two would not be welcome back to play there ever again. It was definitely the best and safest decision for everyone involved. It is unfortunate that this was not the decision the PGA staff was able to come to from the very get go the day of the incident, but in the end, it was the right decision made by the staff. We all need to feel safe and protected on the golf course. People like Matt S. and his friend should play elsewhere, or better yet, play where they said they live -- in Massachusetts.

Worst Golf experience I've ever had. Members of the course hit into our group on the green...mentioned it to golf pro on duty and he promised a discount on the next day's round. We showed up the next day and they did not honor the promise! A complete disgrace by the management. Do yourself a favor and skip this arrogance and save yourself a boat load of money by playing equal to better courses in the area for more than half off their rates!!! Pro Justin there is the worst ambassador possible to represent any club, total arrogance with zero etiquette. The staff makes promises then trips all over themselves to back out of it! All to save themselves $40 discount fee quoted...way to make things right!! People avoid this one no matter what!!

I played the Wanamaker course with my girlfriend, and we had a great time. The pace of play was smooth, and the Marshall was very kind to us throughout the whole round. We hope to come back one day and play the Dye course.

3 courses to choose from and staff was very accommodating. Played the Dye course and it was in great shape with lots of bunkers and Dye's elevated greens.

I golf for Fun, at over $100 per round, i don't expect to be policed all day long. The courses are well manicured and the staff at the restaurants and pro shops are friendly. But we played there courses which are not easy, nor should they be. The Rangers were on us all day long asking us to move faster, I am not a professional golfer nor do I ever want to be. I want to play my game without being rushed. At one point they asked if there was anything they could do to move us along. I looked at the guy and said wheres my refund. I mean really we are here to golf and we had options, we didn't need to spend our money with them but we chose to. I will never return, and if you think your going to have a relaxing day at this course think again. Avoid at all costs.

I had the same experience as many other reviewers. I will never come here again. They started us 10 minutes late because they group in front was waiting on their 4th, then they harassed us all day long about speeding up. At one point we were all running to our balls and swinging as fast as we could. It is no way to play a $100 round of golf. We are all good golfers. Single digit to mid teen handicaps. We were not being slow. We finished in exactly 4 hours. I will never come back. There are plenty of courses around this area. Find another place to play.

12 of us went on a group outing for 4 days. Not impressed with the conditions of the course or service. You would think with the PGA brand name that the course conditions would be better. Fairways are dry and yellow and the greens need help too. What makes it worse is the stuffy attitude of the staff. Other than the cart girl they were not very welcoming. Too many good golf resorts in the area with excellent service for them to act this way.

Too much pressure from the rangers to basically run while playing your round. I get that pace of play is important, and there is no way we were screwing around out there as we are all low handicappers who play all year round at the best courses as well as our own private clubs we belong to. Never going back!!! Why would a guy making $12 per hour enjoy busting balls to golfers all day long?? Find another place to play!!!

PGA village caters to members only. They charge $100. A round in April and the rangers are pushing you through the entire golf course. If you can't play your round in under 4 hours they will be on you the hole round. I left my brand new footjoy wind breaker in my Golf cart and it wasn't turned in or returned. After the round we went to the taplow grill. After ordering we had to wait 1 hour for our food to arrive. We will look for another golf vacation spot in the future.

Top notch resort golf. Excellent facilities and all services. Slow food service though The 18-hole "Ryder Course" at the PGA Golf Club in PGA Village facility in Port Saint Lucie, Florida features 7,065 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . Designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, the Ryder Course opened in 2006. Jimmy Terry, PGA manages the course as the General Manager.

Incredible place! Played the Ryder course $70, challenging and forgiving at the same time, depending on what tees you play. Very cool track, beautiful looking holes and greens are rolling. Try the PGA club sandwich at the restaurant, it was awesome. The pro shop has cool merch as well.

This really should be three separate reviews, but oh well... There are 3 courses out here: Ryder, Dye and Wanamaker The Ryder is a very forgettable course. There is one Par 5 with a "bite off as much as you can chew" lake, but otherwise, the holes are difficult to remember. The Wanamaker is a little more difficult than the Ryder and has a few more surprises. By far, the Dye is the best of the three. LOTS of crazy bunkers, all located strategically to catch your ball. There are also a lot of waste areas filled with crushed shell which, although daunting in appearance, are fairly easy to hit out of. We don't have any such thing here in California so it was a definite learning experience. FYI, the food in the clubhouse is bad. I mean really bad. I have this thing for filet mignon. I get it everywhere. I can honestly say the worst filet I've ever had in my entire life was right at the PGA Village clubhouse. Be advised that medium rare = well done. Yick...

We played the 3 courses for 6 days. The courses are great. The rangers are terrible. They want you to finish in 4 hours. We did it in 4:10 and had a ranger pushing us all day telling us we were moving too slowly. Where we come from, 4 1/2 hours is an acceptable pace. The price is not cheap for theses courses, $100 per round. I will not come back.

This course is a $35 course masquerading as a $61 course. Overpriced to say the least. I realize it is a drought, but adjust the price accordingly if you can't maintain the course to acceptable conditions. To add insult to injury, our foursome had lunch at the Taplow grill and were promptly hit with a 20% service charge...wtf?? So whether we had bad or good service, you're gonna charge us the excellent service tipping rate of 20% no matter what? Unsat on all levels. Won't be playing there again.

If you enjoy world class golf then make sure to put PGA Village on your list of courses to play the next time you are in the area. Golf Digest includes it on their list of "75 Best Golf Resorts in North America" and their inclusion is more than justified. The rates are superb, especially in the summer months and all three courses are a treat. You won't go wrong on any of them but my personal favorite is The Dye Course. Their learning center is one of the best you will find anywhere and you can pound Titleists all day for what a good martini will run you on Worth Avenue.

played the Wanamaker course, decent layout, but a couple of dumb holes. it was in very good shape, but the greens were dry and brown. i feel that the greens were not completely constiant for the whole golf course. what i mean by that is you have 15 that go with the flow and 3 that are severe. dont understand that. beware!!!! fire ant are very bad out there, you also have a lot of different snakes and, of course GATORS please repair your ball marks gh

As public courses go this one is solid. Fairways, greens and practice facilities are very nice and well kept. The cost is moderate and below $100. There are three courses and all are challenging. Fairways are wide which allow for an enjoyable round. No real memorable holes but a solid course. The clubhouse is average and the restaurant is above average.

Course is great however is way overpriced. The newly renovated courses are very nice if you are willing to spend $150 or more. There are two very nice courses i would recommend that you can play for a third of the cost of the pga courses. Those two courses are Champions Turf Club ar ST. James and Meadowood.

Dye course is a must for any golfer. Start out at the Learning Center for great use of bunker practice. Stay away from the restaurant as the food is not good. Cross the bridge and go into town for dinner.

This is great place to access some nice golf courses in addition to the learning center. The Learning center is well kept and a good place to practice on your game. They have several good instructors available.
