Locally owned and community‑minded, this Kaimukī staple turns out wood‑fired pies, house meatballs, and market‑driven specials with island produce. A frequent pick of local critics and OpenTable diners, it’s a relaxed, neighborhood answer to great pizza and Italian comfort plates.

Terrific pizza in Kaimuki! We had a tasty family dinner here last month when we were visiting my brother who lives nearby. He'd never heard of Brick Fire before our visit, but he became an immediate fan after he tasted their pizza. Brick Fire Tavern is the only pizzeria on Oahu with the Vera Pizza Napoletana (VPN) certification, meaning they make True Neopolitan Pizza. If you're not familiar with this type of pizza, they're cooked for just 90 seconds in a wood-burning oven (handmade in Naples!). Napoletana pizzas have a soft center with a chewy crust and are wonderful! Our party of five shared three pizzas between us: the OG Funghi, the Prosciutto e Rucola, and the New Yorker. All three were delicious and we left no crumbs. My favorite of the three was the Prosciutto e Rucola because I just love prosciutto di Parma on a pizza. The Napoletana pizza crust is so good, too, with a great chew. Service was terrific throughout our meal. This spot is on the smaller side and it was packed when we were there. Reservations are highly recommended; I actually don't know if they even take walk-ins. Mangia!

Had high hopes and this place looked promising with the brick oven on display, crowds and always a wait. I love Neapolitan pizza, but I ended up disappointed and would rather have their pasta, which was amazing by the way. The service was very friendly and attentive. The hostess and the server were both very warm. The place was quite spacious so even with the crowd, it didn't feel cramped. There's a room at the back with high tables that could fit another 5-6 parties. About the food, I think the ingredients were great but the execution was not there. Check out my picture. My pizza slice was so soggy that it just draped over like Niagara Falls, and I had to roll it up to eat it. It's kinda gross to eat pizza that didn’t taste like pizza, or is this deconstructed pizza a new thing in town? They probably rolled the dough too thin or put too much oil/sauce on there? I don't make pizza so I don't know what exactly went wrong. I deliberately saved my pizza to take home hoping my air fryer would make the bottom crispy again. Couldn't make it work. On top of that, the charred part of the crust was so bitter, tasted like ash. I couldn't eat the whole slice. I got the mushroom but there's barely any garlic flavor. I had to add some minced garlic at home myself when I ate my leftovers. I still have 2 slices in the fridge. I’m debating whether I should even finish it. And you ask me, $30 after tax and tip for this? Hell no. I'm glad I got the pasta as well otherwise my whole meal would just be unpleasant. The pasta was bomb!!! I got the spicy vodka and the pasta was chewy and perfectly al dente. The sauce was delicious with an actual kick to it, unlike a lot of other Italian spots where "spicy" isn't a real thing. I found out their pasta could be purchased next door in a small shop, but too bad they closed when we're done dining. Next time I'll just get the pasta and sauce in the shop and not have to spend $29 on a plate of pasta with only a few pieces of sausage in it. Terrible value. Delicious pasta, fun atmosphere, great service, but for the price and the quality, (I can't get over with the super soggy pizza), I don't think I wanna come back.

Been here multiple times and have yet to be disappointed! The pizzas & pastas are always cooked to perfection and the desserts are so delicious! If you plan on coming during dinner hours make sure to have a reservation since it’s such a popular place! Also parking might be a little difficult next to the restaurant but there is a paid parking lot within walking distance.

This is a must-visit spot every time I go to Oahu. Everyone I’ve recommended it to has said the same thing—it’s always delicious. From pizza and pasta to the meatballs, every single dish is outstanding. It’s already so popular that you can’t usually get a table at dinner without a reservation, but it’s still a place I want more people to know about. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience is close to perfect.

The best and authentic handmade pizza in town. I had the Mamma Mia pizza and it was so satisfying. My husband had a fresh pasta bolognese and it was so divine. The Chianti wine was so great. And we finished it up with Pistachio Cheesecake and Cannoli, it was perfect. I will definitely coming back here again!

We went to Brick Fire Tavern and the place was popping. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us at the bar. The pizza was delicious, probably one of the best we've had. The crust was chewy and had these perfect charred bubbles. Would definitely go back!

This place was awesome! I came here with a big party of 13 and the service was fantastic. Our server did a great job taking care of us. We started with Caesar salads, which were okay, but I felt they could’ve used a bit more dressing. Once the entrées came out, though, everything was excellent. The pizzas had a doughy, mochi-like crust that I really enjoyed and each one had great flavor and depth. A standout was the miso spicy pie with garlic shrimp, which had just the right kicks of spice mixed in. My personal favorite overall was the bolognese pasta. The sauce was creamy despite being tomato-based and the meatball was cooked to perfection. Definitely a great spot to check out if you’re in the mood for some fire pasta or pizza!

Google
Overall everything is overpriced and could be vastly improved :( spent almost $200 for 2 adults and 2 kids! Caesar salad needs more flavor as it’s bland, maybe the dressing is fresh and homemade but definitely something is missing. Beets appetizer was good but the light color beets were a little too big and tough to cut through. Mozzarella mousse was interesting and went well with beets, pistachios and balsamic drizzle. Probably wouldn't get it again unless it can be customized to include just the purple beets: Pizzas and pastas are just ok, nothing close to amazing. It would be a plus if they offered hot sliced bread with seasoned olive oil upon getting seated like other pizza/Italian restaurants would for their customers. The best thing I had with my nieces and sister on my last visit is the Nutella calzone which was really big but could use much more fruit and Nutella on inside the calzone. Everything in the calzone was mainly in the middle of it and the ends were just cooked dough. A small scoop of ice cream for $9 and then $2 for added drizzle of salted caramel, Nutella, etc. is a bit ridiculous. Not my first pick.

Yelp
Brick Fire Tavern has been around for a while but recently moved to a new home in Kaimuki. It's next to its sister business Onda Pasta; they share fresh homemade pizza dough and pasta. If you're dining in, Brick Fire Tavern is a cozy yet modern restaurant with open bar, brick pizza oven open for view, and many sizes and styles of tables from small high tops to large family style. In the back is an older style pizzeria room that takes me back to childhood. We decided to try it for pizza and salad and had a great experience. We came shortly after opening and had no wait getting a table; during meal times reservations are recommended. Our server was very friendly and attentive for the entire evening. All the other staff was welcoming with a smile, you can watch them prepare pies to order. We opted for the margarita but added anchovies and burrata cheese. The pizza itself is small and pricy, but it was so rich and delicious we were full regardless. The cheese made the ultra thing crust a little soggy that probably would have been a both if getting it to go. Honestly, the salad was the highlight - fresh pears, rich cheese, and sweet pecans. I could've eaten more of that and been happy. If you're a fan of Italian food, especially pizza, this is a great one to check out.

Yelp
I just enjoyed a great dinner, treated by my daughter and SIL, as a belated birthday get together. I chose Brick Fire over Merriman's because I felt it would be more "family- style" dining, with my granddaughter in tow. The parking can be an issue, since the lot behind the bldg is relatively small (maybe 15 spaces) for the number of restaurants there, but fortunately, we found a metered spot right across the street. Traffic was terrible on Friday night, and we got there about 15 minutes late (we called to let them know). They had a high chair for my GD, which we made sure to reserve over the phone, and were seated right away. Our server greeted us promptly and gave us a highlight on the specials. We ordered some cocktails and then decided to get the Prosciutto and Burrata app, a couple of pizzas and a pasta entrée. The pizzas are 12" in size with a thin crust, but still can fill you up. The dough is made fresh and has a nice "chew" to it. The pasta is also fresh, procured from Onda Pasta, located next door. Everything tasted great, and they also provided me with a comp scoop of their brown sugar vanilla ice cream for my birthday, while we all also shared the Nutella calzone. Thank you to my daughter and SIL for a great dinner, and this is a definite must try spot.

Yelp
Having not come here for several years I've ventured back with friends hoping for a better outcome. And I was pleasantly surprised. We came on a Wednesday at 12 PM and miraculously found parking in front. We had amazing, attentive service, and the food was exceptional. We all chose the lunch special which came with a pizza and salad or soup. We all chose salad. The pizza is large cut into fours and I didn't think I would finish mine but I did. I did sacrifice one to a friend. lol. The pizza is thin and not super doughy which makes it easy to finish it all with the salad. With such a good experience, I am sure to visit again. The place was busy for lunch but not too busy. The restaurant is clean, bright, and full of positive vibes.

Yelp
Another fantastic dining experience at Brick Fire Tavern! Service was quick, friendly, and on point as always. This time, I decided to switch things up and go for the Bolognese pasta--a dish I've heard rave reviews about. Let me just say... it did not disappoint. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce rich and savory, and that meatball brought everything together in the most satisfying way. Of course, we couldn't leave without a pizza, so we ordered the New Yorker--and it was another hit! Crispy yet chewy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right balance of sauce and cheese. Brick Fire Tavern continues to impress, and I can't wait to come back for more pasta and to explore even more of their pizzas.

Yelp
We were able to get squeezed into a 7:45 reservation. We were seated in the back in what appeared to be like someone's kitchen. Very warm and homey, just like the hospitality. A plate of freshly baked pizza dough was placed before us to snack on with a balsamic vinaigrette to dip. Wow. Amazing, chewing pizza dough crust. We browsed the menu and we immediately knew what we wanted. New Yorker. Chopped Salad. Pappardelle pasta. The pizza, was love at 1st bite. The sauce hit me first right in the taste buds. A smoothness unlike your typical pizza sauce. Not too overly acidic like there was a nice balance of flavors. Then the ingredients. The cheese, the pepperoni all melded together. I love NY style pizza but this pizza here at BFT takes pizza to another level like it makes me believe I love Italian pizza Period. Then the crust. I could gnaw on this crust all day...and I don't particularly like pizza crust.but this crust. Yes! I used it to wipe the plate of the pasta we devoured. The pasta was nice and al dente. Great texture of the oodles of noodles with the bolo sauce. The creaminess. The balance of flavors. Definitely a comfort food I would choose over and over again. I wished my stomach was bigger so I could order another one. Then the dessert. The pistachio cheesecake caught my attention with the oreo crust. But the cannoli. I recently ate a plate of them in Little Italy from the king but the cherry sauce drizzled and mini chocolate chips took my whole cannoli experience to new heights. The crust. What is it about the way this place makes crusts? They have it down to a science that I so appreciate. I love black forest cake and the flavors of this cannoli make me think of it. Yes, yes, yes! Loved my entire meal here. Why have we forgotten about this gem in HNL? Need to come back more often I can't believe I never sent this review below from...2021? Yelp
I had an excellent lunch experience at the Brick Fire Tavern! The Neapolitan style pizza I had was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The thinnest of crust required eating with a fork as the way eaten by Italians in Italy. The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal at the bar. The only thing missing for me was no Cabernet wine in their list and they as yet have an espresso machine, otherwise the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. No problem parking in the back. Highly recommended! Michael Ace

Yelp
Today, I visited this restaurant recommended by my friend. Both the pasta and the pizza were very delicious. The service was excellent, and I had a wonderful time.

Yelp
We're visiting from Los Angeles, and our hotel recommended Brick Fire Tavern -- what a great suggestion! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Bolognese pasta with one meatball -- an excellent choice. The sauce was a little different from what we're used to, creamier in texture, and the portion was just right for sharing. We also split the Brick Fire Margherita pizza -- the crust was perfectly crisp, and the ingredients were spot-on. The Caesar salad was classic, with crushed breadcrumbs instead of the usual croutons, which added a nice touch. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and upfront about a slight delay in the kitchen when we first arrived, but once our food started coming, everything flowed smoothly. They have a great wine selection and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. All in all, we give Brick Fire Tavern a solid five stars!

Yelp
When I got my food and tasted my pasta, I was so upset at how good it was! It was soo soo good that it made me mad!! Can't wait to do a date night here, incredible food and atmosphere!! Pasta, salad, and pistachio cheesecake, so so good!

Yelp
I love this restaurant and continue to recommend it to everyone I know. The service provided here is always prompt, friendly, and the servers and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is incredible. Everything I have had here is flavorful and delicious. The portions are generous, the prices and reasonable. The ambiance is elevated but not pretentious. Their wine and cocktail list is diverse. The Chianti Classico is my personal favorite. I got the Sal's Bolognese Pappardelle which was flavorful and well balanced. I also got the Vesuvius Bee Sting which was cooked to perfection with the pizza crust soft and pillowy and the sauce, cheese, and toppings mixing perfectly. I will absolutely be back.

Yelp
I usually eat pizzas and pasta dishes here. I always come here with my parents, and we share everything so we all have a taste of each dish. Food: 5/5. I don't recall ever having bad food. Service: 5/5. Service is pretty good. No one irritated me. Ha! That's a great compliment from me because I'm usually easily irritated. Environment: 5/5. It's clean and spacious. Only once did a kid act up but I didn't docket the restaurant. I just blamed the parents.

Yelp
I went back there six months later and ordered the same cocktail - Green River Passport, because I liked it last time. However, what I got had a totally different look and taste, so I was really confused and disappointed. Fortunately, they were kind enough to switch it to wine for me and I really appreciated that. The pizza I ordered this time was Mamma Mia! without onions and less cheese. I liked it but I think I liked Pepperoni, which I had last time better. Nevertheless, it was wonderful once again and I'd be back for sure. Took one star off for my disappointment with the cocktail. But don't get discouraged by that!

Yelp
Authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, just like in Naples! The margherita was spot on--simple, fresh, and delicious. Service was very friendly, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the pasta, wine, and more.

Yelp
Nice looking place. Not too loud could hear my husband perfectly. Service was great. Food was delicious. Had a pizza and a drink. Didn't care for the drink. Pizza was good.

Yelp
We came here for dinner when my husband was craving pizza. This had good reviews online so we stopped by. Parking was a nightmare like everywhere around here but the inside was upscale and modern. The inside was small but the place was relatively busy. The tiramisu drink was phenomenal, I had two. I definitely recommend if you like chocolate and coffee and sweet drinks. The whiskey drink at the top of the menu was also delightful. The other drink that was supposed to be more on the fruity side was a pass for both of us. Our waitress was cute and sweet. A younger gal. We began with the squash which was the BOMB. The cheese and crusty flakes gave the perfect mixture of smooth but crispy. It was delicious. The pizzas however were too soft for us. The crust was good and the toppings were fresh and yummy. However, there was hardly any crust under the toppings and the pizza was saggy. You could barely eat it by picking it up. It was yummy but not the best.

Yelp
Food was super tasty, pizza was delicious, and service was great. The meatball appetizer was our favorite. Of course the pizza was spot on and the dessert cannoli was rich and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
So happy to be able to get a downtown experience right in Kaimuki with parking and no traffic! I called ahead and was told they were booked but that we could walk in to sit at the bar . Luckily they were able to squeeze us in for a perfect pre concert meal. Brick Fire Tavern, not to be confused with Brick Oven Pizza, is located on the same block as Brew'd on Waialae Ave. DRINKS: I started with a Green River Passport cocktail. It was beautiful but I felt like the taste didn't live up to my expectations from the description. My friend got a glass wine. FOOD: The menu offers appetizers, salads and pastas, but they specialize in Neapolitan pizza. Apparently they are the only restaurant in Hawaii certified to make it. Our server with a cool name, Holiday, explained that the owner, Matt, went to Italy to get special training for it and brought back a special brick oven. Apparently there are strict rules that must be followed to make this pizza. Since I wasn't that hungry, I hesitated to get a whole 12" pizza for myself. But since it was their specialty I ordered a Margherita. I needn't have worried as the thin crusted pizza was easy to eat with it's delicious herbaceous San Marzano tomato sauce. Our server warned us that this style pizza is soft in the middle so we knew what to expect. I did like the thinness but I prefer my crust less floppy and a little more stiff. (there's a joke here but I'm not going there. lol) I thought I would have leftovers to take home but failed. My friend got the spicy vodka pasta which was cooked just right and not very spicy. It came with a nice Calabrian sausage,We shared everything including a chop salad which balanced out our meal. This Dowtown transplant is a lovely addition to our Kaimuki restaurant row!

Yelp
Wow! Food was amazing, very convienent location and staff was very friendly. Sat on the bar and had the best service with our bartender Tim. He recommended this appetizer, I would've never tried other wise but was the highlight of my meal. Drinks were also amazing! (Another highlight) would definitely come back again!!

Yelp
Meatballs were great, maybe I'm not refined as some of you all are, but why is the pizza here slimy, floppy and tasteless? Respect to the region of Neapolitan or Mr. Neapolitan, but hell nahh! We tried both the Mamma Mia and New Yorker and both were lacking flavor. Service though here is impressive, very chill and personable.

Yelp
The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) is an international organization, officially established by a group of Neapolitan people, representing the oldest families of pizza makers. This organization was later officially established by the Italian government as a denomination of control (DOC), a designation that made the AVPN a legal entity able to give special designations to pizzerias who meet the strict requirements that respect the tradition of the art of Neapolitan pizza making. The point of all this is that "Brick Fire Tavern" is the only (VPN) certified pizzeria on Oahu. Although it's not listed on the website, Brick Fire Tavern has a prix fixe lunch menu ($24). I took the option that provided a salad and personal sized pizza. I ordered a local beer ("Maui Sunshine Girl @ $9). There was a 3% surcharge; but I liked that they described it as a "kitchen appreciation fee" ($1.04). With tax ($1.55) my ticket was $35.59, before gratuity. The Ceasar Salad was very nice; it was much more than I expected--both in terms of serving size and how elaborately it was assembled. The Funghi pizza was very good. As this is a Neapolitan style pizza, I suppose it's better to focus on the bread. The crust is not the thin style common with most pizzas. In my mind, the best way to describe it is like a freshly baked pita--but its thin; soft; a bit spongy, providing a nice chewing experience. Double check the restaurant hours. They close for a break after lunch, before dinner (from 02:00p to 04:00p). The dining room is comfortable. There is seating at the bar. The bar offers beer, wine and cocktails. Parking is a bit of a coin toss. Sometimes there's street parking, and parking behind the building; sometimes you've got to look around a bit. But these caveats aside, the food here is good; its different.

Yelp
Perfect place for dessert & a nightcap! The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They make all their guests feel special and at home. This time I tried the canoli and I have to say it was the best I've had. The pastry was light and flakey, filling smooth and not too sweet. Topped with fresh whipped cream and just the right amount of choco chips. Perfection!

Yelp
Long overdue review/update. This place is an absolute must for anyone that loves great, no, outstanding food, ambiance, service, and just a great dining experience. They really do it right here, fresh ingredients combined to bring out the most robust of flavors from pizza to the best Caesar salad one could ask for. If it isn't apparent yet, I am a true fan of this restaurant/bistro. We have been on several occasions at this point and the consistency is amazing, anytime, and every time. Please do yourself, family, and friends a favor and get out and support this establishment, we need more like it, that's for sure!

Yelp
TL;DR Delicious Neopolitan pizzas and al dente pastas in the heart of Kaimuki. BFT Chop Salad = ONO Porcini Rigatoni = ONO Spicy Vodka = ONO Margherita Pizza = ONO ----- Mmmm, I love this place. My wife and I were craving both pizza and pasta and decided to visit BFT. We had done takeout a few times a while ago but never dined in, so we were both excited. Parking is a bit tricky. I believe there's a tiny lot off 9th Ave, but typically in this area you're searching (and hoping) for street parking. We started with the chop salad, which was fantastic. The lettuce was crisp, there were a lot of different textures and flavors, and the dressing was on point. For pasta, we went with the porcini rigatoni (absolutely must order if you love mushrooms), which is always a banger, and the spicy vodka, which was also delicious. The pastas were perfectly al dente and sauced. So damn good. Lastly, the margherita pizza was just awesome. My daughter devoured her slices, which is always a solid indicator. I'm excited to return to BFT and try other items on the menu!

Yelp
The photos don't do the food justice. Firstly, the staff member Annie went above and beyond with service, absolutely phenomenal kindness and professionalism. The Satriale's Pizza was so good, with full of rich flavor. The star of the show really was the bolognese. Typically a basic dish, I'm not always a fan of bolognese unless it's done well. Let me tell you, this was some of the best I've had, with so much flavor and juiciness....10 out of 10. Highly recommend, will be back.

Yelp
It's been years, like before pandemic, since I last visited Brick Fire. The experience was different from the cozy Chinatown location to the larger Kaimuki restaurant. But the food was delicious still. You love pizza? I love pizza! But this is authentic Neapolitan pizza. It's done right. It taste great! I thoroughly enjoyed the service. Each course was plated and serviced with the right utensils, plates and bowls. They turn the plates and utensils! No soup drippings or empty clam shells left behind when the pizza arrived. The staff from the front to the back, provided us an elevated dining experience.

Yelp
What a great place! Great service and delicious foods. From the person that answers the phone to the person that greats you and serves you....all so friendly and efficient. The ingredients in the salads and pizzas were fresh. Best to make a reservation such as with Open Table.

Yelp
I'm only putting this review because as "regulars" to this great restaurant, we were shocked to have received a parking ticket for $51.50 for parking in the parking lot in back of the restaurants. As usual, we like to bring out of town guests here and experience the delicious food and cocktails. We called the restaurant the following day and was told that this parking fee is something the Landlord recently started. Despite being told that there were signs posted with the parking QR code to be scanned by the patrons we didn't see it. The restaurant manager did say that they failed on their part for not verbally mentioning about this new parking policy. Thank you Matt as he will bring this incident to the Landlord. This parking fee is 35% of our total dinner!!! We parked at 7:45pm and the parking ticket was issued at 8:27pm!!!! Wow, is this what living in Hawaii is turning into. Shame on the Landlord when great local restaurants like this are trying to survive!!! Thanks Matt at Brick Fire and hope this parking situation doesn't deter business!!!

Yelp
Very nice place for some great pizza. Smart casual is how I would describe those in the restaurant (we showed up after a day of sweating and hiking and felt under dressed! We ran back to the hotel and cleaned up before our reservation time. Lol) Great pizza with excellent crust and toppings much like you find in Italy. Good service and friendly staff.

Yelp
First time here for Mother's Day Lunch for my wife and mother-in-law. My son actually was the one who picked this place who was here 2 days ago with his Geema and Papa. He loved this place and he said, this is now his favorite Italian place. He's 14 years old and he was spoiled by his papa and knows what good quality food taste like...lol. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in this place...loved the ambience and the vibe with the music playing in the background. We loved the food here. Food is great...delicious from the starters we ordered (clams and ceasar salad) to our main entrees (clams risotto, pizza, butternut pasta, pizzas, and the meat ball dish) and we ended with a bang at the at end...we ordered the top 4 dessert on the dessert menu so we can all try it as we were in a group of 6. All 4 desserts we ordered were delicious. I would recommend all four and would ordered all again when we come back. Yes, we'll definitely be back more often... yes that's how good this place is. Our server was awesome...he provided a 5 star service. I would rather go here now over Assagios.

Yelp
We got the meatball appetizer and specialty pizza! The meatballs and bread was perfect - freshly made and served hot! The specialty pizza had a vodka sauce that was to die for and the crust was amazing . . . Perfect. The atmosphere and service were top notch - drinks refilled and table cleaned after each portion . . . perfect.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! I went for a bday dinner and love how there's a back area private section. We ordered bunch of appetizers to start - chef's salad, garlic & fennel clams, and Hauula tomato & burrata. For the entree I shared proscittto arugula pizza and their bolognese pappardelle. Dessert we shared coffee gelato and cannolis. Everything was delish and service was great!

Yelp
Saturday night, the parking meters are free after 6pm on the street. I love the bistro style decor, open and bustling. Service is friendly but also extremely leisurely. While we weren't rushed, it was a good 15 minutes being greeted and another 15 to place an order. The meatballs were delicious and really beautiful! The clams had a tasty broth but were small and not a great choice. Pizzas were all delicious will try the pasta next time.

Yelp
Overall our experience was fine. The food was incredible. And the place was very local pizza-y. It had history on the walls and showed what was made fresh. We got the meatballs and burrata as an appetizer, both were delectable. I ordered a Margherita pizza and added pancetta while my friend got a pepperoni pizza. Both were delicious. The crust is fantastic, thin and chewy but great flavor The main complaint we had was service was slow. At first it seemed like they had 1 server doing the job of the host, bartender, and a server. However that changed about midway in our meal when we noticed 2 other servers working. Overall a fine experience would definitely go back for the food

Yelp
Best pizza on the island. Such good ingredients. I stay away from milk, cream, and cheese except high quality as I don't digest well but I have no issues with the exceptionally quality of Brick Fire pizzas. Greta spot and kind of fancy so if you want to dress up you can as well. Other items on the menu are really great and everyone is always friendly and helpful. Great spot!

Yelp
I visited for lunch with a friend, and while it was busy, we were seated immediately. Great, friendly service. The food was delicious! We shared Spicy Vodka pasta and a Fungi pizza, and wrapped up with Tiramisu and French Press. Again, delicious! No photos because I guess I was too busy enjoying the scene! Parking at the meters or neighboring lot for a nominal fee. Casual to semi dressy for lunch. Closes at 2pm for a couple of hours before dinner. Spacious. Clean, clean restrooms. Full bar.

Yelp
The Porcini Rigatoni is just divine! I definitely can't replicate this at home. Their homemade pasta is al dente. I couldn't identify all the perfectly blended herbs use to make this heavenly mushroom cream sauce. Pizza is Neapolitan style, very thin, pillowy crust, and you eat it with a fork and knife. See photo of my pizza going in the oven, The service is exceptional. The way they describe each dish - you know that they've had tastings from the kitchen, and can suggest what wines pairs well with it. When your waitress ask you, what flavors do you prefer and recommends appropriate dishes, then comes to check if everything is okay; that's when you know they are professionals. They were there to make sure you had a pleasant dinning experience. I'm a little tip stressed. I have seen 30% as an option for diner/family style places - heck no. If you want 30% tip take a lesson from this crew on service. They are so professional, they don't even suggest a % tip on the bill. They do have a 3% kitchen appreciation fee and it is well deserved - the food was awesome. Update: I throughly enjoyed my dining experience. However the pizza at room temperature was not received well by the family. The thin pillowy crust became very chewy at room temperature. Grandma who likes her pizza fully loaded with toppings called it anorexic pizza.

Yelp
Service is very poor. Rude staff. Pizza is smaller now than before and yet price went up.

Yelp
Three and a half stars. Decided on pizza for lunch and after the reviews were excited for the pistachio cheesecake everyone was raving about. We get in at 1 and they seated us. We all had a drink. The non alcoholic one was interesting with the hint of Italian almond flavoring. It was quite refreshing. The beer is just beer and refreshing and goes perfectly with pizza (in my opinion) We ordered two pizzas. They both were delicious and the crust was what I enjoyed the most. Chewy and a little bit of char taste and the toppings were fresh. The choice of the pistachio cheesecake was NOT an option and that bummed us out because we wanted that. lol. It will be on the menu later they said. It was a great little place with a lot of tables. The staff is friendly and it's a perfect pizza place. The prices were pretty fair because rent must be high in kaimuki and add all expenses to run a place, I get it. It was a pretty good spot for last minute decisions.

Yelp
Keep it Kaimuki... Making it with an outing with a friend that I haven't seen in awhile we decided to head over to Kaimuki since she had an aunt who lives jus a block from Brick Fire Tavern yay! We already knew this would be the place for lunch but browsed around Waialae first checking out the amazing biz celebrating all the wonderful product you can find here on this Black Friday Weekend as we all kicked off the holidays as well. Walking in we were so amazed how roomy it was as you can smell that brick oven going strong cooking up some pizzas we are so ready to consume. We decided on the Bruschetta Caprese to start which is a nice rustic appetizer as a super thick slice of City Loaf from neighboring Breadshop is topped with fresh mozzarella, marinated tomatoes, drizzle of balsamic and torn basil. Taking that first bite is a struggle with tomatoes rolling everywhere I do love that rustic touch but having bites that is too hard to eat and rolling on your clothing is not exactly fun. Asking about their pizza we were wondering how big it was and was told that it's made on a thin crust and is 12" so that it would be a breeze to finish it by yourself so we did just that as I got the "Funghi" pretty much says it all Mushrooms, mozzarella, fontina and thyme, fresh and classic it was very good though for the price not sure if I'd order it again as good it was it was still missing something that I wish I could think of...probably it was just too simple for me. Bestie ordered "Da "Shrimp Truck"" and this seafood lover loved her pie though struggled with the richness of it all lol! The pizzas here are good using fresh ingredients and showcasing exactly that versus drowning it all in sauces though the simplicity of it does leaves me with wanting more, as we got the pizza fresh out of the oven without that pull we all search for since it's fired for just 90 seconds it was a bit difficult to eat. Thank you!

Yelp
I've never raved about a soup before until I went to this place. Also their starter dishes are out of this world and their entrées are fantastic. I'm not a pizza guy so I can't tell you about their pizza other than it looks fabulous, but I stopped eating pizza when I was a kid, but Very popular and it's not a pizza place. It's an Italian restaurant that will also serve pizza but they do a fabulous job.. Bartenders are excellent and flexible on the way you want your drink some people make it new school some people make a drink old school some people make it with a flare. They're willing to do whatever you wanna do. . Excellent service nice nice people work there product is fresh as can be and impossible to walk out of there without saying that was worth it and the prices were reasonable a all-around great lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM with a short break closing till 4 pm reopening and then I guess they close around 11. You'll have to check the hours but trust me when I tell you a must have in your tummy Yummy yummy yummy in your tummy.

Yelp
Very tasty pizza, friendly service in a rather nice but casual location. Wouldn't necessarily do the $40 r/t Uber from Waikiki here again haha, but I'm glad we went at least once. The only certified Italian pizza joint in Oahu apparently, with special water filters and an oven from Naples that cooks pizza in 90 seconds at 1000 degrees! *FOOD* - Pizza dough was excellent, but I would say the toppings could be more unique /uniquely Hawaii. I did miss the tomato a little on the mushroom pizza. - Salad was good, but no option to add chicken or shrimp sadly - Bruschetta was a large portion and tasty but nothing to write home about. - Nutella calzone was the star of the show IMO

Yelp
It has a nice family atmosphere. The pizza and pasta dishes were simple and without much flavor. The serving amounts were very small. The service is good.

Yelp
Their pizza, pasta, and Caesar are sooo bomb! When I ate there, it was unbelievable--1000/10. I tried takeout once and the Caesar was kind of mid, but the pizza and pasta were still amazing!
