We love the beach--and so does Luna! Isle of Palms Beach (1st-14th Ave) is a beautiful, pet-friendly destination, but there are specific rules to follow, so it's important to plan ahead.
Dogs must be vaccinated against rabies and wear a collar with a metal tag showing the vet's information.
Owners are also required to carry a valid rabies certificate at all times. While not mandatory, residents are encouraged to get a free dog permit from the Isle of Palms Police Department, which can help in reuniting lost pets.
Off-leash hours vary by season:
April 1 - September 14: Dogs may be off-leash from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
September 15 - March 31: Off-leash hours are 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Outside of these hours, dogs must be on a leash and under full control-even in the water. Owners must also have a leash in hand, maintain voice control if off-leash, and clean up after their pets.

Isle of Palms remains one of our favorite beach spots-- clean, scenic, and dog-friendly when you follow the rules!
**My reviews are meant to give a clear picture of each spot's experience, cleanliness, atmosphere, pricing, and--most importantly--how pet-friendly it truly is.
