VSP Consignment

So many 5 star and also 1 star reviews for VSP Consignment. I think most of the 1 star reviews are from customers that are consigning items whereas the 5 stars are from purchasers. I found the service here to be amazing. The store is well laid out. 80% of the store is women's wear but I did find three pieces in the men's sections that were amazing and fairly prices. One of the pieces was actually on sale...the clerk mentioned it at the till which was absolutely unnecessary but very much appreciated. I saved a other $100. The stock is high end for the most part. So don't be shocked by the prices even after list. They are well below the original prices. Loved this whole experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. From start to finish of my "birthday gift splurge to myself" they were so kind and accommodating. Shipping was fast, communication so kind and quick. All and all they don't hesitate to go over and above and I won't hesitate to make this my go to shop. Last but not least my purchase was everything I'd hoped it would be I couldn't be more pleased with it.

I've consigned with VSP a few times over the year and have always found the staff kind and helpful. Yes you do have to call to check if your item has been sold, but that hasn't been an issue with me. I've never had an experience where an item I brought in hasn't sold so I can't speak to the process getting an item back. I prefer to go in during a weekday when it isn't so busy and the person working behind the consignment desk is always willing to chat about why or why not they are taking an item so I can be more educated about what I should bring in for them.

Careful buying things online from this place. Bought a Canada goose winter coat, final sale, describe as having some wear on the arms near the cuff seam. The item arrives the following week and is full of holes, probably 8 holes in total. Having some wear is pretty deceptive marketing, and any reputable upfront business or seller highlights damage like this with up close photographs. Nope not this place, instead they hide it, and don't give you the opportunity to return the item. Furthermore they deleted the listing from their website, despite other items on their site remaining as "sold*

It was my first and last time consigning with VSP. Be aware and read the fine print of your contract. I brought one item in to consign. After 6 months i decided to check on the status. The item didn’t sell so I asked for it back. I was told in the contract they have 1 year to sell it and I couldn’t have it. After 1 year i came to check again. Not sold. I asked Matthew the manager for my item back. I was told I couldn’t have it. I had to wait until the new year. Apparently it sold shortly thereafter. I was told in an email I’d get $97.50 by cheque which I had to go into the store to pick up. They don’t have e-transfer? Go in and they tell me they will give me cash. Great! Tried to give me $43.50. I pulled up the email with the proper amount. Manager looks confused goes into the computer. After some embarrassing minutes for him , he goes to get my full amount. No apologies for the confusion. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Do not consign with these people … it’s like extortion to get your item back.

I found some amazing things here, such a great variety of items. The staff were incredibly helpful from start to finish, and the store is beautiful, clean, and organized. I personally don’t understand any of the complaints in the reviews about organization. It’s a consignment shop, not a department shop - not everything will be in perfect order. Great shopping experience :)

I had an amazing experience with this consignment shop. The customer service was exceptional — friendly, responsive, and so easy to work with. The entire process was seamless and incredibly fast. I’m really impressed and will absolutely recommend them to others!

I would never consign with this store again. On my first consignment I was told I could retrieve the item back after a year of it not being sold. However, when I came to consign for the 2nd time they told me items under $500 can’t be retrieved like ever and will be eventually donated to charity. What on the earth do you think this type of business model is that you grant yourself the right to take other people’s assets and treat it like yours? This is not how consignment works!! Also, they won’t let you know how much they’d sell your items for and how much you will receive after it’s sold. Once you hand them your items and walk away, they are in their full possession. Please beware of this store and read the agreement IN FULL. Do not trust their staff’s words and sign it blindly. You will lose your item if it doesn’t sell eventually. What a ridiculous establishment!!! Go to Mine and Yours or Fashionably yours who treat consignors better than this store!!!

Great place to shop but consigning with them, not so much. They take too high of a percentage and don't price the items fairly. Consigned a brand new pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals with tags and everything included. Regular price was $1450. No longer available anywhere and new season. They priced it at $545 (way too low) then dropped the price to $380 so they could sell it quickly. Mind you they took 50% of the sale. Would never consign with them again. I'll sell privately or on Poshmark.

Great selection of pre owned fashion! Love the vibe of the store and staff are super friendly and picking out some great finds for me to buy!

The merchandise is great. Their rating of condition of the items is very accurate. I was surprised that they were pickier than I am. Highly recommend. The store is a consignment shop but you would think it's a yorkville boutique. Items are well presented

From the outside, it gives a modern and clean aesthetic ...and totally hides the complete high fashion gems that hangs inside on the racks. I had no idea how well curated it would be till I walked in... what I saw immediately was Dior, LV, and Gucci within in the first moments. The wonderful thing, the presentation and quality makes this feel like a store that sells fresh seasonal high end clothes. This is not your mama's consignment store. I arrived early one day and noticed they had a sale. If you ever see a 'sale' sign on the window... just walk in. I'm guaranteed you will be surprised at the prices. You will find perfect condition clothes for fractions of the cost... sometimes at 10% of their retail counterparts. Some of the help here can be cool and aloof... almost judgmental but there are 2 here who clearly have more of that charismatic and warmer touch to make you think you can be regular client. It definitely is one of the best consignment stores in Toronto if not the best.

Hands down the best consignment shop in Toronto. Amazing designer finds here with regular sales. Today I bought a Jason Wu top for $69, a pair of J Band Jeans for $30, and some other lower end items from Club Monaco and Band of Outsiders. If you're looking for a second hand Balenciaga or Chloe bag, or perhaps a really great pair of YSL heels. This is where you should come. This is my absolute favorite boutique in Toronto. It's better than drugs my friends.

I would come here for brands (true designer stuff) you cannot find on places like eBay, or Poshmark Canada (you can use referral code SHERRYISH for a free $10 credit to shop with by the way). Anyway, here, you can find designer brands like Oscar de la Renta Helmut Lang, Dries van Noten, Maison Martin Margiela, Smythe.. you know, brands that are not as mainstream as YSL, Chanel, Prada or Gucci for instance but you'll find them here as well. I saw very few mainstream brands like Club Monaco or Massimo Dutti but they were there. You aren't going to really find Banana Republic or H&M here. Prices are .. pricey. If you are used to thrifting, this is not the place for you, you will get sticker shock. Come in when it is 50% off, and everything that used to be listed at $1000 (think, YSL jackets), are now $500, which is $$$ but a little more palatable especially if you are spoiled by deals like I am now (POSHMARK! LOOK INTO IT.) Everything is in excellent, EXCELLENT condition, pristine and only with a little makeup on the collars from people trying it on. The store is clean, big, bright, nice big changing rooms, a very calming and open space.

This is a great store with great, curated finds at reasonable prices and FANTASTIC sales. I have found many lovely items here at competitive prices. This store will restore your faith in quality clothing in an era of awful fast fashion (the prices are sometimes comparable to new say, H&M, but the quality, absolutely not). The staff is (mostly) truly helpful with genuine interest in style and helping you find the right thing. Only unfortunate thing is that their hours coincide with working hours on most days, so working people might find it hard to access their streetcar location in a retail dead zone. But whatever, it's a worthwhile place for serious stylin peeps!

Amazing selection and amazing staff. There are few consignment shops in the city with the same standards and fashion knowledge as VSP. Similar designers and styles are grouped together so it's easy to shop. The pieces are almost 99% of the time from established designers: Chanel, Givenchy, Rick Owens, Balenciaga, Comme des Garcons, etc... The sales are also out of this world. Items can get discounted from 30-70% off at the end of the season, so definitely worth following on instagram to track down the best time to buy. Staff is very helpful and not too pushy.
