Beffa's is a family restaurant that has been in STL for 127 years. I lived within the city limits of STL for 40 years and our paths never crossed. I've been a IL resident for 4 years and made a road trip to enjoy their Happy Hour with a BFF and it was totally worth the 40 minute drive. What makes Beffa's Happy Hour extra special is not only available Tuesday thru Friday 4PM-7PM, but it is also celebrated on Saturday 6PM-8PM. You gotta love a bar that has a HH on the weekend. The pricing on beer, craft cocktails and food are all budget friendly. The cocktails we enjoyed were masterfully made and we experienced two different bartenders. Our visit took place during the shift change from day to night staff. Both were attentive and super friendly. The food menu for HH is limited, but a good variety. We sampled, Boneless Wings with Hot Honey, Spinach and Artichoke Dip and Reuben Bites. Our first bartender recommended the Reuben Bites, she said it was her favorite. After having them myself, I am in total agreement with her. Big plus for drinking and dining here is, they have their own private parking lot behind the building. It is close enough to Energizer Park to make it a great place to stop before or after a ST Louis City SC game. The atmosphere/ambiance is definitely vintage. There is a good historical feel and it feels welcoming.

Absolutely love Beffas! Our go to spot before Billikens and STL City games. Amazing food - great service and an unbeatable Happy Hour!

I'm a fan of all things Beffa's. Their happy hour is one the best in the city. Affordable, straightforward, good apps & even available Saturday nights!! It feels good to support a longstanding St. Louis city family tradition. Good location, & is walkable to other neighborhood standouts (Blue Jay Brewing! Videira Wine Bar! Scout's, Energizer Stadium, RIP Harvey's). Staff is great, I haven't met a bartender or waitstaff that wasn't friendly & accommodating. I just wish they were open Sundays so I could watch the Bears here sometimes! TL;DR: it's a solid spot with a great happy hour walkable to a lot of my faves. Try the Bef-Fil-A!

The burgers and beer are always solid here. My husband and I have come several times - by ourselves and with the kids - and have always enjoyed it. My husband also likes the atmosphere, relating it to an old pub with soccer vibes. We recommend!

Impressive this place has been in business well over a century! We came on a quiet Saturday afternoon, but hear it's quite the place to be for soccer games. Unassuming from the road, but nice inside. Good food and free drinks with PubPass 👍🍻 Kids had fun playing darts. The fries-lovers said "excellent fries".

Beffa’s in STL never disappoints! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service was top-tier from start to finish. A huge shout-out to David was incredible! Super friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience stand out. You can tell they care about creating a great vibe and making sure everyone feels taken care of. You are guaranteed friendly and attentive service at Beffa’s. We love to come here for breakfast on the weekends. The food is always hot and fresh. We are able to watch our team play while enjoying a mimosa and good breakfast. You should definitely consider Beffa’s for your next outing.

A nice quiet place for a beer. Unless it's a soccer day, then it's bound to be lively and packed! Great service! The food was great! We met Mike and Nancy, the current owners, they're an amazing couple. This place has been in business since 1875, in the same location since 1966! Stop in and have a beer, whiskey flight, some food (great happy hour bites), and meet Mike and Nancy, you'll be glad you did.

We visited next door at Harvey's and needed something more substantial after a flight of espresso martinis. The space is clean and gives old school Italian restaurant vibes. They offer a full bar and have several local beers on tap. The menu consists of apps, bar food, and larger entrees. Sam was our server. He was fantastic and took good care of our table. We tried a few items off the menu: t-ravs, Parmesan cheese fries, and sliders. Everything was delicious. I think the fries were my favorite. But if I'm honest, I never had a fry I didn't like

We were in St. Louis and looking for a local family run place to get lunch. We found Beffa's on Yelp and decided to try it out. It was a cute small place, it definitely gave more of a bar vibe but our kids enjoyed the games during the daytime. The servers were wonderful, they gave good recommendations and were very helpful. The food was delicious, we got a pizza for the kids to share. My husband enjoyed the smash burger and the Ruben was probably the best I've ever had.

We had a great meal and beers while catching up on a Blues game. They know how to make their customers feel special and know how to celebrate the Birthday girl in our party!

We literally live 5 minutes from here so I'm not sure why we haven't tried it! We have pub passes from 2024 and are trying to get through as many as possible before the end of the year and this was on the list so we decided to give it a try. It's more of a divey spot, very casual. The service was fantastic all night long though, we sat at the bar and it did not disappoint. They have some great beer and wine options, and from what we could tell, made some pretty great cocktails. Their whiskey selection was also great. Their fries are amazing and crispy. The burger was good but the patty was a little dry for my liking. My husband really enjoyed the sandwich. For convenience, I think we would definitely stop in here again. I can see why it's rates so high.

First time here at what, evidently, is a beloved St. Louis bar/restaurant. Loved it! We were there at happy hour (they even have happy hour on Saturdays until 8pm!), and they have outstanding drink deals. The craft cocktails were $7. I had a very generous Manhattan. The food isn't anything over the moon, but it's solid. I had the Pub Smash burger and mashed potatoes. I devoured it all (without shame ). I'm a cheapskate and thought the prices were great. The service was outstanding. It wasn't crowded when we got there (around 6pm on Saturday), but it gradually got busier as the night went on. It has a fun sports bar feel. Can't believe I hadn't tried this place before now, but I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant meal here. Their reuben differentiates itself by using a tamer version of sauerkraut. - kind of a cabbage slaw - and not drowning in dressing. The corned beef was lean and high-quality. and that's what really matters. A few types of Heavy Riff beer on draft is a plus.

Love Beffa's. Such a pleasure to visit with Paul and his servers. They make my friends and I feel welcome. The smash burgers are the bomb, and served with delicious fries. And as if it couldn't get any better, we mentioned that we were celebrating bdays and they treated us to dessert, Paul's mom's bread pudding. So yummy!

Just went to trivia here (once a month on Wednesdays ) and had such a good time! They have a great variety of food with plenty of healthy options + fries are out of this world. The owner is so friendly as well as the server. They also have a special apple pie moonshine that is dangerously tasty. Will definitely be coming back next month!

Great place to eat and watch STL sports with family and friends. They also have a selection of local craft beers.

I come here at least once a month for trivia. Their prices and vibes are so good. The owners, bartenders, and waiters are all so nice! They do not have a sign on the bar so look out for their big parking lot behind their building. They have trivia that starts at 6:30pm and happy hour from 4-7pm. Finally a spot with trivia that starts early and happy hour that runs late! They have other cool events like music bingo and karaoke. Highly recommend coming here to pregame for a downtown event or dropping in after a sporting event or concert! My go to order is the crispy chicken wrap with hot honey and a side of fries. Both have great flavor and generous portions. I have tried the frisco smash but it is a little smaller and lacks the 1000 island sauce. Be prepared for a busy night during events especially trivia nights.

Easy parking! Another stop on our beer passport today. Had absolutely no idea this place even existed. Apparently they are known for not having a sign, but it has been in business since 1899! Still family owned by the 4th generation from Switzerland and we had some great service while we were there. Pretty good beer menu and a full bar. They look to be a very popular place for watching the STL FC soccer matches. Known for their smash burgers but when I go back for food I will be trying the Orange Chicken Bowl! The waitress said that they hired a new chef a couple of months ago and the food is really good. Definitely will be back!

Went here for a quick meet up with a friend that came into town who was driving cross country. They were so nice and very attentive. We just hadn't seen each other in over 10 years so we were so caught up in conversation since we only had 40 minutes. The place was kind of bare but it was 11:30am in the middle of the week. Lots of christmas decor, with a tree and everything. Lots of small tables and my company had a happy hour here where I heard was a good time too. I will definitely have to come back for the full experience though!

Honey Bee's took over the kitchen at Beffa's and just launched their new menu. On national Fried Chicken Sandwich day, I opted for the special - A fried chicken biscuit - of course! If this is on the menu, give it a try! (4.5/5) Generous, hand breaded juicy chicken sauced with a nice Cajun remoulade-like sauce plus homemade pickles - all on a big fresh biscuit "kissed" with butter and honey. Tater tots were seasoned well. Service was friendly and prompt. Drinks come from the Beffa bar. Ambiance was nice and joyful - with some good tunes blasting throughout! (Who doesn't like the chainsmokers?)

Excellent burger, great vibe, above-average service (although it wasn't extremely busy) Got the Spicy Smash with fries and loved every bit of it. Get a side of smash sauce for dipping. Burger was not too greasy, had a toasted bun, and a unique combination of ingredients which went together well! Drinks were strong and tasty. While you're there, check out the Stan Musial art bearing The Man's own inscription, written to Berra's which I'll let you discover on your own. A new favorite for me

We've been meaning to come to this place for quite a while, I keep passing it while going downtown and it looks cute. We were not disappointed when we checked in for this weeks burger week. The staff was really friendly and very well dressed. There was lots of natural light and open seating around the restaurant. The Burger Week deal was a cheeseburger with toasted raviolis on top, such a St. Louis icon! We shared some sides and also grabbed some beers as well. I also think they have a happy hour until 6 o'clock, but we arrived right afterwards and weren't able to take it advantage of it. All the more reason to come back next time and try out some more things on the menu!

Need a last min place to try for brunch and we found this hidden gem. My family we greeted right away and was informed how the establishment is set up. The food was separate from the drinks which wasn't a big deal. The chief Steve I believe gave us a detailed run down on all the food. My kids enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Meanwhile I had the burger which was amazing,We also tried a few different breakfast shots and the mimosas. We definitely will be back!

So I'm still getting to know the area, and I went to this spot after an appt. So glad that I did!!! Apologies for no pics ‍, but if you know me, I don't lie about my reviews. Paul (apologies if I'm wrong) was super cool when I walked in the spot. Always appreciate a nice greeting/welcome when I go somewhere. I had a Brick River Cider , and ordered a BLT, and the Housemade chips. BLT was awesome! More than enough bacon to fill you up, and everything was fresh. The Chips were delicious as well! Had a 4 Hands City Wide while I chatted with another customer, and Madison the other bartender, who also suggested a tasty libation of her own creation that I tried...scrumptious! This place is definitely a cool hangout bar, that I will be visiting again!

I always like to support local family owned businesses, even more so when they donate to charity. Our large group was welcomed for dinner just as if we were family. The decor is simple with a simple menu. Food choices are somewhat limited, but I understand the kitchen will be closing soon and will be revamped and introduce a whole new menu. I'll definitely be back to try that. I opted for the potato Rossi, thin & crispy potatoes & onions garnished with Parmesan, similar to a gigantic potato pancake; a little heavy on the onions, but very good. Salad was simple and fresh. The smash burgers looked delicious and everyone was happy with their meals. Absolutely outstanding service from Kaleb!

A hidden GEM! Came with a friend to get a bite to eat and maybe a cocktail before going to see Shakespeare in the Streets. The food was GREAT, the service was AWESOME, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! The exterior of the building is VERY unassuming, but it's SO nice once you get inside. We ended up getting TWO cocktails because they were so good. The bartender made one for my friend that wasn't even on the menu. We were going to split and share our food, so asked for an extra plate. The cut both items in half and served it to us each that way, NO extra charge! Cheerful staff that seemed HAPPY to be there. SUCH a great place!

A great place to catch a soccer game! They had the game on almost all of the TVs and the sound filled the restaurant. They also had the Cardinals game on one of the larger TVs, if soccer isn't your thing :) The service was exceptional and we were so pleasantly surprised at the upscale cocktail options! They also have all of your standard beer, liquor, and wine. My partner and I ordered wings and a smash burger - both were delicious! We sat at the bar, but I do believe this is a family friendly restaurant, as we saw several children in the restaurant side.

Great little sports bar within walking distance to City SC stadium! Great vibe here, nice staff, and good beer selection.

I thought the food here was just ok. Service was great! The place was clean and no load easy place to talk and hear each other. I just wish the food was better.

Was pleased to see yummy local beers on draft (Heavy Riff Love Gun & The Velvet Underbrown) Our server Chris was super helpful & patient with our large group (about 10 of us for happy hour) and Paul & Jordan were so fun behind the bar to banter & beer with. Lots of love to Nancy & Mike for their dedication to creating such an awesome space & to Paul for his innovations & great vibes. Can't recommend enough - stoked to have found a "new" spot near downtown to frequent!!

My friends and I had a good time for brunch here. The service was really good, they weren't too busy when we were there so the bar tenders and servers were really attentive, checking on us frequently. The food was really good, i ordered the chicken and waffles. It comes with bacon and your choice of honey, maple syrup, or chipotle honey. The waffle was very fluffy and the chicken was fried very well. It wasn't overly seasoned but was seasoned well. The drink I had was the Reese's cold brew, which was chocolatey with a nice wintertime cream. The ambiance was pretty nice, we went around the holidays so they were playing Christmas music (the best Christmas songs) and had Christmas lights along the ceiling. We were visiting from out of town and the decor not only gave Christmas but also showed a good bit of St Louis pride. Overall, I had a good experience, it was affordable, had good service, good decor and ambiance, as well as good food. I think one thing they could improve on is probably organization. My friend ordered the ravioli but they were out so he had to get a substitution. I would definitely return and I invite you to check them out to make your own assessment.

This is a hole in a wall type of place. The food menu doesn't have a lot of options as portrait on google but overall it's good. Their cosmo was really good. The chicken sandwich was well seasoned. I substituted the aioli for Buffalo sauce. The Buffalo sauce tasted home maid, not sure how I felt about it. Probably healthy but not as spicy. Overall I liked the place. I was expecting more options for food based on the pictures on google but I'm sure their brunch is delicious.

When I tell you that I love this place as my weekend brunch option!! I was taken to this restaurant last year for my birthday and have been addicted and recommending it ever since. Every time that I go, I always get the chicken and waffles! My fiance changes his order up usually. We have yet to be disappointed! The customer service is always exceptional and the drinks from the bar are great as well! The restaurant is always clean, well-staffed, and cozy. Oooohhhh, the best part is the prices! This place has a reasonable price list!

This restaurant was on a list of places broadcasting the World Cup match and I was stoke to try a new place. Getting there was fine but I thought I was in the wrong place at first. When I realized that the boxy windowless brick building was in fact a restaurant (people were leaving with food boxes and walking to their cars). It all made sense as I was seated and noticed those tell tell signs of what looked like a former life as a police station. Kinda quirky. The food I ordered was portions I didn't expect. The breaded and fried chicken was gigantic. The biscuit was as well but unfortunately began fall apart as I nibbled and planned how I would attack this sandwich. I was satisfied with the deconstructed sandwich as I'm sure it tasted the same. The sandwich was great not too heavy but filling. I also had two different mimosas, passion fruit and pineapple. They were tasty but could have been a bit more potent. Service was great though and I would come again.

Stumbled across this hidden gem the day before St. Patrick's Day. We were going to order the smash burgers, but they had corned beef made for St. Pat's so settled on the reuben. It was so good! Ate half of it before taking a photo. Owners were so friendly! Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Great service, amazing fries, and a cute atmosphere. Loved it! The toasted ravs were delicious, too. Margherita pizza was HUGE for just one person. All the portions were more than generous. We'll definitely be going back.

I heard about this place called Beffa. Someone it was the best. I decided to go. When I got to the door I noticed 2 restaurants had letters on the door. Much to my surprise it was another place I wanted to try. Upon entering I discovered that Honeybees now runs the kitchen during the day. Later Beffa runs the entire restaurant. Somehow they make it work. The food was great. Service was good. I must go back in the evening to try Beffa and then cocktails

A friend recommended Beffa's for our group brunch a few weekends ago, and we were so pleasantly surprised! Everything was so good, I can't believe we had never heard of it. Bottomless mimosas, amazing bloody Mary's, live music, and kick ass homey brunch favorites; Beffa's has it all! Our waiter told all that ordered bloodies that they were about to have the best bloody Mary of their lives, and he wasn't exaggerating. Everyone absolutely loved them! All of the food was also a hit. My group had the pub burger, chicken and waffles, breakfast wrap and sausage biscuit. The portions are huge and everything was delicious! Give this hidden gem a try for your next brunch outing!

Free parking in the rear. Arrived shortly after opening. Not crowded at all. You order at the counter for food and pay, bar services will be separate bill. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out quick and was very good. We had the fried chicken and waffles with fermented garlic honey, tater tots and biscuits and gravy. Will be adding this spot to our breakfast rotation. Wife loved how good and crispy tater tots were. We wanted to order more, glad we did not as we could not finish what we ordered.

We went here to support a client of mine and needless to say, we'll be back! We went on a Wednesday that had half off smash burgers and half off (canned) craft beer, which was the main selling point for my husband as he's all about the deals! We were greeted right away, ordered all the same thing (smash burger with truffle fries) and got our food SUPER fast. The truffle fries are a MUST. It was a favorite of mine in KC and so hard to find done the right way in STL but Beffas nailed it! So if anything, come for the truffle fries! The smash burgers were also super tasty! Be sure to stop in and give Beffas a try! They support so many local charities and are locally owned

Don't drive to fast or you pass this place up. My visit was everything...as everything exceeded my expectations. From the Irish mule, side Italian salad, swiss fondue smash burger and tartiflette (potatoes) . Our server was really nice and we came in early before it got busy. Found out they have all day happy hour on Thursdays. I cannot stop thinking about this Irish mule and there are so many other items on the menu I want to try. The food was really good and everyone at my table was satisfied and planning their next visit.

10/10 I highly recommend Beffa's. This restaurant has been open for years but closed temporarily. They have the best reuben in St. Louis. I have been twice and was able to try a few things. I loved the smash burger with crispy, pub chips. The wedge salad was a large portion, very fresh, and tasty. I loved the chicken wings and thought the sauce had the prefect level of heat. Omg... and the reuben rolls! The rolls were essentially three large, cheesy egg rolls filled with corned beef and Swiss cheese. They came with a side of thousand island dipping sauce and I thought they were amazing! Look online for happy hour specials. Thursday is half price drinks all day. Everything. Is. Half. Off. Angel's Envy was half off! IYKYK!

The food is good, I had a rueben on rye. The bread was toasted perfectly. You could hear the crunch when you bite into it. I also had fries whice in MY opinion were " meh" They have a full bar, so this would be an excellent place to watch the games, all of them. There's big screen televisions everywhere . The service was on point. I will be back.

Came here for a happy hour and it was so good. The staff was super friendly and I like the chill vibes of the place. We just got a few beers and appetizers. They only had two draft beers from heavy rift and a good selection of bottled beer. They also have a full bar. I got the toasted ravioli and the sauce was very good that came with them. My boyfriend got the honey wings and he loved them! I also got a small salad. There was nothing super special about the salad but it was still good. Overall, the food we had was great! I spoke with the owner a little and he was so friendly and nice. Happy we came and we'll be back for some drinks before a soccer game!

Went and ordered the French Toast, eggs and fried chicken breast. Really good food. The waiter was very professional and made us feel good about eating there. The place was homely feeling in a good way. Light inside traffic, but we did get there a little while after it opened. Only a few tables were occupied.

The food was excellent, I look forward to eating here again. All allergies were listened to carefully and repeated back to double check, and then when the food itself arrived it was rechecked to be safe. The waiter was also very polite and made sure we had everything we needed without being in the way of conversation. The wait was not super long, and while the environment of the restaurant was louder towards the end it never truly impeded on any conversations between people at our table.

Tried the single Smashburger with white American cheese. Patty was a little messed up but had good flavor. Toppings were onion and pickle.

Have a lot of respect for restaurants and business that opened during COVID, and Beffa's Bar and Restaurant is in that group. Got to check out this historic, family-owned business yesterday. Invited a former coworker to have lunch so we could catch up, and walking in it felt like a lot of business people lunch here. Beffa's Bar and Restaurant is located near the Wells Fargo complex in Midtown and is a great location for folx to grab a bite at lunch. For those of us who do not work Downtown, they have a giant parking lot behind the building with ample off-street parking. There are two entrances to Beffa's Bar and Restaurant, one near the parking lot and on on Olive. Both get you to the same place, but as a first timer, I was a little confused which door to use. I'm a smart cookie though and figured it out. The menu at Beffa's Bar and Restaurant is fairly small. Understandable for a joint still finding its footing in the St. Louis foodie scene. I selected the pub burger which was a burger, bacon and sunny-side up egg served on a pretzel bun. Also ordered a side of fries, which was an additional $4 but felt like their own meal because the serving size was so generous. My friend selected the double smash burger. It looked fine. Nothing stand out. Beffa's Bar and Restaurant got the job done without being flashy or taking too many risks. Here's my beefa with Beffa's. The pricing did not mirror the meal. MY pub burger was $15 and my fries were $4. Maybe that's not a lot to the finance people coming in from Wells-Fargo, but to me it was a little pricey for what I got. I tried to be understanding as they are a newly re-opened business and they're probably trying to recoup. Would love to see a lower priced lunch menu in the future. As for the atmosphere at Beffa's Bar and Restaurant, it was also a trade confused. I know this is a historic business and they may be a tad controlled by confines. The bathrooms felt like my Catholic grade school cinderblock bathrooms. There's an odd cafeteria style bar in the kitchen. Again, I'm sure that's a carryover from generations past. I know that Beffa's Bar and Restaurant is planning on having live music, but to me the atmosphere isn't really a "hang out." I wanted to eat and shuffle out.

St. Louis burger week brought me here. Got the Swiss fondue smash burger to go. Eat it with fork and knife unless you like to get sloppy. The burger was awesome and loved the cheese. 124 years in the game.

I stopped in Beffa's for lunch today (Wednesday). I was with my nephew and he was in the mood for a burger. We sat down, and were told to use the bar code scan on our phone. The first thing you're asked is to enter your name and phone number and whether it's separate checks or together. We did this and there were about 15 breakfast items that popped up. I asked the woman behind the bar how to get to the lunch menu, and she said that's all they offered. She said their kitchen was now run by Honey Bee or something like that, and burgers and rueben's were longer on the menu. While the food items looked good, we were not in the mood for breakfast, so we left. Place was clean.

Y'all.... What an outstanding place and dinner trip! The daily happy hour options are a freakin' deal, plus already cheap drinks of all kinds AND the weekly burger!! My husband thoroughly enjoyed this weeks burger.. I witnessed him scrapping cheese off the plate with his chips. It was the real deal. I like the house made cesar dressing a lot. The cheese and croutons were generous but not too much! Everything was great and we probably interacted with 5+ staff they were all awesome! We will be back
