Chef Michael Schlow Returns to Boston’s Fine Dining Scene | Eater Boston

"The French Vietnamese coffee shop Phinista in Fenway has undergone an ownership change after owners Yeanie Bach and Phi Pham announced they would be stepping away to prioritize family following the birth of their daughter; the announcement did not name the new owners." - Erika Adams

Boston’s Best Banh Mi | Eater Boston

"Owners Yeanie Bach and Phi Pham have been busy during the pandemic, transforming their Vietnamese coffee pop-up into a brick-and-mortar location. Phinista Cafe took over the former Neighborhoods Coffee and Crepes in Fenway, and it — along with its sibling restaurant, Bánh Mì Ơi (more below) — is turning out some of the best banh mi in the city. Versions include cold cut, grilled barbecue pork, grilled barbecue chicken, crispy shrimp, and tofu, and a vegan version is in the works. Phinista Cafe is open for takeout, with delivery via Grubhub beginning soon." - Terrence Doyle

Summer 2020 Restaurant Openings in and Around Boston | Eater Boston

"A Vietnamese-focused cafe that grew from a pop-up and delivery operation into a Fenway storefront specializing in Vietnamese drip coffee brewed with a phin filter, a Vietnamese lavender latte, bubble teas (mango and passion fruit), and a small pastry/crepe selection including creme brûlée crepes and ube lava cake; the owners have a history of serving healthcare workers and aim to highlight Vietnamese coffee culture." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

AM Intel: A Fix for Fast Food’s Broken Ice Cream Machine Problem? | Eater Boston

"I first saw Phinista appear in early 2020 as a delivery service offering coffees, teas, crepes, and pastries and popping up at events; the team opened Banh Mi Oi in West Roxbury in July, and Phinista’s menu includes items such as a Vietnamese lavender latte, mango and passion fruit bubble tea, a creme brulee crepe, and an ube lava cake—some of their beverages are also available at Banh Mi Oi—and they will be transitioning the Neighborhoods Coffee & Crepes space at 96 Peterborough St. into Phinista Cafe." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
