With bars and restaurant with a view of the Fox River, downtown Green Bay has grown up! The new Anchor Coffee sells a pup cup for your pooch with a natural cookie and all! Most places are dog friendly and allow your pup to eat with you outside. The Creamery serves brunch and coffee while Hagemeister Park offers beer cocktails and food with a view in the summer and heated igloos in the winter. The Fox River Trail makes for a great walk, with cool tunnels and picnic tables along the way. But the best part of Green Bay is that it is affordable. Lots of cool Vintage Clothing Stores and make it a great location for families ( free splash pad) and for those who want a River walk downtown experience without breaking the bank.

I'm a night owl so it doesn't hold that type of appeal for me, but it's clean and there are remarkably few empty storefronts. Few vagrants if any, no piles of trash, etc. I stayed at a downtown hotel and I was afraid of a Judgement Night situation (terrible film but not a wholly unrealistic depiction of LA at the time,) or worse: BALTIMORE; but it had more of a mall at closing time feel. Not as charming as Duluth but an order of magnitude cleaner. I wish that more of the nearby businesses were open early in the week, but that may be a post-Covocalypse condition. The aroma of local industry may be a bit off-putting for some, but it tells me this is a working city. Def worth exploring Thursday through Saturday when there are more dining and entertainment choices available. As far as infrastructure, it could do with more greenery and less surface parking. I did not see bike lanes but the speed limit is low and traffic isn't terrible. It should be easily navigable for a moderately experienced urban cyclist. I did not notice a lot of busses but probably not enough ridership to warrant it during off peak hours when I arrived. Overall surprisingly decent.

We were hungry for Al's Burgers. We were able to park very close on a cold and windy day. Never disappointed there! Lots of fancy burgers nowadays but I get hungry for a simple, seasoned burger on a good grilled buns with grilled onions!! Al's knows their burgers!!!

There is lots to do in downtown Green Bay. It’s almost unbelievable what a transformation this sector of Green Bay has gone through in just the past 5 or so years. There are many bars and restaurants to visit in addition to small shopping centers. From the Farmers Markets to festivals and more, this is the place to be if you’re visiting town or live here and just want to have a fun day/night out.

Between farmers market and art show it was a very enjoyable morning. Only problem is that the prices are HIGH! There is a self serve stand by my house for a third of the price. The artwork was really nice and unique but you would need a bank loan to buy any of it. Too bad because if it was reasonably priced I would have bought some. And yes I know, artists need to make a living also but they don't need to scalp their customers.

I was on Washington street for the draft booyah challenge, and the Uncle Mikes new Kringles.

Our boardwalk offers so much for all ages. Water sprinklers, ice cream and a nice place to sit and relax having a cold drink. You can even take your dog for a walk.
