Outdoor market with local produce, crafts, food, and live music

"A weekly farmers market in Mueller that hosts local food vendors selling items like jarred salsas — for example, a smoky, thicker red adobada paste and a bright, tangy, chunkier green tatemada — typically offered in $8 jars and available both at the market on Sundays and via vendor delivery channels or partner kitchens." - Nadia Chaudhury

"The Mueller farmers market is relocating from the Browning Hangar into the pavilion at Mary Elizabeth Branch Park (2006 Philomena Street), gaining both indoor and outdoor space; the grand opening is scheduled for Sunday, June 27 at 10 a.m., and future operating hours will be Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m." - Nadia Chaudhury

"Operating Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this market follows strict COVID-19 precautions: food is sold prepackaged, patrons cannot eat or drink at the market, and preordering from vendors is encouraged to limit time spent on-site and reduce person-to-person contact." - Nina Hernandez

"Austin has a series of farmers’ markets throughout the city. The most central, in Austin’s Republic Square, sets up on Saturday mornings, but it’s worth taking a Sunday-morning excursion to the one in Mueller, in northeast Austin. Once home to Austin’s original airport, this neighborhood is a planned housing development that has attracted families for its pedestrian-friendly streets, community pools, tennis courts, and playgrounds. Critically acclaimed restaurants have now followed, as well as independent shops and a wonderful children’s museum. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that this farmers’ market is particularly family friendly. Along with fruits and vegetables from Austin-area farms, there are great prepared foods; don’t miss the pork-and-cabbage dumplings from Steamies, drinkable yogurts from Mother Culture, and fruit popsicles at Mom & Pops. You can set up your spread on a picnic blanket in one of the grassy lawns surrounding the stands. Kids will also love the pony rides (this is Texas, after all) and the petting zoo, a small penned area filled with bearded dragons, bunnies, and chicks. There’s also live music, as well as the occasional face-painting and balloon man." - Stirling Kelso

"The Mueller location of the Texas Farmers' Market will begin Wednesday evening markets starting in May, operating from 5 to 8 p.m. and located in the Browning Hangar." - Nadia Chaudhury
