Chocolate lover, or not? Then try a Cinnamon Knot, or their Triple Cheese Croissant? No matter what you pick, you’re sure to walk away and come back for more. The tart - buttery and crumbly - brings an excellent balance of sweetness and a touch of salt that complements the rich filling of gooey chocolate. Smooth and velvety, the dark chocolate hums with a restrained sweetness and is balanced with a hint of bitterness, melting in your mouth, leaving a lingering cocoa aroma that’s bolstered by a light dusting of cocoa powder and a drizzle of chocolate glaze. Sweet and spiced, unequivocally nice, it’s perfect for those who love warm flavours. Each bite is soft, fluffy and brings a satisfying chew, with a golden-brown exterior coated in a subtle sugariness. It opens up into a generous cinnamon sugar filling, swirled throughout the knot, offering a sweet and whispers of spice in every bite, yet another reason why cinnamon is my favourite seasoning. Finally, this isn’t my first time with their cheesy croissant, layered with flaky, buttery layers of golden perfection that shatter with each bite to reveal a soft, airy interior structure—packed with a complex, cheesy aroma that exudes umami and indulgence, reinforced by the crunchy, nutty poppy seed crust. It lives up to the hype.
EDIT: More goodies. The canele has a deeply caramelized exterior, for a rich depth of flavour and a crispy texture to contrast the gooey vanilla custard center, while the kouign aman has an attractive shape and a beautiful contrast of textures and flavours.
