Osteria LuCa blew us away from start to finish. The Picasso Moon and Sinai Burrata were the perfect openers, followed by standout dishes like the Beef Carpaccio, Sweet Potato Gnocchi, and Pappardelle Bolognese. The Hot Honey & Meatball pizza and Pan-Seared Salmon were cooked to perfection, and the Caramel Apple Cheesecake was an unforgettable finish. Our server Danny was phenomenal — friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. An incredible meal and even better service

Great date spot with a warm, relaxed vibe. Moderately expensive but worth it. The pizza was excellent and full of flavor, apps and pasta were well done, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Solid red wine selection to round everything out. Overall, a great experience and a place I’d happily return to.

Had a lovely date night at Osteria Luca! We had a mixup with our reservation and the staff treated us SO kindly and wonderfully. They truly embody their “be kind” motto. And the lasagna was the best we’ve had in Charlotte!! We will be back.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. This has been our go to Italian spot for years now. The only reason it’s taken me so long to write a review is because I like to include photos and literally can’t wait to dig in when I go here. My favorite dish is their Pappardelle Bolognese, and nothing compares to it but my husband often switches it up and has loved every dish. The staff is excellent, and we often run into one of the owners here, Trish, who is such nice person! What they’ve done here is amazing because their food, service, everything is so consistently great, they never disappoint!

Our first visit to Osteria LuCa was tonight for NYE. We got an early reservation at the bar. Atmosphere and service was fantastic! We started with the calamari, then ordered the meatball & hot honey pizza and the bolognese for our entrees. All of the food was exceptional! My husband loved his bourbon cocktails and I had a fantastic espresso martini. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a relaxed yet still elevated atmosphere.

I have been coming here for a few years now. The service is phenomenal. Food is always excellent. They update the menu seasonally (thank you!). Liz at the bar and Scott are consummate professionals. I come back often lately because of Liz. She's a great bartender. Today I had the seafood stew!

I brought my mom here for her birthday dinner and we had an amazing time. Everything about our experience was perfect! Our server was wonderful. He was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations. The food was delicious!🤤 The mussels were definitely my favorite item on the menu. The broth was amazing and I loved the grilled bread served with it. I also really enjoyed the Prawn and polenta. While this was my first visit here, I have a feeling everything on the menu is going to be delicious.

One of the most underrated Italian spots in Charlotte! Stumbled upon it and not many people I know talk about it - after going I tell everyone it is my favorite pasta spot in CLT! Service is great, potions are huge and the prices are great. Even better if you go during lunch time for their meal deals.

Great vibe (a lot of pretty people) with good-but-not-amazing menu offerings First, I'll come back. I appreciate what this place is, and they have a lot going for it. My main gripe: there is little nuance with the seasoning (given the five things we tried) and it just keeps the dishes from being awesome. The best chefs manage the salt or chili or whatnot so they're not noticeable nor do they get in the way of the dishes. It just doesn't happen here, but they're close. One other small gripe: the mocktail menu has two offers (one is quite tart and needed another shot of simple syrup to get it drinkable) and it totally lacks any dryseco or NA Sparkling Wine. With the volume of bottles that place has, make some space for more to offer the nondrinkers.

I went recently for dinner with my boyfriend as we had been gifted a gift card to try this spot out. I've heard wonderful things and I was excited to give it a try. The ambiance was cute, and plenty of parking being in Park Rd Shopping Center. We were also greeted quickly and our server was great. He recommended dishes for us to try. The calamari was really tasty, especially the aioli it came with. We decided to share the Hot Honey and Meatball Pizza as well as the Penne with Chicken and Asparagus. Neither dishes were memorable unfortunately. We were really hoping the Hot Honey Meatball Pizza had a kick to it, but the flavor was pretty bland. Same with the pasta dish. I'd probably try other things next time I come back. We did end with the brownie sundae which was delicious! Highly recommend. Overall, its a decent spot. I do want to try other things next time.

No notes. I went here for lunch with a dear friend and had an amazing meal. I needed to meet somewhere in the Park Road shopping center, and this place ended up being a gem. The service is upscale, and the restaurant is modern and inviting. I really enjoyed coming here for lunch, the portions and the prices were on point. My friend enjoyed the Primavera while I enjoyed the Wildberry salad and the mushroom and caramelized onion pizza. For dessert, we had the bread, pudding and the tiramisu. I'm really picky about tiramisu, this one was fine, but doesn't make it anywhere near the top of the list for me. I don't see any reason to deduct any stars from this charming Italian Osteria nestled in the bustle of Park Road shopping center. Would definitely recommend and I am happy to go back at any time. PS. Sorry I didn't get any food pics this time round, I was too busy enjoy enjoying the company of my friend.

Osteria Luca was really good!!! I thought the service and the lighting/decor inside was great. And all of our food was delicious. The Bolognese was a table favorite as well as the meatballs. The only note at the table was that the Orecchiette was a little too heavy. Will definitely be back!

5/5! This place is incredible! I have been dining here since 2021 and they were great then and are great now. A great, locally owned restaurant. They have great homemade pastas and sauces, excellent fresh pizzas and great service. Some of my favorites are the Rigatoni alla Vodka, Cavatelli with Lamb Sausage and Broccoli Rabe, any of their gnocchi dishes. Their puttanesca pizza is also incredible as is their broccoli rabe and sausage! The staff is so friendly and welcoming too. Easily one of the BEST restaurants in Charlotte regardless of cuisine type.

I went on a Friday evening with a large party . Man was it packed. The restaurant is very intimate and the staff were friendly. I opted for the roasted chicken. It was crispy and delicious. Downside was the veggies that came with it . I didn't feel it meshed well at all . Next time I will swap out for another veggie.

Great food and service! Didn't get to dine inside on our first trip but the ambiance looked nice. We'll be back and book our reservation a bit earlier next time.

I think I've found my favorite lasagna in Charlotte. They just added it to the menu, and I hope it sticks around. What I love about Osteria Luca is how they nail the layers in their dishes. Whether it's the eggplant parm, lasagna, or tiramisu, each layer stands out, with no mushy mess here. It makes the food look and taste amazing. Their lasagna features house-made pasta sheets, pork sauce, Parmesan, pomodoro, mozzarella, and ricotta. The combination is spot on, with flavors and textures that hit the mark.

This place had cool people, cool vibe, and the coffee was much better than I expected and I'm pretty picky on coffee. I would definitely come here again. Did I mention how nice the staff were?

New place I tried on my latest trip to Charlotte thanks to coworkers, and I'll definitely be adding it to my rotation of favorite spots! We started with the true meatballs and fried mozzarella, which were a big hit, and I had the Luca chopped salad with grilled chicken for my main dish. If I had been hungrier, I would've tried the wild mushroom white pizza or the cavatelli with lamb sausage. My coworkers enjoyed their chicken parmigiana, puttanesca pizza, roasted Brussels sprouts, and potato gnocchi with prosciutto. The drinks were equally good, and our wine loving crowd seemed to enjoy their selections. As a craft beer fan, I was pleased with the local options that were on tap. We were a party of 8, so we were seated at a large round table, packed in a little tight, near the entrance. But there seemed to be lots of good seating options for smaller groups, and a decent amount of space at the bar. The only downside really was the location. It's located in a busy strip mall, so there's a constant flow of cars pulling in and out of spaces or looking for parking. It took us about 10 minutes of circling until we found a spot and this was on a random Wednesday, so I can't even imagine what it's like on weekends. On the way out, we saw a special parking space with the sign that said "Reserved Parking for people who commit random acts of kindness." Love that idea and will have to do some good deeds between now and then to earn that spot next time I come to Osteria LuCa.

For one reason or another, I wasn't able to check out this restaurant 'til now...and glad I finally did. We made reservations thru Resy, so able to slide right in during a Saturday night rush hour. However, I noticed that there were only a few tables that had optimal placement. Meaning, many tables were adjacent to doors, wait staff station, bathroom hallway, bar, pizza station, etc. etc. We ended up in one of these half-booths (not a fan of these seatings) right next to the wait staff station...but luckily, it wasn't too annoying. Nevertheless, I didn't like the busy layout. The restaurant itself was nicely appointed (casual, but chic), but the overall ambiance felt a bit chaotic...and for me anyway, not too cozy. One other thing I didn't love was their acoustics. There were a lot of clinking noises...of utencils, people yapping, etc.etc. Plus, there was no overhead music! Italian or some romantic genre music overhead would have been a nice touch. Now, the foods! We ordered Brussels Sprouts, Eggplant Parmigiana with Spaghetti and Rigatoni Alla Vodka with Shrimp. Also, asked for some bread. The Vodka Pasta sauce was delish, but just a tad heavy. I really appreciated the plumpness of both the penne pasta and the shrimp! My husband LOVED his Eggplant Parmigiana...even remarked how it was possibly the best he had?!? Their complimentary bread was Foccacia...and it was also really good. The only thing I didn't care for was their version of Brussels Sprouts...which had a bitter taste (too much lemon?) that didn't appeal to me. Still, I thought their foods were really good...solid! I liked their menu...and am thinking I should try one of their pizzas next time. The service was good...and surprisingly fast! All of our foods were delivered rather quickly. The restaurant was much more casual than I had anticipated...and the pricing was friendlier as well. Aside from the "busy" restaurant layout/ambiance, we both really liked the foods here...definitely enough to return. PS***Should have used a flash with the pictures...all kinda blurry! :\

Flew into Charlotte and headed there directly. The food and service were excellent. Their wine selection also outstanding. Would be definitely a place to visit again on our next trip to Charlotte.

My favorite Italian in CLT! Inconspicuously located in Park Road Shipping Center, Osteria LuCa is a delicious Italian spot. It is perfect for date night, family dinners, or entertaining out of town guests. I love the ambience of the restaurant and they also have patio seating. I would recommend a reservation, especially for weekends. I have dined at Osteria LuCa many times, and my personal favorites are the rigatoni alla vodka and the cavatelli with lamb sausage and rabe....SO delicious. The pizzas are also wood fired to perfection! I always look forward to dining at Osteria LuCa and I look forward to returning for my favorites and to try something new!

My hubby surprised me with a nice Valentine's Day dinner at Osteria LuCa. I was not properly dressed because I was not expecting to go to a nice dinner, but after blasting him out for not at least giving me a heads up to dress properly, I settled down. We were seated outside thank goodness. Most of the patrons were dressed nicely and seemed like a semi upscale establishment. It was rather busy too, which is to be expected on Valentine's Day. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc and my hubby ordered a lemon-cello cocktail. My hubby also started off with a caesar salad. He said it was delicious but not better than Emmy's Squared Pizza restaurant (they set the bar high). We finally ordered our entrees. I ordered the Cioppino (Seafood Stew) with gluten-free bread. Hubby ordered a wood fired pepperoni pizza. Verdict: The Cioppino was decent. I just wish it had more shrimp and liquid. The flavor was average. There was really nothing special about the meal. My bread was average gluten-free bread drizzled with oil and salt sprinkled on top. I have had some really good gluten-free bread at other restaurants, but it seems like the gluten-free bread here is an afterthought. My hubby said that his pizza was really good but again, not better than Emmy's Squared Pizza restaurant. Hubby's rating Cocktails - 4/5 Caesar Salad - 4/5 Pizza 4/5 My rating Cioppino (Seafood Stew) - 3.5/5 Gluten-free bread - 3/5 Customer Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Overall rating - 3.78 (4 stars) I would definitely try a different dish the next time I visit this restaurant. If you want a consistently good Italian experience then Osteria Luca is it. The service is always impeccable and the food is consistently good time and again. It's a large space but it feels cozy and intimate. Cocktails are always good too

What can I say about Osteria LuCa. First - the service was next level. Was thoroughly surprised by the attention and friendliness by both our host and waitress. We arrived 20 min early and immediately got seated. Second (and most importantly) - the food might have been the best Italian meal I've had in Charlotte. The buratta was second to none, brussels were crispy and delicious. Angel hair pasta and Pesto Prosciutto pizza satisfies more than a cold shower after a long day at the beach. 9.5/10 would recommend.

I have nothing but good things to say about the food here. You will not be disappointed. Osteria LuCa is tucked away in Park Road Shopping Center. It's a small restaurant (a little loud and overcrowded), but I will forgive all that because of how good the food is. But be prepared to wait--whether you have a reservation or not. Every time we come here (with a reservation), we've had to wait upwards of 30 minutes before our table is ready. This place is packed on evenings and weekends, and they overbook. The food is worth the wait, but I sure wish they could honor reservation times.

Wow! I was super impressed with this restaurant. It's situated in a busy strip of stores, and it was very busy as well. The outdoor and indoor seating was all occupied. Our server gave us her recommendations, and I went with the bolognese. Omg. It was so good!! Business was booming the evening I went, so even through it was dimly light the energy and vibes were high! I'll be back!

My wife and I came here for dinner and really enjoyed our experience. They seated us at the community table in the front but it was still an enjoyable experience. Our server did an excellent job. It was out first time here and they were very helpful in helping us decide on what to order. I ordered the Cioppino and my wife ordered the Bucatini Arrabiata. Both dishes were full of flavor and had good portions. We really enjoyed our experience and would return again when we are in the area.

Our experience was not so great here -- our pizza was so soggy, all of the toppings slopped off when eating it. The crust had zero firmness. The vodka pasta had really good flavor, but the prices are insane for the portions (IMO). The brussel sprout app was good but nothing you can't make in your own air fryer. Our server rushed us and took our plates before we were even done and still had food on them :/ the best part was the warm brownie sundae!

A descent restaurant in Park Road Shopping Center. Thus easy to park for sure. Reservation recommended for dinners and weekends. The appetizers and pizzas were served super fast. Everything tasty, the Prosciutto di Parma worth another highlight for its fig spread - I Iike that twist of sweet to the meat pizza though cannot guarantee that everyone would adore it. As for entrees, the clam pasta seemed not on the online menu but it turned out to be great. My friend and I shared the seafood risotto, and it came to the table with two divided portions - easy for sharing. The restaurant was almost full when we dined out there on a Friday night and the tables were pretty close to each other. If I had to be picky - our server did not come proactively to take the order but other severs offered to help voluntarily.

This spot is now one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Charlotte. My husband and I shared: - Whipped Ricotta with Spiced Apples - Wild Mushrooms & Caramelized Onions Pizza - Cavateli with Lamb Sausage & Rabe The whipped ricotta is absolutely a must order. I loved whipped cheeses and the spiced apples went with it really well. Between the pizza and pasta, I liked the pasta more which is rare for me. Don't get me wrong, the pizza was really good, I just loved the pasta. If you haven't been, make a reservation and fix that!

I came here on a weeknight with my best friend after we went to a book signing next door. We came in within the closing hour, but the hostess was generous enough to let us in any way. The ambiance is romantic and classy. We sat at the bar and promptly placed our drink and food orders. The bartender didn't seem happy to see the last-minute additions but remained pleasant enough throughout the interaction. I ordered a cocktail and the pappardelle bolognese, which was flavorful and filling. As soon as we finished, we left to relieve the staff.

I'm usually not a fan of Italian or pasta but I really enjoyed Osteria LuCa. The most memorable part for me was how friendly and accommodating the staff were. Their service was excellent. But on top of that, their food is very good. My favorite menu item I tried was their Whipped Ricotta with Spiced Apples appetizer. Followed closely by their Cavatelli with Lamb Sausage & Rabe and Wild Mushrooms & Caramelized Onions Pizza. I'll definitely try to make it back to try more.

I hosted my 30th birthday celebration at this establishment, and from the initial planning stages to the event itself, owners Ken and Trish were incredibly accommodating and professional. I partnered with Events and Designs by Wanda, LLC for event planning, which complemented the venue perfectly. The space itself is outstanding, offering both excellent aesthetics and a convenient location with ample parking. The food was authentically delicious, and the service was exceptional. Special mention goes to bartender Liz, who created a unique "Death to My 20s" cocktail and an abstract skull design to match the theme. Overall, this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Charlotte, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. I ordered the Orecchiette Alla Pesto, chefs kiss!

I had high expectations. Only the Margarita Pizza met those expectations. It was excellent. The place was also super clean and the staff was friendly. However... The Cheese Pizza was okay. This is more of a Margarita Pizza place. The Moomba Cookie Jar was way overpriced. The gelato was good but the cookie wasn't warm and you basically pay $11 for a jar of gelato with a few cookies tossed in. The menu selection isn't wide. In fact, there are more drink selections than food. And most items (food or drink) are overpriced. But that's the atmosphere and kind of fits. Recommended for Margarita Pizza and a drink if money not an issue.

Met some friends here for dinner and we were not disappointed! It's smaller than I thought it would be inside, but it felt both open yet cozy. We tried the Spring Vegetables Frito Misto which was so lightly breaded and tasty, the Whipped Honey & Basil Goat Cheese which I don't even love goat cheese but was so flavorful and a great balance of savory and sweet, and also the Brussel Sprouts which were perfectly seasoned and fried. For main dishes I got the pepperoni pizza and added mushroom. It tasted so fresh and homemade. My husband got the Chicken Parmesan which he loved and was a large portion. The kicker was we got dessert, some sort of chocolate mascarpone mousse pie that was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more! Also to note: Someone in our group could not have gluten and they did a very good job making sure she knew what her options were and separating out what she could eat from what she couldn't.

Went on a late Wednesday evening with my family, staff was very welcoming and it all started with great service. We ordered the gnocchi with prosciutto to share and it was gone in a blink! So so good! For mains we ordered the Rigatoni a la vodka, spaghetti and meatballs and pappardelle bolognese. Everything was amazing! Will definitely be back soon.

This place is really nice. The staff were kool and the food was good. My husband and I both got salads with salmon and shrimp. We wanted to keep it health. My salad do come with too much dressing. They were able to make me another salad with dressing on the side. We did get cocktails drinks. They had margaritas, martini specials on Wednesday. I would go back again for dinner.

Located in the Park Road Shopping center, which has lots of parking that makes it easy to place an order and check out some of the neighboring businesses while waiting. I ordered half margherita half wild mushrooms and caramelized onions which was super thin and delicious. They also have pasta, soup, salad, and sandwiches that I look forward to trying on my next visit.

I planned to eat somewhere else nearby and it was closed so I walked into Luca for lunch and was surprised by how delightful it was. The farro salad (I added salmon) was so good I had to put down my work and focus on the meal. I will definitely be back. John, my waiter, was fantastic as well -- made great recommendations and made me feel very welcome. I wasn't sure if I would be out of place working during lunch here but it was perfectly fine! Lots of folks taking lunch meetings. And great natural light

What a phenomenal experience! So glad we took a chance and dined at Osteria Luca. My husband and I are visiting from Miami. Our daughter just had a baby and we came to Charlotte to meet our first grand baby girl. As our last night in Charlotte, we wanted to have a nice dinner before we head back home. If you are like me and want a great dining experience, done hesitate any longer and come to Osteria Luca. Everything we ordered was delicious! Thanks to our server who made the decisions much easier. She made the best recommendations. We started with the mussels. OMG if I can only bottle the broth that soaked these mussels. If it wasn't such a pretty place, I would have souped up the broth lol. My husband had the Cavatelli pasta with lamb sausage. You can definitely tell the pasta was made fresh and the lemon butter sauce was so tasty. Highly recommend it. I had the Luca Chopped salad with shrimp. Boy oh boy what a refreshing salad with pecans and pieces of Brie. It was delicious. For dessert our server made the recommendation of the warm bread pudding with vanilla gelato. This was absolutely amazing. It was warm but toasty on the top. You definitely get the different textures. This was scrumptious! Please don't hesitate to try this place. I recommend making reservations. This is definitely a hip place and so nicely arranged. I would have never imagined a restaurant at this caliber to be located here. When visiting Charlotte again I will be coming and making sure to bring my foodie friends along. The service, food, and the ambiance was exceptional. Hands down!

Visited on a Thursday evening with some friends to grab dinner. We had a reservation so we were seated quickly. The restaurant is cute and intimate. For starters we decided to go with the short rib and caramelized onion pizza, a Caesar salad, and mozzarella frito. My friends thought the pizza was just ok and missing a glaze to bring the flavors of the pizza together. I never received my salad so I think the waiter forgot to put the order in. For our main dishes we each ordered a pasta dish and only one person thought their dish was good. I had the linguine ai funghi and it was lacking salt and flavor. The pasta was a little undercooked and the mushrooms didn't add to the dish. I was really hoping that I would like this place, but left disappointed. Not sure that I would return.

Classy little spot with great service. We came on a Tues night around 6:30 and the place was already full - but we were able to get a seat at the pizza bar. Apparently, Tues is a 1/2 off wine night - which I'm guessing draws the crowd. I'm not a wine person so I tend to zero in on the beer selection - and they had a small but solid menu of options including local crafts. We started with the Whipped Ricotta ($14) and really enjoyed it. My bride ordered the Margherita ($16) and it was fine. Frankly, she thinks wood fired pizza's are hard to cook evenly without burning the bottom. And that proved to be the case here as well. I went with the Cavatelli with Lamb ($21) and it was fantastic! Service from John and the entire staff was excellent!

We have been wanting to try Osteria LuCa for sometime. We booked a reservation for a Saturday evening. We arrived and we were seated right away. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside because it's getting fairly chilly outside. There are heaters outside so if you dress warm, you most certainly could sit outside and enjoy the meal. The menu had a great selection of dishes and drinks. We started off with a couple glasses of wine and the mussels. The mussels were delicious and we were also provided gluten free bread along with the grilled bread. We settled on pizzas for our entrees. We ordered the Meat Lovers and the Garden. For those of who need a GF option, they have GF crust (rice or cauliflower). For reference, the Garden was on the rice crust. Both pizzas were delicious. Lots of toppings on both. I only ate half of mine but my significant other crushed his. The rice crust was a fantastic crust option. The service was exceptional. I can't really compare the price to other Italian restaurants but the prices are on the menu so compare for yourself

Fantastic pizza and salad combination meal! For lunch you can have an 8 inch pizza and a salad meal. I had the arugula, prosciutto pizza and Caesar salad. I loved the salad and the dressing was delicious. The pizza was a good combination of prosciutto, arugula, fig spread and crunchy crust. We sat outside and had a reservation for lunch on a weekend. Good service and kind servers. My friends have some dietary restrictions and they helped us. Parking is busy at Park Road shopping center, I recommend walking from the parking lot.

We had the best dinner at Osteria LuCa! The ambiance in this little gem is perfect. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The Tuesday 1/2 of wine bottles deal was CLUTCH. And the food - WOW. There were so many things that looked good to us on the menu that we didn't get to try... we are definitely going to be coming back for another round soon. We shared the meatballs (which came with some really yummy toasted bread), the margherita pizza (which was more saucy than we were used to, but the sauce was so fresh and tasty that we didn't mind) and the mushrooms al forno (out of this world good), and our waiter even brought us a slice of chocolate mousse cake free of charge since he knew it was my birthday! Seriously awesome spot in Park Road Shopping Center - we will be back!!!

My friend and I planned to have dinner at a spot close to here - I have been wanting to try Osteria Luca for while now- but haven't had a chances so this worked out great :) I was happily surprised by how delicious this place is. The spritz were on special for sunday so we had the pineapple aperol spritz and it was divine! To start we had the pistachio burrata. I do not lie when I say I think it's the best burrata and flavor I have had! the ambiance is cozy but beautiful inside and it was rainy out so we sat next to the open fire for the pizzas! My friend and I split a 5 cheese pizza and it was amazing! Next time I would love to try a pasta dish. Highly recommend this place. Our server was so friendly and attentive too! can't wait tl come back :)
