We had a great experience here. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was also well decorated. A very family friendly restaurant. They brought out a birthday treat and sang for our son’s birthday. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be coming back when we’re in the area. We had the fajita and the whole fish. The beans were also so good!

Google
Fantastic and authentic. I had the mole flight, Carnitas taco, Pernil taco, and Camerones Gobernador. All exquisite.

First time here. As it was early evening, it was uncrowded. Server/bar tender was great. My wife and I had the mixed fajitas, a battered fish taco and a shrimp taco. I have to say all the food was good, but not amazing. The atmosphere was very enjoyable. Good margarita! Overall a solid experience and we will return.

Date night has come around, and yet once again, we have opted for Mexican cuisine. The reason we chose this restaurant is because my wife felt like having Tortilla Soup, and this restaurant happened to be "famouse" for its flan and authenticity. It's located right next to the equestrian center and has a decent amount of parking. The inside looks bit "cold" although the decorations look recent. Reading the menu 2 things popped to my attention as a Mexican foodie, 1) This restaurant is one of five restaurants in a corporation, and 2) They have all-you-can-eat taco Tuesday. Anyway... when our order arrived, it was our impression that the Tortilla Soup was prepared with a quick-mix of powders, same impression with the Flan. I also ordered the Aguachile de Camarones, which I enjoyed very much, the shrimp tasted very fresh, personally I would have used 1/3 of the cucumber ratio, but I just put what I didn't need aside. The tacos, on the other hand, did not look bad at all.

Google
This strikingly beautiful restaurant serves up very expensive mediocre Mexican food and cocktails. Google maps lists it in the $20-$30 range but one can easily drop $80 per person. I ordered a simple wet burrito that was served up cold. The waiter tried to tell me that was because of the lettuce inside! I'm Mexican who's had numerous wet burritos in my lifetime and that one was simply a dog with fleas!! There was no melted cheese on top and the Chile Colorado on top was cold as well as the burrito itself. I am very dissapointed with this place and will never set foot inside ever again!

Google
Great food, great service. If you're feeling adventurous, try their crickets. Seriously. At least you can say you ate something weird. 🙂 The chili rellenos are delicious.

Google
Had a excellent early dinner here mole is exquisite! The enchiladas were amazing and the aguas frescas are homemade and perfection! Highly recommend the queso fundido with chorizo delicious! All around service was 100%

Finally got to go to this amazing authentic Mexican restaurant. You feel like your home! Music on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Everything taste like it real slow food. Will come again with family and friends.

Yelp
Maaaaan shoutout Celias's !! I've been here a handful of times for the Sunday specials and to catch some games on their TV's, as well as their happy hours. The owner and the crew in the back are always on point, and remember me to where they look happy to see me, and I appreciate that from them :) and to Liz that works behind the bar, she shares my Eagles fandom , so it makes Sunday football that much better ! Easily one of my favorite spots to hit, and looking forward to the next time. If you are reading this, just know you will not regret trying this place out! Cheers! (p.s.... their Taco Tuesday is undefeated)

Yelp
Have been a number of times since their opening, and always enjoy the food. Excellent Molé, delicious tacos, tasty soup, fresh Civiche... They do a Taco Tuesday, all-you-can-eat, whixh is a great value! The last couple of times, there has been some good live music and a cool, neighborhood vibe. Service is always very good to excellent! They really don't get as much love as deserved, and I do hope with the new homes going into the old Pickwick space that business improves.

Yelp
In a quaint part of Burbank off Riverside Dr. next to the equestrian center is where you'll find Celia's; a cute and ornately decorated Mexican restaurant. I have to admit that when I first tried Celia's a year ago I was not a fan and that was because when I received my food it was not what I was expecting. The rice and beans were not your traditional refried pinto beans and Spanish rice. That doesn't mean it tasted bad it just wasn't what I was expecting or wanted in that moment. BUT HEAR ME OUT! I recently came back as some friends wanted to try it since the ownership change and my view completely changed. I am actually now obsessed with Celia's and it is one of my new favorite Mexican restaurants around town. I decided to order the chicken fajitas that night and was actually blown away by how tender and flavorful they were. The fajitas also had potatoes in them which was a pleasant surprise because I love potatoes and have never seen them in fajitas. Since my initial visit a year ago, my palette has changed a lot and the refried black beans and cilantro rice were also just as tasty. I believe this is Yucatan style which is something I didn't know at the time but also to keep in mind of what to expect when you visit Celia's which I don't think is too common around here but still delicious nonetheless. As far as my friends, they had ordered the chicken taquito appetizer and flautas de papa. They both enjoyed their food as well! After this new discovery with my friends, I decided to bring my parents back and they absolutely loved the mole here. Both of them ordered the enmoladas and completely demolished their plates. They had been here once on my initial encounter and loved it then and still love it now. I decided to order the chicken taquitos as my meal with a side of rice and beans and it was the perfect amount if you're trying to eat a little lighter. In regards to the restaurant itself, I was honestly surprised with how quiet it has been each time - it's not ever busy and that worries me about business because I want Celia's to be around for a long time! The food is great, staff is great - they always bring out my food fast and efficiently and check in on you as well. If there are any problems with this place, it's really just how tiny the parking lot is. There was a massive truck one of the times I visited that made it really difficult to exit, so beware on that. Otherwise I recommend giving Celia's a visit!

Yelp
A friend and I had tickets to an event at the Burbank equestrian center. Near the entrance of the center, there is a Mexican restaurant that replaced the old Viva eatery that had been there for decades. Viva had always been a place for good drinks and adequate food. We decided to eat an early dinner at Celia's before the event because we could park at the equestrian center and walk to the restaurant. Because it was early, the place had only a few customers in it. We were promptly seated and ordered drinks and guacamole with chips for an appetizer. It was delicious. We then ordered what we thought would be a light dinner of a couple à la carte items. I ordered a Oaxaca enchilada filled with Oaxacan cheese covered in bean sauce, along with a grilled shrimp taco. My friend ordered the same taco and a chile relleno. When our food came, the portions were beautiful and generous. My enchilada was absolutely delicious, and the taco was packed full of shrimp. My friend let me taste her relleno, and it melted in my mouth. The menu offers a variety of items. It did not resemble the typical combo plates usually seen in such restaurants. Our drinks were great, the food fantastic, and the prices reasonable. We will definitely come back here on a regular basis.

Yelp
My husband recently threw me a 50th birthday party at Celia's and it was great. Liz and her staff handled everything with ease; she was so friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Our guests all had a fabulous time and the food and drinks were excellent. The event was in the back room and side bar. They allowed us to bring in a DJ, lighting, and decorations but we used their chairs and tables. They gave us to-go boxes at the end because there was so much food left over! They even cut and served the cake at a minimal additional charge. I'm really writing this review on behalf of my husband (and family friend) as he is not used to planning events and Celia's made it seamless. Choosing this venue was a great decision and highly recommend it for a private party. (Special thanks to Alex and.. my husband says, "Adios, Cesar!")

V R.

Yelp
The service was great. The food was great. My favorite food to order is the carnitas plate. It happened to be my birthday and they gave me a tres leches cake and played Las Mananitas. They made my day really special. In the back room, they have horse memorabilia which was amazing.

Yelp
Visited here for the first time Saturday after a family member recently moved into the area (Rancho District of Burbank, right next door to the Los Angeles Equestrian Center). This restaurant was fantastic! The decor is very traditional Mexican with heavy dark wood furniture, lots of colorful adornments on the walls, and a beautiful bar, but it is very casual and relaxed! We looked at the menu beforehand (as we always do!) and saw that the food is not necessarily what one might consider 'traditional' Mexican but is a bit more upscale and has distinct Yucatán influenced dishes among the favorites! We ordered a Taco Dorado de Papa (potato taco), Pollo (chicken) Asado tacos w/rice and beans (Frijoles Negros), Cochinita Pibil (slow roasted pork), Ceviche de Cameron (shrimp), Guacamole, and 3 drinks (2 mocktails: Mockgarita, Miche-Nada) and a traditional Margarita. THE FOOD WAS ALL WONDERFUL! And so beautifully presented! (Sadly, we were so blown away by the striking presentation that we forgot to take pictures and got right down to eating!) The potato tacos were super crispy and the corn tortillas for the chicken tacos and Pibil were fresh and thick! The Pibil was definitely a big hit, as it came in its own mini cast iron platter and was fall-apart tender! The sides of rice and beans were also a nice surprise, as the herbed rice had a nice cilantro flavor and the black refried beans were creamy and smooth - side note I have not seen black beans presented this way before as they are usually served as whole beans but definitely liked them served this way even better! Our meal/drinks for 4 came in at a very reasonable $130 with tax and a 3% credit card surcharge (We saw several reviews complaining about the surcharge: we didn't mind it as it is now the norm at some restaurants; they don't surcharge debit cards or cash). Overall, this was a great meal and we will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Came back again Saturday night. As usual, food was on point and delicious. Margaritas are perfection here. Liz was our server and she was awesome. So attentive and friendly. We are always so happy when she gets to wait on us. It was a great night because of the food and service!

Yelp
My companion and I had the swai white fish lunch. Generous portions of the fish, fries, and salad. I took the rice and tortillas home bc there was so much food. Free homemade tortilla chips and salsa (too spicy for us, but it was good). For dessert, we shared the churros and vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious! Great service, nice decor of horses, paintings, saddles made into mirrors, wheels made into chandeliers, sombreros, etc. There's a front patio and an AYCE room in the back room. We opted to sit in the main room. Place is bigger than it looks from the outside. Small parking lot in front. Restaurant is located in front of the LA Equestrian Center. I'd be back!

Yelp
The carnitas burrito was served cold. The dish did not come out of an oven as other restaurants. The burrito was cold from the first bite. Nothing I could tell the server would convince him the dish was served cold.
google avatar

Yelp
You get nice sized portions of really tasty Mexican food here! And the pricing is worthy.

Yelp
This is little hidden gem! The ambiance is so cute, and so Mexican. The food is delicious. Everything we got was perfection! Service was awesome too! 10/10

Ally T.

Yelp
Food and service was excellent. I was surprised that there weren't more people there as the prices were very reasonable and the vibe welcoming. Great for families-- we will be back! Only recommendation for management is to make it more clear that you are open!! It was our first time there and we didn't realize you were open until we opened the front door!

Yelp
Just went for a late lunch today It was my first time at that place The decor is really pretty and original But the parking is extremely small me: I think that is a problem! Their food is OK but the portions are rather small, especially for the price they are charging I had the grilled octopus with roasted cauliflower: it was good but not good enough for almost $40! They even charge $4 for the chips and salsa that my friends ordered. It was a good experience because I was with good friends but I will not return there‼

Yelp
I'm a real big fan of the food here. No complaints. The Latina waitress is the one who ruins the restaurant. She is very passive aggressive and rude. Her service is so horrible that for that reason I'm never coming back again. She drinks alcohol while on the clock. Her husband works there too and he is so nice. But you can't even speak with her husband without her getting extremely jealous and defensive. She overcharges you and probably pockets the money for herself. I know because I have caught it everytime and they fix the bill. I am a long time client (even had my parties catered by them) and she just gives you the evil eye every time you walk in. I wish they would fire her (look at the other reviews of her). She ruins the establishment. It looks like other people agree the same about her in the reviews.

Yelp
I used to come to this location when it was Cody's Viva Cantina. It was a great spot for live music 7 days a week. Celia's isn't currently a place for live music but the food is quite good and a good option for a weekday lunch when everything else is crowded. A sound check was going on for karaoke later in the week. I had the Cochinita Pibil, Yucatan style pulled pork with rice and beans. The rice and beans left much to be desired but the pork was excellent. I also liked the tortillas and chips which I assume had to have been home-made. I look forward to trying more dishes and am glad to have found a good restaurant that isn't overwhelmed during the lunch hour.

Yelp
I loved this place since before the new ownership and name change happened. Longtime resident of Burbank and the equestrian center and always loved that area. Normally, when I've gone to Celia's, I've loved the food. The price can be a bit high for some items, but I've always felt the flavor was worth the price. Service has also been hit or miss at times, but the last time I visited, was taken care of quickly and nicely. My issue is with their weekend brunch. I was excited to finally go and even checked their site to make sure they were still doing it. It's said open Saturday and Sunday for brunch, so it's on! Not a Burbank resident any longer so took the 20+ min drive down there only to be greeted by an empty patio and locked front doors. The brunch sign hung near the entry had the Saturday removed showing that they were only doing it on Sunday's, also the day I went, only to find them closed. It's not the first time I've gone there for an event only to find it's been cancelled for some reason. The ambiance is so beautiful and I'm sad to leave this bad review but I can't do it anymore. Hangry me doesn't want to have find another place once I've settled my stomach into wanting molé or a burrito.

Yelp
Just got back from a department lunch. We work down the street and it always seems to be a struggle for our group to find a good place nearby to eat. One of our staff recommended Celia's, a small restaurant that's under new management and recently remodeled. We were all so impressed! We had a quiet corner to ourselves and without asking we were each brought a small plate of fruit as an appetizer. Great way to start off our meal. We had appetizers and entree's and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the mild mole chicken, so good. We will definitely be returning to Celia's not only because of it's convenience, but great food and charming décor were a hit with my group.

Yelp
This is a great place I have been going here for yrs. With my kids. The service is so good friendly and fast menu has change lately price gone up but not bad The only thing is there a lady not sure what her roll is but I am guessing manager SO unprofessional she seats at the bar she eats and drinks there while on her computer she look so unhappy almost mean looks at the employees like a Eagle it feels so uncomfortable that makes as leave fast I can not imaging how they feel by been watch with the evil eye. Not sure why she does not do her business on an office.

Yelp
This is such a cute, unassuming restaurant off the beaten path in Burbank. It's right next to the equestrian center and across the street from Pickwick. Happened to be in the area and this was the closest eatery in walking distance. Celia's reminds me of Mexican restaurants I used to go to when I was a kid. I love the adobe feel and the tiled floors. Very nostalgic. Since seeing the Barbie movie, it also gave me major Mojo Dojo Casa House vibes -- horses everywhere! My husband and I weren't super hungry, so we just ordered some apps off the Happy Hour menu. Yes, they have Happy Hour on the weekends too! We got the shrimp ceviche and chicken taquitos. Both were delicious!!! I definitely preferred the taquitos though. So perfectly fried and they were bite sized with yummy sauces and guac. I love ceviche but this was not the best I've ever had. Something smelled like celery and it was throwing me off. Kinda weird. Maybe they used celery salt? I don't know, but not my fave. Taste overall was good, but you have to ask for hot sauce. Our server was nice. Very attentive and accommodating. It was pretty slow so we got our food pretty quickly. I also have to note that the bathroom was pretty gross. It smelled horrible and there were markings all over the stalls. And the floors were dirty. The restaurant itself is pretty nice, so it was kind of jarring when the bathroom looked like it belonged in a bar. I'll definitely be back to try some entrees and margaritas next time!

Alexandra K.

Yelp
We love Celia's and consistently enjoy excellent service and delicious food. The ambiance is so cool, charming and authentic. The menu is out of this world delicious and all the servers and bartenders are fabulous. Every meal is a ten plus! Thank you Celia's & crew for always taking such great care of us!
google avatar

Marcelino R.

Yelp
This was a very cute restaurant! Our server was polite and knowledgeable. She always kept our drinks full and checked up on us a good amount of time. I ordered the Birria plate and It was delicious! Tasted like I was back in Mexico. The handmade tortilla are a good touch. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, delicious food, beautiful and clean place. Cesar was great, very welcoming !!!!! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! The food is delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful! I ate here for the first time last week. I literally live a few blocks away, and kept passing it by for the longest time, until last Thursday. I was craving some shrimp ceviche and found out that they served it. Well, I had their Ceviche de Camerons two days in a row and then their shrimp fajitas the third day! Everything is delicious! I highly recommend this place! Please give a try!

Yelp
So great! Made a reservation after seeing the Warner Bros TCM Classic Tour. The restaurant is 5 minutes away. Authentic delicious Mexican food. We made a reservation and came early no problem. We were seated right away. Friendly staff and the have happy hour from 3-6 on Sundays, too!
google avatar

Jordan R.

Yelp
The waitress was rude AF. She asked if we would like to sit outside, in which we were okay with. I noticed the seats were dusty, we kindly asked to have them dusted before we could have a seat. She was very passive aggressive and was upset that I even asked to clean them. My mom noticed she was irritated, and offered to clean them herself (in which was no problem). She ignored my mom and didn't wipe the table/chairs good. We left without even trying the food. Never coming back again.

Carmela F.

Yelp
The prices for alcohol are insane! Fix it! We come 2-3 times a week from the hockey rink and you over charge! Your staff is amazing but the prices are insane! We will not come back because of management! Fix it!

Stacy S.

Yelp
I had heard a rumor that Celia's is out of business... NOT TRUE! had lunch there today and it was as good as ever! Can't wait to go back. We just love this restaurant! The decor is brilliant, the food is amazing and the hostess/server/bar tender/ bus person is very helpful and friendly. The service is slow, with just the one person handling so much, but it is well worth it! we had the hibiscus margaritas , delicious! the tortilla soup, awesome! the chili relleno with mole, fabulous! and shrimp enchiladas, wonderful! Eating here is truly a dining experience. I would like to give it 10 stars!
google avatar

Steph R.

Yelp
Brunch was delicious! Chef outside was the best! We will be back for sure! We got seated right away and you have the choice if seating inside or out. Great place
google avatar

Yelp
I went for their $13.99 taco Tuesday special and the tacos were delicious! The taco guy Edwin gave amazing service! This restaurant is a hidden gem!

Nayib C.

Yelp
The service was disappointing. Our waiter was very slow and seemed a bit off -- not rude, just awkward and inattentive. It took a long time to get our drinks and even longer for the check. The food was okay, but the strange and sluggish service really affected the overall experience. Wouldn't rush back.
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
I don't get all these bad reviews. First time there since it changed from Viva Cantina. Look I use love Viva and was so sad to see it go. I loved that place. But its gone forever and the people who want to bash Celia"s because they miss Viva need to wake up. The food was so much better then when it was Viva. They re-did the main room and the bar and it looks great! The other rooms still have the old western stuff keeping with the cowboy vibe I loved so much. The prices were not bad at all and the drinks were really good. The service was great and seemed like one woman doing all the work and she managed to be so kind and a great server. So all you Viva folks who are boycotting step up and go there otherwise we will lose this equestrian vibe forever and those ugly town homes will breed and take over. Thank you Celia's for a wonderful afternoon! I'll be back!
google avatar

Marion S.

Yelp
Is it still considered a hidden gem if it chooses to be buried in an obscure spot? Celia's Rancho Restaurante is kind of a hidden gem. It's a beautiful restaurant that resembles what a cowboy might have come across in a bygone era. The inside looks like a Mexican saloon...dark hardwood floors and classic looking wood tables. There's wonderful art on the taupe walls and it's lit well. On the outside it looks like an old Southwest, adobe house you'd come across on your horse travels. In fact, you just might see a horse since it's next to the equestrian center and people ride their horses through this neighborhood. Let me start by saying that the food is good...kinda really good. They have this delicious cactus salad and the tortillas are hand made. The menu is massive and features most of your favorite Mexican fare from tacos to rellenos. I got a la carte tacos to try everything I wanted. The fish taco is incredible...perfectly light batter on white, flaky fish fried to perfection, with a nice crema and cabbage/lettuce thing on top. When I think of Baja or Ensenada style fish tacos, this is what it should be. Tied for the best is their cochinita pibil. Traditionally stewed pork in a banana leaf, the smell of the orange tinged pork was so bright and inviting. It's obviously made with love and I loved every bite of that taco. To round out my experience I also got carne asada, shrimp, and al pastor. All were good as well. The tacos came with pico del gallo, but it had cucumber in it as well which gave everything that fresh taste you associate with cucumber. I had never seen that before and wasn't really a fan. It wasn't bad, just not what I'm used to. While the taste was not problematic, the price was. Each taco ranged from 4-7 bucks. I will say the quality was almost worth the price, but I can throw a stone in LA and hit several other Mexican restaurants with the same quality and way cheaper. On top of the price, the service wasn't the best. On the whole it was fine...our waiter was very nice and accommodating for our large group. For the most part our orders were correct (even though I got charged for the combo plate and didn't get rice and beans and was told that's not what I ordered), but things like guacamole took a while to come out and they were out of basic things to make basic cocktails. On a Friday night, you'd think they'd be stocked up on things like lime juice. I'd understand if the place was packed, but things were pretty tame as far as a Friday night goes. Then there's the issue of parking. There's a tiny lot and if you can get a spot, there's a chance you'll get trapped in there by someone else double parking. There's plenty of street parking, but you might have to walk a bit to get to your car. I really wanted to add this place to my blink and miss it list, but I think I will just miss it.

Juicy J.

Yelp
Please do yourself a favor and do not try this place out! I don't recommend wasting your time in a restaurant like this. Horrible customer service. Overall not the place to go have a nice dinner!!

Karine S.

Yelp
I love going to this Mexican restaurant, the employees are extremely nice and friendly.. the food is amazing and love their cocktails too .. I go there at least twice a week not only because of how good the food is also how nice Liz the manager is to us and she makes amazing spicy margaritas

Andrew D.

Yelp
Great food. Fun experience on mariachi nights. Definitely a great go to spot. Happy hour has great specials.
google avatar

Gordon A.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The ambiance is great! The service is not that good. The last time we were here, the waitress brought all of our dishes - 2 appetizers, 2 main plates at once. Then we got our drinks. It was a train wreck in terms of food service. Other times that we've been here have been great except the service is flawed.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Such great service, our server was so attentive and was also the one who made our drinks, which were absolutely delicious. The food was great and I love the interior of the restaurant, very cool vibe. I highly recommend!

Janell G.

Yelp
We had an amazing night they have live music Friday night we had a blast. We resent discover this place I recommend it. Food was great and the environment as well. We always go to the same restaurants in Burbank but now this is our new place to wind down and enjoy a great evening. Happy Birthday to our waiter Alex

Yelp
Brunch at Celia's is the new weekend thing and it's so good... I almost had to be rolled home! Make sure you get a great drink from Liz, she makes the best skinny Cadillacs. Run don't walk!

Yelp
Delicious food, good service, great mariachi. Also sightings. Great place to celebrate birthdays. Will definitely return.

Yelp
It was my second time to visit here. My first visit in November 2022 was great, but this second visit was disappointing. We went here as a family for mother's day. This first thing I noticed was the change in menu. The menu on their official website still reflects the old menu, which I believe was superior. Yes, the menu uploaded here on Yelp is the old but great one. I think they tried to diversify their offerings, expand their menu, and reduce the price, which unfortunately significantly compromised on quality. They no longer offer plantain chips with their guacamole, and the tortilla chips that came with it were so few. The Solomillo de Res also downgraded in quality. Yes, there were more veggies (and two shrimps) and mashed potato, but the steak was so bland and dry. The seafood plates also only offered tilapia and swai, instead of the sea bass and mahi-mahi. The service was alright. I think it was a bad touch that they served water in disposable plastic cups. Maybe so they can differentiate it against the fountain drinks? Well, it wasn't like that before. I hope they bring back the old menu, or most of it. I know they said before that they took pride in offering more authentic Oaxacan dishes, but they went against that now.

Yelp
Historic spot right outside the equestrian center in Burbank. We sat on the very casual and undecorated the patio that was lit by ceiling fans. The service was FANTASTIC!!! The people who work there are extraordinarily nice! The food is good though VERY expensive for what you get. The guacamole was tasteless. The fajitas were good but nothing exciting. Chile Relleno was good! The hibiscus margaritas were tasty. Again, the people who work there were fantastic!
google avatar

Scott D.

Yelp
Went in recently and ordered the tortilla soup. I wish I had made a meal of it. It was fantastic. Since I am within walking distance of the restaurant this is going to be my go to if I don't want to cook. Everything is fantastic but that soup was special.

Yelp
Everything was awesome yesterday I spent a late thanksgiving and I believe the person helping us was named Liz and she was amazing while dealing with everything else she has going one. Seemed to be able to handle it alone.

Yelp
This is authentic mexican! The food is so yummy. The tortillas are hand made. It's a little pricier , but you get what you pay for.

Yelp
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. People are hung up on the fact this restaurant is different than the one that was previously at this location or looking for basic El Torito/Don Cuco places. Theyre upset that your meal doesn't come with unlimited free chips. lol This restaurant is higher quality, more unique with slightly smaller portions and slightly pricier (but not much!) than most Mexican places in the area. You get what you pay for. Most items are a la carte. Handmade tortillas! Different fresh salsas come with different items intended for that dish so its a more unique tasting experience. Tacos are $5 -7 each. Rice and beans need to be added as a side. 2 taco plate with sides is $15-20. Guac was $14 and came with a small portion of chips, but our server did ask if we wanted more. We didn't but it was available. Dinner for 2 came out to $54 including the guac appetizer, no drinks. I find the quality and different options on the menu worthy of giving this place a try. If you want Don Cuco or Acapulco just go there and leave Celia's alone to those that want something different. Service on the night I came was fine. Con: small parking lot, but there was a spot when we arrived and had no issues.

Yelp
We came here for Taco Tuesday last night. I suggested it based on the delicious-looking Instagram pics. I'd never been to the previous restaurant, but from what my husband told me, the new interior looked like a completely different space. It was really lovely (aside from the awful overhead ceiling fan lighting on the covered patio), but I think booths would have made it cozier. First of all, we weren't offered chips and salsa, and commented that this was the basic expectation for any Mexican place. We ordered $14 guacamole and chips. The guac came in a small, flat, can-shaped mold along with the tiniest bowl of chips. It was pretty flavorless and tasted mostly like mashed avocado, and the chips weren't fresh and were likely from a bag. The menu was confusing and also laughably expensive. The only taquitos were octopus taquitos. A few of the items mentioned that they were "tacos," "quesadillas," AND "taquitos" in the same item description... what was it? Drinks were in different sections, sides didn't have prices, and lots of misspellings and weird formatting. The prices for everything were pretty ridiculous. Individual tacos (which was the special!) shouldn't cost $7, non-fresh chips and mole shouldn't cost $10, and everything else was priced similar an airport, theme park, or trendy high-end restaurant. The food was good, but not worth any of these prices. I was most disappointed by the drinks. The Pasion de Celia (passion fruit, lime juice, and tequila) tasted mostly like Kern's juice with a splash of lime. The glass was lined with sugar down the outside, when the drink was already too sweet. I tried again with a Cadillac margarita ($18 for well tequila) that tasted like a glass of lime juice that someone added a shot glass full of salt to. Just citrus and salt. I tried ordering an extra tequila shot to balance it out and make it taste better, but it didn't help.. I've had many Cadillacs in my life and they shouldn't taste this way. I think it was the first time I've left a drink that ended up costing $30+ on the table. The rest of the food was good and the restaurant space is really pretty. My favorite dish was the esquites. But we've never spent over $100 on a taco Tuesday when we didn't even order any entrees (just 4 tacos and 3 sides), and 3 drinks between us, for nothing special.

Yelp
It's an old school Mexican restaurant with an equestrian theme. The musicians were amazing. The hostess was great. The server was ok. The food was just ok. I ordered a side salad version of the nopales salad and I ordered the cochinita pibil as my entree. The presentation was good but the food just didn't do it for me. If I go back I'll try something else.
