"Nomad has a great logo (just saying). Ok that's the design review out of the way. A place to impress, they serve up a Middle Eastern-influenced set of deliciousness, in a sleek exposed brick, high ceiling, concrete floored warehouse at the hands of Head Chef Nathan Stasi (from Heston Blumenthal's Dinner in London). Owned by Rebecca Littlemore and Al Yazbek, the place has a focus on 'house made' with as much as possible of their menu produced on site. They have a huge array of pickled, fermented cured, and smoked ingredients that all end up on your plate. The entire menu is designed to share, so don't go solo and randomly rock up, even if the name might suggest it. Booze has a local focus – all Australian wines and local craft beers. The 65$ a head set menu is a good option if you want to sample all the things." - For the People

We’re visiting from New Zealand and decided to try Nomad after seeing it all over social media. Expectations were high given how much people rave about it. When we arrived, we were initially seated on the left side near the kitchen in a pretty awkward corner. It wasn’t the best spot, so we asked if there was anything available in the main dining area near the bar. Thankfully, another staff member was kind enough to accommodate us and move us, which we appreciated. We ordered the set Feast menu. Most of the dishes were just okay and nothing really stood out. The cucumber, radish, and pomegranate salad didn’t work for us and felt very average. Our main, the spatchcock, was well cooked, but it didn’t pair well with the cucumber radish salad, which made the dish feel a bit disjointed overall. Service was mixed. While the staff were friendly, they weren’t very attentive when it came to clearing and changing plates between courses, and we had to remind them multiple times. The highlight of the meal was the dessert, the olive oil sandwich ice cream cake, which was excellent and genuinely memorable. Overall, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype for us. The food was fine, but aside from the dessert, it’s not somewhere we’d rush back to.

Everything about this restaurant started off amazing, and it honestly could have been a 5-star experience… until the lamb main. Unfortunately, it was simply 'yuck' (really hate to use this word)— no better word for it — which is why I’m giving 2 stars. The meal started strong: the za’atar bread, hummus, and zucchini flowers were all so good and got smashed instantly. We also ordered two glasses of wine — the Nomad one was especially great. The chicken with toum and chillies was another standout; super moist and absolutely demolished it. The iceberg salad was delicious and really aesthetic too. Also want to mention that the waiter who served us was very friendly and kind, which made the experience even nicer. But the lamb… had two bites and immediately nope. It was very gamey, dry, and had a strange taste. I also didn’t enjoy the eggplant sauce or the greens it came with. Really wish I didn’t pay for it because it was expensive and felt like such a waste. Everything else was fantastic, but the lamb sadly brought the whole experience down.

Amazing food; lovely service. Great wine list. The Dry-Aged Pork and the Empenada were standouts. The Iceberg side was a touch disappointing in the company of the other incredible dishes but that’s just to my tastes. We ordered too much to fit in any dessert but I’ll be back purely to try the Comte & Apple tart

Came to Nomad for a work dinner in May 2024 (catching up on old reviews) and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had!! We started with a mini martini and goat cheese tart combo that they promoted as a bite while you decide on the menu for the night… very creative idea! We ordered a bunch of plates to share and everything was delicious but the most surprising was the kangaroo dish? As we were visiting Australia we had to order this off the menu but were not expecting it to be a raw dish like tartare. However, we were so pleasantly surprised with the taste! We shared 3 of the desserts and all of them were heavenly! Such a delicious dinner, great service, and some great people watching as well! This was a dinner I will remember for a very long time!

Such a fantastic experience! From the food to the service, everything was perfect!! Our server Liam? I’m not sure what his name was but he had amazing service. As soon as our waters were empty and before I even noticed it was empty, he filled it up swiftly. Also while remembering who wanted tap and who wanted sparkling. And this was also while maintaining the same service to several other customers. I was truely impressed with his level of professionalism and attention towards customers. Other than that the food was absolutely amazing, extremely tender meat that’s well seasoned and cooked to perfection! Also the warehouse vibe of the restaurant is super vibey while still feeling fancy. Truely impressed with the high quality of everything! 10/10!

Nomad is a fantastic spot with a great vibe and delicious food. We shared the Mezze lunch platter which was an excellent blend of flavours and textures. It’s mostly vegetarian but has two chicken skewers, but all freshly made, beautifully presented and the perfect mix of dishes. Good value as you get to try so many of the dishes. Staff were super friendly and there was a happy hum in the restaurant. Sitting at the kitchen bar was fun for us to see the great systems and just how fresh everything was.

Nomad was absolutely incredible!!!! genuinely a 10/10. The food was unbelievable, the service was flawless, and the space itself is just stunning. I honestly couldn’t imagine a better dining experience. The lamb main and the chilli wagyu tongue were real standouts (seriously… omg). If you haven’t been, you must go!

Attentive from start to finish. Atmospheric with an active view of the open kitchen & bar. The presentation of the food was well thought through with vibrant colours and small details that we appreciated. One chutneyish condiment next to the pork was not really to our taste but each to their own. The starters (zuchinni flower and waygu tongue) wowed us and we were excited for what was to come... The green beans were my favourite side. The batata was enjoyable with a deliciuos salsa verde, the texture was comfortably crunchy; but could it be achieved with less oil? The pork cutlet was huge, the tiny apples were a joy, the crackling however was chewy. We were full, we had a good time, but next time we are going to stick to more of the mini show stoppers as they were a delight. -good with dietary issues
