This place is amazing. The service is terrific and their food is truly second to none. The outward appearance of the place will fool you. Go on in and you will be amazed.

I'm from the deep south part of Texas (Mission, Tx) and I took my 13 year old daughter to a concert in Dallas. The day after the concert we were looking for a good restaurant to eat at before heading home. We came across this establishment on Google and we decided to try it out. HUGE MISTAKE! To start, as we pulled up I noticed that the building looked like an abandoned place. We still decided to give it a try. The food was terrible! It was cold, tasteless and very stingy portions. STAY AWAY!!

I've been eating here every since I was little and everything still tastes as good as always. My favorite are the enchiladas verdes! The staff and owner are very friendly. The parking lot is small so on busy days you might have to park near the back of the restaurant.

We stopped by for breakfast and we're very disappointed. Our breakfast came and we waited an additional 5 minutes because our daughters food chicken nuggets weren't ready. We waited and had to go ask and still waited because it wasn't ready. When we were told when they brought our plates it's on the way right now. We had to keep asking for coffee and my daughter had to also go and ask for a refill because the waitress never asked if we needed refills. I'm all for waiting but when we are the only people in the restaurant it's uncalled for. There was another couple here but they were waited on hand and foot they also got refills without asking. This is not how new customers should be treated. I understand you get regular but when you treat new customers like this they won't be back. Food wasn't good it also tasted as if they are using a dirty grill and old oil. Food wasn't hot neither and sausage tasted like it had freezer burn.

So the atmosphere is good. The waiters/waitress were very friendly. Food is super affordable and more than plenty. I ordered the carne asada. It comes with rice, refried beans, Pico and guacamole. All was good, except the beans. It has zero taste. My friend had to add extra salt to it. Hense the 3-star reviews. I will return, because I think everyone deserves a second chance.😃

Wow the food was amazing! The food was hot and well seasoned. The staff was especially nice and helpful. Chips and salsa is delicious. The pork tamales are delish. The fajitas are also delicious.

there's no downside to this place, unless you're a fancy person and require nicer interior. But for hungry people, this is the place. been going here for years. food is good. can't beat the prices, either.

First time for us at Los Jarros. We decided to have dinner here on a Friday night bout 7pm. There were a few tables of people enjoying their dinner. It is a smaller place and very comfortable. We were greeted with smiles and told to have a seat anywhere. The server brought us chips and salsa and took our drink order. She was so friendly. We ordered the fried whole catfish. It was delicious. It was fried perfectly, not greasy. The fries and refried beans were tasty. Dinner was very good and we enjoyed ourselves.

Another one of those wonderful family on small businesses fajita Friday is wonderful. They make their nachos old school like nacho should be and the enchiladas are nice. It's a great place to go get my shot.

Good service and good prices. Foods pretty good also. Recommend for a cheap eats food. Alot of Mexicans their so you know it's good food and value.

My friend Kristen took me here for a late birthday lunch!! We were pleasantly surprised!! This is an older building and the ambiance is casual and laid back with plenty of seating! They have delicious food with old school prices! Lunch plates are 7.99!!$ That's amazing in today's economy.. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! I'll definitely be back especially for the prices alone lol

I ordered Steak and eggs , Medium. Steak came out well done. it was very tough and did not eat it. $23 for 2 eggs beans and potatos. I will not come back. Honestly , I really wish there was a manager that would have made this right.

To be honest. I know times are getting tuff but to to be charged a service fee for something that I called in to pick up it's kind of going over board it's not like I can go and prepare the food myself and keep the surface fee. They have to sell it they need a cashier person to punch the buttons and they need to cooked to heat it up or cook my food, so why charge me a service fee for something that I'm picking up and taking with? And for my call in order I called it in over two hours ago, and arrived to pick it up, and they still made me wait and they were not busy

To all those complaining about the service fee you would pay that almost anywhere. It actually makes more sense here since they are a smaller place and it's harder for them to accommodate large groups. I'll get off my soap box and say this place is amazing. Almost feels like I walked into someone's home to get a good meal with friends. I'll rave on the refried beans best I've had anywhere around! We need more places like this. Support local places that go above and beyond to provide amazing service and amazing food.

This place absolutely blew me out of water. Wasn't expecting the deliciousness. I work near here and got to go. I got the steak quesadilla and it was fantastic! The meat is so well done! I liked the sides and it's the perfect lunch. I one time got the shrimp ceviche and it was fresh and good as well! This place is a hidden gem in Arlington.

I visited this restaurant recently for their tamales. I've visited several times for the tamales. They advertise Chicken and Pork but sometimes they only have one, so I decided to call ahead of time to see what they had today. I called this restaurant at least 9 times, the phone rang, there was never an answer. I drove to the restaurant, walked to the counter and asked if they had both, the employee said they only had pork. I ordered the pork tamales. While waiting for my order, I noticed that it wasn't too busy inside so I wondered why they didn't answer my call. I called again, while standing there and waiting for my order. I watched an employee see the phone ring, turn off the ringer and set the cordless phone aside. She then went back to playing in her coworkers hair. I called again, and the phone ringer was on silent so no one even acknowledged it. After waiting 25 minutes I received my order. I asked for red sauce and was told, the tamales don't come with red sauce. I have been coming here for YEARS and have always been given red sauce for the tamales. As a customer, I did not feel welcomed in this establishment, it felt as if they did not want me there. I will not return. The customer service has always been lackluster, but today was a new low. Poor customer service is an easy way to lose business. Good luck to anyone who chooses to patronize this establishment. I would give this review 0 stars if I could.

Beware go all customers when dining at Los Jarros on Randol Mill. This restaurant charged me for 6 meals at my table and thus charged me automatically a $15.00 tip/gratuity fee. I had signed the receipt and added an additional $10 tip. I asked for my full copy of the receipt for number of meals , drinks, appetizers. I finally say the $15 tip added. I only had 5 persons in my dinner party and requested a refund of the over charged of $15 tip. The waitress gave me the cash back. *** Make sure you look at the full itemized bill before paying*** I have been a customer for over 15 years.

If you want the breakfast, that's on the glass window cost $4.99 you had to ask the waiter because it's not in the menu

Being from El Paso, TX. / Cuidad Juarez border, I am used to good Mexican food. It is very hard to find here in the DFW area since the majority is Tex-Mex. We tried Los Jarros for the first time about 3 months ago and now it seems it is our go-to AT LEAST once a week. Great Staff, Great Food and Great Prices. We are going for breakfast for the first time on 11/24 - Lets see if they pass the Huevos Rancheros Test - or maybe the Migas??!! LOL

We had an excellent experience! The lady working was such a hard worker, cleaning and taking care of us really well. The food hit the spot! We wanted carne guisado and we left very happy. I liked the rice. I can't say that for a lot of places, so kuddos to the cook!

Their food is amazing, I am slightly obsessed with Mexican rice, and they have the best hands down. Their green enchiladas are also very good. Both have a great flavor and we can never finish all our food in one setting.

I've been going here to eat since I was in junior high now I am 30 and I've always loved their food. My favorite dish is their chicken flautas. It's a huge serving and it always hits the spot. During lunchtime they also give you a little bit of frijoles charros and chips and salsa before your meal. And the service is great the ladies working are always kind and attentive.

Good Tex Mex. Excellent lunch combos/specials. For special order treat and big appetite order the Parillada for 2. Comes sizzling on big skillet and is a lot of food. The shrimp mushroom enchiladas are awesome and I don't like mushrooms!

This place really grows on you. It's enjoyable from the first visit, but the more you return the more you love and miss it! Their salsas are so sooooo good, I get extra just to keep in the fridge at home. They have serious depth if flavor, and the verde has serious heat. Omg, it burns so much in the best way! Their chips aren't the greatest, but the salsa makes up for it. My next favorite thing is a toss up between their tamales and their refried beans. They're always consistently the BEST. The beans are super well seasoned and so hot and the perfect consistency. The tamales are moist and velvety and flavorful (try the pork). Hole in the wall, family owned, vibrant little restaurant that's casual and comfortable. Spanish soap operas playing on the TVs. Authentic Mexican candies for sale at the counter. It's colorful comfort food thats totally affordable.

Great food and friendly service. Several customers seemed to enjoy their meals. It was just a bit past lunchtime but the place was full.

The food was delicious and the staff was super pleasant. When I walked, we were greeted. We ordered tamales (pork) and fajita's. Both were amazing and seasoned great. The service and food is amazing!

Went for the menudo because of the pics. I like that they asked if I wanted hominy in it and the portion was good, but it simply didn't have any flavor. I put the regular condiments, onions and oregano and salt, but it wasn't enough. Our breakfast burrito order was incorrect, but once fixed they were OK. I don't see another visit in the cards.

Update - I come here a LOT. It's inexpensive and delicious. If you're a south Texas expat and want what you ate back home, I've been rolling here for about a decade and keep coming back. The chips and salsa are superb. I've ordered extra to go before. If you come late enough, you'll get a cup of free charro beans with your order. Today I felt inspired by the holiday spirit and ordered tamales with a beef tostada, with refried beans and rice. It was fantastic and the portions are enough for a whole meal later. I can't think of anything bad here. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the west part of town. A good comparison is Casa Navarro in north Dallas.

Got breakfast tacos this morning and they're so delicious! Super great price too. Happy to have found this spot! We will definitely be going back to try more.

My first time here so I'm my opinion I would give this dish a six, I guess I expected more flavor. The meat was super tender, the rice was good, the beans lacked flavor and the corn/flour tortillas were just a no for me. The service was okay nothing great and the place was semi clean.

The food is authentic and the wait staff works hard. the ambience is modest. Nicely priced food and specials are excellent

Lately I've been using a platform called Dining Advantage. I was offered a $20 gift card through T-Mobile Tuesdays. (you should definitely check out downloading the T-Mobile app and see what offers are available to you, if you're a subscriber. Normally they give you money off, gift cards or free annual subscriptions to whatever they choose.) Dining Advantage gives you the opportunity to buy coupons for most restaurants here in the community. Prices range from $1-$10, I believe, and gets you decent perks. From there you can take in the coupon or percentage off to the restaurant that you chose and they will redeem the coupon. The coupons that I have bought have been BOGO and I haven't had too many problems using them but for the most part I have mixed feelings. We'll see how that develops as time goes by. Los Jarros had a pretty decent crowd. The menu seemed pretty simple with an optional mariscos menu to accompany. The cheese enchiladas and carne guisada were ordered at my table. While the food was fresh and tasty, definitely not the best... and hardly authentic. The cheese in my enchiladas was still shredded and lacked the melted element. The queso they poured as the enchilada sauce was pretty much the can queso from grocery stores (you know it... red and yellow package wrapping?!) Rice and beans were great but I'd have to question you if you messed those up. Carne Guisada was pretty good. The beef tips were pretty tender and the sauce was seasoned very well (leftovers were even better the next day). Serve those on a tortilla and you'll be happy. They did have loaded fries with fish... sounds and looked pretty interesting

Not Bad AT ALL Especially considering the price!!! My Waiter Mayra was kind, hardworking and patient. If you're looking for affordable, comfortable, cleanliness,and good food. Try it out.

Service - 2 Stars Food - 4 Stars Nachos a Pastor - 5 Stars What, I've been to this place 3 times in 1 week?!! No, I don't own the place, know anyone who works there, or am I getting any consideration for my obviously feeble attempts to spread the Tex-Mex quasi-religious fervor I have for this tiny restaurant. So, even though I'd had little interaction about this place, except for Lisa P., who still hasn't eaten here, I will have to add the next good candidate to your potential eating pleasure. That would be Nachos A Pastor. Pork laid onto chips with refried beans, cheese, and small scoops of guacomole and sour cream. Simple in concept, but satisfying in consumption. I don't know where my great bean soup went, though. Do they not serve it on weekends? I had brought my future someday-soon son-in-law and my someday soon-to-be-married daughter to show off my Tex-Mex discovery. They're from Austin, which claims to have a few good restaurants of their own, so I was anxious to get their input. Unless they were just being polite, the food passed their good eat test with flying colors. (if your English, you'd spell that word "colours", weird, huh?) There were still some things which are keeping it from that 5 Star status. On this visit it was the much too-thin queso and the pre-occupied, and very young waitress. Nice enough, but a little training would improve her skills, considerably. I promise I'll go somewhere else for awhile to give the rest of you guys a chance to try it for yourselves. Please do.

The food was good but I was charged $10 for a VERY small scoop of sour cream and cheese!!!! I thought it was a mistake so I talked to the woman at the drive thru. She said that's how it is...food was good but watch out there's no cheese on tacos and if you have to add......be prepared.

I realize I was a little generous with my previous 5 star review (because I was relaxed about the service). But I don't know if they recognized me or what but the service was wayy.. better then other times that I've been here. The waitress was attentive, and a manager (or owner) came by and asked us if we were enjoying our meal. But even with lax service, I still recommend this place.

This place was about 3/4 full when we came at lunch the other day. Literally every empty table was dirty though and they didn't really tell you to just take a seat so I wandered aimlessly for a bit looking for the least dirty one to sit at. Kind of a shaky start there. Anyway, we ordered lunch specials which are very reasonably priced. ($5-6 bucks). And they came with a good sized serving of food. My other half thought his carne guisada was pretty decent. The chips were decent. Most of my entree was pretty lackluster though. The tamales weren't good at all. The cheese enchilada wasn't bad, but really it's hard to screw up a cheese enchilada. I did not like the beef fajita taco, the meat was very bland. The rice and beans were ok, I've had worse. Really this place fell right into the beanbag I like to call "commuter restaurants". By that I mean, if you work nearby and you don't want to spend a lot of money on your lunch but are sick of McDonalds, this is not a bad option. They give you a good amount of food for your money and there are at least a few decent options on the menu. But, nothing I had was worth driving out of my way for. In the Arlington area, I think Daddy Buelo's is superior and so I can't see myself coming back here even though it really was "A-OK".

This place sucks avoid at all cost we waited 10 minutes to be seated once we sat down we asked for a chicken sample to see if it was good and they refuse to provide it and then once we were eating they came and took food away from us and we were not even done and to top it off we mentioned it to the lady at the register and she said if you treat them bad they're going to treat you bad to which that was not the case we were not disrespectful so therefore I wouldn't recommend this place food was not all that great service sucks please don't go there avoid at all cost

This place continues to be my go to Mexican Food restaurant in Arlington. They have really improved the times there is too much salt in their food. My favorite chili relleno in the DFW area.

Last time I was here the food was fantastic so I thought I'd try it again. Believe me I wasn't disappointed. They were already out of chicken tamales so I opted for the pork ones. They were not my first choice but man were they delicious. Now they might become my first choice! This place is awesome! I like the atmosphere and the attentive staff. The pricing is great. Definitely come check this place out!

Based strictly on food, this place is 4 stars. Unfortunately the service is absolutely terrible. It's rare to be greeted when you come in, but common to see the waitresses talking rather than working. This morning, there was 5 waitresses huddled around the register while at least 10 people were waiting to be greeted. When we finally got someone's attention, and got a seat, we sat 10 minutes before a waitresses stopped by. When the waitresses finally stopped by, we were told it would be a minimum of 45 minutes before we would get our food, but probably longer. The level of disregard and lack of concern for the customer is shocking. They truly could not care less about your business and act as though they are doing you a favor by serving you. It's quite a shame because as I said, the food is very good. However, there are far to many other good Mexican places in Arlington as alternatives for you to deal with the service here.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! I do not recommend to anyone! Take your money elsewhere! I decided to give this place a try. Got there at 11:40. Took 20 minutes to sit me down & there were plenty of open tables & only 1 couple in front of me. Sat down about 12.... come 12:40 no food! Couple that was in front of me already ate and paid. People coming in would get their food. I'm still sitting there. Waitress kept reassuring me my food was coming... NOTHING & they still made me pay for my drink after being there for over an hour and missing my lunch break!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

We walked in and the sign said "wait to seat yourself " so we waited and one of the waitresses told us to seat ourselves. No greeting just "sit where you want". I ordered the tortilla soup and The waitress brought my bowl on top of a plate which half of my soup was on the plate. As far as the soup,it was totally bland so I asked for cilantro (got charged for it). The soup was bland and there was hardly any chicken in it. My husband ordered Carne Guisada which was also very bland and generic it seem like they used the gravy that comes in a bag. Service was terrible.

Affordable, friendly and fast. I really like this place, but get there early - it gets very crowded, very quickly. The service is fast and efficient and the food is very good.

I needed an authentic Mexican restaurant to stifle my nostalgia for San Antonio and Los Jarros hit the spot. It's not showy and you will more than likely pass it on your first try but you must stop. First the prices are reasonable. And not only reasonable but their specials are steals! Today's was 3 al pastor tacos with pico, rice, and beans for $4.99. Now that's a deal! The entire restaurant is basic with clear plastic table clothes and no fancy decorations. The beer is standard Budweiser, coors, miller, modelo and no craft beer. They do have Topo Chico there which reminded me even more of San Antonio. I got the grilled chicken with vegetables, rice and beans. Believe me not the most puro San Antonio but it sounded so good. The vegetables were mushrooms, peppers, and onions. They were perfectly grilled and added a great taste to the chicken. The beans and rice were just what I needed to round out the dinner. I can't wait to go back for tacos!

Wonderful little place, with delicious salsa to start. Wonderful prices for lunch and dinner. The portion sizes are huge. As well as the barracho beans served before your food.

My husband and I dine in here so often that the staff recognizes us when we walk in. The ladies who work there are so friendly, always smiling and wait on you on hand and foot. It is a quaint little restaurant but we always leave with a good experience. The food and the prices are great!

Hole in the wall and delicious! Tamales delicious. Menudo is to die for. Not even kidding. Barbacoa is on point! Do not miss out on the menudo.
