15 Best Airbnbs in Berlin, From a Houseboat to a Five-Bedroom Penthouse | Condé Nast Traveler
"Bright and airy with classic movie posters, a projector, and a DVD player for all-night screenings, this cozy one-bedroom layers in homey touches like vintage chairs, Missoni pillows, and art-forward coffee table books. Couples and solo travelers can wander the surrounding cafés, restaurants, and shops, then return to a double bed and room-darkening shades; it’s steps from Kollwitzplatz’s bi-weekly market and close to Volkspark Friedrichshain—just note it’s up three flights of stairs with no elevator, though a washer and dryer help offset the climb." - Liz Humphreys, Nathalie Meier-Scupin
Bourdain had: currywurst and fries, doner kebab, sparkling wine, and red wine.
Dinner date: Billy Wagner, sommelier and co-owner of Nobelhart & Schmutzig.
CNN Pays Tribute to Anthony Bourdain by Airing Last Three Episodes of 'Parts Unknown' | Condé Nast Traveler
"Then there was the meal at Lichtblick-Kino, a tiny movie theater screening 1927's Metropolis while Bourdain and sommelier Billy Wagner snacked on a meal they snuck in: currywurst (wurst topped with curry powder and ketchup), fries, and a hefty kebab sandwich, paired with sparkling and red wine (naturally). It not only looked delicious but also felt the most authentic to Bourdain, who was just as happy eating noodles and drinking cold beer in Hanoi as he was eating freshly caught scallops and chanterelle ice cream in Newfoundland."
Soo many kinos in Berlin. This one is tiny but located in a nice place of Berlin. Plenty of pre or post Kino places to go out! Excellent programming. But make sure to reserve as seating is very, very limited. Berlinized is shown frequently and a must see for anyone interested in Berlin recent history.

Wonderful little cinema, it is small, and hidden behind what could have been a butcher shop long time ago, (beautiful tiles). When I say small, it is almost a pocket sized cinéma, (20seats?) Which gives a special & intimate experience. Don t expect to watch the next blockbuster, only curated movie there. If you are in Berlin, you have to go there...so rare!!!

Very nice and cute small independent/arthouse kino. There are only 32 seats in the cinema and you can often find screenings with directors and of older classical films. It is also possible to find screenings and small festivals on the more alternative side here.
