"Even before its designation as 2010's best bakery by restaurant guide Gault & Millau , La Gambette à Pain drewlong lines to buyits bread. The boulangerie bakes some of the best loaves in the city, working withcarefully selected organic flours. You won’t find fancy Parisian pastries here—the focus stays on breads. There are some sweets, however: tempting viennoiseries (goodies made with yeast dough) like an orange flower blossom brioche and seasonal fruit tarts."

Not my favorite bakery but there is always a line for lunchtime because they have some great sandwiches. Also their little bread rolls that they heat up for you with lardons or cheese inside. They don't have baguettes it's called a gambette. And unless you get it hot and fresh out of the oven I don't think it compares with a baguette. Their sweets are good especially their chouquettes. The have lots of different escargots too that are good for breakfast.

Living in the area since 2009 I can testify this bakery really went bad with time. The bread was good but now the "gambette" is just ordinary baguette but 30 % more expensive than anywhere else. They don't care about their clients. Closing at Christmas time, during all bank holidays and really not caring about anyone but themselves. But when January comes, they would open all the week-ends to sell their awful greasy overly expensive "galette des rois". I bet they earn much more money with this dietetic bombs than with bread. Money, money, money... Service is just so slow and awfully antipathic. Well you can do much better guys.

Best Bakery in the neighbourhood and one of the best in Paris in my opinion. Try out the escargot à la praline de Lyon. They are perfect.

Yelp
Welcome to the summum of deliciousness, this is probably the best boulangerie in Paris. Bread and pastries are fantastic, and on selected days there are special breads (including some experimental ones, for example with matcha and azukis, or with apples and cider, or even with white chocolate and black charcoal!). I tried: baguette, a sandwich, pain préféré, brioche mounia, the escargots, the flan, the croissant, the pain au chocolat, a fondant au chocolat. Their bread has no rivals in Paris, in my opinion. Special mention to the pain au chocolat, which is crumbly (a very good sign) and tastes like it has a whole chocolate stick. I have yet to try something I didn't like there. On the downside, it's far in the 20th (the closest metro line is the pointless 3bis) and closed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Each time it's a journey to get there. But a rewarding one.

Yelp
There you'll find one of the best baguette in all of Paris. And "chouquettes" to die for, but you have to get there early: they sell like hot cakes, so to speak.

Yelp
The best boulangerie around. Check their bread, their desserts and their hot lunch cakes. I would eat here every day if I could.
