Honestly I hadn't been inside this building since it was China Sun. I thought it would be similar. It showed Asian cuisine on Google maps, but it's basically a bar, with mediocre "Asian food" that's really just a terrible attempt. The "chicken" is supposed to be teriyaki, but it's bland and not that flavorful. It's also dry and overcooked. The rice is also a tad over cooked. My son's wings were supposed to be honey bbq but the flavor was weird. More like a 5 spice seasoning with cinnamon and cardamom. The price for the drinks were a little crazy outrageous. They were $4 a can. The total for three cans, the chicken and rice, and 8 wings were $36 Plus tip. I remember China Sun being super affordable with a lot of food. The waitress mentioned that this would be a lot of food but honestly it's not. The only reason it was able to feed two people was because my child does not like eating much so he barely ate anything. This is not enough food for two normal average people. Overall this is just a oddly placed sit-down restaurant with bar food and definitely NOT true Asian cuisine.

From the very first bite, this meal was an experience. The spicy lemon pepper tempura crawfish rice was nothing short of addictive. The crawfish was perfectly crisp in a light tempura batter, giving that satisfying crunch before melting into tender, seasoned goodness. The lemon pepper brought a bright, zesty punch, while the spice level built just enough heat to keep every bite exciting without overpowering the dish. Paired with the rice, it was comforting, bold, and balanced all at once. The mango habanero wings were the perfect companion. They delivered that irresistible sweet-heat combo—juicy wings coated in a sticky mango glaze that hits you with fruity sweetness first, then follows up with a slow, fiery habanero kick. The heat lingered in the best way, making it impossible to stop at just one. Overall, this combo was elite. Bold flavors, perfect textures, and just the right amount of heat. If you love food that makes you pause, smile, and immediately plan your next bite—this is it. 🌶️🍋🍗

Google
A friends recommendation, and I gotta say, it should be renamed to WING WOW! Joe Style (Spicy Lemon Pepper) with a chili that has no peanuts was the best! Not too spicy and the lemon combines together nicely. 100% recommend. The salt and pepper is good, but nothing amazing to repeat yet. the Korean one which was a wet type sauce was the weakest, still fine but would not get again. Wings were balanced and not too greasy. Fried rice was too Kikkoman tasting and wet. would sub for fries next time.

Google
Edited: Not sure they are serving real chicken. Came back 2 more times and each time, the chicken looks different. First time eating dinner here. Greeted by Sean as soon as we walked in. Big restaurant with lots of TV’s. Sweet waitress (didn’t get her name) was very attentive and polite. We don’t think the fried rice had egg in it, think you have to “add on” this. The only negative was how loudly the music was playing. It was a constant techno type. Felt like we were in a bar. 💃🏻🕺🏻

Google
Wing Chow is an absolute gem! The food was amazing — the wings were packed with flavor and covered in what tasted like a delicious homemade sauce. The fried rice was loaded with shrimp, chicken, and steak, and the crinkle fries were perfectly crispy. What really made the experience stand out was the service. The owner is super down-to-earth and came by multiple times to check on us, along with the friendly waitstaff who made sure we had everything we needed. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience. Great vibes, great food, and even better people. Highly recommend Wing Chow — we’ll definitely be back!

Google
The wings were so good! And the ranch was on point! You can tell they must make their own ranch! These are the best wings I’ve had in a while, they remind me of American Deli wings in Atlanta. The only thing I didn’t like was that my fries were too hard and overcooked. Other than that I highly recommend if you’re looking for some good wings.

Google
Stumbled across this place and I’m so glad I did. The food was amazing. The wings were so juicy and flavorful. I also had the steak fried rice which was sooo good. Service was great as well! Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food and a quick bite to eat.

Google
Saw the place while driving by and checked reviews, and so made our first visit. Wings were very good; best in the McKinney area by far. Spouse had pork sandwich that was quite large and provided two full meals for her. Reasonable cost for the food quality as well. We will be returning.

Yelp
Found this place looking for some hot and sour soup. Quite a find. They have an unusual mix on their menu. I got the hot and sour soup and a gyros sandwich. It was the best of both I've ever had. The best. Very attentive service, visit by the owner, and delight. It is the only gyros that was full of different textures, flavors, and full of sauce, but artfully wrapped so I wasn't wearing it when I left. They've got a new, regular customer. These were so well prepared I look forward to trying more of their menu.

Yelp
Awesome little spot that has great food. Very friendly customer service also. Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Hear me out!!! These wings are the best in McKinney, no doubt. The combo of wings and fried rice is just phenomenal. The portions are large, and will fill you up. And they had my favorite Korean soju drinks? What? A MUST TRY: The Joe Flavored wing (holy cow, if you don't like wings this will make you a wing lover.) Tip: try to drizzle your hot sauce (buffalo) on a dry rub (lemon pepper) for a fun new wing twist. The staff is beyond wonderful. 5/5 for the entire staff. Nothing negative to say. We will be back and enjoy this food again. Thank you for offering something different and really caring about your restaurant. We loved it.

Yelp
So glad I tried this place out. I knew right away when I smelled the food through its bag on the way home that I was in for a treat. Service was good. Great menu options. I tried: Spicy lemon pepper fried rice - top notch!! Flavor city! Definitely spicy since it has sautéed jalapeños. Dumplings- chewy and tasty. Coconut shrimp - crunchy sweet coconut outside and plump juicy shrimp inside. I loved the dipping sauce. Springroll - nicely filled and tasty. Looking forward to going back soon.

Yelp
We discovered Wing Chow thanks to TikTok and decided to stop by while in the McKinney area for an event. We were looking for a spot with dine-in, and this place delivered! The dining area is clean, spacious, and filled with TV screens, making it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was quick and friendly--our waitress was kind and attentive, and our food came out hot and fresh in no time. It smelled so good, we started eating before I even remembered to take photos! My husband is a big crawfish fan, so he ordered the Spicy Lemon Pepper Tempura Crawfish Fried Rice--and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious, not too spicy and clearly a customer favorite. The portion size was generous enough to share between two (or more!). We both had the 6 wings combo, which came with a choice of fries or fried rice. I went with the regular fried rice, and it was perfect--flavorful, authentic, and just the way I like it. It's hard to find fried rice that tastes this good! The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and both wing flavors we tried were on point--no complaints at all. We're already planning to make the 40-minute drive again. Totally worth it!

Yelp
Simply just wow Shawn the owner greeted me at the door. Everybody on the counter was pleasant and nice. The service was impeccable. The food was way better than most surrounding areas, including the panda express across the street. The ambience is that of what you would expect at a nice bar and Grill. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Delicious egg rolls and fast delivery! Don't miss the signature sticky pork fried rice! You will get 2-4 meals out of the large portion. Love the coconut shrimp also, though it is a bit pricey.
google avatar

Carlotta L.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! Got the honey garlic wings and the combo fried rice w shrimp, steak and chicken. I highly recommend! Definitely will return to try the Philly cheesesteak and lemon pepper wings!

Yelp
Love the wings! Fried rice or fries both hit the spot. Staff is nice and friendly. If you like wings I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for Wing Chow after all the positive reviews and TikTok's I saw but I have to say I was pretty disappointed I did an online to-go order. The process was quick and easy. And when I went in to pick up, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was pretty empty for a Saturday but I didn't think much of it. Definitely seemed like a great place to eat in and grab drinks and watch a game or two. That's why I hate to have to leave a bad review because all signs pointed to the food being fire But there were just no excuses to be made for the food. We ordered two different kinds of wings (buffalo hot and sticky Asian). The flavor on the buffalo was actually pretty good. The sticky Asian barely had any. But they both had a weird texture. It was almost as if they fried them but then when they put the sauce on, it caused the batter to get soggy and fall off. It was pretty unpleasant Probably the worst thing I ordered was the chicken tenders. It was unlike most chicken tenders and had quite a bit of batter on it. It's more like what you would get from Chinese restaurants when you order sweet and sour chicken. I actually didn't mind the way it was prepared if they weren't old, dried, and unseasoned. There was zero flavor to them. And they were incredibly dry. Didn't seem like they were overcooked, they just seemed old. But even if they were fresh, the flavor was nonexistent We also had the spicy lemon pepper fried crawfish rice and the crab fried rice. They were okay at best. The crawfish tasted like they fried it in old grease and that sort of ruined that one for me. And the crab fried rice was okay. Not much crab to be found though it does say "blue crab" fried rice vs a lump crab fried rice so I get it. It had a slight crab taste but nothing mind blowing flavor wise. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or maybe takeout isn't the way to go. Idk. But I spent $85 and I don't know if I'd be willing to take the chance to try them again.

Yelp
Excellent wings, fresh l, hot and quick. Good fried rice and cold beer. Good service. Dinning room and restrooms were clean. We will be back

Yelp
Great food & Lilly gave us great service! So friendly & nice. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Wing Chow in McKinney is a hidden gem. The wings are phenomenal--crispy, fresh, and loaded with flavor. The lo mein is easily the best I've had anywhere, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Unlike the chain across the street, Wing Chow delivers real quality with every dish. On top of that, the draft beer is poured ice-cold into a chilled glass, which really elevates the dining experience. If you're in McKinney, do yourself a favor and skip Panda--go straight to Wing Chow. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
The sticky pork and fried rice was an experience. The flavors in the sticky pork were like an explosion of spicy and savory. Fried rice was cooked perfectly as well. And even though gumbo didn't make sense with my meal I had to give it a try. It did not disappoint as well. Seasoning was spot on, shrimp wasn't overcooked, and the okra was still crisp with no hint of being slimy. Service was delivery so can't give an evaluation yet. And the same goes for ambiance with it being delivery. Lastly, I don't won't to post this because I want this to be a personal spot just for me. If you're in McKinney run to this place immediately.
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
I love their hot buffalo wings, some of the best sauce I've had. I wish you could get 2 sauce flavors with an order of 8 wings but you have to spend another $2 for 10 wings to get 2 sauces. it's worth it, I guess... I've also had their fried rice, pretty good...sometimes I get wings and fries, sometimes wings and fried rice, you get an option if you order the wing combo.

Yelp
My rating may be a 4 star but I believe this is going to be a regular spot for us to get dinner with my family. The menu is all over the place and everything is absolutely a 4/5. We tried quite the assortment of things and nothing missed the mark. While nothing wowed us, that's okay too. There's always a place for reliable good food. This is the kind of place you'd want to go to if people want different things for dinner and can't agree on one cuisine! They have a bunch of options for fried rice, and will allow you to customize the veggies involved (bean sprouts, green onions, peas and carrots). The servings are HUGE. The only fault I had on the rice is that they didn't offer a kids size, so we took a ton home. 4/5 on the fried rice. The chicken was better than the standard boiled chicken most places use. The wings are Wingstop adjacent. 4/5. We tried the lemon pepper garlic flavor and the only fault was that the ones that sit in the sauce, won't be as crispy, so I might ask for well done next time. The ranch is good (although not as good as WS ranch, but good enough that I'd get a salad with it). We also tried the dumplings (gyoza/poststickers) and they were chicken and pan fried and delicious. 4/5. The only real miss for us was the french fries (3/5) I love a crinkle fry but they went WAY overboard with the seasoning. My french fry loving toddler wouldn't eat them, so next time I'll see if they would leave that off. Coke products are served, they appear to have alcohol as well (maybe just beer and wine?) They have table service and it was much larger on the inside than we were expecting. It looked like an order at the counter business but I think they just do a LOT of takeout, so the place definitely has a very casual/hole in the wall feel. Perfect for a casual meal with kids (although I'm not aware of a kids menu, we weren't offered one but we didn't ask, but my kids eat plenty of things on the menu) Everything was good. Nothing was omg amazing, but everything was good, so I look forward to trying other things on the menu. (Note I did see at least one item on the picture board that wasn't displayed on the regular menu (wedge salad), might just be a mistake on the menu) Food: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 2/5

Yelp
It's really good! I mean great comfort foods! With good seasonings wings could use a bit of work for the price but they are still decent but all the other dishes are really good and they come in great portions for what your paying, They also have drinks and Ice cream! They are good
google avatar

Teri J.

Yelp
This place was better than originally expected. The portions are huge (look at the fried rice)! Everything was pretty flavorful, though the wings could've been a bit more crispy (personal preference though). The food came out quickly and was decently priced. Overall a nice little spot to try and I'm sure we'll be back.
google avatar

Sheri G.

Yelp
We've been here before the wings and fried rice and keep coming back. Tonight I tried the lo mien and I have a new favorite. Delish! Everything is cooked to order so I added a couple extras. Great stuff!
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
So the chicken was cooked well but the sauce "Honey Garlic" is very disappointing! The chicken was not seasoned even though they fried it semi hard like party should be. The fried rice was a 5 out 10. Definitely need more work. There might be other dishes on the menu that's good but I definitely won't be coming back for the rice or wings.

Marty B.

Yelp
Heard great things about this place but did not impress at all. Ordered pick up. Hot and sour soup was cold and way too thick. Lid not secured either and spilled in bag. Portions small for price. 8 Joe Wings not worthy of price either. Very disappointed overall.

Alexis L.

Yelp
If you like your wings crispy, this isn't the place to get them. Got 15 crispy wings and they were soft and soggy. Took them back inside to get it remade and emphasized that I wanted them to be extra crispy and they were made the exact same way so I didn't even bother trying to get them fixed a second time. Service was great though. Very friendly.
google avatar

Lulu C.

Yelp
Good flavor food with amazing prices! It's sounds weird combination but somehow it works out good though. Super variety options. Can't beat the prices!

Todd M.

Yelp
Excellent fried rice ( have tried the chicken and the lemon pepper crawfish ). Wings are solid but seem to be smaller than other places in the area (pluckers / wing stop )
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
We visited for the second time last night. Everything we've had has been great - spicy edamame, wings, strips, fried rice, Philly cheesesteak, fries, churros. Buffalo sauce is the best I've ever had! Huge portions, good prices, interesting menu, and super friendly staff.
google avatar

Tommy C.

Yelp
What a fun little place to take your garbage disposal teenager to. Got the Buffalo hot, mango habanero and spicy lemon pepper wings, some dumplings and fried crawfish fried rice. The fried rice was my favorite but the wings were mighty tasty too. I like their unique takes on their sauces.
google avatar

Janae G.

Yelp
I had Wing Chow this past Friday. I ordered the wing combo with honey garlic wings and steak fried rice. My total was $21 which was really good for the amount of food and steak i got. The food was really good. The steak on the rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I liked the honey garlic but next time will try a different flavor. I look forward to trying their more popular fried rice options. Definitely recommend. The to go and person who took my order was nice. The wait wasnt too long. About 10 min.
google avatar

Jerry G.

Yelp
The wings here were fantastic! I tried their signature spice and it was really good with excellent crispiness. The fried rice and gumbo was pretty decent as well but the wings definitely stole the show. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Christa M.

Yelp
This was a delicious experience. I'm allergic to chicken, so I went with the sticky pork with rice. Pork was super tender and it had a wonderfully spicy sweet sauce. The fried rice is great! I've had many a Chinese fried rice, all disappointing. Not here. They actually season it amd its a bit crispy. My hub got 10 wings, garlic lemon pepper and hot buffalo. He loved them both. Drowned them in the ranch. The small size of crinkle fries were plenty and were well seasoned. Will be back!

Alexis W.

Yelp
Came in for lunch and got crab Rangoon, a Philly cheesesteak, and sticky pork fried rice. Service was great, food came out quick, and was very tasty.

MzTootzie W.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place has 4+ stars. I was so underwhelmed! The best thing I had was the edamame, it was sauced nicely. Thats the good. The chicken wings are not sauced, but fried and heavily seasoned similar to homestyle fried chicken. The wings are small. Fried rice --- HORRIBLE! The rice has a strong refrigerator taste, yuck . Not fresh at all. The owner greets guest as they come in which gives the place a local pub atmosphere. It was the first and the last time.

Paul C.

Yelp
I just did a to-go order. The combo fried rice is the best ever! The service was friendly and the food was ready fast. I will recommend and will be back! Thank you! Lori

Jake B.

Yelp
Food is very good. Service is wonderful. Great ambiance. Will be back. Good location.
google avatar

Kris-Tina M.

Yelp
The food presented here had layers of flavor. Large portions which I like ( for leftovers). The service was spot on. Food came out hot and in a timely manner meaning the wait time was not long. We even got a chance to meet the owner which was a nice personal touch. The bathrooms were well kept and the dinner area was clean as well. Now I hear they may be adding Gumbo to the menu and when they do we will be back for photos and another review.
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
This food was PHENOMENAL!!! Amazing service from Sean and Chelsea, and if I could give it 5 more stars, I would! Try try the asian sticky sauce on the wings and on tue sticky pork lo mein HINT: ask the owner what special secret menu item he has

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
We were looking for good wings, and we sure found them! The wings were crisp and well seasoned, garlic Parmesan and bbq sauce. The fries were good too and all served with delicious ranch dressing. Wing Chow has a menu filled with variety, and we'll be back to try more. It is a casual eatery with friendly efficient servers. All in all a great experience.

Michael S.

Yelp
What a surprise this place was. Food was amazing. Wings! On point! Lo mein! Same! Will definitely be coming back. And prices were very reasonable. The owner came around several times checking on us and explaining how everything was made. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jon P.

Yelp
The food is always delicious. The fried rice servings are huge. The wings are hot and crispy. The Blue Cheese dressing is the best ever. Huge chunks of cheese. Love this place!
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
The menu is reasonably large with a few non-wing items. The wings were flavorful and had a good amount of meat on them. The rice portion was huge! The waitperson was attentive and we were able to sit and talk as long as we wished.

Carla O.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant when it had just recently changed ownership and new menu with new staff. The Gentleman I met I believe was the new owner; he actually works the counter and expedites food just like any of his other workers would do. It was good food; I was being adventurous, so I got the Chicken with the Rice. I also tried some of the appetizers. While I thought the prices were a little higher than some; overall it was a good variety and I was able to eat more than 1 meal off what I bought. Give it a try; you will be pleased I believe.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant out when looking for Chinese food on a whim. While not a traditional Chinese restaurant, it hit the spot for tonite. Now for the ratings.. Service 7/10. Servers were polite and responsive. Water cups went empty a couple of times. Ambiance 7/10. Sit down restaurant with to go as well. Multiple TV's with sports and they also serve draft and bottled beer. Food Overall 6.8/10. Some really high notes and some misses. Crab Rangoon 7/10 Garlic Lemon Pepper Wings 9/10. These were outstanding. Buffalo Hot Wings 4/10. It was the sauce on these wings....not overly hot but not really that good. Side of Fried Rice 8/10. Really Really good fried rice. Coffee Gelato 1/10. Grainy. Not good. Would not order again.
google avatar

Leonard S.

Yelp
Pretty much trash food . Wings were soggy soft and greasy . Rice was tasteless and not even done . Garbage

Eddie B.

Yelp
I saw a lot of positive reviews on our local Facebook page so I thought I would give it a try. The staff in the front are very nice and professional. They were quick to give me my order. But I was disappointed in the food. After putting my to go order in my truck I could smell cooking oil. I was worried immediately that it wasn't going to be good. I ordered the 6 wings and fried rice combo. When I got home and opened the container, the smell of cooking oil was strong. After eating the rice there was a lot of cooking oil at the bottom of the container, like I've never seen before. I got the Hot Buffalo Wings and they were very salty. I immediately had a headache from the sodium. Maybe I hit it on a bad day, but it didn't live up to my expectations.
google avatar

Kyla S.

Yelp
We live on the other side of McKinney so we rarely make it out this way. I had a pleasant conversation with the young ladies at the front who recommended what I should order. I ended up getting the crawfish fried rice, 8+8 wings (lemon pepper and mango habanero) and some spring rolls. Guys. First of all I asked if the fried rice would be enough for two they were like yeah probably. It was sooo much LOL I got home and we DUG IN OMG it was soooo good. The chicken wings were PERFECT. The spring rolls were okay and I would t get them again. HOWEVER we would totally travel to the other side of town to eat here again. Love!

Julie R.

Yelp
We got vegetable fried rice. It was delicious and a large serving. The menu was so eclectic. I can't wait to go back and try things like watermelon feta salad, lemon pepper shrimp for my husband, Philly Cheesesteak for my son.

Rudolfo B.

Yelp
Best chicken wings I've ever had! Fried rice and French fries are also amazing. Very consistent service.
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
1st time to Wing Chow. We dined in and were fortunate to have Chelsea as our server. Their menu has a unique blend of options. Chelsea had wonderful recommendations and helped us figure out our meal. My son asked about their hottest sauce for the wings. Cheslea brought us a small taster of their chili oil sauce that had good flavor and lit us up!!! The owner stopped by and checked on us. It was nice to meet an owner that is involved and takes pride in his restaurant, personnel and in his food. Looking forward to trying the lo mien next time!!! Finished up with an off the menu dessert. Be sure and ask about the churro and ice cream delight!!!

Looket B.

Yelp
I'm not sure that people truly know what GOOD food is supposed to taste like anymore. This place is subpar. Nothing spectacular about the flavor of the food and I ordered two of their most popular items. The sticky pork rice I ordered was actually flavorless I had to use some soy sauce I'd gotten from "Burning Rice" to liven it up! Not to mention it had far too many peas and carrots in it that were terribly undercooked! This place was reviewed on Tik Tok as outstanding specifically for this rice and I'm not sure why? The wings weren't much better.... and just like that $26.00 down the drain

Angel S.

Yelp
5 Burnt shrimps in my fried rice...24.00 on grub hub...feelin some type of way...won't b ordering this again
