I decided to check out this brewery on a whim after seeing their advertisements online. I can see why they've gotten the best bar & pub for the past 2 years. The beer is delicious. The atmosphere is great. The staff is so friendly. If I could rate it any higher I would!

First time visiting primal and I’m blown away! Carl is amazing, he gets to know all his customers and he has a great personality. The drinks are amazing! My favorite drinks are the Dr Pepper stout, the big dill and the X-perimen-T

We finally visited Primal Brewings new location on Treadway. Carl (the owner) was so funny and so nice and made us feel so welcome and at home. We literally tried all the beers and I can honestly say my palette enjoyed all of them.The Dill, the porter with Dr. Pepper, The Blonde. So good! It’s a great family atmosphere or a great place to enjoy a true a date night true brewery experience with amazing craft beer. I highly recommend going to visit them! We will be back soon.

We went to this brewery as we were passing through Abilene. The beers were all fantastic, the atmosphere relaxed and open, and the brewer was incredibly friendly and down to earth. This brewery has the best pickle beer we have ever had in our lives. (We've been to hundreds of breweries and have had many pickle beers to compare.) My favorite beer was the peanut butter stout. I love stouts, but I am particular about them. This one was incredibly smooth and had just the perfect flavor of peanut butter. We greatly appreciated the creative mixes along with the beer quality. Often, the pursuit of one sacrifices the other, but here, no. If I could, I would relocate the brewery to my hometown.

Damn good beer…and I wished it was colder. It was STILL very good. I do understand not having it super cold, so flavors come through, and I understand the insufferable Texas heat being part of the issue. I would still go back. I had two flights, so I could try different flavors. The SCENT of each beer was really, truly fabulous. They have a lot of flavored blonde beers (blueberry, strawberry, Peach, butterscotch,) and they all were VERY recognizable from just smelling the flight glass. I will say…the Buffalo 64 was by far my favorite beer. The bartender (Uncle Buddy) was kind, knowledgeable, and a great conversationalist! I hope they add some televisions, since I’m a big sports fan…and get the beer a little colder. A food truck would also be a great addition someday. I hope they are successful here in Abilene.
